Eleanor Kelly
Role Helper
Nickname Sister Elly
Age 31
Description
Physical:
Height: 5' 6"
Weight: 125 lbs
Hair Color: Red
Eye Color: Green

Eleanor was born to two Irish immigrants and her heritage is a plain as the hair on her head... Because her hair is red as hell. She is pale with a dusting of freckles on her face, and has light green eyes. She could even be called pretty if she didn't normally have a cigar in her mouth or a drink in hand. Her green eyes almost constantly hold a mischievious gleam and her lips curled into either a scowl or grin. She stands short among the men at five feet six inches, but it's the perfect height to stick a blade between someone's ribs or provide a smaller target to hit.

Personality

Fears
Death - The West is full of blood and death, something Elly has learned first hand, and on both sides of the coin. Near death experiences never get fun, no matter how many times you have them.
Damnation - Elly fears for her immortal soul. A relative recent thing, she fears that all of her past misdeeds may catch up to her in this life or the afterlife and refuse her entry into those pearly gates. She has placed her life in God's hands and hopes that it will be enough to save her from the jaws of Hell.
Her Past - Over the years, she had gained many an enemy, and she fears that she may one day run into them. Most of all she fears a reckoning, where the leads of her old life clash with those of the new.

Likes
Drinking and Smoking - Old habits die hard. She started in her teens and hasn't really kicked the habit yet. That being said, she has reigned her habits in since she found God, she doesn't constantly have a cigar hanging from her lips or nose deep in tequila. Still probably does it more than healthy however, and still carries a flask with her name on it.
Bible - In her spare time, she often reads a small bible she carries on her person at all times. Her favorite chapters are Psalms and Proverbs, which provides a lot of verses for lessons on how to live ones life, and tends to spout verses at others from said chapters.
Preaching - Sister Elly, as she is known by some, would love nothing less than to convert a poor lost soul to the glory that is God. If not, then they must at least hear the word of God. If not? Fuck 'em. She tried.

Dislikes
Being looked down upon - Elly will not tolerate being looked down at. She has worked harder than most men, and believes she earned the respect she deserves, even if she is a woman. She will prove any who say otherwise wrong, by either deeds, or a gun to the face.
Unreasonable hardasses - Those that can not be made to see reason tend to piss her off to no end, as she sees having one's head up one's ass as an undesirable trait, and one likely to get someone killed.

Equipment

Skills Elly has a reputation for being quite the rifleman and a sharp eye. She is quite the sharpshooter with her Winchester rifle, or any rifle for that matter. Elly also has a quick draw, but desperately prefers to avoid such situations where it would be necessary to be faster than the other person. She'd much rather to rely on accuracy than quickness, but as the saying goes, "There's the quick, and then there's the dead" and she learned to adapt.

Strengths She isn't as strong and big as most males, but she makes up for it by being quicker, more agile, and more flexible. She believes that God is on her side and provides what one would call... Foolish recklessness, which is both a strength and a weakness. She is fearless, and will not go down without a fight, kicking and screaming, teeth bared at death itself. Chances are, she would still be cussing once she did arrive to those pearly gates. She is also very practical when in fights and doesn't rely on the bravado she puts up. Dirt in the face may be cheap, but the dead don't complain.

Weaknesses She isn't as strong as most, even if she tries her damnedest to deny it. She wants everyone to think she can wrestle a crocodile, when the much truer statement is that she would more likely pop it between the eyes a good distance away. Not that she is a coward, she is just practical when it comes down to it. She also has a weakness for the drink (especially tequila. Too damned hot for whiskey.) and smoke.

History

Eleanor's tale is a long and bloody one, with temptations, demons, and hopeful redemption. Elly was born to simple roots to an Irish family farming the frontier. She had many siblings, 3 brothers and 2 other sisters, she was the middle youngest and therefore often overlooked by her parents. She was a simple girl growing up, working in the fields with her family to grow crops. Unlike most stories like these, her family was not murdered by bandits. No, her foray into the wild west was a lot simpler. Simply put, she was bored. She hated the rhythm that farming provided. Till, weed, water, and harvest, for ten years of her life when she started at four. Even when not farming, she was tasked with hunting with some of her brothers and father. Luckily, she proved exceptional behind the trigger. She brought home her first deer at ten, and ever since been in love with the rifle.

She was fourteen when she decided she had had enough and left. She doesn't know if her family is still alive and kicking, but common sense would say yes. People like that never leave home. Life on her own proved hard for Elly. She had to steal to survive, and sleep wherever she could. Mostly it was in barns whose owners had no idea of their uninvited guest. They were hard times, but soon she was taken in by an unlikely source. She was caught pickpocketing a drunken man who had walked out of a saloon. Drunken bastards always provided the easiest haul, and she thought she had found her a meal ticket. Wrong

Even though drunk, the man felt the deft fingers slip into his pocket, and before Elly could react, the man had a gun in her face and a grip on her arm. Unlike the child he expected to found, Elly proved more... Strong willed than he would have figured. Jaw stuck out, eyes leveled on the man, Elly showed no signs of fear, or even repentance. An Irish temper, the man found himself intrigued by this girl and gave her the gold pieces she was after and a propsition. Join him and his gang and never been hungry again.

The thought appealed to the girl, and not just because she was tired of being hungry. A gang would provide the excitement she left home for! It was either that or starve. She picked the best solution. She spent years in the gang, whose members were at first apprehensive to the thought of her joining, but gradually warmed up to her. Elly's stubbornness and keen eye managed to help too. Recently however, she has been seen without the gang and thumping a bible. That, however, is a story over a few drinks with a couple of friends.

So begins...
