Ravelle: Residential Area

It had been a long and silent drive to Noella's house within Ravelle. Her hands were in her lap, eyes aimed downward. She didn't have much to say to the Hunter.

"Stop here," she told him, pointing to a house that looked suitable for a doll. Over the grails and the iron gates, one coudl clearly see the purple painted beams and the white walls. Three stories in all, it was a charming town house. It was hard to imagine the horrors that had, perhaps, happened inside.

Noella seemed hesitant to even leave the car.

Vincent looked over the homestead, eager to initiate the job. He had dealt with vengeful spirits before, and in his arrogant confidence, he felt that this would be a simple matter. "Alright then. Let's go inside." He practically clambered out of the driver side door, not even walking around to let Noella out from her side.

Whether she followed or not wasn't really something he was concerned with; all he cared for was getting the job done and ridding this plane of another wretched being seeking to harm other people.

Gathering her strength, Noella followed, walking up to the gates. She fiddled with the gate, looking confusedly at the chain there.

"I didn't lock it when I left..." she mumbled, retrieving a key from her pocket. Jamming the key in the lock, she twisted it, and the chain fell to the ground in a heap. Noella pushed the gates open, but she didn't enter. Her face drained of any color it had before.

There, strewn across the yard, were dozens of bodies. All were small critters. Rabbits, squirrels, the like... but this wasn't the work of the neighborhood cat. It would have been difficult, the woman thought, for such a creature to hang bodies from a rope off her porch.

The sights before him weren't the most disturbing the young Hunter had ever seen, and certainly not enough to dissuade him from continuing the job. Still, the lengths these spirits were going to in order to frighten Noella were quite grotesque. He didn't grimace, but he couldn't help but think of how Noella must feel at this moment. "Let's head in," he said sternly.

Once inside, he procured a small, handheld device from his belt: An EMF meter, used to measure electromagnetic fields generated by spectral energies. He didn't have a reading just yet, but would more than likely begin to pick one up should the spirits come into their presence.

The meter would pick up something, alright. The readings would be off the charts, spiking high, then completely falling flat again.

There was a noise within the house. Like someone was running up stairs. Noella glanced at the Hunter, fear in her eyes.

A Group of Men in heavy armor approached. They wielded giant guns and hammers. They were led by a man in golden armor. He held a golden sword that the blade glowed with fire.
