Riley took the time to put his weapon down, but before it was touching the cold ground Iso was teleporting away. The soldier sprinted towards she and Godrage once were, trying to get at least one of them to take to the law to answer for their crimes.

He was a little too slow, they seemed to be gone. That meant they'd be free to strike again whenever Jacob had to be moved for trial or sentencting.

"Damn it..." He muttered, "Veritas, I need pickup, I'm not sure where I am. My tracker is on." He said aloud, "No hostiles in the area."

Dennis looked around a bit, hoping for some dumb luck that would drop a clue pointing towards who attacked the convoy into his lap. There was nothing for now.

The rest of the agents on the street began to disappear one by one, not out of thin air, but way of smoke grenades and smart maneuvering. The ones that weren't dead or wounded, anyway. Those that looked like they would survive their inuries were dragged off with the rest of them.

Iso and Godrage appeared quite a ways down the highway, near to Wing City. When the woman came into view, she turned the watch on her wrist, and her form blurred and twisted. She went from an assassin in armor with a cowl to a normal civilian with very short red hair, wearing jean shorts and a fitting grey T-shirt. Unassuming as it got. There were hundreds, even thousands of redheads in the city. They wouldn't find her easily.

Godrage, on the other hand...

"You'll need to find a way to look less suspicious or find cover, Godrage. If Iso uses another long-range port so soon, you'll both be in danger," said that male voice again over their communicators.

"The mission was botched from the start," he mumbled, the sniper rifle strapped around his shoulder hissing as the pieces moved apart, then folded into a neat, compact rectangle.

"It was a bold idea, but it didn't work. All that happened was we gave ourselves away, and now the tactic won't work again. I wouldn't be surprised if they find a way to counter your teleportation ability and implement it within the hour."

He immediately unzipped the combat suit he had been wearing, dropping it around the ankles a pair of jeans belonging to the civilian clothes he had worn underneath. The entire mission he had been stuffy and warm, but for a quick change of clothes he would put up with that.

He immediately began to stash the suit into a blue rucksack, then tossed it away down an incline that led to a rail track. He did the same to the compact rifle, though not before fitting it with a small magnet so the next train that came along carried it for a ride.

"I suppose that this is goodbye."

Iso looked toward Godrage with a frown. The mission had failed, sure, but there was also a chance that next time they would succeed. They did not understand the full capabilities of her teleportation abilities. Not even she did. Such a short battle would reveal little, surely.

"Now, now, don't be so pessimistic, Godrage. This wasn't a loss. This was a warning. We haven't retrieved the target, but they have to drive him back sometime. We'll just have to be more careful next time. Somewhere other than the highway might be a better bet next time. We need a place where we can use more civilians for cover."

Iso stopped as the voice spoke, her frown deepening. She tried to exchange glances with Godrage, as if to say "Did you just hear what he said, too?"

"Using civilians for cover does nothing but make the job of any operative you put on that assignment more difficult. If you do it, go quickly and quietly. Unless you want to start a war, which you practically did today, I would say."

The assassin zipped up his jacket up to his chin and brushed some of the hair out of his face, which held features of Asian origin. Anglo-Chinese, to be specific.

"I think it's time we went our separate ways for a while. We'll be less obvious, that way."

"We didn't start a war. We started a skirmish. Tell me, how long has it been since you first came to Terra?" The tone was sarcastic.

Iso picked between her fingers uncomfortably. For a supposed deadly killer, she seemed little more than a young nervous girl. Especially in civilian clothing. She nodded to Godrage, then, with an attempt at a smile, she gave him a wave.

"We'll contact you again, Godrage. Trust us on that one," the man's voice said on the communicator. "Don't die before then."

The connection cut.

With one final glance, Iso let out a sigh and began to, very awkwardly and reluctantly, walk away from Godrage.

The assassin shook his head, silently reconsidering his position on the entire contract. If ever something had kept him alive, it had been knowing when to get out of a game. However, Iso, the teleporting swords-woman, was intriguing him a little. He had seen her in action and wasn't unimpressed by what he saw.

"Be careful working for these people. I doubt they're going to give you easy contracts, so do yourself a favour and know when to decline a mission."

At that, he zipped up his jacket, then took a tiny, transparent data chit from beneath his bracelet and passed it to her. "Place it in a compatible communications device if you ever need a secure, direct line of communication with me."

"Don't take it, Iso. We can't have people able to track you no matter who they are, alright? Don't take it."

Iso took the device despite the racket in her ear. In fact, part of her took it to spite it. She nodded to Godrage and smiled in her thanks. She had no idea how she would use it, but she would find a way.

"God dammit Iso. No!"

She took the data chip and placed it in her chest pocket. With a wave to Godrage, she disappeared the other way, flitting out of existence for a few delicate moments before reappearing in Wing City.

The throaty roar of an engine echoed on the flat streches of sunbleached roadbed. A car of unique design shot down the highway heading away from Wing City as quickly as she could. Her target was coming directly at her. The convoy she had been watching carefully for the past week was making the first move. And she was going to counter it as long as she had the chance to do so before the move could be finished. Sarah shot along the highway just under 320KMH heading for her target.

Being away from Nathaniel for more then ten hours was not on Rakes list of things to do. The man flat out refused treatment. Rake did not pressure him. Instead she took an assignment she was originally going to give the man as a partner. Only having Sarah as her backup in this case. The handbuilt custom car cruised along at an insane speed. Very quickly. Yet Rake had complete control of the car. Though what confused the MVA agent was why this convoy.

//Incoming car, not a target! Civilian, has an AI signature of some form Sarah said on the radio to her human within her single seat. The three seat car was a unique model. Yet, useful.//Male, young, unique ID signature for the AI, cannot connect to it through radio. Best let me have control Sarah said.

//All yours Rake replied as she let go of the wheel, allowing Sarah to take over as she barreled down on a small sprts car of some kind. //Try not to kill the guy inside this time.

//That was not my fault!! Sarah insisted, it was not her fault, the guy was shot at before she flipped his car, someone else had killed the driver before they could get to him. Nevertheless, Sarah the Flip Car shot forwards at the oncoming black sports car. Crabwalking across the median she headed directly for the other car. striking perfectly at the driverside half of the car to flip it into the air. //Unknown car taken care of. Sarah said grinding to a shrieking halt and spinning perfectly on a dime to face the flipped car before nosing up to it to make sure the human inside was ok.

"Incoming vehicle, approaching.....Great Fields of Energon....at nearly 330 KPH!" exclaimed Jarvis, the AI of the car/autobot Brad found himself travelling in, with a posh British accent. "And we're stuck behind this damned convoy and thus unable to take evasive action. Should've known this route was a bad idea. We're coming awfully close to Decepticon territory."

"Great" said Brad sarcastically.

Once Sarah was sure the owner of the sports car was okie dokie, the custom built flip car spun a one eighty and took off after the convoy again once more at a speed of 320KPH. Crab walking again she angled straight for Jarvis head on. However she was really after the convoy. High Grade Energon was inside it. Decepticons had stolen it and her task was to recover it. Under any means needed. The energon was kept in sealed containers, it'd take a while for one to get broken.

With a shriek of tortured metal Sarah raised her cockpit ramp to shield the woman inside. And then she made contact dead on with the first car she could.

It was Jarvis.

As soon as she made contact with the Autobot however she said simply on the radio. //I'm soooooooooo slagged

Sarah shrieked to a halt and did another one eighty, looking directly at the flipped car. The convoy halted.

With Sarah halted Rake took that moment to exit the flip car. //Take it easy, something tells me this convoy was already being tracked. Perhaps by some fellows of yours. Keep a tight eye on the convoy. If it moves to exit, follow, don't worry about me. I'll be fine Rake said, a rev of the strange marble black cars engine was in reply. Sarah did not yet have a human form to get around with, nor did she possess any hardlight tech. Rake kept her face covered, but it was easy to tell she was someone in charge of something important. Even with her face covered by a strange almost inert nonrefelctive item that allowed only her eyes and hair to be seen. Something was up.

Rake stepped over to the flipped car. And to the man inside. "Everyone.... alright ?" Her voice was almost metallic due to her jaw implant, not that it harmed her eating or speaking ablitiy. Sure it changed her voice to more robotical sounding, but even then. It did the job.

What was odd about the flip car was that it looked like a heavily modified F1 Racer, but it also kept its distence from the flipped Autobot. Either out of fear or something else entirely. The Earthborn Autobot was scared seemingly for her life. She just flipped another Autobot, one she had yet to meet. Big Time Whoops

Brad suddenly felt as if his stomach and his head had switched places for a few moments as Jarvis went tumbling through the air. "Jarvis?!?! What was that?" he exclaimed.

"Well that was rude. That car flipped us." muttered Jarvis as he heated up an interesting weapon he'd found the schematics for and fashioned a couple for himself. Evidently the humans successfully developed their first plasma-based weaponry: photocomet launchers, weapons capable of firing magnetically generated photo-plasmic objects. Jarvis added a way to control the level of intensity......normally quite destructive. He set them to lowest intensity, flipped himself over using the empty ejector seat, and shot at Sarah's backside. He opened a channel to the AI he detected. "You know, a simple 'excuse me' would have sufficed." said Jarvis.

"Another of your pals I take it." said Brad as his stomach gave another brief lurch as Jarvis righted himself. "Well let's see the damage" he said as he got out of the car.

//YIKE!!// A suden engine revving nearly deafened the two humans as the strange F1 racer like car floored the gas and just barely dodged the plasma shot, however she uprooted five trees and two water mains in the proccess before climing out of that ditch. A sullen look seemingly on her 'face' as she seemed to hug the ground rather tightly. Apparently sparktied the Flip Car replied somewhat hesitently, //Sorry, You were in my path. She kept her distance once more however. Water spilled everywhere like a rainstorm.

Rake stood out of reach of the flipping car, a hand to her temple as the water sprayed everywhere, this was going to be a long day. "Alright, cut it out. I'm not sure what got into you, but whoever you are, taking shots at my partner is not a good plan" The woman looked angered, but it was hard to really tell because her face was covered. Strange tattoos covered both her arms and the outfit she wore seemed to wave to those same markings. "So, in the interest of not killing each other, who are you ?" She asked to Brad as the man got out of his car.

//my underside showing....and to a lady no less// said Jarvis. //quite undignified

"Alright. Everybody cool their jets" said Brad. "We'd probably make better allies than enemies since we seem to be after the same goal....that being that convoy and between the 2 of us we should be able to pick up its trail again"

//If we are after the same goal Chirped Sarah's radio, amplified by her own radio in her car, //Why do I sense that you were after the Energon for different reasons ? Sarahs task was to track the convoy, flip it, then bag and tag. It was not an easy task, but it was a fun one. As far as Sarah was aware, she was after the Energon for personal use, after all, it was her life force. High Grade stuff too. Sarah said nothing to the mention of being a female, she did however appear cheeky as she seemed to bounce on her struts. The low slung car was very unique in make.

Rake removed her wallet and badge, showing it to Brad she said simply, "Rake Sunrider, MVA Directive agent. Sarah and I have been tracking that convoy for a week if not more. Sarah was most intent on getting the convoy, and its contents back to headquaters. But now that you and your partner, is here as well, that makes things slightly different now doesn't it ?" She crossed her arms.

Speed.
Speed is the key.

Once this had been figured out, it was merely a matter of busting down some doors and running fast and free into the whole wide world; down busy roads and through narrow streets, across flat plains and open prairies, going under and over all manner of obstacles, refusing to turn, refusing to move around, to take the easy way, to take the slow-and-steady ride -- a straight line is the fastest route, and the only thing that will ever do.
Breaking down barriers, leaping above limits -- to focus solely on challenges and goals with no ends, to beat the unbeatable and then race far beyond it all...exploring without seeing, for all that's really needed is a sense of movement, and for that movement to be the fastest of all.

This is the key -- /his/ key, to the lock on /his/ life.
That lock has been gone for such a very long time, and the key to it has long been lost, left behind in the face of lacking necessity.
But it hasn't been forgotten -- what it all stands for, what it all /means/, is floods the very pores of his muscle memory.
And now he can finally take some time to forever run the width of worlds, with nary a pit stop in sight.

He's confident, extremely confident, that no one could ever beat him.
No one is faster than him, he's sure of that -- but that doesn't stop him from issuing challenges, to anyone who dares to cross the path of his one-lane street of speed.
It would be inevitably boring, to have nothing more to strive for; despite his love for the act of running, for the feel of motion, that alone would not be enough to provide him with an ideal life.
He needs the presence of others, specifically those who are up to the challenge of beating he who is the fastest of all.
Thus, he must continue to raise the bar, to force every last slice of difficulty to go higher and higher, harder and harder.
Daring danger, he'll run the risks, all of them, and never once miss a beat, never once lose his footing.

There's no room for mistakes, no time for missteps...all there is to do, is go!

Hopping down the highway at a leisurely one hundred kilometers per hour, the tall structures and bright lights of a city are at last coming into view.
Grinning widely, ecstatic with the thought that he will finally be seeing some strange sights of civilization, he rushes to pick up the pace, becoming but a small streak of vivid red zooming over a broad line of dull gray, heading swift and careless on his hasty way, neither heeding nor warning whatever or whomever may already be on the road.

When the convoy took off Sarah also took off after it. A long mile later she heard it, then caught it on her sensors. Uh oh. She sat then in the middle of the road. She laid on her struts, practically a ramp, no gaps between her nose and the pavement as whatever it was came flying at her rather quickly. A hundred KMH. Well, that was beatable.

She just sat there on the pavement, waiting.

Nothing but waiting.

Then it happened.

A shriek of tortured metal. A car flying through the air before landiing behind her. Rather interesting. Sarah did not recognise it in any manner. This was very interesting. She did not wait to sit around too long, as her desired target was rapidly disappearing towards the Fort known as Fort Veritas. That was troublesome. The Flip Car turned briefly and looked at the strange other car that was flying down the highway towards her.

//Bradley and I here are part of a guerilla group....Brad who is a native of this planet along with the rest of the inhabitants...are doing their best to fight the Decepticon menace and I and other autobots are trying to help, but our Energon reserves are starting to run low and seeing as how the Decepticons seem to control most of the supply on this planet our best way to obtain more seemed to be a quick raid// said Jarvis to Sarah, and also routed through his external speakers.

Jarvis, sensing that battle had begun, ramped his photocomet launchers up to full power and sped off using hyperthrust to assist Sarah, leaving the 2 respective drivers to talk alone

"Well, I'm Brad, Col. Brad Sheen to be specific, though we haven't got much military left" said Brad holding out his hand for Rake to shake

As the two cars took off leaving Brad and Rake in the dust, Rake smiled behind her mask. She outranked him for sure by quite a bit. "Unfortunatly what military you do have left is not in this 'verse. Its in another." She had not the heart to tell that in that other verse he was dead but his military was strong as ever. "You are not the first Sheen I have met." The MVA Directive Agent said. Even though there was a gas station not far off. She activated her hand phone and called in a request for a airlift for two as her partner took off after the convoy.

In a way it was creepy to have a crystal device like a handphone embedded in her right hand. It gloved through her skin in bright white colors and showed her palm, and each finger bone not including thumb and pinky. It was in a word, creepy, and in some cases unsettling of how it was embedded.

It was strange to see the Flip Car in action. Normally one would simply drive the thing into oncoming traffic and flip the cars over into each other. But in this case Sarah just sat in the middle of the highway and let the traffic, whatever it was, hit her and go sailing into the air. Fun times. Of course with her weight {nowhere near half a ton} And the fact that she hugged the ground so perfectly, kept her solidly in place as whatever hit her went flying as Jarvis showed up. //Welcome to the party. Saved you some party favors. she said simply over the comm channel. It felt good to be alive.

//Now, lets go find my dinner, its not far I got it on my sensors. With that she took off again with a shriek of burned rubber and shot down the highway, a sign she passed read FORT VERITAS 50KM Sarah was both angry and hungry. She was angry because she was hungry, and she was also angry because not only was she hungry, but some Decepticons got away with her next meal.

Jarvis "smiled" or what passed for it for autobots as he used his twin photocomet launchers to good effect, begin careful to avoid the Energon storage tanks in the vehicles, for it would do no good to see what they both came for go up in a big fireball.

//You saved me some party favors? aww you shouldn't've// replied Jarvis cheekily

//Yes I see the coward trying to do a runner// said Jarvis as he fired up his hyperthrust engines again.

Meanwhile Brad and Rake were still talking. "Yeah I've been noticing what seemed to be quantum fissures allowing for quite a confluence of realities to take place. I think I've been seeing other me's running around here...some nice....some not so nice" said Brad

Bounding down the road with an acceleration of nearly ten kilometers per second, the sudden sight of oncoming traffic only makes him laugh.
Here lies a challenge, practically given to him on an easy-to-reach platter!

He hits it up to two hundred kilometers per hour, whereupon he makes a quick decision to maintain this specific speed, for the short time it will take him to overcome this very first challenge.
It's just something to do while he makes his way towards the city, without actually changing direction.

The group of vehicles barrel towards him with no sign of stopping, and all it takes for him to pass them by is to merely jump from one's roof to the other, on for a couple more before landing back on the pavement, and then taking off the second his feet touch ground, instantly reobtaining his original cruising speed of one hundred kilometers per hour.

All right...so it wasn't all that much of a challenge, but perhaps he can still find a way to have some fun.

Hey, what do you know -- here comes another car, this one appearing to be all alone.
But perplexity soon fills his mind as it comes to its own sudden stop, lying sideways right in his path.
His eyes narrow, focusing on it-- hey, it's a ramp!
Sweet.

There's no use in resisting a chance opportunity like this, so of course he heads straight for it.
Zoom!

The shriek that accompanies his leaping high into the air off of the ramp, ear-splitting though it may be, only adds to the exhilarating high that's beginning to course through the veins of his fiery body.
He howls in glee as he makes a hard, loud landing, losing little speed as he starts turning, cutting a clear circle to aim his body back at the car-ramp, which has already resumed its own pace.

It's going fast, perhaps trying to catch up with that other grouping?
Ho, boy, maybe he'll get to have some fun here!
He's practically kicking his heels in joy.
Why pass up opportunity?
The city can wait!

Slipping forwards into two hundred once more, he bullets right for the car that's closest -- the lone one, which is within easy reach.
A second car suddenly speeds past him, sending the short red-brown hairs covering his body forwards for the flash of a moment, before then being sent back thanks to his own speed.

Whoo!
Tingly.

Only a bit more speed is needed to be put on his large leaping legs for him to reach those two cars.
Hmm...but he wonders -- should he stay some distance behind, follow them all the way instead of simply trying to beat them?

Perhaps...but who says that they're going to stop just because he catches up to them, even passes by them?
What's the harm in finding out?
At the very least, he'll be running.
Always running.

He proceeds with the acceleration.

Within mere moments, he's reached the two cars.
He has to decelerate a little, just to make sure that he doesn't pass them before he can get a good look -- and before has a chance to taunt them.

Hopping along at high speeds besides them would give them a good look of his body's physical structure, not to mention reveal that he's in no way an automobile at all, but instead some sort of living animal!
You'd think it'd be obvious by the evidence of his movements, but hey, people have gotten it wrong before, and they'd surely get it wrong again.

He needs to make sure that he's /remembered/!
At least, just long enough for him to kick their butts to curb.

What he would essentially appear to be, is a red kangaroo, /Macropus rufus/.
A big, human-sized body covered in short red-brown fur that fades to pale buff below and on the limbs; it bears large powerful legs, small strong arms, and a long muscular tail that proves great as both a balancer in flight and as a third limb for whenever he feels like sitting up and giving someone a good kick in the face.
His lower stomach holds a pouch similar to that which would be seen on your ordinary female kangaroo, which, to say the least, has proven to be quite deceiving to those who know a thing or two about kangaroo anatomy.
He's wearing a bright red hooded poncho over his upper body, the hood bouncing and flying behind his head at such a rate, it's surprising that the whole thing doesn't just pop right off of him altogether.

A good glance would show the two black wolf ears stitched to the hood as paired attachments.
An even better glance would reveal a face that is quite unlike any /normal/ kangaroo: though it retains the long, pointed ears, everything else is completely and utterly /wrong/.
The head is round, completely lacking in the presence of a muzzle -- or any sort of proper nose at all, to tell the truth...unless you count that small button in the middle of his face as a nose -- and, no, that is not just a figure of speech: his nose is an /actual button/.
His face is vaguely humanlike, and "vaguely" is where that comparison stops -- the face may be somewhat flat in a manner similar to that of humans, but that's all there is to it in those matters of resemblance.
The eyes are big, gray, and full of mischief, as is the big, grinning mouth, which is in fact rather toothless aside from the serpentine fangs up front and the pair of boar-like tusks poking out the sides.

With this monstrous mouth he flashes the cars a big, friendly grin (which is technically meant to be directed towards the drivers, whom he fails to see on account of their not being there), which is then broken by the act of sticking out a forked tongue at them, making a face, and then swiftly zipping past as he picks up speed at an incredible pace, zooming in the direction that the convoy has gone.

His voice calls back to them, against the unlikeliness of it ever being heard at speeds so high:
"Catch me if you can!"

Jarvis did the autobot equivalent of an eyeroll

Sadly, the rig that was hit was a decoy. Sarah swore in several terran langauges before shooting towards the last remaining military jeep in the convoy. She'd been duped! With a shriek of burning rubber she hammered headlong into the oncoming military semi and sent it flying into the air, rolling behind her.

But she knew where they were going! Once more leaving a ruin in her wake she shot for the Fort not far away. 45KM, not too far to go. She was angry, and starving. And nothing was good for anyone that held something between herself and her next meal.

When the new thing showed up, the thing that shot off her ramp, she spun a one eighty and shot along backwards for a few seconds before spinning back around and stopping. What the slag was that ?? //I do not think that was a car, it looked, strange.... Something I have never seen before. In truth Sarah had never seen much if any at all of terran wildlife. What she had seen though was her partners fondness for cats and fish. Items Sarah called Swimmings and Fuzzies.

Sarah once more took off then in a shriek of burning rubber. This time passing a sign that read

FORT VERITAS: 45KM
MCKINLEY SAMSON FACTORY: 60KM

Back at where she was left with Brad, Rake smiled, "Something like that. Part of my job is keeping the balance between universes in a manner of speaking." She explained "We use blackholes that collapse the walls between universes, its a painful way to travel, but it is worth while I think." She smiled again behind her mask. "I have a lift incoming if you need a ride." She said. Thankful for the nonce that he did not mention anything of her handphone.
