Camelion

He was surprised when the girl actually answered with the name Elle. "A pretty name.... Most down here aren't so lucky...They must've liked you if they gave you such a pretty name." He tilted his head slightly,"But you didn't answer my first question. As you can tell, I am different as well. Perhaps I could work something out for you. Why are you, such a pretty girl, down here with the monsters?" He kept his voice quiet, not quite seductive as he moved closer to the bars.

Matt
Matt watched Ash as she was helped into a very soft looking outfit of a dusty blue, and smiled a little. Once she was away from the stream of water she was a little more trusting. Still extremely tense, cautious, but she wasn't screaming in terror anymore. He turned around once she was curled up on the couch, feet under her, and knocked on the bathroom door. "Amp, it's Matt. YOu alright?"

Kyra
The animal, the beast inside her roared to life when the Healer stuck a needle in her leg. She could feel a cool sensation in the bottom of her stomach and it was growing very quickly. Kyra snarled the black in her eyes that was contained before, was now taking control, and in no way in hell would it be contained again. She turned to the Healer and backhanded the human to the far side of the room. She was keeping a small control over how much power she had behind her arm and it was alot to cause the Healer pain, but not break the jaw or snap the neck. Kyra was on the hunt, and she was going to take every pleasure she could in causing the human pain.

The instincts to hunt and the beast were keeping the sedative from doing it's job correctly and Kyra's blood was starting to break down the drug, so it would take awhile for the drug to actually affect her. Kyra morphed into her tiger shape and purred as she went into a crouch. It had been quite some time since she last ate or hunted a living creature, and it was a bit of a relief to be in her animal form, to release the monster the lab created.

Elle

"A pretty name.... Most down here aren't so lucky...They must've liked you if they gave you such a pretty name." There was that voice again. But the words took her by surprise. After all, who would suspect you would get a compliment in a place like this? "But you didn't answer my first question. As you can tell, I am different as well. Perhaps I could work something out for you. Why are you, such a pretty girl, down here with the monsters?" He took a step forward, and she took a step back. After all, you can't trust everyone. But did he say something about getting her out of here? Intriguing... But there was that question again... "The guards always say something about a fox." Her voice was once again quiet. No matter how much she wanted to, she couldn't make her voice as loud and bold as his. Oh well.

Amp

He liked the warm water; he didn’t care if Blast was untrusting of it, which is probably why he got them in more pain than Blast did when he was in control. He was also curious about the smells that were coming from outside the door, he didn’t know what it was but it was nice, and he wanted to go over and see what it was. ”Go see what it is….? Please….?” He still didn’t have the strength to even attempt to take control.

Blast

He frowned a little at Amp’s comment. ”No….not yet….” He whispered, not even realizing he was speaking out loud. He was looking around the room, looking for anything that wasn’t in plain sight, listening for any type of machines that would trap him somewhere. He heard the footsteps and spun around quickly at the older boy. ”Amp, you okay?” He frowned a little, why did everyone assume Amp was always in control. He wasn’t just a voice Amp heard all the time. ”Amp’s fine…I’m just….checking things…” He went back to glancing around the room, still listening for things he couldn’t quite hear.

He chuckled, ”Of course I won’t go unarmed, follow and I’ll show you where the nice stuff is.” He nodded to Carmine and walked out; glancing back once to make sure that Gabriel was following. He led him down a few hallways and when they got an area, almost deafeningly silent because there were few screams coming from the area; he unlocked a set of double doors. He pushed them open, revealing a large room with black cages inside. He led the way in, ”This is where we keep all the weapons. You can choose anything you want, we have almost everything. Some that haven’t been allowed in society yet…still getting the glitches out.” He went to one of the far cages, swinging the door open and pulling out different parts to a gun. He put it together, obviously one he made himself as it didn’t look like any other but his hands moved deftly, the pieces falling into placed as he put them there. ”If you want to work lethal, there’s talk of mutants in the city, by their descriptions, I’m pretty sure they aren’t going to be needed later.”

Healer

She thought she saw the female lowering Dusk when she was hit across the room. She stumbled over a cart of bandages and supplies. Her head was ringing and she was seeing spots, she could’ve sworn that the girl was out. But sometimes the sedatives didn’t always take effect right away. She heard footsteps running out of the room and a quick glance up she saw Dusk being taken away by the other. She pushed herself up off the ground as guards rushed in the room at the commotion, some heading after the other two. ”Bring the unconscious one back here! She isn’t well!” She didn’t know if the guards would listen to her, but usually unconscious mutant were either brought here or left alone, what would happen to the other she wouldn’t know. Guards shot at Kyra, some taking her down and making sure she was restrained. Someone found the cat-girl under the bed and dragged her out, her screams being ignored. The Healer got up to go and help her but the guards dragged out the girl that looked no more than nine.

Matt

Matt blinked; he had nearly forgotten that when they were stressed, it was usually Blast that was the spoken voice. "Sorry... You know, you're really making Ash worry. You should hurry and clean yourself up...." He opened the door just a crack, just in case he had been about to get into the water, and set the clothing down on the other side of the door. He himself was wearing some of the healer-man's clothing, spare clothes that the man kept here for a reason he wouldn't share. "She's worried about everyone," he murmured, sitting by the door, "Especially those we haven't found yet. Before long, I'm going to go see if my shadows can find them..... Ash is too exhausted, and frankly, I think she's afraid of using her powers now..." With a worried sigh, he glanced back at his sister. The little gray-haired girl was staring at a small bowl in her hands, a steaming ceramic thing with something inside; the man had called it "tomato soup." The color of it though, made Matt worry a little more; the reddish color was very similar to that of smeared blood....

Camelion, Lab

Camelion smiled a little, one hand at this point wrapped around one of the bars. "A fox? Such an interesting mutation.... What all can you do? Or have you been too afraid to try? I know how frightening it must be, to be taken from somewhere and suddenly be different from what you were. But you shouldn't be too afraid, dear," With a smooth movement, he opened the door, slipping in and closing it again before she could skirt around him. "There are many things far worse than the men here...." He knelt in front of her, eyes glinting hungrily as a guard walked by; he frowned some, sliding back a step or two. "Perhaps another time then," he sighed, sounding a bit bored, and stood to leave.

Blast

Blast could tell Amp’s attention was elsewhere, focusing on the nice smell and new sounds about the different rooms nearby. While he looked down at the clothes, they seemed fine enough, better than the tattered, shredded clothing he had on. He slowly pulled off the blood spattered shirt off of his small frame with one hand, jarring his other arm a little a he let out a hiss of pain, momentarily forgetting that it was still hurt. ”Why does she care about us all…? She does know that not everyone gets saved right? We all end up dead in that building...” He reached out to the water again, still not completely trusting the area and putting his head under the stream. Amp was right; it got loud as the water rushed passed his ears. The warm water felt nice and he felt himself relaxing. He glanced at one of the cloths nearby and took it, wiping his face, and areas that had become grey from dirt. He flicked his head back and shook his head to fling water off his hair and glanced back down at the clothes. ”Why should we trust this Healer-man?” He started pulling on the slightly baggy clothing using one arm then opened the door, hair still dripping and his arm held close. ”We don’t know anything about him. The woman. Or what they plan on doing with us. I doubt it will be anything good when they find out what we can do.” His voice was clipped; the closest thing to anger that he would get to, more frightened annoyance if one could hear as well as he could.

Matt

"I forgot," he said sarcastically,"You're the fun one to be around. She cares aout you because she knows that it's care about those who helped her, or allow them to win by not trusting anyone," His voice was just as short as Blast's,"He got us out of that building right? Don't forget, eventhough they might not understand that it was us that did some of the things in there, they saw that we're not.... not like them. At least, not as much as some of us would like..." He ran a hand through his hair and winced; he had forgotten about the wounds from the poker. He glanced around, frowned a little that there was no fireplace, and sighed, walking into the bathroom as Blast came out. With a sharp, pained sigh he closed the door and peeled off the shirt he was borrowing. Already the gashes and punctures were bleeding again...I've gotta close them, before things get outa hand.... rolling up a cloth, he bit down on it as he pressed a flaming hand against the first of the wounds, muffling his cries.

Blast

He rolled his eyes at Matt’s comment and just let him rant. True the guy did get them out, and had brought them here, where he couldn’t find anything such as trap anywhere, and let them clean and wear clean clothes. He just didn’t see why they should be so trusting. He hated they way people were so deceiving sometimes.

The room was dark, so someone must have remembered to hit a switch somewhere so it was possible to rest somewhat, not that it mattered as most could sleep with the light on by now. There were footsteps, almost in time with his heartbeat as they came closer, and closer. There was the ching of keys and the creak of the door. Not another test, not another test. He looked out from under his dark and matted hair at the man that had came in, barely enough strength to do that, let alone struggled against anything that was going to be done to him. But the man came closer; there wasn’t a beating, no harsh words, instead ones that were like silk, making promises and deals. The reward of food that was more than the stale piece he got a few hours previously, and water, that tasted like the fresh he had heard outside the walls a few times. He followed willingly, the promise of more food, good water, a bath, and good clothes drawing him to trust the man. Then a sharp hand had him by the hair, another keeping his arms in place, more men came, a muzzle put over his mouth and a metal table came into view. He looked for the man, desperate for help, and his head pounded when he saw the man giving the orders.

Amp

He felt Blast fall back into his own part of the mind that they shared and so he was pushed to the front. He didn’t know what to do, the place was strange though he had been paying attention and knew the Blast had found nothing wrong. He walked slowly, wincing and rubbing his arm and winced more. He didn’t think it was in the right spot as it didn’t feel the same as the other. He made it to the front room where he saw Ash sitting with something in her lap, the Healer-man and woman in another room doing something at a counter. He just watched, water dripping down his face and he went to sit down in the room where Ash was, not wanting to be alone. He sat on the floor, holding his arm close, seeing flashes of a memory that Blast was reliving and his whole body trembled.

Daren

Daren turned and smiled a little as he heard the door open; Amp had come out from the bathroom, holding his arm. His eyes were different from earlier; much more timid than what he had seen. But... Instead of sitting with Ash, he had sat on the floor and was shaking. He frowned, and stood, picking up one of the other hot bowls and grabbing a spoon from the drawer beneath them before going over. "Amp?" He asked softly, kneeling down in front of him and offering the bowl. As he waited, he looked at the arm he was holding. More than likely it had been broken some time ago; if that was the case, he'd have to break it before he could get it to set properly. No kid liked the idea of having their arm broken again, especially not on purpose by another person.... He suspected this would be more than the case for these kids....

Ash

Ash watched as Amp(blast?) came out from the bathroom, holding his broken arm as he sat down nearby. She gave him an exhausted ghost of a smile before looking down at her bowl again. With a small shiver at the color, she shut her eyes tight and took a sip. She blinked as she set the bowl in her lap again; it was actually good! Despite being the color of blood, the soup was almost sweet, but at the same time it wasn't! She was having trouble even explaining it in her head... She picked up speed as she continued eating, desperate for more as she stared at the now empty bowl, then looked around, looking slightly disappointed at the fact there was no longer anything in her bowl.

Matt

Matt sighed as he pulled the soft shirt back on; his open wounds had been replaced by thinly burned skin, which itched terribly. Not that he could do anything about that now....He made quick work of scrubbing out his hair and taking a wet cloth to his face, arms, and chest before walking out again, taking Ash's towel to dry off his hair. He blinked in vague surprise at the empty bowl in her lap, grinned and ruffled her hair before kissing the top of her head and glancing at Amp(Blast?). The healer-man was sitting in front of him, offering a bowl of soup much like the one Ash had just devoured. There wasn't much he could do there either.... He sat on the floor by Ash's feet, resting his head against her knee, and closed his eyes as shadows wrapped questioningly around him. Find the others..... Kyra, Dusk, Nudge, Faith. Find them, show me where they are......He hissed softly at them, tensing slightly as they flew off in all directions to carry out his command.

Camelion

Camelion smiled a little more, turning around to face Elle. "Yes?" He asked, the seductive smile back, his eyes flashing ever so slightly,"What is it?" He walked back toward her, and with a swift movement he ran a hand through the girl's hair.

Elle

Elle flinched when his hand ran through her hair, and started to once again step back, when she realized she was already pressed against the cool stone wall. "I don't want to be alone again." This time, she really did whisper it. She could almost imagine the other mutants watching them, interested by the new change in their usually boring life. Looking at the door over his shoulder, she could see guards, who had been walking by, paused and looking in. But when they caught the girl's eye, they continued on their way, pretending that they never stopped. Typical. But she turned her attention back to the man when he began to talk.

Amp

He let his hair hang in his face, trying to ignore what Blast was seeing, instead focusing on the sounds around the house. He heard something going on in the nearby room and footsteps, he didn’t like that and by the time they got to him he was tense, not sure what to do. They stopped right in front of him and he looked up through his hair, his blue eyes peeking through the wet strands. He was just sitting there, holding out a bowl to him, he blinked once not sure what he should do with it, but it was out there for him to take so he reached out with his good hand, and took it. He looked down at it and let out an involuntary shudder, it looked like blood, he had seen it so many times before, but she smell that came from it was curious. He moved his other hand a little to get a better grip on the bowl and winced, then just left it alone. There was something else in the bowl that he didn’t know what to do with so he lifted and sniffed once, and it made his mouth water, after a small sip he blinked. Whatever it was it was much better than anything he had had before. He took another drink and in a few seconds it was gone, he looked down at it a little sad, it didn’t feel like there was much in there.

Dusk
Image

Dusk continued to tear down the corridor, dragging Aramay behind her. In the back of her mind, Dusk was surprised the girl was keeping up, previously she been left behind...in the maze. The thought gave Dusk a bit of guilt over the fact. Then again she had left marks, and the reason the girl was keeping up was probably due to a mutation like her own. Beside, now she couldn't focus on that. She would find Amp/Blast, get Kyra and leave. End of story.
Her heart was thumping wildly as her bare feet slapped onto the concrete floor. Her black hair flying behind her as she struggled to keep going, trying not to think of the pounding guards behind her. She started to lose momentum as her breathing became strained.
Her body was not made for stamina, but temporary speed, nonetheless she continued to fight her growing fatigue. It felt good to be back to health, now strong again. Oh what would Carmine think now? Once she had Amp, she would be able to go warn the others. She refused to think of what would happen if she failed. Her mind was on the brink of being broken, her fragile hope was the only thing keeping her from despair she needed to get Amp and get out.
She put on another burst of speed as she turned the corner…
The sudden sound of guns broke into her vision, and she let out a cry of despair as she saw the sheer number of guards. Her face drained of colour, before her legs gave way beneath her, causing her to fall to the ground.
Her green eyes dimmed dangerously close to tears, as she found herself on her knees the guards surrounding herself and the woman.

She prayed they'd shoot straight. She couldn't go back, death was so much sweeter.

Daren

Daren smiled a little as Amp took the bowl, polishing it off in at most a minute. "I'm glad you liked it; I'll get you some more in a minute." He sighed as he repositioned himself so he wasn't killing his bum ankle anymore,"I want to check on your arm first, alright? I know it's broken; I didn't get a chance to help before those men came in." He moved slowly, taking the bowl and setting it to the side. "Please, let me see...."

Camelion

Camelion smiled as another set of guards passed, glancing into the cell before continuing on. "See? there's no reason for you to fear them."He chuckled a little,"The ones to be feared are the ones who changed you," in a soft blink he picked the face of a scientist he had seen, turning into him, "And the creatures they have made....." He moved closer, red eyes slowly turning back to their bloodthirsty ruby.

Matt

The shadows flew through the night, scurrying up walls and across buildings. Into the woods, following Matt's orders. Into the tiny cracks of the pale building, speeding their way unseen through the halls. A few guards turned their heads, not that they would see anything out of the ordinary as they kept going. Dark cells beckoned to them, and they paused for a moment to see what was inside, but they kept looking for the targets, swirling around the Healers' door. They were here, but not anymore..... With a hiss of annoyance they continued their search, chattering excitedly to themselves as they heard the guards' radios. A blockade. Must find the reason!! They looked around, always a handful staying near the blockade....
Matt tensed a little as he watched the movements through his shadows, shaking a little. He wouldn't be able to keep this up for much longer...... He smiled weakly as he felt Ash's hand, slowly petting his head as she herself dozed off.

Amp

His eyes looked up just a little as the Healer-man started speaking to him. He saw him shift a little and could instantly point out that the man’s ankle was hurt, being hurt often enough he could probably see and injury in anyone no matter how much they tried to hide it. The man’s hands moved forward and he started to get a little tense, the bowl was lifted from his grasp and moved to the side, the man moving a little closer, going slowly. Then asked to see his arm, it started throbbing more at the thought of what could happen, what will happen, and what he didn’t want to happen. ”Should I let……?” His voice was soft, almost inaudible as he spoke to Blast, still not completely strong enough to speak fully mind to mind.

Blast

The memory left him somewhat more cautious than he was before. He wasn’t exactly scared, but he was pretty darn close, this allowed him to immediately take control after Amp’s comment. Eyes getting wide, almost frightened look, the man was too close, close enough to touch, hurt, beat, maim, and whatever he had planned. ”No!!!!” His voice alone hit the man, sending him back. He scrambled back, tripping over the furniture behind him and falling over it. He yelled as he landed on his broken arm and just laid there, vision blurry from waves of pain spiking up his arm and shoulder.

Dusk

"Never go back on your threat."
Dusk ignored the woman. She had no idea what had happened, or what Dusk had done. That was when the woman practically flew at the guards, the shooting increased, and Dusk cried out as one grazed her shoulder. Momentarily distracted, Dusk didn't notice as the first guard grabbed her. A few seconds later another pair of rough hands latched onto her arms. She gave up. They dragged her roughly to a cell, and threw her in.
She stumbled forward, before crawling to the corner, laying her head on the cold bricks. There was no point in even bothering to escape. She could hear as struggle as the woman was dragged into the cell next to hers.
She glanced at her shoulder, it was bleeding, though that was nothing new and after the torture and punishment she barely noticed the pain. The bullet had flown straight past, not damaging anything too severely.
Dusk curled herself up in the corner, her knees pulled up to her chest.

Daren

Daren yelped as he was sent backwards over his ankle, tumbling a good five feet backward like someone much larger than the kid had punched him. He blinked as he realized that no one had actually touched him; the kid's yell itself had sent him backward, the sound forming a blow much stronger than what he probably would have on his own. Amp had gotten to his feet, scrambled over the couch and was now lying on the floor. Ash had left her spot beside Matt and leapt over; she went over cautiously, kneeling down beside Amp as Daren himself stood up...

Ash

Ash flipped out as Blast suddenly shot up and toward her, terror and pain in his eyes. She watched as he tumbled over the couch, onto his arm before she got up; she was afraid that if she had moved sooner, she would have scared him more. She crept over, reaching carefully to brush the hair from his face. "It's alright Blast..... It's okay now, calm down okay? If you leave it alone it's going to get worse.... Will you at least let him see it?" Very carefully, keeping her arms around his shoulders so she didn't make the injury worse, she coaxed her friend back to a sitting position."I won't let him hurt you." Her words grew darker, stern as the Healer-man came over, as slowly as she had. "If he tries...." She looked from the Healer to Blast, eyes saying what she couldn't aloud. I will do everything in my power to keep my friends safe.....

Elle
His words flew by, although she could hear every one of them. The kiss on her cheek she let go by without any kind of reaction. But when the door closed with a very loud thud, then she looked up. "Cameron." She whispered the word out, but not loud enough that anybody but her could hear it. How can a name so common be the the name of somebody evil? Her green eyes scanned the empty room around her. So... empty. She tugged at the gold locket that hung loosely around her neck. They let her keep it? She opened and closed it, satisfied at the click it made whenever it closed. It seemed uncommon that she was allowed a reminder to her old life, that seemed like heaven compared to this one. Slowly, she once again crawled to the bars. Eyes stared at her, but she realized that something was different. There was a dead silence. It didn't even sound like they were breathing anymore. Just... Silence.

Amp

He cried out in their mind, causing Blast to let out a bit back whimper in order for the sound to come through fully. Blasts panic was coming in loud and clear, causing him to cower in the back of their mind, wondering what was happening and trying to ignore the increasing pain.

Blast

He tried to resist a little as he was brought to a sitting position and the Healer-man headed over again. He glanced at Ash, then at the man and narrowed his eyes a little, his somewhat frightened look didn’t make the glare worthwhile. He watched the man carefully, very slowly letting his arm relax enough so it wasn’t stiff against his torso. He winced a little, the fall probably made it worse as it wasn’t quite in the right spot to begin with.

Daren

Daren watched as Ash helped the kid sit up, looking rather confused. Blast? I thought his name was Amp.... he frowned a little, noticing and understanding the look the girl gave him. His sister often had the same look on her own face... The 'If you harm him, I'll make you wish you were dead' face. He nodded once, noting that the girl relaxed only enough to avoid hurting Amp....Blast.... Her friend. Gently he took the kid's mangled arm, slowly looking for the break. He grimaced slightly when he found the spot, his grip tightening around it only enough to keep the kid from jerking free and possibly making the injury worse. This is dangerous.... i have no idea how they'll react to my setting this..... But I can't exactly take them back to the hospital either.... He bit the inside of his lip, then sighed, taking the break firmly in both hands. Ash had moved to Amp's side, one tiny hand on either side of his face, forcing him to keep his focus on her. He could barely hear what she said as he moved to set the shattered bone.

Kyra growled as they just left her on the ground in the middle of a cage. Her paws twitched, but other than that, she was still stuck with temporary paralysis. Which also made her angrier. She couldn't do anything but growl and stuff, even if someone came in and slapped her around a bit.

Blast

He watched the man carefully, just watching as he moved closer and lifted his arm. He winced slightly at it being moved, it was throbbing and he knew he wouldn’t be able to move it much at all until it was fixed. Ash’s hands were on the sides of his face and his eyes caught hers, the blood was rushing in his ears and he didn’t hear much of what she said though her mouth was moving. He vaguely felt hands on his arm, then a sharp intense pain spread through his arm and up his shoulder. He cried out, his voice pushing both Ash and the Healer-man back from him. He scurried backwards against the wall, as far as he could get almost as if he wanted to disappear through it. He sat there, shaking, holding his arm close.

Ash

"It'll be okay, Blast. It needs to be set, he won't bother you about it after that...."

Crack. Blast had cried out as the bones set, shoving away and scrambling across the room. Ash winced at being knocked backward with such force, but the man, Daren, was on his side and holding his ankle, cussing up a storm. He had landed on it as he rolled backward; the very thought made Ash wince. She or Matt would have to help him later.... She frowned a little at the terrified expression on Blast's face and stood, scooping up the bowl he had been using. Without looking at the man to see if it was okay, she went into the room with the pot and ladled another large helping of the hot soup. Then, still not looking at the man, she made her way back to Blast, kneeling a good three feet away. Her eyes closed as the bowl seemed to float on a soft breeze for a moment, before gliding smoothly to bob slowly right in front of him. "Eat," she said with a sad smile, "The heat should help a little with the pain okay?" It nudged closer before slowly settling in his lap.

Matt

The shadows swirled, watching the fight. they couldn't follow everyone, Master's energy was almost spent just following one. So they followed the face they recognized. Dusk's. They watched, swirls becoming angry, jagged movements that rattled the bars, although they couldn't do anything to the guards with Master at this distance. "Dusk," they called once the normal men were away,"Where are the others? Not forgotten is Dusk, will find a way out...." The sound was very childlike as they crept through the bars, swirling and faintly caressing the cat-girl's cheek. "Not forgotten. Help find, so can escape.... Where are the others?...... Must hurry, not much energy left......."

Amp

His mind was running in circles, for one, he couldn’t get in front to see what was going on, so the only thing going through was pain. He started panicking more, not resisting Blast’s actions as he felt them against the wall and pressed close, it was something he was used to, comfortable with, they couldn’t sneak up on you when you could see them coming. Granted now, he didn’t know who ‘they’ were anymore. It used to be the scientists, or the guards, but he hadn’t seen any around here, had the Healer-man hurt them? He wouldn’t be able to trust him then anymore, he didn’t like people who hurt him, they more than likely did it again.

Blast

He watched his surroundings carefully, forcing himself to calm down as much as he could. He was acting like a child, how Amp would be acting, he was supposed to be the stronger one. He took a few deep breaths and attempted to stop his shaking. He saw Ash scurrying around with a bowl and then knelt down a bit away from him. He watched her, she had helped the man to cause the pain to his arm but that smell was enticing that was coming from the bowl. She slowly made it come to him, floating slightly until it rested in his lap. He looked down, it was the color of blood and it made him shudder, but Amp and drunken the whole bowl before. He lifted it in one hand and slowly took a sip, then a gulp, and the bowl was gone in a few more seconds.

Ash

Ash smiled as Blast wolfed down the soup she had set in front of him. He was still mad, still suspicious, but he had trusted her enough to eat. She knew how much bone-setting hurt. He thought she and the healer-man had caused him pain, which was sort of true; they had needed to put his arm right, and there was no painless way to do it without knocking him unconscious, which would have made him more distrusting. She grabbed the blanket she had nearly pulled from the couch with her, slowly moving closer and offering it to him. "Guys?" She asked, talking to both of them at once,"Guys it's okay now, he won't mess with your arm any more...." Biting her lip in hesitation, she moved to sit at his side, draping the blanket over his shoulders. She whistled softly, like she had in the Lab, so that only he would understand.

I'm scared guys.... Not of here, or this place.... but of what is still out there.... I'm worried about our friends.....We need to save them.... but I'm scared of doing that too. Scared we might get caught instead of helping to get them out.....I haven't been able to find anyone... I know Matt's looking, but he's exhausted and injured worse than us.....She coiled up tight, arms around her knees, white-knuckled fingers gripping her ankles.
