No one remembers how it happened, but somehow humanity was able to finally cross the bridge between the biological, and the digital worlds. As a result, an entire universe was made within minutes, all residing in the cyberspace through which data travels. The Network, our home, our universe. Created from thousands of Datagrid's that represent both the developed and undeveloped digital mainframes within various computers, and connecting these worlds of data is cyberspace, an open expanse of nothing, where our manifestations are non existent, and we are simply streams of data traveling towards our destinations.


However, there is no such thing as perfection. As with any society, there is crime, and there is danger. The latest of these dangers is a strange new race of organisms born from cyberspace and released into the datagrids. The Nano, in a word, viral. While we are represented in a humanoid fashion, as most programs are, and identified through a disc that is both a weapon and a way of accessing memories, the Nano are neither. Looking like twisted abominations from humanities worst nightmares, they are identified simply by the lack of light surrounding them. They are the alien invaders of our new universe.

But also like in previous societies, when an army invades, humanity retaliates. And so now we humans, we Datamorphic organisms, must stand together and prove that, though we are no longer flesh and blood, we are still strong! We are still Human! And we will still fight!
