The Multiverse

Setting

A loud and busy place, Vishni Spaceport constantly has all manner of craft exiting and entering its manifold facilities. Equipped to accommodate all manner of starships, from frigates to supercarriers and even those bordering a bit on the arcane, it sits directly above the Trans-Antograd Metrorail on a sprawling man-made island. It is also fairly well-guarded, as if the planetary security above and beyond its direct proximity wasn't sufficient, although its star gate remains a location of constant high alert. After that installation, which followed its annexation by the Pandorian Alliance, security measures naturally increased.

Mor allowed the soft delicate flavor to pronounce his own mood as he slowly stood from his seat and left a rather reasonable tip for simply ordering a beverage. The Sith Lord was rather unknown in this part of space so simply moving about in fine clothes was something of a privilege, and one he could not pass up.

With a few steps ahead of his intended target the Emperor simply placed his hands within his pockets only to confront the young man. The Sith looked the poor boy up and down only to offer a wicked smile that told a story all of its own but without the usual boring bits and bobbles one would expect.

"You know doing that kind of trick was a bit risky." Mor spoke only to wave off the accusation he was pinning on the young man. "I am sure that such skill could be placed elsewhere and with more finesse." His final words seemed to ebb with power far beyond that of most within this section of space.

Jora did not trust the man that aproached as he got up and dusted himself off. Then again, Jora did not trust many people. He could count them on one hand. And even then, some of them had secret snooper programs on their computers.

Jora could feel the power in his words, but his waryness allowed him to not fall under their power. "And who might you be, to imply that I have done anything" Jora replied, the hint of defiance in his words. The nineteen year old looked fifthteen, but he was already eyeing escape routes. This was a habit of Jora's whenever he felt threatened. Or met someone new. Or felt like he was being hunted. Or saw a bounty hunter. Or many other things.

"Mayhaps, but I prefer to do things my own way" Jora told him. "Not a big fan of rules and restrictions". Currently, Jora was semi percent sure that this guy was a Jedi. Jora was not a fan of the order, he found them too restricting, just like he felt the Sith too murderous and controlling.

Mor simply smiled as the young man tried to defend himself from the Sith Lord. The Emperor gave a slight wave of his hand to allow the item in question to tug slightly from the young man's grip but not enough to pull it clean from its resting place.

"Oh, you are playing the innocent card, I don't blame you. Really I don't" Mor spoke as he took a few more steps forward towards his young target."You know there are many like you who play againt the runs ls=kr

He felt the tug, but he pretended to ignore it. He did not want to play all his cards, especially if this guy was a Jedi.

"Listen, I don't know what game your playing, but if you are trying to say something, just say it" Jora pointed out. "But for the record, I am innocent. After all, any crime needs to be reported". Jora was starting to suspect this guy might actually be a Sith, which could be worse. The Jedi at least would not murder him on the street when he said no.

"And there are players everywhere. The trick is to not give away your hand before seeing the hands of hte other players at your table" he mentioned. It was part of something his mom used to say. Only not just the hands of the other players at your table, but the hands of the players at the table you would play at next as well. People hide their tells from the other players at their table, not the one next to them.

That trick once won him a starship he needed to escape some bounty hunters.

Smart boy. Mor simply smiled and continued to walk towards the boy until they were only in arms reach from one another. The game was a rather simple one and always what he expected of others when answer what he most desired to hear.

"You choose a more direct path to freedom. I care not for your innocence so lets be clear on that little bit shall we." Mor began to chuckle slightly as the stolen ships ignition code came to his hand finally without any interruptions. "What I do care about is the very ebb and flow of power that keeps our realms safe my boy." That devious smile suddenly grew cold and dark as Mor began to walk around the young man now as if getting a better view of what he was witnessing. "You speak of tricks of our little game we play but I assure you this is no hand of cards and you will not find it so easy to rinse your hands of this gamble."

The spaceport seemed to silence itself as all things slowly came to a stop as if time itself wanted nothing to do with this meeting between the two force users.

"Tell me something." Mor continued to speak as he moved the bench out of his way with his hand. "Can we agree that our freedom is beneficial to both parties? I am sure there are plenty of places a young mind such as yourself wishes to explore and develop. If not for the sake of your freedom then to stave off the ever growing boredom that eats away at you from the inside out." The Sith's dark expression remained as he had his back now to the young man.

"You have skill, boy, and I suggest you do something to improve upon it. Otherwise the next time you have an encounter such as this then it may be your last."

Jora was not quite sure how to react at first. So he did something spontainous instead. He took an apple from someone passing by. "Wow, most people just try to sell the company line" he mentioned as he took a bite. The whole time thing was new, but also likely a show of power. Jora's had a slight smile for a split second. Not for the show of power, but for the challenge. This was no normal Sith. Or maybe he was a Jedi. But no, Jora was betting on Sith now.

First of all, he had to expect this man was not here alone. Which meant, he should expect at least ten gunmen at this point. Probably more. And a Sith assassin or two. Maybe even three, but that was pushing it. So it was time to give the right answers, for both Jora and this man.

"I will tell you this. Freedom is as important as responsibility. Restrictions deny both Freedom and Responsibility. Therefore, restrictions are bad, but so is making sure you can take responsibility for what results of your actions. FOr instance, if someone was to steal a ship from a really bad criminal, it would be highly unlikely any legal charges would be filed. And if you were here for money or coincidentally, this conversation would not be happening most likely".

Jora smiled. "Is that a threat? I must admit, you do seem dangerous. But you forgot one thing. Everything is a game and a puzzle combined. THe whole world is like that, full of beauty and life, but also betrayal and selfishness. Tell me, can you trust of your guard? What if any of them was owned by one of your enemies? What if one of them was a relative of someone you murdered?"

"And for the record, there is more then two choices in this world" he noted, the apple core in his hand. If everything went bad, at least he had that apple core. He saw three uses for it, other then having been a good snack.

It had happened so many times that Arbeth stopped expecting it and naturally kept a loose grip on the apple he carried. When it was gone from his hand he also turned and saw, as was always the case, Jora who stole his Apple. It wasn't that Jora was predictable, but that this spontaneous action was what Jora performed from the first universe lifetime that Armeth had lived through. Strangely, when Arneth carried a different fruit the scene was always different. Sometimes Jora wasn't there and the whole incident had never happened in the space port. Once he carried a Garajn fruit and the space port was in an entirely different location. This was but one of the many mysteries that Arneth experienced along his endless wandering. He had chosen an apple this time because he had missed Jora when he carried a banana and Jora wasn't at the space port at all.

Arneth turned back to Jora and said, "Jora! It's been a long time! Have you figured out if he's sith or Jedi yet?"

Arneth smiled as he approached Jora and stood next to him.

Mor could only smile at the wit the boy offered. It was a rare occasion to be able to forcefully remove the will of another just to replace it with your own for the first time and with so little.....little.....something was clearly off. Mor turned his attention to the one other mortal soul within the establishment that seemed to move against a will not of their own only to feel offended.

"A friend of yours I take it." Mor commented as he turned away from the young man who he had originally intended to confront only to now have his full attention on the newcomer. It was a mistake that needed to be corrected as it was not on the path that was foreseen nor was it something that needed to be present.

"Regardless of who this new one may be I think we need to redact it from this frayed encounter." The Force seemed to swell to a crescendo around the Sith Emperor allowing it to be seen as a physical representation of his own control of his skills. Lightning crackled over his visage for a moment only to pass as the Sith offered a warm smile that was utterly false for what actions were about to come.

"You know, maybe people would like you more if you did not resort to violence every time you wanted to eliminate a problem" Jora noted, focusing his own force abilities. If tDarth Mor was sensitive enough, he might notice the ever growing charge of force building up inside of Jora. The fact he could do this, without any formal training, was fairly remarkable.

Suddenly, certain Force sensitives in the area may find their abilities disrupted. They would certainly notice something, as it felt like all the Force in the area was disrupted. This was an ability Jora had learned and taught himself, having been pursued by both Sith and Jedi. He could disrupt the Force in the immediate area, including such an ability that Darth Mor was using right now.

As he did this, he dropped the apple core right in front of someone. When they would unfreeze, he would trip and slip, colliding into a black arms dealer smuggling some weapons. One or two of them might go off, but it would definitely cause a panic. People would panic and fall into each other, which would provide a nessisary distraction for escape. Not just a distraction, but also a good blockade. Jora was very good at slipping through crowds.

So now, he was ready at a moments notice. He did not like to stick around when people started to wave around threats.

What an interesting little trick, one that Mor would remember, and it was with the chaos that he lost the young force adept. "You can run but I will always find you boy!" The Emperor called out as he himself stepped back into the mess and vanished from the spaceport.

Vlad walked towards the progressively empty spaceport. A grandiose monument to this people's technological race with whomever rivaled them. It reminded Vlad of days when such things mattered to him, it almost made him feel nostalgia. "For such an expansive place we sure are lacking citizens" he said walking next to Dmitri

"No." said Dmitri solemnly, "Shadows are here, I can almost see them. We're the ones who aren't quite here. Some shadows are more powerful than the others but they were here much longer ago." Dmitri cast his eyes about the spaceport, he knew he felt people or at least beings of some sort but they had no hope of interacting with these denizens.

Vlad chuckled and scanned the board for the various destinations they could potentially disembark to. In a split second reality was torn open as another gate, similar to the one they had jumped through opened in the center of the spaceport. A large three horned skeletal beast charged out of the gate almost instantly towards Dmitri while large imp looking creatures poured out of the portal behind it and began blowing fire around the spaceport.
