Name
: Magdalene 'Mag' Neverwinter

A couple of years after moving in with her mother, Rose and Maggot reached a compromise on names, and had her name officially put down as Magdalene, known as Mag or Mags for short. Some people still refer to her as Maggot, which she appears to have no problems with.

Age: 25

Relationship: Single

She had a shortlived relationship with Cyrus Fox, Lyda's nephew during his time at the HQ, though it ended rather un-amicably, with their last interaction involving Mag emptying a cup of coffee over his head and calling him 'a dipstick' before walking out.

Abilities
: Resurrection: Mags is extremely hard to kill. When she sustains a normally fatal injury her circulatory system seems to shut down, however her cells are able to function without oxygen for far longer than those of the average individual. Her body's healing process is considerably accelerated and as a result she can recover from what would be fatal injuries within a few hours. She may still suffer from some effects for several days afterwards, damage to the throat may leave her mute, for example, however she is remarkable in that she suffers no long term effects. If her body is placed somewhere incompatible with life (such as underwater, or buried) then she will not re-animate until her body is moved from there.

Training: Mags is primarily self-taught be her early involvement in the Dogfights. After her re-discovery by her mother, Mag spent some time with the Neverwinters and learned a little about the theory of combat. Following her decision to work for the Delegates, she took a few years of formal training on top of that. Despite this however, Mag's fighting ability is comparatively undisciplined, and not especially elegant...though it's still quite effective. She's not above biting, hair-pulling, or kicking opponents in the crotch...a reason that a lot of the guys can be a bit hesitant to spar with her.

Accumulated Skill Level: 73

Personality: Magdalene is a very laid-back individual. Despite her rather traumatic upbringing, she seems to be quite comfortable with herself. Mag is quite a friendly individual who does her best to get along with her colleagues, and rarely seems to be effected by the sort of things she runs into.

Thanks to the time she spent with her mother, Mag has a pretty liberal attitude to things, and it's rare to find anything that offends her. She tended to be the first to claim to have seen nothing when the younger members snuck out. This does tend to be underpinned however with a sense of self-sufficiency and practicality. Mag likes a party, but not to the point that she'd engage in anything seriously self-destructive, or let anyone else do it either.

All that Magdalene does is driven by a certain anarchistic undercurrent to her personality. She loves to take on authority, and it seems to be something she takes on in her career with great enthusiasm. The more powerful the target, the greater the satisfaction she gets from dealing with them. Mag loves to stand up for the underdog, having been one herself. This sort of anti-establishment streak sends to set her at odds with the Neverwinter family proper, who thrive on rules. She was banned from the house after an argument resulted in her vandalizing a statue of one of the previous berserkrs in the courtyard by gluing a bra and clown nose onto it with permanent adhesive.

Understandably, this tendency can sometimes get Mag into trouble. She can sometimes push her luck a little too much with those who outrank her, or take orders more as suggestions, something that can frustrate others. She is a notoriously terrible timekeeper and seems to be at least half an hour late for anything she is called to unless literally dragged there.

Having been a little older than most of the Delegate kids, Mag was not their peer as such, though had plenty of interaction with them as they were growing up, and has a degree of affection for them.

Flaws:

Fear of Wolves, Changing Aversion. While Mag doesn't appear too badly effected by the events of her childhood, she has retained an instinctive fear of wolves, dogs, and general canids. She can't help it. She tends to lock up when presented with an angry dog and can't stop herself. Due to this, Mag hardly ever takes wolf form. Hardly anyone even knows what she looks like as a wolf. She struggles to be around other werewolves in wolf form, even though she knows there's little actual threat from them.

Political standing and likability
: 5

Likability: 3

Mag tends to be pretty good with people and easy to speak to, however her dislike of formality and her anarchistic tendencies mean that she can upset more traditional individuals, as a result she doesn't always come across well politically.

Birthright: 2

While Magdalene is technically a Neverwinter, she is quite removed from the powerful part of the family, being very much on periphery and practically unheard of in any of the powerful circles. This suits her well enough as it makes her work a lot easier.

History: Mags was born, technically stillborn, to Roselyn Neverwinter. Rose had, at the time, been engaged in a lifestyle of drinking, drugs and partying, and had not realized that she was pregnant until it was too late. Rose had hoped that the child would survive, but when she showed no signs of life, her mother had her buried. This didn't end there however. Not long after, she was dug up by the Resurrectionist clan, who use bones and such in clan badges and initiation challenges. Those who dug her up were shocked initially to find she had not decomposed at all...and even more shocked when the child suddenly started crying.

The resurrected child was passed around a bit, before eventually being sold to Zachary Wright, the manager of The Dogfights, who saw the appeal in someone who could cheat death. She endured a pretty traumatic childhood at the fights. The owners had little concern for her wellbeing, and threw her into the ring as soon as she as old enough to run. She died more times than she could count in numerous grisly ways before she started to make any sort of headway. Eventually she started using her comparative small size to her advantage, and started to get half decent at fighting. It was around that point that she gained the name 'Maggot.'

Her life changed when Arucan's team staged a raid on the Dogfights. The owners were arrested, and Mag was taken into Delegate custody. It was at that point that she first regained contact with her mother. Her initial interactions with Rose were rather awkward. Mag had never really had a parental figure before, and seemed a little bemused by the attention directed at her. After a couple of weeks, things seemed to level out a little bit. Rose accepted Mag's independent nature and decided not to condescend to her. They managed to bond a bit more and struck up something that was probably a bit closer to a friendship than a mother-daughter relationship, but it seemed to suit them both perfectly well.

Mag grew up from that point in a rather relaxed household. Rose moved them both into Karina Neverwinter's old house, not wanting to stay with the 'nazi side of the family'. Her mother had plenty of boyfriends, and girlfriends, and parties. Her mother never put Mag's welfare at risk in her actions, but the girl soon learned that there were few things she could do that'd shock Rose. As an adolescent she tried testing her boundaries, but discovered that Rose seemed almost unconditionally accepting, so long as she wasn't endangering herself. As a result, Mag had a great deal of freedom, though her self-sufficiency meant she never got herself into too much trouble. Rose and Mag were quite frequent visitors to the HQ, and she spent plenty of time with Kora, Grant, Hunter and Helena during her teenage years.

As the werewolf got older she began to take a great deal of interest in Delegate work, and approached Midnight about it. She explained that her wish to contribute came from her own experience. The Delegates was instrumental in improving her previously miserable life, and she wanted the opportunity to improve the lives of others, and bust others like Zachary and Mia that took advantage of people.

She went through training remarkably easily, and began working as an active operative several years previously. She specialized in sting operations. Mag's power lent itself extremely well to such a thing. She learned at an early age how to blend in and speak to others, and has been able to get into numerous organizations and gather evidence of crimes....often including murdering her. The work keeps her away from HQ for long periods, but she appears to get a great deal of satisfaction out of it. She seems to be quite well adjusted to life at HQ, though has little interest in the more formal areas of the job.

So begins...
