Setting
The wonders of this path, is that it can be dangerous, or harmless. This all depends on the principles of a simple formula. The pathway itself is nothing but a space-time overlapping continuum, that interrupts the dynamics of the warped area loop distortion. What that means, is that this is a road that was meant to be a spell to make people walk in circles. But failed, and accidentally warped itself into something that was balanced and greater than anything ever imagined...taking a life of it's own, this being an all connecting road. The interesting thing about the road, is that since it's creation 4000 thousand years ago, its been expanding itself into different dimensions, area, worlds, galaxies, and even time periods. All of this being an accidental bi-product of a prank, from one wizard plotting against another. This is a place of lustrous wonder, for you could find yourself, or anyone else, with the right direction. But realize, in a place so alive, anything is possible, as well as anything could happen.
The Multi-Dimen Pathway has, in effect, taken on a life of it's own. Weaving its will around those walking through it. People who venture through, need know where they are headed. They need a vivid picture in their mind, so that they will end up in the correct place. However, if the Pathway itself, sees the need to place you in an entirely different area/place/galaxy or time period, it is because you need to see something important. But beware, venturing into this pathway, as you should well know, will be challenging for the fact that it overlaps places where dragons, trolls, wayward wizards, criminals, runaways, lost souls, undead, and everything in between, roam. If you are looking to train, do it elsewhere unless you know what you are doing. If you are looking to pass through, have someone with experience doing so, help you along. For you WILL find yourself wishing you had.

"Shesha! We cant' go anywhere. The Pathway is not there anymore." Nexus grabbed her, and turned her in the direction they had came. "See! We have to figure this out."
If he didn't come, she was going to abandon him. And why not? She had done the same to her own village. To this village.
Sheesha was trembling more than a little.
Nexus crouched down next to Sheesha, throwing his Dragon Duster Coat over her. "Sheesha, calm down. I'm here for you. Your not in danger, Don't worry." Nexus's eyes started glowing blue, and he started to reach out with his senses to confirm how much danger they were in. "What are the 'dark ones'?"
"They come to fire..." was all she could manage.
It was how these creatures discovered her village, and many other villages. Like moths to light. And soon Nexus was about to get up close and personal with a whole bunch of them.
Nexus was looking about when he say figures floeating in the sky. He knew not what it was, But was looking to find out, so he could escape this place as soon as possible.
Nexus drew his sword, sent a tiny bolt of energy into the sky, creating storm sloads that would continuesly clap lightining across the ionized sloads, so that it stayed illuminating the sky and broad village area. The village turned out to be more than big, but was too spread out and burned up to tell.
A falling burning tree branch feel nearby, off a tree above/ It looked to be a part of a house, Nexus swung his sword, creating wind, strong enough to blow it away off course, to miss the duo. But it crashed with a load cracking sound as it split when it hit the floor.
They looked to be batlike, maybe, based off their wings, which lacked any sign of feather, fur or scale. They were simply skin strung over bone. Their heads were long and tube-like, with no discernable eyes, just a large open mouth. Each had two hind legs with four claws a piece, and a tail that ended in a sharp stabbing point.
The creatures were quick to work, tails jabbing into wood and tossing it aside so they could duck their heads down and siphon up the dying flames here and there. They devoured ash, coals and roasted bodies alike.
Nexus bent down on one knee, stil ready for any attack, as he aske her in a low voice "Sheesha, is this your village? Is this what happened to you?" Nexus was sure that this was indeed the village, he wasn'e expecting her to answer, for she seemed to be hiding from the hidious bat-like creatures.
NExus was still not sure what to do, There seemed to be some villagers fleeeing, the bat-like creature didnt pay them much mind at the moment. But Nexus was sure that would change momentarily. Nexus cloned himself into 4, sending the the other three out to help with making sure the villagers that were remaining got out alive somehow.
The clones flashtepped over toward the villagers that seemed to be injured and burned. They looked to have gotten in a fight, previous to the fire. But were barely hopping away. Some where in a hobble like run, doing what they could to escape. Clone Nexus's picked the diabbled up and tried to help some along, but they faught againgst him, thinking him to be a threat. "No..no, I'm here to help." They all said, but he was sure that seeing 3 of the same person might freak some out.
Claws swiped violently for any who came too close, but should they fail to reach the intended target a Dark One would just continue to turn, tail much longer than the rest of their body and with those cruel hooked blade ends, ready to impale and eviscerate.
Nexus would scoop up Sheesha, so that when he turned his barrier to full 10 foot radius, the blast would be centered, and not effect her. Nexus would touch the trembling tribeswomen's forehead, to protect her from any further lightning that would come from Nexus's body.
As soon as the scooping motion happened. he would turn up his barrier, in time to get struck by the claw, which was deflected, and singed from the lightning. Nexus would jump back ten feet whilst he touched Sheesha's forehead, to avoid any incoming attacks. With some luck, he somehow avoided a sharp tail he didn't see coming at all in the lighting. Nexus would start to hop-skip in a random direction, holding his sword in one hand, and Sheesh, slung over his shoulder.
Fortunately the lightning barrier would probably hold it at bay, while the other creatures assaulted the clones in kind.
Another clone that was further back, and further away, would sense this, and turn around, placing the women he was holding, onto the forest floor, and told her to run. He would turn around and jump into a nearby tree, that was deteriorating it seemed. This clone would turn up it's barrier on full, and blast the trees around it, making them fall and create more fire. The creature would be distracted by the fire, and the clone would use that chance to strike.
Nexus was still holding Sheesha, and noticed the noxious looking gas that was emitted at him, he would swing his sword, creating a strong wind that should buffer the gas away. Nexus would point his sword at the creature, directly after the swing, and blast it with a precession high voltage stream of lightning.
The Dark Ones began to back away from their attackers, retreating until they all stood together in one tight pack, all facing outwards.
The clones would wait in awe as they looked for the dust to clear,
Trees were reduced to splinters in seconds and flesh rippled and burst from the vibrations, but fortunately it appeared the range was limited, only travelling a half-dozen feet before fading.
Nexus had jumped in the air an back as well, looking for an opening, and analyzing the attack pattern. He wasn't sure what to make of it. But he knew the villagers were safe, so maybe he should run?
"Sheesha! Are you awake?" Nexus would smack her on her derriere, when they hit the ground 20 feet from the original jump point, to get her attention if she was truly playing possum. "I need you to tell me if I can beat them." Nexus was still looking upon the creatures as he said this, whilst also gaining footing from the backwards.
They swerved back in, twirling together in spiraling formation. The pattern looked quite like a whirlwind or tornado, but the creatures themselves were ascending, risking the earlier summoned storm rather than fighting.
The clone took Sheesha, and hopped back 20 more feet. Nexus's eyes began to glow bright red. Sparking out of control, his barrier turned red and black in color. Nexus was shifting everything that had a voltage, in the nearby area, which happened to only be the nearby residual multi-dimensional pathway energy. He would gather it in a tendril like manner, and turn it into fuel for his attack.
Nexus raised his sword, and sent a bolt of lightning into the clouds, that would gather in a stormy cloud fashion, creating a deeper darkness. But then thunder would clap between the clouds, in a red color palate. Nexus would point the tip of his blade at the ground, and then raise it quickly, forcing lightning to clap onto it. It would have a blast radius of about ten feet. Nexus's red lightning was now covering his blade, and ready for one of his ultimate attacks. The Lightning Clap. Nexus summoned an enormous blast of red-black incendiary lighting to clap down from the sky, creating a 50 foot crater in the spot of the creature's swirling. It would blast everyone within a 75 foot radius back, and electrocute them. Excluding his clone, which was 120 feet away.
Nexus would probably come to understand soon.
Turning around, he walked toward his clone, who was still holding Sheesha, and she was balling her eyes out. "Sheesha, are you ok?" He asked sincerely.
Nexus knelt down, trying to give the tribeswomen some type of comfort. He attempted to hug her, and embrace her, so that she knew she wasn't alone.
"I'm here for you Sheesha, don't worry. It's over." Nexus was already mentally calling on Heralding, fricking get to where they were, asap.
It was all just too much.
The Nexus clone would send a tiny electrical impulse into Sheesha's back, allowing for better flow current, a side effect always being the happy memories of the shocked person, surfacing. Creating a more relaxed feeling. Her body would feel less stressed and less hurt or sore because of the small jolt that the clone sent her. The clone would disappear, and a portal would appear in it's place. Swirling a deep blue and purple. Heralding would step out.
