Setting
Johto's major port city, Olivine takes its access to the seas fairly seriously. The lighthouse is a popular hangout for trainers to meet and of course battle, and at the very top is a very special Ampharos responsible for supplying that light. The SS Aqua takes trainers from here to Vermilion City twice a week. All you need is a pass and you're there in the time it takes to get in a solid nap...and a few battles, of course. On the beach is not only a bunch of boulders to practice the rock smash skill on, but also the entrance to the Battle Frontier.
Due to its proximity to the nerve center of the UPL's military operations, Olivine is home to the nation's naval presence, watching the seas for those with hostile intent and using arc cannons that fire electricity to neutralize the threat along with standard flak guns.

DIN-02 casually grinned in a carefree manner at Kitty.
As the group descended into the submarine they would find Roger hovering over a dashboard. Valorie seemed to nod in a thoughtful manner as Titania greeted her. "...That's a pretty good way to describe it." she mused aloud, apparently thankful for Titania's tact.
The submarine's engines roared to life and a solitary red warning light greeted Roger's face. The man narrowed his eyes, staring the warning light down. It stared back unrelentingly. A sigh escaped his lips. "Well--That's the end of that. Ladies--Gentle...bots, we have a problem." he announced, ushering the group out of the submarine.
...Back on the docks. "Sorry about the rush, but it looks like my sub's out of commission for a little while." Roger explained, holding up his arms. "Luckily, I can ask a friend to head on over and bring their sub. It'll probably take about an hour for them to get here. If you want to hang around I'll order some pizza. I'm going to be settling some business with our new 'friend'. Hopefully by the time our loaned sub comes around the pizza will be long gone and we'll be able to set to sea without any further delays." Roger explained, his eyes trailing to Isabella. The man was clearly a bit frustrated with the situation.
...Roughly an hour and several local pizzas later, a new submarine arrived with a somewhat younger man beckoning the group on board. Note-worthily, Roger and Isabella would be staying behind to deal with the issue of their little 'accident'.
As the group boarded, the submarine was already ready to begin descending. "Alright. For the first part of our trip I'll request everyone be sitting and strapped in. My name is Tristan, I'll be in guiding you to The Gaol." he announced.
"About time!" DIN-02 announced enthusiastically.
Hoping things wouldn't get too hectic, Kitty would nod to Tristan silently, ready to go. Onward, to adventure!
"Oh man. After a meal like that, I'm ready to take on the world," Titania beamed, but Shirona gave her broad shoulder a little squeeze to remind the redhead just how far she had to go. The taller blonde could squash her any day of the week, and they both knew it. Shirona then seized the initiative. "All right. It's going to be a tight fit, but we'll all have to strap into this one sub. Can't have the two bumping into each other. I'll be up front with the pilot. Titania, hook up the tanks, you've got that wrench-turning strength. Gold, Tristan and I are going to need to see what you showed Titania earlier so we can navigate." This maneuver was meant not only to find their way down, but to give the girls some peace and quiet while they changed into their suits.
"Once everyone's suited up, we're heading off!" Shirona smiled as Titania got to work immediately. Part of being a great Trainer was knowing how to make the most of what you had to work with. While the iron maiden in front of her tried to rely on a steel-type's natural defenses to outlast a foe while blindly hammering away, there was a visible gap in experience and ability. It was the difference between a novice and a grandmaster--one was learning how to figure out what the right move was, while the other simply knew from being in a similar situation dozens of times. Meanwhile, she hunched over and looked at Gold. "I'd like that file, please."
Titania, for her part, was anxious to get on the road already before the mood to confront her personal demons passed and she regressed into anger and self-loathing. Once the kids were suited up, the adults would go into the changing room.
"So, Titania, I noticed you were unusually tactful back there about one of the kids. Has something gotten into you?"
"Call it turning over a new leaf. I think I'll leave this one turned, given the reaction I got from you." An insane, playful grin from the redhead.
"Have you dyed your hair? It definitely looks brighter than before."
"Nah, this is natural. What's really weird is that I barely go outside and yet my skin's gotten darker."
"When we get back to the surface, you and I are going to have a long talk," Shirona sighed to Titania. Something didn't add up here. The ex-champion of Sinnoh needed answers about Titania's misadventures on Terra.

Sitting in the veranda on the second deck, overlooking the ocean, a man with long flaring orange hair sat in a white pinstripe buttoned up suit, with black wingtips that had a mirror shine. Legs crossed, he reached for the small tea cup on the table beside him, sipping slowly. Pulling back the cuff on his left wrist, he looked at his watch patiently, smiling as he folded his hands in his lap, a sigh of relief escaping him. It was going to be a busy day, but it was nothing that he wasn’t already prepared to handle.
He had been expecting a guest, or family rather. The man had been fond of picking up broken things throughout his life, and not just Pokémon for that matter. It was only when he was in his early twenties that he came across a girl, orphaned without a soul in the world to care for her. There was a potential there, one hidden from the prying eye; but he’d always had a way of sniffing out talent, so he nurtured it, sending her to the best school’s money could afford. It was an investment to be sure, but it was time to collect. She was like a daughter to him, although he’d never truly been the compassionate type. Perhaps it was true that he had a soft spot for the girl, but only time would tell.

"Hey kid! You lost?" A sailor carrying two large buckets called out to her. This sudden voice made her jump a bit, and turn towards the voice.
"Oh, no, I..I know where I'm going sir." She replied back to him.
"Well alright then. Just be careful ok. This place can be a bit rough at night." He said, shrugging and going about his way to the other end of the dock.
"Y..Yes, thank you. I will." She said back, bowing a couple of times. She then stood and watched as the man boarded his ship before turning around to go to her destination. Once at the rail boarding of her desired ship she was stopped yet again by the man standing guard at it.
"Hey kid, unless you have some kind of proo..." was all that he managed to say before the girl's eyes lit up, and froze the man where he stood.
"Once I have boarded the ship you are to also board, and pull the railing. You will do as I say." The girl told him in a low growl. Once she had gone up the railing the man did as he was told, and had regained his composure after she had rounded the corner to go up the stairs to the second deck. When she had gotten there she saw the man she recognized, smiled, and slowly walked up to him.
"Hello Sir. It has been done." She said simply. As if this was the code phrase a small cry came from her hat as two large eyes peered from the seam of the hat. Slowly the hat left the girls head, and formed back into a mismagius to the right of her revealing the girl's real identity. The girl had long purple hair that matched her soft, childlike, purple glazed eyes. She wore a black dress with black flats, and was rather plain looking. Just an ordinary girl to main people's standings.
"Ahoy there. You don't seem to be from around here, so...welcome to Johto. Come, sit with this old man. Let him regale you with tales of the old ways, lest they die with him. Of the days before Poké Balls, when humans listened to Pokémon and what they think about the world's affairs. Growlithe, if you would be so kind as to start a little campfire for us?" He wasn't ready to share the peace pipe just yet...
The puppy Pokémon was happy to oblige with an Ember attack, even if it was worded more as asking for a favor than a typical Trainer giving it like a command.
Wait...there was something missing here...WAKATA! "Unfezant, I know you're tired, but time is short. Let's go home."
