Setting
- An actual amusement park complete with roller coasters and a ferris wheel among many other attractions.
- Two sports arenas for such classics as baseball, football, tennis, hockey, basketball, and other such things.
- A theater where one can both watch live musicals played by Pokemon or movies filmed straight from Pokestar Studios for a modest price.
- The local gym, where one can expect to find live music and beautiful women presenting themselves on a catwalk, courtesy of the gym's leader: Elesa. Also the occasional heated pokemon battle~
"Hey..!" she said hesitantly, seemingly unsure where to go with the conversation already
"Nice Dragonite. I don't thin I've ever seen one so big. Did you catch 'em like that?"
"My pokemon," he added hastily, then reached for the ball at his belt and tossed it to distract from any Freudian slips. A bright flash came out and from it emerged the black charizard, Flameheart, with a low growl and a glare at each of the other dragons. He immediately shifted into a fighting stance.
"Woah, Flameheart, cool off. These are friends."
The charizard didn't seem too pleased at this, but begrudgingly stood normally.
"I'd rather keep Sunny where he is right now. But if we go out of town I guess I'd be okay with breaking him out. If that's okay with you."
Towards the edge of town he went, tapping lightly on his left hidden behind his trench coat and nodding calmly.
Another bright flash, and this time out came something much smaller. Blue and white and all adorable, Sunny was naturally a Piplup. The small creature immediately attempted a pose, folding its wings over its chest.
Flameheart let out a baffled growl, then an angry one. He knew all too well the regulations; using Piplup as a starter. What was Adam's game? Was he replacing the charizard? Flameheart did not like the idea one bit.
He sounded so damn sure of himself.
"Sunny, c'mere," he said, leaning down. The Piplup at once hurried over with a cry of, "Pipipi!" and snatched the sunglasses right off his face and put them on instead. Adam looked a little surprised, then laughed, reaching his arms out to scoop them up into his arms. "Stoppit you monster."
Flameheart from the side stared furiously.
Flameheart now learn down to eye level with Sunny, the much larger pokemon looking able to practically swallow the smaller just from size difference. Sunny reached out to pat him on the nose.
"Which is why..."
"I think we should work together."
"It's not too late to try again. It never is. So long as you've got the guts and your pokemon are willing to give everything they've got, then you can do it. But if you ask them to work hard, you have to work with them."
"So why'd you get into pokemon anyway?"
After a moment she turned to give Adam a rather frustrated look. "...We /have/ to, don't we." she stated, apparently not totally eager. She closed her eyes for a moment before turning to her own charizard. "...Fine." she said, almost slightly resentfully. "Charizard? I choose you..." she said, motioning to the pseudo dragon pokemon. Charizard stretched her limbs and wings in preparation for battle and lumbered forward, fixing her eyes on Flameheart. She turned her nose up once she reached a comfortable distance and proceeded to snort, a small stream of smoke puffing out from her nostrils.
