Kianna was lounging in a chair with a small device set out on the table before her as she watched the holographic imagery playing out over and over again.

At first she had been resistant to Mollem's insistence that they leave the palace for a time, as she had a lot of work to get caught up on from her absence. But then again, it had been her obsessive work hours that had been the cause of their spat in the first place, and she had relented in the end. Some time away at the McGregor manor couldn't hurt, and she could get up to speed on recent political matters from here easily enough.

For the moment though she was delving into the incident from Terra, and the holographic imagery currently playing out was that of the attack on her in Randin's appartment, taken from the recording device that her combat suit was outfitted with. She hadn't shown it to Mollem yet, and instead had wanted to study it a while in private before sharing the footage with him.

The holograph had afforded her what her eyes hadn't during the assault. A full surround visual of her surroundings which were being displayed in full 3-dimensional imagery.

Mollem had been busy with his own affairs, going over the logs from Admiral Nash and her report over and over again, in addition to reports that were pouring in from across the Isirian hold.

"This isn't good." Mollem mumbled before he placed his own holocron down on the end table, and then he flipped the television on from the comfort of his couch.

"Ten thousand channels and nothing good to watch." The Emperor said with a scowl, before he stood up from his spot on the couch, and then he started towards the balcony. It was a warm and rather sunny day outside, easily in the seventies and the sun was high over the horizon.

"You know I grew up in this house." Mollem said, coming out onto the patio balcony.

"There's some things going on in Isiria that's got the Military riled up, but I'm going to handle that when we get back to Caprica... what seems to be bothering you?"

She slid the device over towards Mollem so that he could get a look at the footage while Kianna frowned thoughtfully at it.

The entire recording spanned only a few minutes from beginning to end. Cloaked units opened fire on the windows as glass and debris rained down around Kianna who had turned to shelter the infant in her arms. The sound of broken glass crunched beneath the units as they scrambled through the windows, but it was difficult to assess just how many there were without a visual on any of them. Kianna had turned then, grabbing Charlotte by the throat before the pair blinked out to a neighboring apartment complex.

Once there, Kianna had abruptly subdued Charlotte with a back handed blow, followed by a swift disarmament of a man within the apartment complex. Walking to the window of the apartment complex she had witnessed a man conversing with himself - or perhaps one of the invisible assailants. He had been too far off for Kianna to make out his words, but a second figure had entered the fray as well. It was an individual Mollem would recognize well.

While Messor and Hatchet faced off, Kianna had swiftly extracted herself from the situation via bifrost.

"I believe you're familiar with Messor," Kianna remarked thoughtfully. "I'm running some facial recognition on the other to try and get a name. He's familiar. Had something to do with the Cassey situation a while back. Someone came to see me about it, a reporter maybe. I can't remember his name."

She frowned, wishing she had paid the man more than thirty seconds of her attention when he had come to see her about some footage that had been aired regarding Cassey's capture and torture.

As the recording started to replay she paused it.

"He's seen here again too, when the shooting happened," she noted.

This particular bit had caught her eye. During the shooting itself it had gone unnoticed, but watching the recording now, one could see Hatchet placing something into Randin's mailbox while seemingly unconcerned by the explosion of gunfire going on only yards away.

"I wonder if what he put in there is still there. As I understand it, Randin was taken into custody by the WCPD shortly after this. I imagine no one's been by his place to check his mailbox since this happened."

She leaned back in her chair.

"Also note the location of these two shooters. They both had clear shots on me, but they didn't take them. Whatever their objective was, they weren't going for a kill."

Though the units were invisible, one could get a fix on their positions via the source of the gunfire.

Mollem watched the footage with relatively impassivity. His eyes moved around to observe the hologram. He rewound it, and then he played it again.

"Forward it to the LDA, they have the resources to analyse this stuff, and would be able to give you a detailed report on everything." Mollem said, stopping the image to show Hatchet talking to one of the Automatons.

"That guy probably has a dossier sitting somewhere in some archive in Caprica City.. hmm..." He then brought up anothr holographic screen, with a quick text message to Minister Chaska, he was connected with Agent Duram, who happened to be in his office at the time.

As his fingers moved across the holographic keyboard, the man's face appeared on a screen.

"I worship his shadow.." The Man parroted, and Mollem nodded. "I need you to take a look at this video footage, tell me what you see..." He said, and Duram nodded.

"What do we have?" He asked as Mollem sent the footage, and the Agent silently watched the footage, making a face as he did so. "Someone made a move on the Black Hand? Alright let me see..." He said, feeding the image through the AI Banks, which analyzed everything on several spectrums, and once the results came out, the Agent frowned.

"Here's everything the AI banks spat out." He said, another screen flickering to life showing several Dossiers, one of Randin, one of the Black Hand, one on Messor, and one on the unidentified Individual. 'Hatchet'

"Don't have much on Messor and Hatchet, just know that Messor is some kind of entity on Terra, and Hatchet is a terrorist with suspected connections to Mammon, what's the importance in all this?" The Agent asked.

Mollem turned to Kianna.

Kianna shook her head.

"I don't know," she remarked with another thoughtful frown. "I initially assumed it was a mistake and that Randin was their target. I figured they hadn't expected to find me there," she explained.

She didn't bother to explain why exactly she was there.

"But after watching this I'm not sure. This was well played and with pointed intent. Certainly whoever went through all of this trouble would have known something as simple as the fact that Randin would be at work. Which means they waited until he was gone and I was alone."

Duram continued to observe the footage, before he ran his hands across the holographic screens.

"Ah... interesting..." The Agent said, leaning forward.

"Your attack, and the Attack on the police department seem to be connected... I just found this from some intercepted communications from the PD..."

It was then a text message appeared on the holocron.

“Hatchet, I’m going to text you an address I pulled out of Randin’s head. Go find Kianna and i’ll meet up with you later.”

"Your attack was linked to an Officer named Randin Kaye, interestingly enough it seems... this is why we suspect Hatchet might be working for Mammon, we'll have to follow up on the investigation." Duram Added, while Mollem scowled.

Kianna only nodded at the information.

"Keep us posted on the investigation," Kianna replied before the call was ended.

She shook her head at the situation before she threw a glance over to Mollem.

"What have you got? You said something about trouble in Isiria? I don't suppose this has anything to do with why you had me recall Whisper from her assignment on Terra?" she asked.

Mollem nodded, shifting the holocron to display logs from the diplomatic meeting in Isirian Space, where Aiyanna and an unidentified Alien woman sat speaking to a group of unidentified Aliens.

"The redhead is a woman by the name of Myuria, she's an envoy from a peaceful alien civilization from beyond our Galaxy, she's been working with Tech Con on some R and D project. The other Aliens aren't quite so peaceful." Mollem said, as the exchange played out before them.

It was then everything suddenly went black, and static before alarms were being blared. The ship had gone to condition one, and it seemed the Aliens were preparing to attack, and in seconds the entire exchange went south.

"We allowed them to leave as a diplomatic gesture after they compromised the systems of the Absolution, they managed to take them over before Admiral Nash did a hard reboot and restored the ship." Mollem said, nodding to the hologram.

"The Aliens were spotted again by the Aurora in the Gaelian System, there was no hostility at that exchange." Mollem explained.

"And a third time by Dark Rain scouts in the Uranos System, Minister Chaska thinks they're scouts for a potential invasion. Especially after using peace as cover to infiltrate our ships." Mollem said.

"They've had everyone on edge lately."

"I imagine you want Whisper out there," Kianna remarked thoughtfully. "Her ties with Dark Rain will certainly help maintain stability over that alliance," she noted. "I'll have the orders drawn up later today to reassign her out there," she remarked. "I'm going to send Echo with her as well. Maybe we'll get lucky and he'll get his hands on some of that alien tech. And I would keep an eye out here as well in case Isiria is just a diversion. If we're lucky it's nothing, and the whole thing will just blow over, but we wouldn't want to get blind-sided in our own front yard."

Mollem nodded slightly.

"From a Military perspective, I want to reinforce the Aurora, but also understand that the Empire needs to be protected... I want special projects on this one." Mollem said, shifting in his seat.

"Minister of Defense is aware of the situation, and I'm going to leave the military thinking to the military minds, since I left that life behind. I'm hoping that this will blow over, but I could be totally wrong and we're looking at a very bloody war. But... hey we've lived through worse, right?"

"You lived," Kianna reminded him. "As I recall, I got shot in the head."

She mused thoughtfully.

"A war may not be such a terrible thing," she added after a time. "Our position is far more secure than it was even just a few months ago. A common enemy could be just what we need to bring an end to the Isirian insurgencies. Or at the very least to divide out those loyal... from those not. If Isiria fell to civil war, it would be far easier to eliminate the insurgents without martyring them. Either way, a war would probably strengthen our position in the Aurora."

"I fully intend to spin this politically to our advantage, and will keep working the angle to get the people riled up." Mollem said as he shifted in his chair once more.

"By separating the separatists from the loyalists, we can easily eliminate them."

"A common enemy would make our position better to solidify alliances, and try to secure our position in the international community. But if we're going to have a war, I want to make damn sure it's clear that they started it, preferably unprovoked."

"I have a good teacher." He said with a smile, before he stood up, and started towards the door.
