⌈Physical Description⌋
As one might expect of someone of his profession, Yuuji has a slimmer body more suited for agile maneuvers than anything else. At a height of 5'8, he doesn't stand out much in crowd (which is typically preferable). Because a lot of his skills require him to be in the dark (literally), he prefers darker colors, as you might expect. Anything from a dark blue, dark gray, or black outright will likely be in his wardrobe, though he can be seen wearing suits from time to time. Perhaps some might consider his dark blue hair to be suited for his jobs, and his eyes, a light brown, aren't much different. He certainly fits into the shadows quite well.

⌈"Fear is the most common emotion targets feel, if I am to reveal myself before they perish. Otherwise, it's blissful ignorance. But there's always the possibility of something new. I wonder what expression you'll make?"⌋

⌈Potential Interest⌋
He's developed quite the interest in his supposed target. However, it's certainly not romantic at the time.

⌈Skills
⌋
âœĻ High Physicality || Yuuji is fit to the point where his abilities may even seem inhuman at times. He has above average speed, reflexes, instincts, strength, stamina and agility, all honed for the purpose of killing.
âœĻ Melee Combat || Preferring to get up and close rather than to eliminate people from a distance, Yuuji excels at close-quarters-combat, especially with knives. He's knowledgeable in quite a few different martial arts, as well as wrestling. With that being said, he is perfectly capable of handling a gun or the sort, but certainly not to a notable degree, so he avoids it.
âœĻ Stealth || Yuuji has a knack for disappearing, becoming a ghost, and then reappearing only when he has an assured strike on an opponent. He is at his best when he can make use of shadows to land a critical strike on his prey.
âœĻ Resilience || Endure. Yuuji isn't one to be so easily broken, having a high tolerance to all kinds of pain or torture, be they physical or mental. If you aren't doing all in your power, you won't beat him. Usually even then.
âœĻ Quick Learner || Most commonly seen in his classes, actually, Yuuji tends to pick up on things a lot quicker than your average fellow. However, this also has combat uses. What doesn't kill him does make him stronger, and it's safe to say the same tricks won't work on him twice, once he figures them out.
âœĻ Assassinate || Assassinate is an assassin skill.

⌈Weapon⌋
✔ Blades || His signature and most trusted weapon is anything sharp, particularly knives. He's capable of quickly dispatching multiple people at once, accurately throwing blades (albeit much less so than a certain assassin) and swapping hands mid-fight, or duel wielding them. It's very unwise to take him on if he can use one.
✔ Fists || Even without a weapon, it certainly wouldn't be wise to approach Yuuji without a clear advantage. He has, after all, been fighting without a blade longer than he has with one.
✔ Shadows || Even against the odds, it's hard to kill something you can't see, and when given the chance, you won't see Yuuji coming. He's more or less made it a trait of his to eliminate multiple targets in succession before they even realize they're being hunted.

⌈"I don't waste my time, if that's what you're asking. If I'm not working, I'm exercising."⌋

⌈Other⌋
Any other important information

⌈Habits
⌋
❖ Resting || When nothing is needed of him, he tries to conserve his strength by taking light naps.
❖ Teasing || Subtle, or even blatant, Yuuji certainly isn't completely unapproachable, and that girl he has his eyes on certainly gets the most of it.
❖ Exercise || Demanding respect from fellow assassins isn't something you just get. You have to earn it. He keeps himself in perfect shape often, so that his body does what he wants it to when he wants it to.

⌈Likes⌋
â™Ĩ Blades || Just the feel of them tearing through flesh, or possibly how the glint in the moonlight just before they paint the world in blood. Yuuji has his own personal blades, customized for optimal comfort (and efficiency).
â™Ĩ Darkness || As you might figure, he's comfortable in the dark, where he's at his best.
â™Ĩ Strawberries || Though he isn't typically picky about what he eats, he does enjoy strawberries immensely. He might like them a bit too much...
â™Ĩ Winning || Being successful, whether in a contest or in a contract, is a delightful experience.
â™Ĩ Toying Around || Yuuji is not the most sane person in town. For the Target, this remains simply teasing her, but for injured prey...

⌈Dislikes⌋
✘ Poison || Perhaps one of the more impersonal ways to kill someone. There's no recoil, no feeling of blade through flesh, just seeing that your target dies in a very unsatisfying way. He abstains from any use of poison. But it's not unheard of for him to use laxatives to force a target into more suitable location.
✘ Bright Light || Yuuji isn't a vampire, so he won't explode if introduced to some sunlight. However, that doesn't mean he likes it. He'll take the seat away from the windows, thank you.
✘ Losing || Because losing means death in most cases for him, he certainly isn't the most sportsmanlike person. He puts all his effort into even the most odd things if it'll grant him victory.
✘ Sweet Potatoes || Although he usually eats everything, he just can't stand them. He might be stubborn to the point of starvation even, but the odds of that happening are slim, thankfully.

⌈Strengths⌋
âœĒ Perceptive || Yuuji doesn't let anything by his eyes or ears, like any good assassin would do. Watching your mouth around him is a good idea.
âœĒ Ninja || Again, you won't see Yuuji coming if he doesn't want you to.
âœĒ Combat || He's not inexperienced when it comes to facing off against another person sharing his profession, so his actual abilities when it comes down to fighting make fair fights a bad choice. Then again, what kind of assassin worth his salt fights fairly?

⌈Weaknesses⌋
⌘ Tech || Torai's perfectly capable of using a computer, but not hacking into it. He'd only ever be able to gather public information on a target by himself if he wants to use any electronics.
⌘ Ranged Fighting || His use of firearms are more or less limited to handguns and assault rifles, and while they may be above average, that much is expected of any assassin claiming they're anything decent. But since he doesn't care much for that way of fighting, he's obviously at a disadvantage when he has to fight someone at range, or someone can keep him away.
⌘ Optimists || Yuuji really can't stand optimists at all. They're ignorant and annoying, but most of all, they remind him of one of his sisters, which hurts him more than anything. Likely a reason why he's been protective over a certain Target of his.
⌘ Hallucinations || Seeing dead people isn't a sign of a healthy mind. They're only the beginning of a mental disease.

⌈"I prefer to get up close and personal, but guns always have their uses from time to time."⌋

⌈Personality⌋
Cold | Selfish | Sadistic | Schizophrenic

When one first gets to know Yuuji, he appears as you might expect; cold and distant. His social interactions are kept to a bare minimum (if that) and his attitude is never quite pleasant. He seems to think only of himself and would not go out of his way to help someone else unless he had some ulterior motive for doing so, so he couldn't be called generous anytime soon. He never really acts... unique, or unpredictable, which might leave his fellow assassins shaking their heads, wondering why he'd be so special, so noteworthy. Of course, people don't underestimate him after hearing about some of his feats, a general outline of his past, or maybe even seeing his craft in works when he's given a target to kill while under surveillance. Those with a keen eye might catch a glimpse of the 'true Yuuji', who only ever appears when he's delighted. When is he delighted? Well, when he's in the midst of killing, of course! A wicked grin or smile plasters his face when he's stabbing, punching, gutting, choking, maiming, gouging, or otherwise obliterating his target. He really makes death look fun. Plus, it doesn't help that he's recently begun talking to himself (though only in private) to his dead siblings. In fact, his whole reason for joining this game was because these voices managed to coax him into blaming Lancaster for his father's death and thereby his siblings as well..

Yuuji is not insane, at least not entirely. He's capable of conversation with people if he chooses to (social skills are often required to get to those more defended contracts), he's never messed up his contracts -- they die, and if there's a way that he's ordered to kill them, then they die that particular way -- and he does not involve anyone but the target. He's... capable of appearing to be quite the normal human being, if a bit eccentric on some occasions. His pleasure in murdering, in killing really stems from how he was raised. When you're supposed to be a serial killer with a flashy title and a perfect record, well, you don't have much time for anything but killing, do you? So if you want to compare his enjoyment of carnage and whatnot to something, consider it a form of entertainment, because he's yet to find (not that he's had the time to really look) anything else that can bring him joy.

Perhaps the most rare trait seen in Yuuji is his possessiveness. He isn't one to care much for material items, save his knives, yet most of the people he meets he either has to kill or kill for, so this doesn't come to light often. But once he gets attached to somebody, he has a real hard time letting them go. This person, whom he picks, is his own item and will be treated as such, whether they want to or not. They're victims of a more playful side of Yuuji, which might be enjoyable to see despite his cold exterior, but at the same time, it's not the most pleasant thing in the world either. But, while he may tease them and treat them fairly unpoorly (in contrast to just treating everyone like dirt), he's very protective of them, to the point where any harmful actions towards his Target (which is currently The Target), warrant anger or retaliation from him. Basically, they're under protection and attack from the same person, until he grows bored with them.

And you don't want him to grow bored of you...

⌈"I don't normally kill people outside of contract, but the more you push this subject, the more the thought sounds tempting..."⌋

⌈History⌋
Yuuji Torai is the youngest and only remaining heir to the Torai family, a syndicate that specializes in producing assassins capable of taking out even the most well-guarded of individuals, for a high price, of course. While they were perhaps the least influential and smallest of the three factions controlling the criminal underworld, as it were, to assume they were weak was a fatal mistake. For it was only with the Torai would you see men who, despite outnumbered or outgunned, could not only rise out on top, but do it flawlessly most of the time. And anyone who was targeted by a Torai assassin was never able to escape. The family prided itself heavily on this, it's one strength that could not be contested by any of its fellow households. Because of this, the children of the head of the Torai family, Kenichi Torai, made his own sons and daughters into assassins of the highest caliber. Yuuji's training as a human deathmachine began no later than the age of four, where he began harsher training that wouldn't suit a child.

But things in life never really were too hard to bear, because Yuuji had his two sisters and his brother to look up to. His father was never there for him and his mother was gone with him, but that didn't bother him when Kenji, his brother, would show him all sorts of tricks. All siblings in the family at the time preferred some sort of blade to do their work, and while Yuuji was never quite sure what he was training for until much later, his siblings never treated him horribly. Kenji taught Yuuji the basics of how to hold, swing, and conceal a knife, while his sisters, Sachi and Usumi both played with him. "Played" is probably not the best word to describe it though. He felt more like he was being beaten up for their amusement, and that was probably the case, but even still, he harbored no ill feelings towards any of his siblings. And he learned that when he was older, he could even ask for different weapons to play with. After all, Sachi preferred to use an actual sword to practice for fun (games weren't really an option for any of the siblings, you see) and Usumi had her spear. Kenji just used a knife that he had personally crafted for himself, whereas Yuuji simply learned how to fight with his hands and never really thought much about anything else. So, as though it was not really the most normal lifestyle, Yuuji grew up never thinking life could get more pleasant.

Then, of course, came his tenth birthday.

The party was fun, if he remembers correctly. They had a big cake, his siblings were all there, but father wasn't since he was busy. It was on birthdays that they weren't forced to do anything and would just relax. But even then, they weren't even aware there was other things to do besides train or play with a weapon, so that privilege ended up not being needed or useful. They relaxed, ate cake, enjoyed life and then, after all that was done, they received news about their father's death (mother had 'left' a bit ago) due to stress. In all honesty, Yuuji really felt nothing intense when he heard the news. Father was never home and they never were able to really bond, so it wasn't like he'd lost someone important to him. The news that really got him was that his father left four heirs to his throne and that needed to be lowered to one. What better way than to have a death match between all the siblings, right? Well, apparently Yuuji was the only one who wasn't aware this was bound to happen because instead of shock or surpirise on his siblings' faces, they wore pained expressions, as if they were aware of this the entire time. The fight wasn't scheduled the day after his birthday, so the next two weeks were the most awkward of his life, training with people he was supposed to be fighting to the death soon. But still, his siblings always treated him the same, smiled for him, encouraged him and helped him become stronger, even if that was just going to be wasted or used to kill them later. When he remembers them smiling hollowly at him during those weeks, his insides twist inside out.

When their two weeks were up, they were given the location of the deathmatch. It was their own home. Reasons were simple enough; Nobody had the advantage here and it was private, easy enough to clean up. Their home was big enough to support a few different families, a gym, multiple bedrooms, and bathrooms, plus their dining room was huge. Outside, they had a forest that was to be the border of the fight. So, with the audible bang from a gun, the fight to the death began.... and that's where Yuuji's memory fades.

Image
Yuuji, traumatized after the events of the death match (Age: 10)

When all was said and done, Yuuji had somehow come out on top, but he'd never felt so down before. With the blood of the only people he had real connections to dead by his own hands, his future was decided. Perhaps in a last ditch attempt to keep the memories of his siblings alive, he carved parts of them into himself. He began using knives as his main form of fighting and even took his brother's favorite blade, since he his sisters never really had a unique weapon they cherished, he instead forced himself to enjoy strawberries more than normal and took to shadows to remember one sister, and refused to eat sweet potatoes and enjoyed his job to remember the other, as those two things held the most fond memories he had of both of them. After he had done that, he swore to himself that his life would be dedicated to becoming the best assassin there was, so that their deaths weren't in vain. He immediately set out on that path, first requesting that he be taught everything he possibly could about killing with blades.

Eventually, years later, he earned quite the name for himself. Enough so that there were even other assassins paid to get rid of him, since he was quite efficient and had taken some of the higher-paying jobs to himself. Since he's still here today, you can probably guess what happened to those sent. Either way, be it fear or respect, his name came to be known, and he couldn't be happier unless his siblings were right here with him. And then one day, they were. The weight of guilt on the man perhaps was just too much, or maybe he was long overdue for falling off the deep end, but regardless, he started hallucinating. Like any rational person, he first shrugged it off and attempted to get some more sleep, but when they never went away, he accepted the fact he wasn't right in the head and sometimes had conversations with them.

Image
Yuuji's 'reunion' with Sachi and Usumi, the first sign of mental deterioration (Age:16)

His sibling's reappearance did nothing to his perfect record, though it was hard adjusting to life with voices constantly in your head. Obviously, he never told anybody about them, for who would hire and assassin who might be mentally ill? There'd be no reason not to just send some serial killer to a contract's house and let him run loose, would there? So, for a year he continued to do his job of killing until the voices started telling him odd things. Stuff like "It's Lancaster's fault father died, and us as well". Things that might not have made much sense to Yuuji if he were still sane. But eventually, he ended up believing his deceased siblings. If the Brits never pressured the other families, maybe father wouldn't have been so stressed that he had a stroke. Then maybe he wouldn't have had to kill his family. Then maybe he could have still had some fun....

That became enough reason for Yuuji to take interest in this game. While the game may have started as easily as the Lancasters expected, it certainly won't end that way.
