Subordinates cave

Shadow bent his head down and went back to his normal pose. 'Prepare the subordinate cave. What do I need to do for that?' He asked himself. "Hey, pip right? Do you know what we need to do to prepare the caves?" Shadow was walking to said caves hoping that Pip knew how to set up sleeping quarters. Shadow cared not about sleeping on cave floors, but many other wolves did care. Shadow was using some glowing mushrooms that he found was safe to have to light up the place. The mushrooms light was dim, but it offered enough light for the two wolves to see the walls.

Pip glanced around before going outside to drag several leaf and pine covered branches off the ground and into the cave. She had to make several trips as she kept finding more and more. Finally after she had dragged in a big pile of them she turned to Shadow.

"If we arrange these to cover most of the floor, then we won't feel the cold so much. Try to get the branches to cover mostly in the farther areas of the cave, the opening will have the most wind and cold so the back areas will be warmer. You will need lots more than this so I'm going to keep finding more." She wagged her tail slightly and then ran back out to find more branches.

"Ok." Shadow said to Pip. He now went about spreading the leaves and branches, almost making a weave out of them. In between when Pip got the sticks and Shadow waited; he started to set up more of the glowing mushrooms. It was nearly two hours before the duo was done. Shadow then turned over to look at Pip. "You hungry, I am going to go and hunt for a bit. Do you want me to get something for you?" By this time, Shadow was more than comfortable around Pip. Though he still stood with his back low and his tail lower; he didn't shake or shiver, and his voice was steady.

Pip shook her head and went to lie at the entrance to the cave. She was tired from the walk to find these wolves and wanted to rest for a bit. "You go eat, you did a good job on the cave. I'm just going to rest here." Pip turned her eyes to watch the white woods around the area.

All the way back to the cave, Shadow pushed as hard as his tiny, almost puppy sized, body could. This Elliot was like all the other normal sized wolves, at least twice the size of Shadow. However, Shadow was surprisingly strong for his size, and almost 2/3 of Elliot's strength. The small, shy wolf could be described as a small and fluffy ball of muscle. While Shadow and Elliot were dragging the deer back to the cave, this became quite evident. Now back that he was back in the cave, Shadow traveled to the deeper sleeping quarters. He then fell in one of the sleeping areas that he had helped to build. Now on his side sleeping with his fur held down by the remaining snow, his raw muscle showed through his thick winter coat.

Pip was worried when shadow came back looking like he did.she walked slowly over to him and whined. she had heard a bunch of howling but hoped that no one had been hurt. she laid down next to where he was sleeping and waited for him to wake up to see if hewas ok.

After about an hour, Shadow awoke to see that Pip was laying near him. "Hello Pip." Spoke Shadow, with a definite sound that he had just woken up. Still in his half asleep fog, Shadow asked "Anyone else come back yet?" He then rolled onto his belly and looked at Pip. Shadow's eyes were still slightly cloudy, and the snow had melted off of his fur, which was back in its normal position.
