One paragraph to describe Alexandra. Man that is a tricky thought. She can be crazy and silly all at the same time. But then she can be happy and sad at the same time to. I can’t really think of a time there would ever be only one emotion but she is sweet and loving too. She will always be there for you even if she isn’t. She has a happy outlook on life. She worries for people and is very stubborn. She will be a bit controlling in situations but she is trying to lean away but you know how hard it is to break bad habits. When danger rears its head, Alexandra generally beats feet and lets their tough-guy friends deal with the problem. She is very intelligent and tries to keep peace. Like some other people she knows. She doesn’t like to place judgement on others. Hey if your gay she’s cool. If you sleep with your cat. She is cool. She is pretty cool with it all since she thinks that it’s your business and not hers. She is also very optimistic and likes to see the best of things. She thinks that anything that isn’t optimistic about things it’s just not good. She is normally a nurturing person but doesn’t like to over-do it for she doesn’t want to seem weak. She always wants to be liked by everyone. She likes to think of the logical on things. She always believes there are two sides to every story. Alexandra is also very trusting with others. Megan is very much a people person also. She loves hanging with people and talking is another favorite thing of hers. She also likes to talk a lot.

Alexandra was born in Boston. Her parents were not too happy that she was here. She thought it was odd but she lived with it. She was born into this. She was born into a family of one other child. Her older sister was only 12 when she born.
G R O W I N G U P
Growing up was hard. Her parents always loved her older sister the most. She knew it was difficult to grow up and know that she wasn’t the favorite or the best of the family but she knew where she stood. She knew her values the stuff she wanted out of life.

She in school became with friends with a daughter from the Currier family. Natalie Currier was a lovely girl and enjoyed being friends with her. They started to hang out a lot when she began to notice her a bit older brother. She was a tad younger then him. But found him very good looking. She began to hang out with him.

She began to really like Noah Currier more through her teenager years. She continued to hang out with him and enjoyed more and more their talks, friendship and the times they hung out.

She really began to fall in love with him. She knew that everything was good. Even though her household life wasn’t good. She didn’t like her parents much. Her parents were quite mean towards her and didn’t want her around in certain times. She enjoyed to hang out with the Curriers then her own family.

Once she was finished with high school. She thought things would change with Noah. But it didn’t his sister died and he was devastated so he left. He left town. He moved.

She found herself being completely sad. She didn’t want to eat, or move or sleep. She sat in a chair looking out the window doing nothing. She a few weeks later began to eat move around and sleep. She got a job as a librarian at the library and began to get into a bit of a life like state.
H E R M U R D E R
She was still living with her parents those three to four years without Noah and working at the library was good. But her parents were never happy with her. They hated her. They would ignore her at dinner. They would ignore lots of stuff that she said.

Her mother was fairly wicked and lived her life while reading horror and murder books. Her father wasn’t any better he didn’t read but watched it all on TV. She was worried for them. But she didn’t interfere because she didn’t want to get into any trouble with them.

But it happened that they were plotting a way to kill her. They wanted to make sure they never got framed for it. But she knew nothing of it. One night her mother came into her room talking to her. She was sitting near the window and looking out at her mother who sat down beside her.
She said just gibberish that she didn’t remember to well. All she remembers is her mother came and gave her a hug. Then she snapped her neck. She was dead just like that. They quickly dragged her to the closet hanging her making it look like a suicide.
They walked out of the house leaving a note pretending like they were gone for a weekend. And when they came back they called the police and told them what happened.

The funeral was brief, occupied by glassy-eyed family and suspicious friends. Amid whispers and glances, everyone had come to the same conclusion. Despite what the police had said, Alexandra was murdered. However there was nothing that could be done. Justice would only live within their fantasies. Noah had heard the rumors. His entire noisy household all had their theories. Some thought it was a secret boyfriend. The idea twisted in Noah's gut. Others thought it was her dad. His mother thought it was someone she met at the library. His brothers laughed and began teasing her about the library's "serial killer", hidden among the shelves. She laughed with them as she preceded to fatten them all up with another casserole. With Noah, especially, she sloshed an extra helping.

He had been gone for a number of years. He had never told them why and despite their questions, it remained a secret. When he returned for Alexandra's funeral, they were more than surprised. He sat at the back of the church, far apart from the others. Noah was afraid if he sat closer, his desire to see her would manifest itself into something physical. For whatever reason, he had the uncanny ability to make things appear. He had discovered this accidentally when his own sister died in an accident. He had summoned her back to life only to discover she was a mere shade. He didn't want to see Alexandra limited to his own imagination. He wanted her. If he had only told her how he felt.

After the funeral he walked to the local bar and sat at the counter. The other mourners would be burying the body and weeping into each other's arms. He needed a drink. Amid the noise and chaos of a Friday night, he was alone in his grief. He had been alone since he had left town. He wasn't sure if he could ever feel apart of the world again. He closed his eyes, thinking of Alexandra as he last saw her. She was beautiful in her own quiet way. He'd stumble onto her in the hallway or playing with his sister. In the beginning he thought nothing of her but as they got older, he found her always on his mind. He never had the courage to say anything and now he had missed his chance. When he opened his eyes, he felt a chill to his right. When he looked for the cause, he saw her sitting at the bar next to him. She looked confused but when she saw him, someone familiar, she smiled.

"You can't be real," he said, under his breath.

Before he could speak, the bartender interrupted, "You okay?" Noah turned, suddenly at a loss for words. His hand appeared to be stuck in mid air, but beneath his palm, he could still feel her there.

"Uh yeah... I..." He turned back to her. She didn't know. How could he explain it to her? "I think we should leave," he said, "and catch up," He smiled warmly at her as he slid some cash onto the counter. It wasn't real and would evaporate once he got far enough away.

The bartender took the cash and wrinkled his brow, "You mean me? I don't know you... Are you sure you're alright? I can call a cab" he asked. But Noah shook his head. He waved him off and left the bar. "I'll be fine," he assured him.

As he walked outside, breathing in the crisp air, everything ceased to make sense. Alexandra was here but she wasn't. If he told her the truth, would she disappear? He had to tread carefully. Maybe he had been drinking too much. Maybe it was just another hallucination. Could he have wished for her ghost? There was only one way to tell for sure.

He turned to her, sliding a hand through his hair. "Okay... I think I'm losing my mind but humor me... How do you feel about me?" If she answered that she loved him, he knew it was just a figment of his imagination. It would be the only way to know for sure.

His dreams were strangely vivid. He saw himself in a room with a single light above him. He was sitting at the end of the table, light shining in his eyes. In the shadows, he heard others shuffling their feet and whispering. Noah couldn't get a good look at anyone. Suddenly he saw Alexandra's body laid out on the table before him. She was pale and waxy; her face was sunken in. He wanted to run but he couldn't move. Then a hand came out of the darkness and slammed against the table. "She's dead because of you," the voice accused. He shook his head, "No, no, I didn't do anything," he insisted. Another hand slammed against the table and accused him of the same crime. Then another. Every time he pleaded his innocence until finally every fist disappeared. Then, at the head of the table, Alexandra appeared, alive like she was, looking at her corpse. Then she turned to him and said, "So what you are going to do about it?"

"I don't know," he admitted. But the people in the shadows weren't done. The whispering grew louder, with a single phrase uttering from their hidden lips, "So what are you going to do about it?"

Noah woke with a start, with the dream still fresh on his mind. Quickly he looked around for Alexandra and breathed a sigh of relief that she was still there. He smiled, taking her into her arms. "You're still here," he said, kissing her on the temple. "I was worried," In the dream, Alexandra had looked accusing and cold like her mother, nothing like the real version in front of him. Except she wasn't real. Somewhere her body was in the ground. He could pretend all he wanted but in the end, it was fantasy. He took her hand in his. He had expected it to be cold. She was always so cold but as he traced his fingers along her life line, it felt almost warm. Her skin was just a bit pinker than last night. He was about to remark until his older brother burst into the room.

"Breakfast, loser," he said with a grin, "hurry up,"

"Give me a minute," Noah insisted.

His brother looked suspiciously around the room, "Why? What are you doing?"

"Nothing, I-"

"Then get downstairs," his brother barked, marching back downstairs. Every footstep was like an elephant's stampede.

"I forgot what living here was like. Not a minute to myself,"

Words seared into the letter as she spoke them. He folded it gently and put it in his pocket. "I think it's powerful... do you think she believes you...uh..." he stopped himself. He couldn't bring himself to accuse her mother of murder or conspiracy to murder. It was bad enough that he was thinking it. But as he turned it over in his mind, it felt like a reach. What mother could do that? What father could do that?

Noah headed towards Alexandra's old home, head buried in dark thoughts. He kept glancing at Alexandra, making sure she didn't disappear. When he got to the doorstep, he took a breath before knocking on the door. "Are you afraid?" he asked. Before he could hear her answer, Alexandra's mother answered the door. She was as he remembered. Her beady eyes looked him over.

"What are you doing here?" she asked, glancing behind him.

"I came to pay my respects," he said, "and I have something for you,"

Reluctantly, she let him in. He had never seen the inside of Alexandra's home. It felt chilly. It didn't look like a home children would live in. It was hard to picture such a sweet girl inside such a dark place. He sat stiffly on the couch, fumbling with the letter in his pocket. "Uh... Alexandra sent this to me before... it happened," As he unfolded the letter, he noticed her mother's eyes widen. She gripped on the arm of her chair. She looked worried but as he read the letter, she began to relax. Something was off. He couldn't figure out what but something.

He sighed, staring at his feet. "Nothing happened... I just... I lost my temper," Everything was spinning out of control. He didn't know where to turn. There was no one who could understand the power he had at his fingertips and how helpless he felt that his powers meant nothing to the ghost of the girl he loved. She would still be dead. He would still be alone.

"Yeah, let's leave it. Maybe we can just take a walk? Clear our heads..." He lead her down the road in no clear direction. His eyes followed the passing cars, one by one. He thought of jumping in front of one. Would he be a ghost then too? Would he still see her?
