When entering battle Kora is capable of manipulating her own brain chemistry to cuase her to go into a sort of berserker rage that effects both her human and wolf form. In this mode she is unnaturally strong and resilient, being entirely insensitive to pain at the expense of being incapable of retreating due to the blind rage the accompanies this state. This change with the bump up of her energy manipulation causes blood vessels to burst in her eyes, making them appear red.
Energy Manipulation
Kora is able to turn the glucose in her blood into various other forms of energy through adapted cells in her hands, such as heat, light, sound, or EMP. Generally she can only process a small amount at once, but when in a Rage state she can channel huge amounts of it at once, creating enormous waves of heat and kinetic force that can scatter enemies or cause terrible burns to people caught up in it. The downside of this is that is eats up all of Kora's blood sugar, and after snapping out of her rage she can suffer the effects of hypoglycaemia, ranging from moodiness and a headache, to far more serious symptoms like fainting or seizures, depending on the duration of the power usuage. She usually carries several candy bars around with her for easy access to sugar.
Personality: Kora is a little difficult to get along with initially. She's rather arrogant and caustic, and has a tendency to push into situations without thinking. She has very much a 'might is right' attitude to authority, and is happy to follow a person so long as they can prove themselves her superior. When she does respect someone however, she is very loyal, and extremely brabv,e happy to put her life on the line for the cause.
She has some considerable anger issues, and is very easily provoked into a fight, even if it's one she's not likely to win.
History: Kora comes from a very long line of delegates. It's been a family occupation almost since the founding of the Northern Delegates, and the Neverwinters have almost exlcusively taken field jobs since that time, generally in combat roles. Every Neverwinter in the line has died comparatively young, but not before donating a child to join the ranks. Kora was the eldest child of Renard Neverwinter, a well-respected team leader. He had two children with his wife Karina, Kora, and a son, Peregrine. Generally, the male Neverwinter would take the spot as one of the delegate field teams, but Peregine was a sickly child, unable to pass the selection process, and Kora was taken in his place.
She was trained by the delegates and quickly proved to be an able...if rather overeager fighter. Her abilities showed themselves at a young age, proving a useful asset...if rather lacking in the subtlety needed for many missions. She was well aware of her heritage and grew a little arrogant with it, often bullying her weaker brother. She was assigned to Arucan's team and really enjoyed the work, perhaps a little too much.
Her father was killed in action a few years before, something Kora had been brother up to expect, and so it didn't cause a great deal of grief, but did make her more focused and determined, adding a depth of maturity to her actions...though not enough to curb her temper.
She's sided with Arucan on his objections to Midnight's new order, not necessarily out of her own views, but rather out of loyalty to her team leader.
