DuskThe shadows around her adjusted, and she could see a hollow version of Matt's face came into view. She recoiled slightly remembering the creature in the forest using Matt's face to do his damage.
"Amp and blast not here....."
The figure smiled. The suspicion melted. The figure in the forest could not hold warmth in it's eyes- wait! She had seen Amp/Blast here, in the lab.
"They are with me Dusk. Do not be sorry for what couldn't really be avoided, okay? I don't have much time, I'm pretty spent right now, so listen carefully. Amp is alive, and safe. I need you to find Kyra, Nudge and Faith if you can...He's not being tortured, though we had also been caught. There's another place after our kind....we're safe now, just hang on for a while longer alright?"
"But I saw himā¦" her voice trailed off "They had him, I remember. Carmine promised she'd have him beaten-" she choked slightly "...straight after I had been tortur-"
Her eyes immediately slammed shut, trying to re-collect her thoughts. Her mind instantly blocked off the thoughts of what Carmine had done...if she recalled it her mind would snap, it was too close to doing so already. It took a few seconds for her mind to truly lock the memories away for a while. Each painful memory temporarily kept at bay. Her face contorted slightly as each thought was flashed before her unconscious mind, her conscious side being shielded from the memories. Finally her eyes flew open.
"Another place" her voice came out as a whisper, her previous sentence forgotten. "I can't find the others, I can't get out"
Her mind carefully shied away from mentioning who the others were. Due to her enhanced emotional gifts, her mind had managed to find a temporary solution to the painful visions she'd left behind- slamming them into her sub-conscious. It had temporarily kept them at bay, though certain trigger points were bound to break open the hastily stashed memories.
"Matt?" she gently reached out to touch 'his' face. "Don't take too long. Please. I don't know how longā¦"
Her voice trailed off uncertainly, her face contorted in confusion as though she'd forgotten what she was going to say. Her eyes suddenly changed, confusion transforming into fear. She could feel something was wrong within her mind, though she was unable to recall what. This terrified her more then she could say, the deep emotion was etched into her eyes.
"Don't let them break me"
