Kyra (In the Lab)

Kyra's nose twitched as she caught sight of the catgirl in the tree. Her fur felt prickly and uncomfortable in this situation, an order to change shape from the mindless creature. She groaned as she changed back into a human with a grin plastered on her face. The feeling of rightness coursed through her veins as she stared at the petite catgirl. Then it hit her full force, the ravenous hunger. With no other creatures in the arena for her to hunt, she lunged forward and was in the tree in just a few quick bounds. A growl clawed its way out of her throat as she pushed off from one of the other branchs, and tackled the cat girl from the tree. The branch the small girl was on broke, and by the time it fell, Kyra was had already sank her canines into the girl's jugular.

Amp

He paused as he heard a shuffling nearby. He turned slightly and his eyes went big, taking a step back. Not only was there a huge tiger in the room, but Ash walked right up to it. He took another step back, almost bumping onto the wall and he just stood there frozen. He had seen tigers before on the screens during the Games. They were dangerous, lethal, and rarely had remorse. He didn’t like the fact that one of those creatures was actually in the room with them, something that was much larger than he was, its paw could probably knock him down more easily than he would be able to push its head to the side.

The Games

The girl tried jumping off the branch as soon as Kyra leaped. But the branch broke and the girl was on her. Her green eyes went large, almost pleading as she fell and Kyra bit into her neck. She yelped but the cry was cut off by her choking on blood, trying to breathe. Her small hands pushed against Kyra to no avail and she slowly went limp.

Cheers went up around the arena, guards clapping and collecting money on bets. Almost right away they started filling out and going back to work, the fun over and done, nothing left to entertain them until the next Games. A door opened near Kyra, the only way out of that place it seemed.

Aria

Aria woke up kinda disoriented, her head is pounding, she looked around her not really remembering what happened, all she really remembers is she was going for a walk then suddenly it went black. The room she was in was small, she was sitting on a bed and there was a little nightstand near the bed but no windows except for the one at the door, she wasn't sure where she was she just wanted her Mama, wanted to go back home to her family. She started crying, she wanted to get out, wanted to know where she was and why they kidnapped her.

Aria got up slowly to her knees, noticing she didn't have her backpack, they musta took it or it fell when they took her, she wasn't sure yet. Crawling to the doorway she tried to open it but it was locked, the window was too high for her too look out of, crying still she started banging on the door and yelling "Let me out, I want my family, I want my Mama, I want my family, please just let me out! please!" she yelled over and over sobbing. When no one came over she slid down on her butt pulling her knees to her chest and cried harder. She wasn't sure what time it was, is it lunch time? Would her family already be looking for her? Would they be worried? these thoughts kept going through her head as she sat there, scared and afraid that she won't ever see them again.

Kishan

Oblvious to the small girl a few inches away, Kishan licked his nose while sleeping. Turning onto his back his stuck his paws in the air and growled, before yawning. He was in the tree in seconds, barely even breathing at all. The stench of the human girl filling his nose as he leapt from one of the branchs. His powerful legs launching him at his prey. The tree branch broke, and he was already on her, tearing at her throat. She struggled but went limp after some time went by. He looked around the Arena, searching for someone else to satiate her hunger. Arena? Her? Hunger?

Kishan snapped out of the dream in seconds. His cobalt blue eyes glowed in the dark as he rolled back onto his side, only to bump into someone. He pulled back and looked at the girl. Blooming wild flowers, were his first thought of the girl. He licked his nose, and did nothing.

Kyra

Kyra let out a low growl, as she searched the Arena for another... Creature to prey on. She sat down for a moment, and looked around her at the walls, the dead bodies, and the blood that would stain the ground. They called themselves 'Human' but for what? They fight for the tiniest of things, thinking an object such as a block of gold is valuable. They pit they're own kind against each other in arenas to fight for their own entertainment. What does the word, Human, even mean? They threw you out here, so they could watch you kill. Animals. If they were animals, don't you think, the world would be more peaceful. But they're not. They're beasts. Monsters. And so are you.

Kyra turned and darted into the door that opened in the wall. The monster was whispering things to the tiger in her, telling her about the two-leggers. Telling her they were nothing but food. The problem was that, the tiger agreed with the monster, and the humanity in her was losing.

Ash
Ash squeaked as the huge white tiger bumped into her, staring at her with eyes at least twice the size of hers. Almost without thinking, she reached toward the fluffy looking white fur. "Can I?" She asked as she hesitated, pulling her hand back a little. She could feel Matt's and even Amp's extremely cautious eyes on her as she took a tiny step closer. She forced to think of everything but the fact that Kishan could very easily pin her, or that she had no idea what she could still do in terms of the merge between her fire and wind abilities.....

~Carmine~

She twitched as she heard her door open and someone hesitantly take a step inside. She sat up from her spot on the couch, finally getting some kind of rest today. Her dark eyes found the intruder, a scientist bringing a thin file over to her. She brushed back her long black hair over her shoulder and stood. ”What is it now?” The scientist almost flinched at her harsh comment, her voice hard from being woken up from her nap. ”I am sorry to bother you Lady Carmine, but the guards have brought a new subject in. I was coming to see what you wanted done with her.” She took the file from him, looking at the picture inside of the small girl. ”We just lost a flyer in the Games, seems we need a replacement now. Get to it.” She gave the file back to the scientist and shut the door on him. Now that she was awake, she wasn’t going to be able to go back to sleep, she might as well get something done. She went to her desk and sat down, working on the paperwork piled on top.

Guards

As soon as Kyra walked through the door, it slammed shut, leaving her in a dark, solid metal room with no way out. Guards were still going back to their places, relieving the ones that had stayed behind to keep a look out on the mutants while they watched the Games over the screens scattered around the place. One stayed behind, going over to the cages bellow that kept the mutants either going in or the mutant coming out. Whichever mutant won tended to be taken care of more than the others, at least for a few days, getting better food, and water regularly throughout the day. He went to the supplies that was given and pulled out a large slab of meat and a bottle of water. He opened a slot in the metal door and shoved the meat through and tossed in the water, and lastly flipped a switch that turned on a small light in the room. It wasn’t over powering like the ones in the cells that kept the mutants from sleeping, or the direct light from the experiment and testing rooms, this one was set off to the side, was slightly muted so there was a dark corner, allowing the mutant to sleep if they so wished, or be awake if they wanted.

scientist

The scientist walked down the halls to the nicer rooms that the mutants were kept in. Sometimes they weren’t seen to for days, or were taken right into experiment rooms. It let them get comfortable here right before they were put into the empty cells, with no furnishings, no windows, a single bright light and a small window in the large metal door without a handle. They were animals after all; they didn’t need the luxury that the human population liked so much. He went to the door and opened it, seeing the small girl inside he went over, ignoring any protest she may have given, any questions, pleas for help, or any begging. He had done this so many times no amount of emotion seen in the subjects could bring out sympathy in him. He dragged her to an experiment room, and more or less threw her on the table, and cuffed down her wrists and ankles.

_Eriyk_

He and Gabriel walked through the streets, following the strange reports and sightings. Talk of a large creature, almost scorpion like was ravishing through the city, scaring people, knocking over cars and coming close to killing people. Eriyk knew that this creature was probably a mistake; it wouldn’t be able to be controlled so he sent Gabriel after it, to kill it, get rid of any evidence, while he went after the talk of a winged child somewhere near the woods.

Kumo

Kumo hissed as the rectangle light from the opening door appeared, pulling himself back into the darkest recesses of the large dungeon of a room. His offspring scurried here and there, trying desperately not to get squished while looking for food. "Who isssss herrrree?" He rumbled, letting the bright light flash against his fangs and blood red eyes. "You do not smell of the Above Building. Who is here?"

Caine

Caine listened closely to Kumo's words, watching as the man he had caught wandering moved into the chamber. Man should be in a cell himself, going near that thing, he thought as his body shook through a coughing fit. He had a few more months, tops, if he didn't find a suitable new body.... THat woman Carmine was without a doubt laughing at how careless he seemed, how vunerable. He kicked the back of his desk hard at the thought, watching the cameras.

Caylx

Caylx grinned and growled at the guard who was leaving now to fix his cut. If she was lucky something bad would happen to him. The cut on her cheek began to sting and she could feel warm blood streamnig down her cheek.
"Punnished for fighting back? Funny last time I checked you guys fight back all the time but there is no punnishment for you." Caylx said angrily. She spit on the ground a blood filled flem from the blood now seeping into her mouth. She didnt even like the taste of it because it was afterall her own, she still craved a warm body to feed off of but now she had to anticipate what the scientist pulled out next.

Kyra

Kyra paced at the far side of the room, her pitch black eyes blending in with the shadows making it look as if she had no eyes at all. The metal room would have normally gave her a chill, but now it just soothed her in some way. There was no light to blind her or noises that could distract her. Just the black veil hanging through the room, with no one else inside it but her. That is until the sound of metal on metal chased her into one of the corners. She watched as a human hand throw in a slab of meat and a bottle of water. Her night vision becoming sharper with every second... Until the hand dissappeared and the light bulb came to life.

Kyra blinked away the light's brightness and she could see normally for awhile. Sniffing the air for any traps, she stepped forward ignoring the coolness of the metal under her feet. The meat smelt strange and... somehow revolting. The stench made her want to puke or at least claw the insides of her throat. Picking up the bottle of water she tossed it between her hands for a moment, and licked her lips. Water, she could drink water. The popped the cap with her thump, brought the bottle to her lips and gulped it all down in seconds. The water cooled her insides, and rid her thoughts of the meat for a brief momemt. She threw the empty water bottle aside and slunk into the darkest corner of the room.

Kishan

Kishan stared at Ash. His ears fully turned toward her, he licked his nose. The fur at the base of his neck feeling oddly itchy as he laid his head down on his paws and closed his eyes. Although it seemed as if he was asleep, he was really aware of the girl's presence. He didn't know what to do, so he had just gone with pretending to be asleep.

((Sorry about the short Kishan part))

"DDDoooo nnottt leavvvvee," the giant spider-beast rumbled, and thousands of the tiny offspring blocked the man's path. "You speak of Cameron as if you know him. Only he would allow me day-seeing. But I am also very hungry; how do you know you can get me day-seeing? If you do not tell me, I will let my children eat you. That will be fun for me to watch.....but will not be pleasant for you, I do not think..... Very painful......Is death.... And longer, yes it has been much longer since they have eaten than I....." He scuttled forward, lifting the man with one of the spindly arms he possessed now from his most recent, agonizing mutations. "Tell me, one who does not fit. Can you garuntee my day-seeing?"

Ash

Ash smiled a little as Kishan's eyes seemed to close; it was a common trait to cats, to make it look as though they were asleep. She reached over, gently rubbing the soft tuft of fur close to Kishan's ear, giving them a good scritch as she watched him cautiously. Her deft, gentle fingers made their way down from his ear down to the slightly coarser fur by his neck, weaving into the fur, more or less ruffling it without petting him backwards and making it stand up. Her pale hands looked so tiny compared to the tiger, she couldn't help but notice, and she smiled. "This might not be quite the right word, but I don't know another...." She whispered, head tilting as she pet and scritched the huge tiger,"But your fur, it is very pretty.....So light....and warm...."

He watched Ash, not trusting the tiger one bit, granted being him he wouldn’t readily trust anything that was larger than him, had claws and teeth that could kill him in a few moves. But he couldn’t stop watching, he wanted to make sure that the tiger stayed where he was, and wasn’t about to hurt any of them. At the moment he didn’t know what to do with himself, he couldn’t fall back to sleep, seeing as habit would keep him up now until he crashed, he had eaten food, even though it was only a few bites, it was all his stomach could take of the strange food. He glanced at Matt who was eating then Ash who was petting the tiger, then let his ears wonder, hearing the man who brought them here in another room and the lady in another. Seeing and hearing nothing else he went back to his corner, grabbing the blanket and pulling it close, the only comforting thing he had at the moment.

"Good. Well, why don't we go see whether Lady Carmine has any jobs for us? I'm sure she will be glad to have another potential interrogator on board." Interrogator? Oh no, no, no, no. Still, she allowed herself to step out of the cell before shaking out her limbs and starting to walk. And when she could walk, she started to run. She saw that she could run much, much faster. All the guards started yelling, ready to shoot at her, but she decided against running away at the last second and started to run back to where Cameron stood.

"Are we going... up? Closer to the surface? Closer to the-" She was going to say the outside, but decided against it and just stood next to him, trying to avoid his red eyes. Trying to pretend he was normal, and not a bloodthirsty killer.

"Yes, we're going up." He snarled deep in his throat as the guards came over, causing them to stagger back a bit. "Do not forget what I did to one of yours because he crossed me," he hissed at them, and with a flicker of his eyes they stumbled back to their posts. He had no idea what had brought him into protecting the girl, but something deep in him told him that much was right for him to do.... "If you are good, perhaps you and I can go out there; you and I both look human enough still...." He winked at her, the expression on his face almost fatherly. "You can run up ahead if you wish, stretch your legs...." His eyes flickered a challenge; he hadn't run for the hell of it in a long time. Normally he was chasing someone down.

((Institution))Kumo

Kumo laughed at the man's tone as he looked him over. Scrawny compared to the guards, about what he would get to eat normally.... But he set him down with a snickering hiss. "If you can manage to get me out without being seen, I will be thoroughly impressed," He chuckled, reciting a series of words he had heard the Normals speak before. Many thought he was completely insane; of course, he was, but that hardly mattered. One could be insane and intelligent....

Kishan

Kishan didn't know what to do. The girl was obviously delusional, because who'd walk up to a tiger, who is alot bigger then them and actually treat the wild animal like a house pet? The area in which Ash buried her hands felt prickly and strange, something he wasn't used to. It got a even worse when the girl called his fur pretty. Yes, he does think of himself in his tiger form as handsome, but not pretty. He growled, lifting his head and stared at the girl. Tiger's most likely didn't have facial expression, but Kishan's face practically had the words 'Are you insane?' written on his face.

After a few minutes, Kishan snorted and shook his head before shifting into his human form. Lying on his side, using one of his arms to prop up his head, he grinned. Ash had her head on his arm. "If you want to know, I really do work out." His cobalt blue eyes twinkled with mischief, and... the look of a predator eyeing his prey.

Ash

Ash flushed deep crimson as the tiger growled and looked at her, the look in his eyes telling her he didn't really like the word she used. When he changed and propped himself up on his elbow, she blushed harder. "Sorry!! I'm sorry, I just...." She pulled her hands back, sitting on them and looking at her knees. "I don't know any other words like that..... never needed to learn other ones..... I--I didn't mean to offend you or anything either, when I pet you.....It's just.... I really like cats.... It doesn't matter really how big.....only seen one other tiger before....She's the one you want to help get free, isn't she?" Her voice kept trailing off, so that the words at the end were hardy audible. From their hiding place beneath her, her hands twitched as she talked; normally she spoke mostly with her hands, but she was so embarrassed with how she had acted toward this mutant..... She turned deep strawberry red, her long ashen hair falling in her face. She could hear Matt shift tensely, ready to dive at Kishan to protect her if need be.

Nexa let the copper slide down in her arm like a metallic waterfall and stuck her finger into the key-hole, letting the copper flow into the lock. She gently turned it and pushed the door open, gently closing it before running silently down the hall. No sense of freedom was felt in Nexa's heart, she knew she wasn't even close to escaping. Whatever Nexa did she had to keep her powers a secret no matter what situation she was thrown in, if they found out then escape would be virtually impossible. When Nexa came to a barred cage she climbed up, smiling at the female mutant that was inside, but her sad smile begged them not to sound the alarm.
When she was up high she grabbed onto a pipe and pulled herself up, coating herself with the same color and textured metal so she would blend in. Nexa was determined to try and rescue some more mutants if she ever found a way out. If Nexa ever... As the metal overtook her body Nexa met eyes with a guard. Quickly she swung down cat-women style and wrapped her metal legs around the man's throat, for good measure she sealed a tight, iron collar around his throat. When he passed out she hopped down from the pipes, dislodging one and placed it over his head so it would look like an accident.
"Please say that this pipe hit him and I'll come for you when I find a way out." Nexa whispered to the girl before climbing back up to the pipes.

"Being in a place where your blind to everything except for ghost is not where I like being" Jay said to herself. She was curled up in the corner of this dark room, or cage, or where ever she was. She heard screaming and yelling from the next room. They were torturing someone again. Every scream made her flinch and shed a tear. "I hate this place. This horrible messed up place " All Jay wanted was to leave. Leave this place of torture and insane madness. But there's no way Jay can get out, she's blind. She wont be able to make it out without help. There's probably no chance she'll even leave. "I'll probably die here. Without saying goodbye to everyone." This thought made Jay horribly sad. She sat up in her little corner and brought her knees up to her chest, tired of laying on the dirty flour. She heard the guards walk by and stop in front of the door to the room, or cage, or 'torture room'. "Not again..." Jay whispered and laid her forehead on her knees.

Elle

Elle shuffled back when the guards came, still rather scared of them no matter what Cameron had said. A small smile spread across her lips when he said she could run again. She was about to pass it down, but the challenge both in his voice and his eyes made her smile turn more into a smirk. She looked at the guards once again. They most likely wouldn't stop her now. She she began to run again, faster then before. It must be her new 'powers'.

Around the corner. Up the stairs. She stopped when she found herself in yet another hallway full of cells. She couldn't help but look in the bars to see what these mutants consisted of. Wait, what was that sound? She brought her hands up to her ears, but she could still hear it. Screaming, that's what it was. But it sounded like She must be near the places where the scientists were... testing. She was itching to sit down again and pull her knees to her chest. No. She wouldn't do that. So instead she stood there with her hands over her ears, closing her eyes to ignore the new set of guard's questioning looks.

Kishan

Kishan studied Ash as she fluttered about. He probably wouldn't have understood any of her mumblings if he wasn't the way he was, which didn't really do anything because he still didn't understand her. He couldn't feel her mind like he could to Matt or Amp. It was like she wasn't there at all. All except for her scent and her physical form. "... only seen one other tiger before....She's the one you want to help get free, isn't she?"

Kishan's eyes darkened when the conversation turned toward Kyra. Who he had just Shadowed. He hadn't done that for quite some time and the realization that Kyra wasn't okay shocked him. He could share the information with these humans later. He shifted back into his tiger form and rolled over. He needed to sleep.

Ash

Ash peeked through her hair as Kishan tried to get into her head. He had shifted back, and she slowly let down her sheilding. This was extremely difficult, considering she had been keeping herself "Dead" for at least five years and her barriers were locked tight, the parts of her mind that made them extremely raw. Tentatively she offered a few surface thoughts to him, mostly how intriguing Kishan was to her; she hadn't been in a position to do the same with Kyra. I didn't mean to upset you.... She thought finally, standing and going to curl up with Matt.

(Lab)Camelion

Camerontook off after Elle with a chuckle, barrelling down the hall, around the corner, taking the stairs four and five at a time, keeping about five feet behind her. When she stopped, he almost skidded into her; the screams that he found comforting seemed to bother her....He moved slowly, savoring the sound but looking concerned as he rested a hand on the girl's shoulder. "Perhaps you aren't ready to be up here little one;not everyone has the stomach to be in these halls for long...."

"Perhaps you aren't ready to be up here little one;not everyone has the stomach to be in these halls for long...." Elle looked at him and quickly dropped her hands. "No, it's fine. It's just loud, because
of the thing they shot into my arm. Now I can hear and see better and..." She spoke rather fast. She didn't want to go back down there. She didn't want to kill people either, but she would cross that river when she got there. Maybe he would understand. Maybe he wouldn't. But she would find another way to get back up here, whether it be that she is allowed to or not.

"Is Lady Carmine in charge?" Elle added, remembering what he had said about a job they could do. Boy, wasn't she talkative today. Usually, you were lucky to get out a word or two. But she was pretty much leading this whole conversation now. She looked down at his hand that lay on her shoulder. She couldn't believe this was happening right now. Another scream echoed through the room, but all she did was shudder. She could prove she could withstand it. After all, if she was living in this place for the rest of her life, she might as well live up on the surface, and not in those dungeons.

I didn't mean to upset you.... Kishan felt the thought enter his head. Most minds left something smiliar to taste to him, and Ash's mind tasted like a rainbow, whatever rainbows tasted like. Her head was a buffet of colors, too many colors, and he was only getting a glimpse. He yanked his mind back. Sometimes when starving and hungry, he would just suck the energy out of people without even knowing it. Ash was an Ally, and he couldn't just kill an ally, now could he?

Kishan growled before shifting into his human form, his glowing eyes watching the door. He stood and walked stiffly over to the door, finding it hard to control his hunger. Grabbing the handle he froze. They needed to know. They needed to know how to kill his kind. "When you run into someone like me and Kyra..." He gulped, his voice sounding strained. "Break our necks... or suffocate us... It won't kill, but it'll slow us down." He yanked the door open nearly pulling it off the hinges as he exited the apartment.

He hurried out of the building, straining to control the urge to kill the humans he saw. They weren't actually titled as humans as he passed them. They were titled more as food-on-legs-with-brains to him now. They were food, not people. He didn't know where he was going, just getting away from his allies. Hunger. He glimpsed a dark alley and staggered into it, taking deep breathes. Hunger. Cement. Dumpster. Rough surfaces. Hunger. A pounding heart. A human heart. Slow and relaxed. His senses were on fire as he tried to make sense of what was going on around him. He was moving toward a green thing. A dumpster, some part of his mind barely recognised the pulsing green box as he leaped over it, landing just in front of the source of the human heart. An old man. He couldn't see the man's face, but he did see the man's throat.

A hot but yet cool liquid was filling his mouth, as he jerked at it's jugular. It. Not him, not man, just it. He connected with the man's mind and he felt a spasm jerk through it's body. He drank greedily at what was once a man's energy. He wasn't taking blood, but something human's called a mind. He was literally eating the man's mind.

Kishan growled as he dropped the man and licked his lips. His mind was full, but his stomach wasn't. Morphing into his tiger form, he began to tear chunks of flesh off the man. He didn't care who saw. He could just kill them.
