Personality: Kuro is a difficult person to get along with. Arrogant, sharp-tongued, and highly intelligent, he rarely has what might be called a civil conversation. He can be vicious, when he comes to picking people out, and is not ashamed to point out people's flaws. He generally doesn't like to talk to people very much. Of course, all that changes when he enters the Host Club. A brilliant business-man, he is all wit and charm when it comes to the ladies. This does not stop him, of course, from making sarcastic remarks and throwing glares around to the hosts. It is very difficult to uncover the softer side of Kuro, as he hates it with a burning passion. One of the things which can bring out that other side is home-cooking. Served throughout his life, he has a soft spot for all things home-made.

Likes: Kuro doesn't admit to liking most of the things he likes in the world. First and foremost are those he considers friends; namely, the Host Club. Of course, his friends are the ones he treats the worst. Easier to see on a daily basis is Kuro's love for home-made things; from food to hand-knitted scarves and mittens. He also has a secret adoration for small, fluffy animals, especially cats, and for horses. He admires their grace and power. By far the easiest to spot is his love for books; his walls are made entirely of bookshelves, and if he has a free moment, which doesn't happen often, he will simply open a book and start reading. Most of these books are history stories; historical fiction and text books, both. He loves history. He does have a secret section, however, of novels which are read purely for fun.

Dislikes: Kuro hates noise and rowdiness. He also despises fools. If he doesn't like something, he will just turn and walk away, or take out a book. So, naturally, if he's actually bothering to glare at you, or hand off a snide comment, it means he cares about you.

Skills: Kuro, in short, is a genius. Capable of manipulating math in his head in a matter of seconds, on almost any grade level, he is perfect for keeping the finances of the club in check. He can quickly think his way through any situation, a master at chess and other strategy games. He is also remarkably perceptive of other peoples' moods, strengths, and weakness. In spite of all appearances, he is a people-person.

Weaknesses: Though he is completely brilliant, and very good with people when he wants to be, Kuro can't stand to let anyone in. If someone tries to get in, he simply shuts down, either walking away or ceasing to talk or respond in any way. No one has ever succeeded in getting him all the way out of his shell.
Slightly less serious, Kuro loves chocolate. A lot. And small, fluffy animals, as was mentioned before.

Contribution: Kuro is what might be called the club manager. He does the budgeting, but that only takes up a little bit of his time. He hosts sometimes, though only very rarely. His main job is to hover, and to watch. He makes sure every table has enough tea and cakes, ensures that neither host or guest are ever left alone. If a host needs to step out for a moment, Kuro will step in for them. He is the one who analyzes various guests, and has a habit of sending someone with the guest's preferred cake or tea, even before they have asked for it.

History: Kuro was born into a very wealthy family of entrepreneurs. The family runs several prestigious colleges and private schools, off which they make most of their money. They also have their hands dipped into various stocks and other such affairs. Raised in this family, Kuro is expected to be as brilliant a business-man as his father, and as good at social interaction as his mother and older sister, Yariko. He has always risen to these expectations, and has learned to disdain those who do not. His father is quite proud of him, and as the heir to the family, his future seems secure. Except that Kuro secretly wishes he could be something else; someone who makes their own food, maybe even their own clothes. Someone who cooks and cleans and works for themselves, rather than surviving off wealth accumulated in what may not be the most honest fashion.

Crush: He would never admit it, but "the genius" is rather... intriguing to him.
