After practically raising himself, Iro learned to be as independent as a depressed person could be. While he can socially understand that sometimes it is necessary to be alone and can manage that, he hates every second of being alone. He does suffer from depression and never really considers his interactions with people genuine, often thinking they're superficial and that no one would choose him first to talk to. He's always suppressed his emotions, because he could never have been emotional in front of his little brother when they were together.

ā—‰General Backgroundā—‰

Iro often had to raise his younger brother due to his parents working incredibly hard. Iro had no feelings of disdain for them for this and was happy to spend time with his baby brother to help his parents provide. This wasn't easy however, it was difficult to raise both himself and a young impressionable boy. Iro never got to experience some of the things a young teen could due to him not wanting to negatively influence his brother. His depression hit increasingly at the end of primary school as it does with most children. Sadly he started associating these feelings as normal and it has made lasting impressions on his relationships. His few past girlfriends all broke his heart and while he is friendly toward women, he doesn't think any woman could really care about him like family.

I pushed both doors open to Music Room 3, breathing in its familiar scent. The new school year was starting, and boy, was I excited to get things started with the Host Club! With a new year comes new people, you know, and I just couldnā€™t wait to meet all of the new guests we would be getting this year. My Host Club members were always the best of the best when it came to entertaining the ladies, though of course not better than the original Host members, as no one could even come close to them, but we do our absolute best to be our absolute best for each other and our esteemed guests. Iā€™m ramblingā€¦ I walked into the room, brushing my fingertips along the wall, ecstatic to begin the new year. I hadnā€™t planned any theme for the day, which was honestly unusual, but nonetheless, it would be a wonderful day; I could just feel it.

ā™«ā€I come home in the morning light/My mother says when you gonna live your life right/Oh mother dear we're not the fortunate ones/And girls they wanna have fun/Oh girls just want to have fun/The phone rings in the middle of the night/My father yells what you gonna do with your life/Oh daddy dear you know you're still number one/But girls they wanna have fu-ā€ā™« I was dancing about the room, singing my most favourite Cyndi Lauper song, as girls really do just want to have fun, I mean, look at our Host Club, when I was interrupted by more of our members coming into the room. I clapped my hands together in excitement. ā€Welcome, my treasured comrades! Iā€™m so happy to have you here! We have a big day ahead of us! We are going to have many, many ladies to entertain, and we must do our finest, finest job to make sure that our guests have the best time that they can possibly have with us!ā€ I smiled big, from ear-to-ear, really.

This was going to be a great year, I could just feel it! And like many Host Club members before them, most of the Hosts had a free first period so that they could set up the Music Room for the day. I was thrilled to be a part of the Host Club, and I had a feeling that this year was going to be very special.

Ichiro shoved his hands into his pockets, sighing as he walked across the grounds towards the front doors of Ouran Academy. It was his first year as a high school student here, and he wasnā€™t entirely sure how he felt about it. He knew that there was one specific thing that he couldnā€™t stand. The Host Club. Heā€™d heard about it countless times from overhearing the girls in middle school talking about it and how excited they were to get to be guests when they got to high school. He couldnā€™t help but roll his eyes, even just at the thought of the Host Club. How can they run such a despicable club? ā€˜Entertaining the ladies.ā€™ What does that even mean?! How do they have ā€˜too much time on their handsā€™ so often?! Donā€™t they have things like homework or something they need to worry about instead??

Ichiro pushed through the front doors, making a ā€˜pfftā€™ sound as he did so, exasperated just thinking about the Host Club. He brushed his hair out of his eyes. I didnā€™t put quite enough Fekkai hairspray in this morning. My hair is going to be a flop todayā€¦ I knew I shouldā€™ve brought my travel size with me just in case. What a great start to my first day in high school. He sighed, brushing his hair off to the side again. In the midst of his messing with his hair, he managed to bump into someone walking in the opposite direction. It was a cutesy looking boy with snow white hair and reddish eyes. ā€Hey. Why donā€™t you watch where youā€™re going?ā€ Ichiro huffed.

Kyo skipped into Ouran Academy, excited for the new year. It was April, spring, her favourite time of year. The cherry blossoms were going to start blooming soon, and she couldnā€™t wait. She loved the way they smelled and how cute the little blossoms looked all over the pretty, light pink trees. She also couldnā€™t wait to become a guest at the Host Club, and she knew exactly which Host was going to be her absolute favourite. Yukio! He was the cutesy type, and she loved all things cutesy.

As she skipped through the foyer, the noticed Yukio walking towards Music Room 3 when a blonde boy, seemingly preoccupied with his hair, bumped into him. She looked on nervously, hoping that Yukio was okay. Ohmygod. I'm probably staring. Ohno! She could feel her face turning pink and she rushed off to class, not wanting to seem like more of a weirdo than she already was. As she was hurrying down the hallway, she bumped into someone. She recognized her as a member of the student council, Miku Fujiwara! "I-I'm so sorry!" Kyo said hurriedly.

[[OOC: I decided to put Shigure in first person to make him just that much more ā€œextra..ā€ XD All of the other characters should be in third person, like normal. I just thought it would be kind of funny if Shigure was just like Tamaki in how ā€œextraā€ he tended to be.]]

Well it had finally come; the third year. It had been grueling for Iro these past few years, putting on a brave face and pretending those around him mattered more than they actually did to him. He had formed a close bond with many people but the people seeking his admiration the most often went back to their homes empty handed, not to any fault of their own. You see Iro had no time to think about separating his time when all he could think about was keeping his family happy; His parents proud and his brother satisfied. Iro was more than proud to help his family out while his parents provided the money the family had learned to become so accustom to, but Iro was so tired.

The night before Iro had spent almost all night trying to make sure Satoru had everything he would need for the new year; books, pencils, and headphones when he got bored. This errand trip had kept Iro up until the early morning hours and upon completing his errands, Iro had very little time to deal with his own health. He's an adult, he can take care of himself... But he's never really had to before... What will he do when you're gone..? The debate raged on in the elder brother's mind, knowing well that if something were to happen to Iro then their parents would likely try to hire a nanny again to run their lives. The last caretaker didn't treat the boys as adults so Iro begged his parents to let him take on the duties, he never regretted a single choice he made that day.

It was around that time, time for free period first thing in the morning. So Iro would likely meet up with his family in Music Room 3. As he jostled his guitar, a sunburst Gibson, and shuffled his way down to the room he could hear what sounded like outdated music being sung somewhat off-key. He rounded the corner and saw a few other of the boys waiting outside the door. Amateurs..

He chuckled to himself and gently passed through the others telling them, "Well dont wait for me guys. I know you hang on my every word, but you should feel free to go in by yourselves!" This was his third year in the Host Club, and he had finally come to think of the boys as family because they always made him smile. As Iro pushed open the door the source of the sound was then seen. It wasn't that of a dying critter, but that of the little prince Shigure. Quickly the little one Yukio snuck passed Iro, greeted the prince and went to the kitchen. "You'd think that we'd all be more musically inclined since we have this room," He joked with a warm smile and sat down in a chair within speaking distance of the boys feeling his belly rumble from not eating this morning.

A new school year always held new promises, and this year was no different, especially with the addition of the Host Club to his endless list of things to attempt. He would venture to guess it wouldn't be quite as terrible as the sewing class he took but not quite as successful as his first attempt at flambƩ, which was still quite the disaster.

He knew the halls in the school quite well now, perhaps as well as he knew the halls of his own home, and had passed by the "unused" music room on many occasions. He had never ventured inside before today, however.

Koichi could hear singing coming from inside Music Room 3. 'That must be Shigure,' he thought to himself, thinking about what he had heard about the other boy. This was Koichi's first real day as a host despite being a third-year student. Even as a third year, he had heard of Shigure Inoue's ostentatious personality. He probably would have never had a desire to join a club like this if it hadn't been for Hiroki, his younger brother.

Quite a few people were gathered outside of the Music Room, a couple even bumping into each other, but Koichi slipped right past them and through the door to gain entrance into the room where he was able to catch the end of Shigure's greeting.

"Hello and good morning. I'm Koichi Tachibana. It's a pleasure to meet you." He gave the other hosts a small wave as he looked around the spacious room, taking in the details of the furniture and finely placed art. He found himself a comfortable spot on one of the couches, just ever so slightly out of the way, and nestled into the cushions quite easily.

Her first year at Ouran Academy, so far it was pretty much the same as her all girls school. She'd gone to the office to do some paperwork and discovered that she would have to join a club by the end of the day in order for her scholarship to be valid. A club. She wasn't the type to join clubs. The woman in the office gave her a list of the school's available clubs, which was nearly a whole page long. Luckily this was a free period so she started on her list. As she walked she tried to blend in. The week before she had cut her hair shorter so she would look more like a guy but not to short that when she was outside of school she wouldn't look like herself. Her guardian, who she calls Ena, thankfully didn't notice much of a change except that her hair was just a little shorter than it used to be. Ena didn't ask many questions about her academics. It isn't like she just ignores Tosh, she just knows that Tosh is a good student so that is one less thing she has to worry about when it comes to Tosh. Quite honestly Ena worries more about Tosh making friends which she does but they are never real friends. According to Ena, friends go to each others homes and study or spend time there. Tosh had never done that. She had been invited but never went and has never invited anyone to her home.

So far she has crossed off half the list in her hand, she started with the clubs she knew she would be interested in but they were full, then she moved on to more nonacademic clubs and so far most of them were full as well. There were only two left, some kind of tech club and The Host Club. What kind if club is that?

She went to visit this tech club to no avail. It was full which meant in order to stay in this school she had to join The Host Club. So she went in search of this club. It was in a strange place, a music room. She stood at the door just staring into the room quietly. Right now there were five others who arrived before her. She just watched from the door. Did she really want to join this club? No. Did she have to for the sake of her education? Yes.

I was more than excited to see all of the familiar faces I knew, and one that I didn't yet, but by the sound of his name, I knew that he was our new "Cool" Type. I welcomed him with open arms, and he made himself at home in no time! I smiled at my little hosts, excited for the others to arrive. I looked around the room and noticed that the door was cracked open just ever so slightly, and I could see little eyes peering in from behind glasses. I pranced over to the door, flinging it wide open, and grabbing the newcomer by the wrist, whisking her into the room. She was a cutie, alright!

"Now, tell me, my cute little mouse. What has brought you to our illuuuustrious Host Club, my dear?" By the look on her face, she seemed overwhelmed by my taking notice of her and bringing her into the room so swiftly and gallantly. I sighed, flicking a piece of hair from my face, clasping my hands together with my eyes closed in an melodramatically exasperated way. "Oh, my sweet little mousie. Don't tell me! You're Haruhi's biggest fan, aren't you?? You wish to follow in her little footsteps and be a Host Club member even though you're a female! Not that Haruhi particularly wanted to join the Host Club, but nonetheless, my dear bespectacled little Haruhi worshipper, I humbly accept your wanting to be a Host Club member! Though we will have to a work on your look juuuust a teensy bit while you're hosting, make you look more believable as a male. Thankfully, many of our lovely guests enjoy the company of sweet, cute-looking, even slightly girly men! So you will fit in just perfectly fine, my sweet muse! Our aesthetics team will make sure you appear more believable as a model man when you are here hosting! My adorable little one, we accept you as our newest member! You will be our new 'Natural' Type, continuing to follow in Haruhi's footprints and taking her place, though you will never be able to truly replace her, as I don't think anyone really could if I'm going to be honest with you, just as even I will never be able to genuinely take the place of our dearest Prince Tamaki before me!" I rambled, draping my arm over my forehead dramatically.

"So, my little muse, are you prepared to take on your esteemed roll as a member of this Host Club??" I asked, grasping both of her hands, my face fairly close to her own; I could feel my eyes sparkling in anticipation.

Hisashi sighed softly, just leaving the bathroom. It was the second time he needed to adjust his chest-binder. His steps echoed down the hall towards Music Room #3. He double-checked to feel that he was flat. Thankfully, he was only a B-cup.

I knew I should've brought my kendo binder... Ah well. After the meeting for the club, I'll change to the girl's uniform and take a break for History. That should be enough time for my ribs.

He smiled softly, satisfied with his plan. Opening the door to the club, he stepped in quietly. Chatter could be heard, disregarding the others outside the door. There was a loud burst from before him, a young lady before a young man. He guessed that the young blonde was Shigure Inoue. But he wouldn't interrupt the moment. He simply stepped to the side, then took a moment to look around. The room was rather large, the windows having the best view. He walked over and looked outside for a moment, getting a bit lost in thought.

He snapped back into reality after a moment. He thought a moment, I ought to find a changing room. After club hours, I could simply change. Hisashi shook his head. He'd worry on that for another time. Hisashi looked over his shoulder, taking the time to look over the others. He didn't know many here. Alas, he'd come to know them in due time. He'd sit down in one of the chairs, quietly enjoying the overall air of the club.

Another year in highschool, another year in Host Club. Satoru had a weird feeling as this would be his last year in Host Club together with his brother. Satoru was glad Iro had made sure he had everything for the new year, as he the thought had barely passed his mind at all. ā€œI wonder how next year will be. I canā€™t drop out of Host Club, can I? Of course not what a silly thought Satoru. Iro expects me to be there just like he is.ā€ He was waken up from his thoughts when he realized he should already be at the club. He had been heading there whole time but had paused to look out of window that was facing the front gate and all the students, new and old, coming in.

He quickly looked around him seeing he wasnā€™t too far from the Music Room #3 and speed up his walking but didnā€™t run. He wasnā€™t in that much hurry. As he arrived he saw the Prince hurdling over a girl Satoru had never seen before. Perhaps a new guest who couldnā€™t have waited for the club to officially open? He greeted them both and looked at Shigure. ā€œDonā€™t start all the fun without me.ā€ He joked a bit and passed them going into room.

He gazed around and saw others were already gathered around the room, but what he was really looking was Iro. As he noticed him, Satoru headed towards him. ā€œIro, how are you feeling? You look tired. Maybe you should take a nap?ā€ he placed his hand comforting on his shoulder watching him closely. His tone was affectionate as he had always worried for his brother. Of course he had noticed Iro was struggling sometimes, everyone did, but that made him want to help him even more. ā€œI donā€™t want you to fall ill from exhaustion. Even if I wouldnā€™t mind taking care of you for a change.ā€ he spoke softly smiling at his brother.

His first day in the Host Club and Hiroki was already running late. This didn't dampen his spirits in the least, however. He was so overjoyed at the opportunity to get dressed up, that he had spent a little too much time on his makeup (he still was not adept enough to put it on very quickly). He now dashed through Ouran Academy's hallways, wearing his favorite lolita coord in shades of baby pink and white, with white stockings and cute pink flats. When he was close to his destination, he stopped to check his reflection in the window and smooth his hair and dress a bit. He never wore a wig, nor breast form, as his goal was not to pass for a woman. He winked at his reflection and then entered the music room at last. His eyes shone with excitement once he saw all the people inside.

"Hello! My name is Hiroki Tachibana! I can't wait to get to know you all~" He gave a little curtsy and then winked at the room at large in a good natured manner.

"There we are!" I said ecstatically as Toshiko came out of the dressing room, where the few Cosmetologists that the Club had on hand had been making her appear more as a male. They had placed a teensy amount of makeup onto her job, making it appear as though she had a bit of stubble, which might have bit a bit over the top, even in my humblest of opinions, and we'd probably need to scrap that during future gatherings of the Host Club. They also bound her chest to make her appear flat and more masculine; this touch I would likely have them continue in the future, otherwise Toshiko's cover might be blown.

I stood inside of Music Room 3, the rest of the Hosts standing behind me but also around me, in a sort of half-circle, surrounding sort of pattern, all of us ready to welcome our guests for the day. I grabbed the door handles and thrust them towards me, into the room, allowing them to rush open dramatically. "Welcome, ladies, to the Ouran Host Club!" I announced with a large smile painting across my face, motioning back to the other Hosts, who were all standing waiting for their guests with smiles that I'd love to believe were all absolutely genuine, though I knew it was difficult for some to put on their happiest of faces. The Hosts began to take their spots around the room, and I gestured for the ladies to enter the room, extending my arm and bowing slightly, my other arm at my waist; I was quite skilled in being gentlemanly.

Once all of the lovely ladies had entered the room, I shut the doors most of the way, leaving them slightly cracked for anyone who might want to join a bit later, as the Club did go on for quite a bit of time. It did tend to take a good amount of time for us to get to each and every one of our guests. I took my seat on one of the long couches, where a few of my regulars were sitting, waiting for me. "I apologize, my sweet ladies, for making you wait, but a Prince does have his duties," I said, sighing as if I were exasperated, and my guests collectively gave an "Awwww!" while one said "You're so thoughtful!" and another swooned with an "Oh, Shigure! You must be exhausted!" while simultaneously offering me a cup of tea. I sighed in appreciation. "Thank you, ladies, thank you. You're all too terribly sweet!" I took the cup of tea from the one girl's hands, a Second Year by the name of Reina, and clasped her delicate hands within my own. "My sweet Reina, you're too kind," I said softly, my face close to hers. "But, please, my dear, don't cater to me. I, as a Host, am here to serve you." The girls around me squealed with delight as usual when I were to say something to heartfelt and caring.

An unfamiliar face entered the room, though I recognized her as a Second Year by the name of "Ai" from what I could vaguely remember, though I could have sworn she usually kept to herself, so I never would have expected her to show up in a place such as the Host Club, where socializing was a huge part of what went on. I stood, excusing myself politely from my guests, and made my way over to the doors, opening them just a bit as to allow for the quiet, seemingly timid girl to enter. "Welcome to the Host Club, my dear lady. I am Shigure, the Host Club's Prince!" I said enthusiastically, motioning
for her to enter the room, though she seemed to react slightly odd to me introducing myself.

Ichiro stood dumbfounded that this new, foreign girl had fallen prety to the Host Club. They've gotten everyone?! he thought to himself, continually more and more disgusted with the Host Club. "I'm Camila, by the way. I never got your name." Ichiro wasn't even sure if he wanted to give her his name, especially if she was going to be associating herself with the Host Club. He wasn't exactly interested in people who wanted to waste their time on such ridiculous, unnecessary things. "Uh, Ichiro," he said rather dryly. "I can't believe you're just another Host Club airhead." With that, he huffed and turned away, walking the opposite way down the hall.

What an absolute joke... he thought to himself. I need to figure out a way to take down the Host Club once and for all. First I need to figure out who else doesn't like the Host Club... Where to start...?

The doors of Music Room 3 opened before her eyes, and Kyo could feel them sparkling with excitement. Shigure greeted them, motioning for the many ladies to enter, a typical Shigure greeting. Kyo smiled brightly as she passe Shigure, practically making a B-line for Yuki, her favourite host, a cup of peppermint tea in her hands, Yuki's favourite. He was just so adorable, and Kyo couldn't help but make goo-goo eyes at him. He was so sweet and thoughtful, and he was truly a quite wonderful artist. Kyo always wondered how he was so talented. She set the cup down before Yuki, smiling ever-so cheerfully. "What're you sketching today, Yuki?" Kyo asked, her hands under her thighs as she sat on the edge of her seat.

Kyo almost couldn't handle how adorable Yukio looked today, and she realized she was staring again. Ohnonono... I'm staring again! Kyo thought to herself, immediately moving her eyes to look down at her knees, her cheeks flushing and turning pink. Ohnono... Yuki probably thinks I'm such a weirdo! I'm so stupid! Yuki was the one person that could make Kyo feel flustered in any way. She was usually very put together and strong-minded. Two of the main things that drew Kyo to Yuki in the first place was his love of art and cute things. Maybe that's why she felt so odd around him. They had things in common, something she couldn't normally find in a boy.

"Ow.. Ow..." Iro mumbled as all of the women flooded in and he hobbled to his spot in Music Room 3. He sat down with a big sigh and looked as the girls scurried around the room. As the waves came in, he couldn't help but notice some new faces that hadn't been with them last year. Many of them first years, but some were classmates of his. His regulars came over and immediately asked why he was hobbling and in pain. "Well it's kind of a funny story, but you cant tell anyone!" Iro hushed the girls in vain over the incredibly chaotic room and leaned in to tell them the story.

Earlier that day

"Get ready to run!" Iro spoke with intermitten laughs in between while holding a small device. Since it was the beginning of the Host Club's sessions Iro wanted to get things started with a bang.... literally. As against the rules as it was, he had decided to smuggle in a medium sized string of firecrackers attached to a sensor. Iro decided he wanted to mess with some of the Cosmetologist club members as they came in to work on Tosh, so he placed the firecrackers in their makeup bag.

When the time came and the students were next to the bag, Iro carefully pressed the button connected to the sensor. A few seconds went by and.. nothing happened. Iro looked up inquisitively from behind his hidey-hole and started frantically pressing the button. The group of boys walked over to the bag as the students left again to get more supplies to cover Tosh's beautiful face, and make it more manly, and one of the boys opened the bag and picked up the string of firecrackers. "It's a dud!" He laughed and bounced it up and down.

"Put that down you idiot, it may still go off." Iro sneered and looked on in shock as the boy threw the firecrackers to another student in the group. Finally the boys threw the fireworks to Iro and Iro, being the fire safe pyromaniac he is, decided not to catch it. Sadly the crackers hit Iro in the leg and connected a circuit that had become loose and started going off. The explosions wrapped around his leg and burned the pants leg slightly. "Run!" Iro yelled and felt the slight singe on his leg, hobbling off to the Host Club's opening, laughing in tears.

Current

"It didn't go as plan, but it's a good story!" He laughed rubbing his leg a bit and took some sour taffy that one of his guests had made for him. He smiled his kind smile and popped the candy into his mouth, Too sour!! I can't spit it out though! Ah! He smiled and swallowed the candy discretely looking up to the door. Hmm. The crowd's pretty sparse today, I wonder if anyone new will come and see me today?
He smiled a slight smile, with very little hope that anyone new will stumble in those doors just for him.

Some of the girls looked at him questioningly, noticing he wasn't his normal overtly confident self. "Are you okay hon?" One asked and Iro smiled a big, but false, smile taking her hands in his.

"Why wouldn't I be? I'm surrounded by the people I care about!" He laughed as the girls swooned. He knew this was a lie, but he had to keep up the facade of an average "host". They each started talking about their own hobbies, but Iro was lost in thought and was only half listening. Of course, why wouldn't I be..?

Hisashi smiled, silently greeting many of the girls with a gentle smile. He extended a hand, holding out a lavender rose.

"Welcome to the Host Club," his voice was warm. Just like how he had practiced with Morinozuka.

He handed one of the roses to a bright, bubbly girl. She squealed, Hisashi guessing she liked the gesture. He lead the girls towards a table, then grabbing a tea set from the kitchen. He served the three girls, silent as he listened to them talk. Finally, one of the girls asked him a question.

"Hisa-senpai, why don't you talk more? You're always quiet."

Hisashi thought on this a while before speaking, "I like listening to others. If I talk too often, I don't get to hear your voice. And your voice is something I wish to cherish, for who knows when I'll ever hear it again."

The girls, naturally, squealed as they gushed over how honest and kind he was. He chuckled a little to himself, as they seemed to talk about their days. He listened well, Hisashi enjoying the chatter and making sure to let them know he was listening. This was how it was with most of the guests that came to visit with him. Many were kind, one even giving him a small bear keychain to show her appreciation of a good chat. He smiled softly, thinking a bit as the girls giggled and chatted.

I'm thankful for this club. I can make others happy, even when I can't be.

"Excuse me a moment, ladies." He stood and went to Yukio. He pulled out the keychain, thinking it might fit Yukio better. He simply held out his hand, the cutesy keychain perfectly fitting in the palm of his hand.

ā€œWelcome to Host club mā€™ladyā€ Satoru smiled, welcoming the guests just as always. He complimented their hair, eye colour and made jokes, it was routine for him. But in his mind he couldnā€™t but sigh. Even if it was his second year in the club, he couldnā€™t not notice that he was getting very few guests. Even the year before he had lost few of his regulars and now it seemed more of them had switched a host. He couldnā€™t blame the girls though. While he could be very charming and polite at times, there were times when he drifted into his own thoughts and the girls could tell he wasnā€™t really there. He wasnā€™t doing it on purpose, and tried to cover it with sweet words. Oh how many times he had said something along the lines ā€œHow could I not listen you mā€™lady?ā€

As of habit he had taken his spot near Iro. And once again his thoughts were more in him than in the girls. He of course had already found out about the incident with firecrackers and his worry over his brother was causing him to forget his host duties. As Iro had finished the story Satoru couldnā€™t help but lean closer to him. "Didnā€™t I tell you to be more careful. It seems Iā€™ll have to tend you after allā€ he spoke softly and caringly making some of the girls giggle or awww. He heard one of the guests say ā€œYour brother is so caring Iro. I wish I had someone to care for me like that.ā€ Satoru smirked. ā€œI can take care of you miss.ā€ But wasnā€™t sure of the girl was listening him or more interested in Iro.

He was trying to do his best as host but was in and out of his thoughts. The thought of this being his and Iroā€™s last year in high school together kept coming back to his mind. Who knew what would happen after it. "Iā€™m being stupid, I should make this the best year there ever has been. Iro shouldnā€™t have to worry about me. He should enjoy and I shouldnā€™t ruin that.ā€ Satoru closed his eyes for a while and as he opened them, clued a smile back to his face. He returned to his guests. "Now ladies does any of you want to tell stories from your break? I'd love to hear them all." He kept smiling for the girls but in his mind kept telling himself he would be doing his best for his ever so dear brother.

A gasp left Camila's lips at Ichiro's insult. An airhead? Who did this boy think he was?

As she watched Ichiro walk away, Camila let out an exasperated groan. She mentally cursed her parents, especially her mother who was the one who insisted that she attended this specific school and signed her up for Host Club. Camila wouldn't forgive her if the Host Club ended up being a drag-- the last thing she needed was her reputation being destroyed without her even having a say about it. Closing her eyes, she tightened her grip on her notebook and took a deep breath. Don't get ahead of yourself. He could just be rude. It's all going to be fine and you're going to enjoy it.

In that moment, she heard the bell ring. Now she was late and she still had to stop by her locker, which was a little further down the hall.

So, this is how Camila arrived late to her first Host Club meeting. She was usually a punctual person but they didn't have clubs per say in her old school, so it wasn't necessarily out of context for Camila to see it as no big deal to be a little late. Of course, this meant she missed the introduction and how everyone broke into their little groups.

When she finally reached the door, the hall behind her was empty. Camila peeked inside for a brief second before stepping in, her eyes taking in the large room. To someone who had no idea how this was run, the whole spectacle appeared a little chaotic. And immediately, she noticed there was clearly a disproportioned ratio of girls to guys. How odd, not that she wasn't used to being around girls.

Unsure of what to do, she moved over to the nearest circle, where Iro and Satoru were speaking. She was only able to listen to the redhead's last question: "Now ladies does any of you want to tell stories from your break? I'd love to hear them all."

From the back of the small group, Camila looked over at the other girls. What was going on?

Not being one to stay quiet, Camila spoke up. But she wasn't about to tell her story from break. She needed some answers. "Hi. Uh, I'm new. I was just wondering if I needed to sign in somewhere? I really don't know what I'm supposed to be doing, sorry."

Camila heard two or three of the girls giggle; she wasn't sure if it was because of her strong foreign accent -which she would be extremely bothered if that was the reason- or because of her slightly widened eyes and her lost expression.

Iro rolled his eyes at the notion of his brother would tend to him. "Really? Last time you did that we both ended up with the flu for two weeks!" Iro chuckled and put his hand on his brother's shoulder in a reaffirming way. When the giggles finally settled Iro noticed a young lady who looked almost like she was lost.

She spoke in timidly in a heavy Spanish accent, which Iro gave a soft smile. Unfortunately some of the more pretentious girls, as this school was full of them, snickered at the oddity of an accent. Iro's smile turned sour, but as his eyes met the girl's it softened again. "Ā”Hola! ĀæCĆ³mo estĆ”s?" He spoke with heavy Irish accent and smiled as their eyes met and he gave an outstretched hand. "You see I originally spoke English like an Irishman, French like a Belgian, and Japanese like a... well, Japanese person. There's nothing wrong with an accent, I had one for a long time!" He gave her a reassuring look and took her hand, It was soft and very small.

"Why did you have those accents Iro?" One of the guests asked as Iro offered the girl a seat next to him and across from Satoru. "Well when Satoru and I were young we had a nanny that I became very close to, She was a young Irish linguist working for my parents and offered to take care of the two of us when we were young. She and I became very close. So with our time together she taught me a few languages that she had learned over the years." He loved that woman while they were all together, but then she had to move on to continue her career in linguistics. He turned his attention back to his newest guest.

"So are you the new foriegn student that was put here on your third year? I would've expected a year or two ago, but now is a bit difficult!" He laughed and looked down at his feet. For some reason his leg was shaking, he didn't feel the pain, and his heart was pounding. I haven't been like this since my first guest! My very first year, can't believe that was just a few years ago. He smiled a big and strangely genuine smile, as this moment reminded him of one of the greatest moments he had ever experienced, and he frankly didn't know what was causing it.

"So, What's your name Ms. Foreign Student? I am Iro Miyamoto, this is my little brother Satoru, and this is the Host Club!" He motioned around the beautiful room that seemed like utter chaos with people running around. "I can introduce you to anyone and anything here!"

Before she could even take in what she was watching someone grabbed her and pulled her into the room. "Now, tell me, my cute little mouse. What has brought you to our illuuuustrious Host Club, my dear?" Tosh didn't say a word, not that she had a chance to. She wasn't given much time to compose herself before he began ranting and raving about nonsense she had no clue about. You will be our new 'Natural' Type, continuing to follow in Haruhi's footprints and taking her place, though you will never be able to truly replace her, as I don't think anyone really could if I'm going to be honest with you, just as even I will never be able to genuinely take the place of our dearest Prince Tamaki before me!"

What is he talking about? Who's Haruhi? She straightened her glasses. "I don't know what you are talking about. All I know is that this is a host club, whatever that means, and I thought I did a pretty good job with the whole boy thing." Well except the chest part but she figured that could be done before going to her first class. Whoever this was, he seemed pretty excited about this club and wanted her to join. This means there was a spot open and she would be eligible for her scholarship!

So she agreed and was wisked away to help with her boyish looks. They bound her chest and dressed her a little more masculine and even did a tiny makeup stubble, which she didn't like at all. They wanted to cut her hair a bit more but that was a line they couldn't cross. She stepped out for all to see. Before she knew it the room was flooded with squealing and excited girls who seemed to gather around the other 'hosts' drinking tea and eating tiny snacks. She was somewhat glad she'd been ignored and made her way to a table by the window and pulled out a book. No time to waste, studying was a priority and she already knew which classes she had so she got the books in advance.

Her eyes turned to the boy in the front and was surprised to be greeted in Spanish. Camila looked down at the hand and frowned slightly. She wasn't exactly sure what was going on and let out a little welp as she felt her hand being taken and moved to the front. She immediately felt her cheeks redden and cursed at herself. This soft-speaking person was not Camila. And back in her old school, no one would've laughed at her. It felt terrible to start brand new but it seemed that at least this boy was willing to try and make her feel welcomed.

Camila sat silently, listening to the boy as he answered a girl's question. They were all swooning and a quick look around the room showed Camila that they weren't the only ones with that expression. They looked like the girls in her old school whenever they met with the all-boys schools for dances and special occasions. It made Camila want to giggle at the thought, but she held it back, not wanting it to seem like she was laughing at them. She had been one of those girls too at one point before she had met Santiago, and Camila knew that it wouldn't be right to judge them.

Her blue eyes turned back to the boy, who had begun to address her once again. The boy's question couldn't help but sadden her, but his bright smile seemed so sincere that Camila couldn't help but return it. Iro... her eyes turned to the other red-head, who she assumed was Sakuro.

"I'm Cam--" Camila stopped, hearing how soft and weak her voice had come out, like earlier when she asked what she should do. That soft-spoken person wasn't Camila; she always spoke with confidence and loud enough to be heard. Of course, it was hard to feel this confidence in a room full of new people and not back at her school, where she had known most girls since she was around seven. Clearing her throat, she started again, this time her voice more leveled, "I'm Camila. It's nice to meet you all. And yes, this transition was... unexpected. We're actually in the middle of the school year back in Spain."

Her eyes flickered to the other girls for a brief second. "So, what does Host Club do? I thought this was going to be a music club considering the name of the room. I was starting to worry that my mother set me up to play the piano for the chorus or something. It really isn't my forte," she said, ending with a soft chuckle. She did know how to play the piano, but after years of private lessons, it was clear to everyone else except her parents that she was no musical prodigy. So instead of practicing dance and soccer, which were things she was actually good at, Camila had to waste countless hours each month practicing a skill she would never perfect.

Satoru just shook his head with a smile. While it was true he had caused more harm than good, he had at least tried his best. He seemed to relax as Iro wrapped his arm around his shoulders. Before he had time for come back he heard a soft voice. "Hi. Uh, I'm new. I was just wondering if I needed to sign in somewhere? I really don't know what I'm supposed to be doing, sorry."

It was Iro who spoke first and Satoru couldnā€™t not be noticing how different Iro acted from usual. He seemed happy. And not ā€˜Iā€™ll clue smile on my face for the guestsā€™ happy, but more genuine. Something Satoru couldn't remember almost ever seeing. At least not in situation like this. ā€œIf this girl has made him happy I should make sure sheā€™ll became our regulars.ā€ He turned his attention back to the girl. "So, what does Host Club do? I thought this was going to be a music club considering the name of the room. I was starting to worry that my mother set me up to play the piano for the chorus or something. It really isn't my forte,"

ā€œWell my dear, while the sign says music room, this has been long unused. Until Host club came along. Weā€™re here for you and only for you. Itā€™s our pleasure to entertain our guests.ā€ The lines flowed smoothly, it had become a habit. Every time a new guest would come along, heā€™d said almost exactly same words. ā€œNow mā€™lady Camille,ā€ Satoru didnā€™t even realize he was mispronouncing her name as he had been thinking his brothers behaviour instead ā€œdonā€™t worry about your duties, but enjoy some tea.ā€ he smiled at Camila and then turned at Iro. ā€œI think this special occasion needs some sweets also, donā€™t you? Our first guest, with such a lovely accent, from overseasā€ he smirked knowing Iro couldnā€™t resist candy when there was some. The other girls muttered either for not getting attention or more likely, Satorus note of Camila's accent. ā€œNo worries ladies, no worries! I will get some for everyone! While you dear brother can keep them company.ā€ He winked and left. ā€œDonā€™t mess up your chance Iro.ā€

Always with that M'lady crap. Iro laughed a bit, remembering how if anyone else had used that with a normal woman they'd be rejected as fast as possible. Iro had never said anything because it seemed to work, even though the two weren't exactly social butterflies. "Right Camila, that technically is the answer we're supposed to provide you; "We're here for you and only you, it is our pleasure to entertain our guests.. Yada Yada Yada.." Iro laughed rubbing the back of his neck due to him being uncomfortable giving the cookie-cutter answer to any guest. "But I think of it a bit differently. While I believe I am here to serve you, there's a lot of people that ask for my time. So I try to make everyone feel as important and welcome as they possibly can. We provide a service at the cost of time, entertainment, like any other club. It's a really good way for us to come out of our proverbial shells, because if any of you know me outside of the club; I'm just a guy who's willing to treat people decently as often as I can." He chuckled as a few of his regulars nodded in agreement and laughed.

"I think we're all just normal guys, some less so than others," Iro motioned around the room to some of the more eccentric hosts and followed up with, "but I believe that making our guests happy in and out of the club is what we're all about." Iro looked around the room and gave a soft smile, everyone seemed so happy and that was the main purpose of the club. I haven't believed that ideal in years. Hmm, this year sure is starting... different.

Iro then remembered the musical side of the group, however small it was. He looked at his guitars, the piano the room shared, and the various other instruments belonging to the various hosts. "Iro seems to be the only musician in the club that I've seen." A girl remarked causing a few others to giggle.

"No no no. I'm just the one that's... the most diverse." He laughed knowing the Shigure would totally beat him in a battle of fiddles and Hisashi plays the classical Erhu far more competently. "No I don't think I should play right now, maybe toward the end if you all stay that long." He chuckled and gave an apologetic smile to the group for not giving them just what they wanted at that moment. It would be odd to start when the class was this chaotic.

Camila flinched a little when she heard her name being mispronounced. It's not his fault, she told herself, It's a Spanish name, They're not used to them. At least it appeared that he was trying to be nice as well.

Satoru's explanation of the club was still a bit confusing for someone who would've never guessed a club like this existed, but Iro's extension helped Camila understand the club a little more. It sure did seem like a nice way to socialize, but Camila couldn't help but find it odd. She wasn't used to sharing boys, really. She always required that the boy invested his full attention on her and she would do the same. It had been like that with the guys from the all-boys school and obviously with Santiage, who was the only boy Camila had ever considered to be a boyfriend since the boys from the other school would only be allowed to see her once a week at most for a few, heavily supervised hours.

But Camila didn't say anything. It wasn't her place and anyways, she should give the club a sincere try; she could meet great people here and, in her state, she needed to make friends and find her clique.

At least Iro and Sakuto seemed friendly for the moment. Not knowing of the pranks the boys did, however, Camila couldn't help but think that they were rather tame for the social group she was used to having outside of school back in Spain. At the mention of other boys in the Host Club, Camila looked around for a moment and held back a giggle. Yes, there were definitely some flamboyant boys around.

"No I don't think I should play right now, maybe toward the end if you all stay that long."

At the mention of Iro playing an instrument himself, Camila smiled softly at him. "Perhaps I can join you?" she suggested, "I'm no Chopin, but I would love to try out a piece with you."

Camila glanced over to where Satoru had disappeared, "And tea does sound nice. Do you guys have fruit iced tea here in Japan, by any chance?"

Satoru couldn't help but laugh in his mind. It had taken him a bit more time than it should to get the sweets but as he had seen the candy he couldn't help himself to start a little prank. It wasn't a grand major plan. Just more of entertainment for girls.

As Satoru had filled a bowl with some sweets, he had noticed another pack of sour candy back of the drawer. He had taken few of those sour candies and wrapped them into the wrappers from sweeter candy. They weren't exactly alike, but close enough, so he hoped Iro wouldn't notice it. Of course he wasn't planning to let the girls don't eat them. Only for Iro. He hid two fake ones into his hand and headed back.

Once he arrived to Iro and all their quests, he placed the bowl on the side table and seemingly grabbed two candies from it. ā€œSweets for sweet girlsā€ he smirked and opened one of the candies eating it himself as not to make it look suspicious. It wasn't his favourite but kept straight face not to spoil it. He then opened the other sour one and hold it out for Iro. ā€œAnd one for my sweet brother.ā€

He was excited to see if it would work. They didn't usually prank each other but this how ever had been too good chance to pass.
