The back of the casino exploded into flames, and suddenly priorities were shifted considerably. Xas shoved the pistol back into its holster under his jacket, and pointed at Char to let him know this wasn't over, just postponed. He shouted at the guards who still seemed intent on taking out the ball of mist that Jeremy had tried to hold with whatever powers he had.
"Are you blind?! Get the civilians out of here!" He jabbed a finger at Marat,"And you! Get a forcefield around that fire! See if you can smother it a little! Everyone else, make sure that no one is left in the back area where that explosion went off!"
Xas then took off himself, holding up a hand as a silvery spell circle opened up in front of it, allowing him to step though the forcefield that had blocked off the fight. He then shouted to the panicking casino patrons, relying on the translating spell contained in his dogtags, and organized them to evacuate. He didn't see Tawny anywhere, and wondered for a moment where the girl and her owl had gone, and what she had to do with all this.
Isis was busy gambling and debating what to do about her client not showing up to pay attention to anything else. But, in this case, that was probably for the best because once a Siren got mixed up in the drama, it could take a very terrible turn. So, she kept herself focused on the task at hand; winning money. Luck seemed to be at her time at the moment because she was able to make a great deal of cash without barely spending anything. Boredom was soon setting in however, and it wasn’t long before Isis was up and about, wandering around the casino. There still seemed to be something happening back near the elevators, but the casino staff were quite good at making sure their patrons weren’t really affected by it.
“Wonder how Xas is doing…”
Just about to push past some of the casino security guards in order to get back to where the real action was, Isis was caught off guard by a booming sound followed by slight shaking and what appeared to be smoke coming from the back part of the building. Straining her neck a little, she was certainly glad for her excellent vision and couldn’t help but gape at the sight of part of the back near what she assumed to be the kitchen and maybe storage being quarantined off. Parts of it seemed to be damaged, but no one was really saying how bad the damage was. She could see bellows of smoke and fire as well as parts of the outside through gaping holes in the infrastructure. Luckily people really hadn’t noticed as most seemed to assume there were shows or something in the back and that was what caused the noise. Those that did notice began to panic, but were quickly reassured by the staff that everything was taken care of.
“Hnn…”
Shoving past the guard, she entered the other part of the building and immediately started to look around for Xas. She wasn’t sure what else was going to happen, but seeking him out seemed to be the best bet. It didn't take her long to spot him and she made her way towards him, blinking at him.
"Tsup...?"
With that he turned on his heel and left the casino, heading off to leave the planet.
When he exited he saw a man trying to get onto his speeder and sprinted up to him. "Military Business I need to borrow this!" He said shoving the man gently aside hoping onto the bike and racing off towards the space port.
"Well, that was a major bust... Now where? Being nomadic right now really is an inconvenience...."
The crimson Mandalorian fired a controlled burst from his rocketpack to move rapidly in a lateral fashion across the ground toward the front door, where he immediately left that den of sorcery never again to return.
And the first place he managed to find on his travels were a casino, pub and bar place. They had the equivalent on Etrippe and Iiines, but of course only men were allowed inside. It would be interesting to see what the culture here was like. Apparently men and women were of equal standing. That was a flaw in this races hierarchy. Men stood above all. Men were dominant. Men were strong. Men were thinkers. Their women were just their mates and cleaners.
With those thoughts, Aci moved to Tarosi and opened the doors, entering to see what he would find inside this new strange land he was on.
Aci would find a menu that supported nearly every diet of every species (It is unknown if there are still species out there they don't know, but Aci's existence proved that possible, so they just try to make it as wide as possible). There was entertainment, games, socializing, a ballroom, and many other things to do. Jeremy had quickly replaced everything the nanites could not rebuild (they could only rebuild the main structure and what not, not the plates and chairs or anything small and movable, because it wasn't built into the floor plan).
Jeremy himself had upped the security since the attack, so there was no way it could happen again, or at least as easily. He also added "Bombing Issurance", because that is actually offered, though rarely ever used according to the records (and the fact you don't typically hear of an explosion on the planet).
Jeremy, seeing, Aci, went over to greet him. "Welcome to Tarosi's. Do you need help with anything?"
Someone soon approached him and his frown deepened. "Why aren't the women here working at home cleaning, cooking and looking after children? Wouldn't it be more beneficial to have them working for the men all the time so that the men could go out and work?" He frowned.
He didn't understand this system at all.
Jeremy figured he would understand at least one of those reasons. He explained it with multiple motives and perspectives. He also watched the news. "I am just going to take a guess that you are the one who crashed the ship. Welcome to Tarosi's, my name is Jeremy Tarosi, manager whenever my father isn't here. And don't let my age fool you. I have a few years of experience, and I am very independent due to..." Jeremy stopped for a moment, flinching. He was about to say due to his mother's untimely death, but the note seemed too sour. So instead, he said "...due to personal reasons, and the fact my dad can get very busy. It's okay though, I understand how hard it can be for him".
Jeremy truly did understand. And his dad was always with him on the days he needed him, like The Day of Rejoice, which was kind of like Pandorian Christmas. It's when everyone is thankful for being alive, and for others, so they give gifts and there is a ceremonial song, though you are allowed by tradition to just hum it if you are a bad singer.
"My mate is in my apartment looking after the children, cooking and cleaning and that is all she will do here. I am looking to work as a soldier. Where will I find work like that here? Or if there is no work as a soldier where can I go to get my ship fixed and where can I go so that I can get work after that. I am a soldier and that is the job that I want to do. I will accept nothing that is a woman's job and I will not do anything that is less of me."
He looked around. "Now, I would like a drink first before I go to work."
Jeremy had Maraat bring him over a drink, purified in a way so it is drinkable by nearly any species. "Well, I guess it depends on how good of a soldier you are. There is this group here, called The Taskforce. They accept the best of the best, and they are one of the most active Military Grouos in the Pandorian Alliance. They handle high priority investigations that they can only trust to people that are capable of investigating and have elite soldier training. Anything less and they are considered a liability to the team. Along with high level investigations, they protect VIPs, perform Special Ops, and in times of war, Specialized Military Ops. If that isn't for you, or if you don't qualify, there is the Pandorian Alliance military, that consists of several branches. Marines, Skyforce, Planatary Defense, Special Operations, Covert Affairs. You would probably be called off world for any of those bit Planatary Defense. Also, ever since the terrorist attack, there has been an increase in crime due to a shortage of officers. You could apply to be a part of the Antongrad Police, because the escalating crime rate makes it like a war zone, while still staying planet side".
Jeremy then brought over a menu. "Would you like anything else? Or do you need to know anything else?"
While he concealed it, Jeremy was slightly irritated by his slip of the tongue. The crime rate was going to escalate yes, but it hadn't yet. Jeremy knew a lot more then he should, even for a psychic. He was an unspoken center of social activity on Antongrad, and he didn't want to upset the status quo just yet.
"I will also join this Taskforce and help defend this place so that my children are safe." He had come to the conclusion that it would all be that simple for him and that he could call the shots because of how his home planet was. He was probably in for a nasty shock eventually.
"Tell me where I need to go to arrange everything and that will be all." Aci told Jeremy.
"The Taskforce set up an Ops Room in the police tower I believe. You can probably meet with one of them there. They only accept the best. I don't know who leads them, that is apparently classified, but I hear he is one dangerous badass...".
He brought up a holomap of the city. "That tower there is the school, and that big one is the police HQ. if you need anything else, you know where to find me o you could just ask now".
