The Stalagmite garden was the pride of the Ousstyl household. Giant formations some natural and others magically crafted in the shape of hook teeth, lined in a U-fashion. The pathway etched in obsidian, ornate demonic runes glowing in the slumber of a maroon, little more than faint dots int he expanse of black that was the Underdark. Around it was the spider fence, enchanted bars of adamantine that gripped anything that touched them with magic adhesive that never let go. There were no guards here, it was a place specifically for the Females and the Matron Mother of the house. Fixated in the center of the stony maw was a mithril frame, made from wires spun like spider silk and so thin it seemed that even a simple footstep could break them. Lines of cobalt energy sparked to life and hissed in a powerful surge of mana that swelled into a doorway as black as the Underdark. Brizriia stepped through, the red glow of her eyes as bright as two tears of blood. The beautiful black of her home twisted to the blues and purples of her infra-vision. She let the gateway shudder closed, uncaring should the gate take out a life or chair in the wretched surface world. Her left hand clasped upon the pendant she retrieved after slaying that bitch who worked with Drakus to force her into hiding. Drakus, that name drought a scowl and a lust-filled hate for that man. Oh how she wanted to turn him into one of her toys so she could break him- That was for another time. Uncurling ebony fingers she peered at her new found trinket, lifting a finger and chanting a simple incantation to magically search her find for that interesting spark that drew her attention to it in the first place.

Within the amulet there was indeed a spark of magic, though it wasn't just magic that Brizriia would find. Within its core could be detected a spark of life and consciousness, albeit a weak one. The amulet's bond with Red's body had been suitably severed at the hands of Brizriia, but the bond with her soul remained strong, tethering her to the object in death, as it had in life.

However, the expenditure of energy in Red's moments prior to her death, as well as the shock of having her soul torn free of her body left her in a state of torpor. She simply existed, outside of any awareness of space and time. For now anyways.

Paired with Red's weak life energy was a second, dormant energy that seemed to be thoroughly entwined with her own, creating a life link of sorts. It was from this dormant, yet self sustaining, energy that Red's life force would seem to grow stronger over time, though the process was slow.

Outside of the more intricate nature of the object, some more rudimentary enchantments would be detected, though intricate and complex in how they coexisted alongside each other without causing instability within the item. The primary ones seemed to be extensive protective wards overlain in an intricate network of magical defenses to keep the object itself from sustaining damage. There also existed a simple protective enchantment that would be applied the amulet's wearer, shielding them from heat and flame – unsurprising, given Red's penchant for fiery displays.

She closed her hand tightly around her prize, eyes growing even more red than their usual soulless black. Standing tall she strode from the courtyard through a pair of doors, held open by what looked like crying statues. One an elf and the other a human, both female and naked. Oh the memories from those two! She sighed remembering how easily they broke though, not that should could expect much from children barely over a decade. It was her sister who offered to change them into more permanent features, and they looked so well together. She licked her lips as she thought of her other toys waiting for her in her chambers but she just found a new plaything that required study. Moving down the hallways she passed down open doors and rooms little more than ruins, exposed to the outside world but left unguarded. Her nose twitched the concentration of pure mana in their still beyond normal tolerance levels as it smelled of sweat, blood, lust and the faintest edges of her magic. Such a sad accident that claimed her older sisters and mother. At least she and her younger sister, who Briz couldn't even recall her name, were safe from the attack, leaving the third oldest (after the previous third mysteriously vanished) in line to take over the house in their grim absence.

Tracing a finger over smooth stone her tail flicked the magic catch of a door and waited for it to glide open before she moved within, letting the door shut behind her. Inside the harsh glow of lamps broke her red glow, her black eyes more dominant as she smiled, noting her dear sister chained in magic bonds across the room, body quivering from the latest tests of her artifacts she inflicted upon her.

Throwing the pendant onto the desk she walked over, surveying that soft face while a finger caressed her cheek. Leaning in she licked her sibling's flesh, tasting the sweat and fear as the other was still conscious. "Momma's home..."

The concentration of such pure and raw magical energies in the area sent a pulse of energy through the amulet, almost as if it were feeding on the unrestrained and loose energies that inhabited the area. Though having discarded the amulet on the desk, whether Brizriia would take note was hard to say.

However, even if Brizriia did not, someone else did as Red's consciousness began to stir. Normally it would take her days, if not weeks to regain strength enough to become self-aware, but rarely was her amulet left in the presence of such raw power either.

Pain. Pain was the first recollection, such intense pain, the likes of which she had not endured in such a very long time. Her shrieks echoed through her mind, though they were simply memories, recollections of her last moments of life. They soon faded away in favor of the present.

Distantly voices reached her, and the sweet sound of unsteady breathing. Fear. It was something she had taken such great delights in causing once upon a time. Where had she lost her way? The lust for the kill, and the pleasure in inflicting torment onto others? Was it Drakus? Had he left her this shattered shell of her former self? Brizriia? No she had lost her spark, her cruelty, her lust for life long before the drow had entered the picture.

As she swam through her half-conscious state she hadn't yet discerned where she was, or gained awareness enough to direct her thoughts out of their introverted nature just yet. For the moment anyways, she felt safe, secure, sheltered within the confines of her amulet, surrounded by such memorable and at one time, pleasurable sounds. A moment of peace perhaps, before she gained awareness enough to realize where she was, or the predicament she had landed herself in.

She kissed just under her sister's jaw and moved back, drawing her enchanted dagger and laying it softly on the table. Spread underneath the artifacts an the pendant were sheets of paper and tomes, some written in demonic text and others in old drow tongue, though most seemed to have rough translations underneath them. She licked the tips of her fingers, flicking pages and moving tomes, voice low in incantations and studies. She felt the demonic and arcane energies circle within her pulse and she thrived on it in ecstasy, shivering with a pleasure her toys never achieved. Here eyes flicked back to the pendant and her right index finger tapped it lightly, sliding it so the light of the lamps caught its face with a shimmer. Her eyes drank its features and shape with interest as she felt the dark magic around her. Picking up the trinket she turned it over once and held it to the side, chain dangling off the table for the moment as she read a few lines of text. Her left hand glowed a sickly yellow as she passed it over the amulet, sending magical flares across the enchantments. Minor things that splashed across bound magic and activated any immediate reaction within the thick of the flare's weave.

Holding the pendant back before her she clucked, fingers gently parting the chain as she held it to her chest, and then much lower on her body as she thought of naughty things. Looking back at her sister she pursed her lips, trailing a finger over the pendant her hand wound up, until the thing rested in her palm, chain twined with her fingers. Standing up she rubbed the prize over her sister's face and flesh then arms, drawing out whimpers and shakes as her hand hoved over the girl's stomach.

"Shh.. Shh. No need to cry. Momma's here..." She laughed and brought up the pendant once more, getting the chain off her hand she swung her prize before the silver eyes that watched her from the shell of that body.

It was movement that finally drew Red up out of her stupor. It wasn't so much a physical sensation that she felt, but rather a sense of awareness to change. Her surroundings were no longer static. Tomes, papers, light, she was starting to paint a picture of her surroundings, though as the picture broadened to include the one that held her amulet, a deep chill settled over Red.

It was a sobering realization, the recognition of Brizriaa. Sobering enough that Red swam free of the fog that was settled over her mind and leaving her dazed and disoriented.

However, just as she was gaining her full senses, there was movement again, and a strange sensation of vertigo as Brizriia began to slowly swing the pendant from side to side.

Uncertainty, wariness and confusion took center stage in Red's consciousness. Drow were no laughing matter, even under the best of circumstances, but Brizriia was among the worst of the worst. To be caught in such a vulnerable position, at the mercy of the sadistic woman... it was an unnerving prospect, even for one as masochistic as Red.

The safest course of action would simply be to not reveal herself. To draw attention to her vulnerable state would only make the situation all the worse. If fortune smiled on her, Brizriia would think her nothing more than a mundane enchanted item. She could bide her time, there was no doubt of that. In times past, she had endured great spans of time within her amulet's confines.

True to form, not even an inkling of concern or sympathy crossed her mind for the woman that suffered at Brizriaa's hands. No, a simple rationalization was all the thought Red gave to her. Better her than me. Red had an astounding level of apathy towards the plight of others.

Brizriia jerked the chain and the pendant flew into her palm, fingers closing about it as she watched her sister's eyes follow it. a laugh broke loose and she kissed the woman on the cheek again, fingers kneading the pendant softly as she imagined other things in her hand. Mostly her toys. She drew back feeling refreshed and dropped the pendant, spinning it in a circle clockwise and catching it, then counter clockwise and catching it. Alternating intervals she twirled it as she drew up a tome, her tongue trembling as it crossed the thick runes of demonic watching the terror on her sister's face as she jerked and spasmed, knowing what came next. It was such a fun game as late. To forcefully alter this woman's body into a drider and transform it back into a drow right before her mind broke past her sanity. And so the game of wills continued, eyes locked on each other as she dragged her sister from one edge of her mind to the next and returning it. Pausing in sentences and syllables, watching the half-changed form quake with unstable energies. Oh the sensation of pain she must have felt!

Her hand jerked the pendant back into her hand, thumb holding it to palm as she caressed it over her fless, around her neck and chest before an idea came to her. Tossing the tome aside the magic left half finished she watched the slow decay of power force the half-drider form back into that of a drow. "Now darling... Momma has a gift for you." She touched a cheek and kissed a bare shoulder before slipping the pendant over the girl's head. "I don;t know what will happen... But you will help Momma in finding out." Her right hand pinched ebony skin until it seemed to go as white as ivory, "Oh. Yes. you. Will..."

As the amulet slipped over the woman's head, no outwardly discernible change would seem to occur, though the woman herself may have detected a vague sensation of warmth from it. For Red however, it opened a doorway. The amulet was designed to create a life-line between amulet, soul and body, allowing the transferring of energy and life-force from the soul housed within the amulet and her own.

It was a precarious relationship, though she had long since subdued the amulet and wrested control and turned what was once a symbiotic relationship, into one of domination and control. But just as she and the amulet had once vied for control of their bond, she too could tap into that aspect of the amulet and attempt to wrest control from the woman that now wore her.

It would be a temporary solution, as a complete transference of her soul would be required to maintain a permanent residence, but even a short term possession could potentially afford her an opening to escape this place.

But not now... she was too weak. It would take time to gather her strength for such a possession, even with the victim debilitated as she was. However, as she began to formulate complex thoughts and plans, the spike in consciousness and energy levels from the amulet would likely be discernible given Brizriia's close and active studying of the object.

Brizriia indeed noticed it. A small spell traced from doorway to the back of the room hung in the air. its purpose was meaningless in practical means but for studies such as her own it was crucial to feel out latent energies. A simple tied spell of amplification, drawing powers or sentient actions into almost a loud echo or pulse from their origin. She moved in, two fingers behind the pendant and thumb softly rubbing its face. Her left hand glowed sapphire as she drew into a pool of such volatile and thick mana. Her hand shivering for a moment as a wave of heat washed up her spin. She used her pointer finger to trace the chain and the real reward, sending in magic pulses across the pendant as she tried to magically pick the lock into the mind of what lay dormant within. A smile crossing her face as she hoped it was another demon of shade or dark creature for her to play with. Her pulses faint and subtle at first but growing stronger and more forceful with each unsuccessful pulse, her tongue paused between her lips as she waited.

The intrusion into her amulet was far from welcome, but the design of the amulet itself was to support and harbor transferences of energy, and so it would seem that the enchantments in place over it were designed to protect it from physical harm, rather than metaphysical exploration.

A flaw that the amulet's creator had overlooked perhaps.

Brizriia's brush upon Red's trapped soul wouldn't draw up words, as Red was not speaking to her, but it would draw upon her state of mind, and her perspective. The drow would see brief and disorienting flashes at first, as the amulet tried to form a bridge between Brizriia and itself, to better rejuvenate itself off the magic the drow was utilizing on it. Strange feelings of seeing herself from an outsiders perspective would be the primary sensation, the stab of anxiety and unease would come second though.

The longer Brizriia forced her way into the amulet, the stronger the link would grow. The amulet had never bonded with another before, as her soul and that which the amulet houses were so thoroughly entwined, but it was almost as if Brizriia's tampering risked forming a similar bond with herself and the drow. A frightening prospect to be reduced to a battery, as she had done to the dormant soul.

In a moment of self-preservation, Red sought to form a bond elsewhere. Fear and desperation were powerful forces and with them, Red sent her consciousness shuttling out from the amulet and into the bound drow, away from Brizriia's tampering and intrusions.

The effect was immediate and the drow's head snapped back, her eyes rolling wildly as she struggled against her bonds with strength her body should not have contained. It was a battle of wills, and of inner strength, trying to wrest control of the body. Both of them were very weakened at the moment though, and it was hard to say who would come out the victor.

Brizriia had caught traces of the soul in the amulet but not enough to tell what it was before it seemed to flee. her eyes snapped to the sudden seizure in her sister and she smiled, her tongue slithering over her lips anew. Some of the energy she gleaned from the pendant was far stronger than she assumed a bound magical network to have but she marveled it. With the sudden departure her search felt a bit more... vacant, as one way to put it and she grew curious. Hands gently wrapping about the chain she moved to pull the artifact off from her sister, to see if the being was in fact now locked in some struggle within her sister, fighting to inhabit a new home while abandoning the last.

Brizriia's attempt to retrieve the amulet would be met with a sudden fluctuation of magic, a simple pulse of fire and mana to force her back from it. The pulse was powerful but briefly maintained, and would do little more than lightly sear whatever it managed to contact before flickering out.

However, simultaneously to the brief nova burst, the head of Brizriia's sister lulled forward and hung limp with exhaustion.

Her lips were dry and cracked and her throat hoarse from the torture Brizriia had inflicted upon her, but even still she managed a low chortling chuckle.

“Hello, love,” she managed to rasp.

Her hold over the host body was tenuous though. The time available to her to make something of this situation would be limited at best, even if Brizriia didn't make another attempt to remove the amulet.

Brizriia's hand s snapped back as a barrier popped between her and the threat by reflex. The nature of her magic always defensive. Bending down to examine the trinket she ignored the voice of her sister for a moment to regard it. From what residual magic was left from her probe the entitiy from within it was stil missing. Which meant...

Her eyes snapped up into the eyes of what probably wasn't her sister and a grin of unnaturally white teeth greeted the ebony skinned woman. Her hands wrapped behind her prisoner's head as she forced it intoa deep kiss, tongue forcing along the other's teeth and lips beofre slipping back within her own mouth. "Oh, delicious..." She nibbled her left finger, feeling her lips tingle from the mana that could otherwise rot and decay flesh and bone.

Had her physical state been less of an issue, and the painful cracking of her lips and throat not been weighting over her, Red may have taken more enjoyment from the situation. Never let it be said that Red was the most mentally stable of individuals.

Even still though, Brizriia's actions stirred a flicker of a fire long lost from Red. It wasn't attraction. No it was simply raw lust. Not for Brizriia, but rather, for the situation in itself. Danger, fear, pain, it all came together to make her feel so very much... alive.

Having long suffered in a state of ennui, Brizriia gave her something back that she had thought long lost. The ability to truly feel, even if that feeling was the race of her heart and the sharp stab of fear in her gut. Behind that fear was an intensity in her eyes that had been absent in their earlier meeting in the bar. A strength and an ardent fire.

As Brizriia slipped back from her, Red licked her lips briefly, both to try and sooth the painfully cracked skin as well as to taste the lingering traces of Brizriia's own lips. Speaking again, her voice was little more than a raspy whisper, “If you were into the kinky stuff, all you had to do was ask.”

Making light of the situation may not have been the smoothest course of action, but it was Red's usual approach to stressful and/or volatile situations. As she spoke though, she was investigating the nature of her bindings, though not with complete disregard for Brizriia. She well remembered what Brizriia could do with those hands... having suffered their effects once already.

She watched this thing that was not her sister. Interest flaring as she moved a hand, fingers cradling the abused chin of the woman. Whatever it was in there it recognized her, and that tone was almost familiar though she couldn't quite identify the feeling. She raised her left hand, the raw mana gone as she ran the fingers under the being's chin and over her neck. The mana was visibly gone but even under her skin it pulsed and writhed like a warm and living entity. Here eyes locked with those silver ones of the being, slipping closer as her left hand traveled over stomach and eventually between her legs. Breathing for a moment as she held the smirk, face impassive and slightly bored before her hand drew away, patting the cheek. letting it feel the warmth that was not from her magic this time and walking back.

"It seems I found something that knows me. I guess I should feel good that another being knows me... But I can't identify you." her light voice turned as hard as slate as all crimson was lost from her eyes. Indeed the eyes gazing at the woman looked more like the cold and heartless eyes of a spider than a living creature. "I will have a name." She stated it as a fact, her mana springing to life over her hand, as crimson as the blood it had spilled in the bar that same day, hand hovering ever closer to the face of the other.

Red's examination of her situation turned up little, save for the observation that Brizriia didn't do shoddy bindings. She briefly tested the physical strength of the magical bindings, but her body just didn't have the energy to support her actions and she quickly abandoned that approach.

“A name?” she asked, her eyes darting from side to side as Brizriia drew closer with that menacing hand.

It was a reflexive anxiety triggered by the realization of impending pain, but it was one that she could escape, should she choose to. But no, something kept her there, anchored in her host's body, taxing her strength for every minute she maintained the possession.

Licking her lips once again, she met Brizriia's eyes, stilling the nervous movements of her body. “What is a name, but what others call us?” she inquired. She had so many over the years, they mattered little to her anymore. She had long since forgotten her birth name.

Red managed a chortled laugh at Brizriia's remark, though it held a sobering note to her regardless. Mulling the situation over in her head, she found herself faced with an unfortunate dilemma. Revealing who she was would likely result in the sociopathic drow simply killing her once more. After all, she had done so once already. What was to change it this time?

What kept her intact right now was Brizriia's intrigue and curiosity towards her, and that wasn't likely to last for long. No, she needed something more substantial to buy time to escape her predicament. Brizriia didn't seem the sort to settle for losing, and a blatant challenge could well buy her a good deal of time. That is, as much time as she could endure at the drow's hands. Of course, she could be misjudging the drow, and provoking her would simply result in a messy demise, again. Fortunately, Red was a gambling soul.

As her laughter died off into a dull sputtering wheeze, Red's reply came. “You can call me whatever you like, but the day I call you that will never grace your presence.”

The drow regarded the entity inhabiting her sister. Those silver eyes that didn't poses the same fear and a body left at the point of breaking from physical and mental exhaustion. She paused to reflect such a bold answer before stepping close, her right hand smacking across the thing's face. hard, but also physical without any of her problematic mana to mar the face further. "I enjoy a fight in a slave. Makes them struggle a bit more when it comes to my pleasure evenings."

She drew closer her left hand moving the caress the woman's bound shoulder and arm as the mana would trace along her exposed flesh for a few moments. The effects varied on the physical body but she knew it wouldn't be pleasant in any instance save for maybe a demon. "Such beautiful ebony skin and a body fit for a society best to represent their goddess. I give this all to you for free yet you won't give me a name? I wonder..."

As she spoke she drew away tracing back to her table and snatching up the tome of demonic texts she had used moments before placing the pendant over her sister's head.

"What do you think would happen if I begin reading these texts once more as you are trapped in there? Would you flee back into the pendant, ditching my generosity for some magical fail safe?" She put her finger tot he texts and read out the first word, the start to the enchantment but harmless by itself, though she didn't have to tell the other one this fact. "How long would you be safe?" She drew one long, wicked smile as she locked eyes with the woman.

Red took the slap in stride, though the sting of it kept her face turned away as she tried to maintain control over this host body.

It was the brief contact of Brizriia's fingers upon her arm that brought her eyes back around with a hiss of pain. However, she met Brizriia's gaze boldly, even as the drow's fingers slid across her skin. The mana seemed to spark through her nerve endings, causing not just localized discomfort, but shooting pain that spread down the length of her arm under the administrations of Brizriia's touch.

By the time Brizriia turned away and returned to her table however, a thin sheen of sweat was blossoming across Red's forehead. And not from Brizriia's actions. Her time was limited, and she best make the best of it while she could. A name she could do, and it was unlikely the drow would recognize it regardless.

“Red. Red was the name I last knew,” she said. Her wording was odd, but truth be told, in her long history, never had she actually chosen a name for herself. What was a name but a label that others knew you by. Even one's birth name was granted by ones parents and in the end, what did she care what people chose to call her.

Briz's left eye twitched at the name but kept her face impassive. Her hand slowly slipped over the cover of the demonic tome and slipped it shut, eyes crossing over the useless flesh once owned by her sister. "Red? What a strange and bland name." She drew up and paused, tilting her head a bit to make an exaggerated tap of her pointer finger on her chin. "Though I do remember one other Red... A certain bitch that was with a man named Drakus." She flicker her eyes at the other and let the red glow flare before fading. "The same Red I remember killing not to long ago when i found her alone in the bar..." She paused, letting the last word hang in the air as she watched the other.

"Surely you aren't mistaken? I would hate to ruin such a perfectly good body so soon..."

Well, that hadn't gone well. But Red took it in stride.

“Coincidence I'm sure,” she stated in a smooth and blatant lie. Though the tone in which she spoke, left little question that Red had no intention of Brizriia believing the words that came from her mouth.

“If the name brings such unpleasant memories, perhaps you would prefer another?” she asked with a coy twitch of her lips.

But it was strained to say the least. One look at her easily revealed that she was clearly in some sort of physical distress. The body could not house two souls for long, and as long as that of Brizriia's sister remained, the body ultimately would seek to retain it's proper inhabitant.

Though i don't want to be rid of you yet... Ah, I have it. Until you think of a more fitting name for that drow body, I might go fetch a nice wolf or other mindless beast whose body you can inhabit." The returned soul reacting to the inflicted pains it had missed when the body was not its own. Briz carefully removed the pendant from her sibling;s head and swung it once more, watching it and then the ebony form in front of her.

"Oh my days have just gotten a bit more delicious."
