Nikole Crook began to tremble, her body shaking violently. She opened her eyes, and it could be clearly seen that they were fool of hunger. She looked down at her daughter, and inched her teeth closer. But, before she could do something she would regret, she saw the young girls cute, sleeping face. She almost immediately stopped trembling, and her fangs shrank back to normal teeth, as well as her eyes returning to normal. She slowly stood up, and wiped a tear from her eye. "When I said....I would keep her safe.....I meant it..." she said, in a cold voice, almost as if daring someone to try and hurt Arielle.
