Sebastian is the sort of individual who takes each day as it comes, moving through life with no real purpose but subsequently no real motivation to do something with any meaning, much to the dismay of his family. Despite this, others would describe him mainly as a sensible, laidback character. He always seems to be able to keep his emotions in check, though of course he has his moments, as all people do. It's rare that he would lose his temper, or become anything above visibly irritated. He is sensitive to other people's emotions, though his tendencies to be very blunt with his words would not indicate as much. He's a smart kid, he puts a lot of thought into his actions and displays an ability to understand (and accept) the consequences that follow them.
Sebastian was raised to be friendly and polite to the people who deserve such things from him, and to avoid the company of those who do not. As such, he's a nice guy around friends, family and even acquaintances, but in his own mind he has little time for idiots and jerks. So you can imagine how glad he was to find out he'd be spending his future time with a hundred "delinquents" from the Ark. Going back on a previous point, it is generally understood that if Sebastian chooses to be around someone, he would willingly devote his entire time and attention to that person for as long as they'd need him. He's a very reliable person, and seems to always be there for the people he cares about. Provided they deserve it, he would lay down his life for them.
As previously stated, Sebastian can be rather blunt with how he chooses to word his advice. While he truly means well and can understand the emotions of others, he's perhaps too truthful for his own good. He'll tell someone like it is, whether that helps them or hurts them more for a time. In short, he uses "tough love" methods with regards to other people's problems, no matter who they are.
Sebastian is an approachable individual most of the time. Though he usually has a fixed expression of boredom or deep thoughtfulness, he is - as previously mentioned - a very friendly person and enjoys engaging in conversation with the people around him. However, when he's not talking to others, Sebastian looks quite distant, like he has a million different things going on in his mind or he has the weight of the entire world resting on his shoulders. He rarely speaks of his own problems to others, making him seem withdrawn with regards to his emotions or thoughts. It's simply a case of not wishing to burden others with his troubles, whatever they might be at the time, and instead wishing to focus solely on them. As such, most of his friendships become fairly one-sided.
