Setting
It seemed that his fiancee had come here, to the palace. To think that she would ever come here of her own volition was rather amazing, at least to the Emperor, and to amaze him was something of a feat. Oh, he had watched her progress for some time, the liege-lord still having some stealth about him, and only recently had he approached within any distance, still hesitating to make contact. There was no reason to as of yet.
Perhaps one would present itself.
"Let's see. Isn't it keeping your hand on the left wall, to find your way out? Or does that only apply if you do it from the very beginning?" she questioned aloud. Hard to say. Truth is, she had no clue. That had been many years ago, after all. "Oh bother. This place is entirely too big."
For once in his life he didn't lie, and with curious eyes did the man look to her, uniformed but not as gaudy as their last encounter. He preferred a much more spartan attire in his own home. Less trouble to assemble the ensemble.
Linde hurried over and smiled shyly. "I'm so happy to see you, Josef. Your palace is so large, I was afraid I might never be found." Or find her way out. The woman had no sense of direction at all, and that much was perfectly clear.
Well. It was possible, Josef imagining that the stink of a rotting body would take a good deal of time to wash out. "... but you're found now. Anywhere I can show you to?"
The library wasn't that far away, though to be sure Kampf was more concerned with the woman before him.
"I'm afraid I've long finished the book you gifted me with." Thrice over. It had been excellent.
In a flash did they part to reveal the vast number of tomes before them, nearly all of them hailing from times long before the woman's birth. Such a sight even excited him a degree, as he was sure there was some musty book here or there that even he hadn't the time to read yet. "Feel free to explore." The whisper floated across the air between them as he looked to the assortment, though his eyes finally rested on the young woman. A fine empress, to be sure.
The woman browsed slowly, finger hovering just above the binding of the books as she mouthed the different title, uncertain where to start, where to begin!
Oh her Josef had brought her to such a bounty.
Specifically the entertainment, and if he recalled correctly she was on-world.
"Linde." The name came from his lips with a tone begging attention, possessing authority, "If we might speak for a moment? It's in regards to our wedding." With this his hands found themselves behind his back, clasping each other as he looked to the smaller figure of his fiancee. "I've gotten something for you."
"What is it?" She asked curious now, not seeing any gift. Then again, she hadn't even informed him she was coming, so how could have have prepared one here? Ah yes. He was a god as well as a man. Her sweet Josef.
Though he couldn't help but feel that there was some underlying agenda to it all with her.
"For our wedding I've arranged a deal of entertainment." He allowed the words to linger for a moment before he announced just what he'd procured. "The diva Devika will perform for us, if that isn't against your wishes."
Taking advantage of the situation, Josef used to opportunity to kiss the woman again, this time drawing out the act more than the last. "I'm happy," he mused, drawing back, "that it is to your liking."
"My Lord. I'm afraid that was...terribly improper of me. I suppose I ought to confess...though I suppose you already know." Her voice was low, inadvertently sexual, though she hardly knew it. Poor Linde was in over her head.
