Setting

In fact, getting a commercial beer here is quite the chore, though if you ask for the most sophisticated brew you could think of they might carry it. On tap, they only have one beer. It happens to be an archaic import from some southern mountain range called Drakkus , very dark and very hoppy. In contrast, the most popular wine is Blud, a red wine infused with biorganics procured specifically for Vampires. Another Terran Favorite is Gruul, hailing from Gruul Wineries from the far away continent of Therrier-Paix.
Tauvyr Tavern is also a popular place for liquor enthusiasts. The establishment offers a delectable selection of tapas and finger foods. This is the hub of adult life in Verinotte Hollow, and holds Karaoke every full moon.
It sought after their fears.
But wait...there was one thing. A memory of a girl without control, and the fear of losing it again held onto that memory like a vise. She couldn't risk losing control. She couldn't.
At the same time, the psychic focused his presence upon Selmaina. He focused on that one fear. Like a patient fisherman, he lowered his lure deeper into her subconscious.
What will make you break...
"Would you like to try a new import?"
Behind the faraway look in her lupine-yellow eyes, she could still see it. She'd been too weak to stop herself, too weak even to pull away from the deepest of her instincts. What could she have possibly done? It wasn't her fault, it was her nature. But if it wasn't her fault, then why did she feel so guilty?
Triumphant, Daemala selected a pristine crystal glass from the back counter and sauntered over to M. Dietrich. She placed the glass on the table, swiftly uncorked the bottle, and poured a sampling amount.
Daemala waited for the tasting to leave the bottle behind.
The trench-coated man turned to the waitress and gave her a nod. "My thanks, madam." he said in a dark yet intelligent voice. With a flick of his gloved hand, one of the bottles lifted into the air. A pop erupted from the container as the cork exploded across the room. The glass slid beneath the bottle and the wine poured into it.
Gently, she lowered the cork to the counter.
Alright. Add "Hire Bouncer" to list of things to do.
Her fingernails drove into the table, sizable chunks of wood dislodging into her palms as she strove to keep her voice calm. Though despite her efforts, the inhumanly beautiful sound was laced with strain and rage. "I don't think probing around in my head is any of your business, sir." The last word was spat through her teeth, almost as though she was trying to refrain from using an insult.
"I suspect you would like this chilled?" She was prepared to remove the bottle and cap the bucket, need be. As for salmon, Daemala smiled again. "Yes, would you enjoy some lox snacks?" She then turned to the newcomer.
"May I help you, Sir?" Quickly, she recognized her fellow brethren, "Ix! It's been so long. How may I help you?"
Thump.
You can never escape darkness, it flocks to you always.
Thump.
You hunger. You must feed. You must hunt. Kill. Rend. Mutilate!
Crash!
You are tainted. The stain shall never wash out. The sun will never shine upon you again. Tainted... Broken... Little toy...
A growl.
Whipping to face the dark force man, she projected her own dark energy forth. Using suppression, sending a calming wave around the rest of the bar, Daemala stared deep into his eyes.
"Take the fire outside or extinguish it where it dares to sprout," She projected, her eyes darkening. Four soldiers who had been previously hidden in the shadows made themselves present by stepping once forth. Certain they could handle the problem, she disappeared to get the snacks, but not before saying, "You have been warned."
"You're hired. Immediately. Come."
"There's blood-laced wine here. Bring it to me if you can." Her words were tight, infused with all the tension of a tightrope strung between two skyscrapers. She looked down at her fist, one eyebrow raising when she saw the solid dent she'd put into the table. "Now." [/i]
"Are you thinking of your loved ones now? How you will never see them again? Uou have done such hurtful things. The people you know shall rejoice in your death."
As the soldiers entered the tavern, Selmaina would see them with scornful faces filled with malice and treachery. "They ahve turned against you... now, take your revenge. Kill them all, BEFORE THEY KILL YOU!"
She arced towards him gracefully, like an eel shooting through water, but so fast that by the time one could track her movement, his head was already separated from his body and dangling from her blood-soaked hands. Snarling like a caged animal, she threw the bloodied piece of human into the nearest corner and smiled at the remaining guards. She brought a finger to her lips, her tongue snaking out to lick the blood from it. "Which one of you is next?" Oh this. She'd missed this. She'd missed the fear in their eyes, the terror at her strength. Ohh yes, she'd missed this.
