God Name: Adarani
Creed: I shall bless all of you who take care of others with all your heart and mind, all of you who risk your lives for your fellow mortal, and most certainly everyone who remains loyal to their friends, family and spouses.
Title: Divine Matchmaker, Protectress of Love and Marriage, Bringer of the Harvest, Elder Goddess of Healing, Elder Goddess
Gender: Female
Alignment: Neutral Good, leaning towards Lawful Good (though she can do evil things unintentionally)
God Appearance:
Her figure is one that men often adore, slender and appealing. Adarani does not like showing off her smooth, tanned skin, though, which is why she will typically wear a light blue dress which covers her from the shoulder blades to the kneecaps. Her jewelry is nothinjg extravagant, just some blue, violet, white, and pink beads she made to go around her neck. In the night, her sapphire blue eyes glisten and sparkle, one of several factors to her innocent charm. The dark-blonde hair reaches neatly to her shoulders, without any fancy styles or the like. As for her height, it fluctuates from day to day. Her animal form is that of a bird, normally a dove, allowing her to fly to her destinations without drawing attention to herself.
Personality: Though Adarani speaks passionately about love and marriage, she, herself, has yet to marry someone and lose her virginity. If anyone were to ask her why, it would be because she is undecided as to who her match would be and is still searching. Until then, she will remain a virgin. She typically will help any mortal who is injured or ill become well again, despite what they may have done. It pains her whenever death is the only cure to a person's misery, as she would rather see someone live to meet their loved ones again. Pacifist by nature, Adarani will
normally avoid combat whenever she can, not wanting to inflict harm on anyone. When speaking to mortals, she is rather open. Among immortals, however, her shyness can be observed due to the fact she is not used to interaction with one of her own kind.
Since the Battle of Sacrira, however, her innocence was lost (despite how innocent-looking she can appear) and she now faces an internal conflict on how she should use her martial arts skills in the future. The Cataclysm has done even worse damage for her, internally. The Vitaiim were nearly wiped from existence, leaving only three families of four still alive. All the death and trauma of war was more than she could bare. It will take some time for her to recover from all the loss at the hands of Kreios. (And Jute, but she does not know about her, yet.) In the meantime, the Elder Goddess of Love decided to hold back her tears and despair as best she can so to continue to help mortals in their time of need. If anything other than upset her to the core, the Cataclysm hardened her resolve to find a peaceful solution to disputes and keep mortals safe from the horrors hate and malice bring.
Opinion of mortals: Adarani cares deeply for mortals of all walks of life. Such indiscriminate compassion can be used against her, however. That aside, she sees more in men than simple-minded lust. In fact, many of her male followers are trained to
resist such lust, and are quite successful at it. Adarani's disciples typically avoid combat whenever possible. Should they need to fight, however, they all know unarmed techniques, to some degree or another, which allow them to escape without causing any lethal harm (at least, that is the plan, but is not always the case). When an individual who follows her comes of age, he/she is taken to a local monastery or academy (whichever is nearest) to be trained in the art of healing. Those who complete such training can be found all over the world, curing ailments and remedying injuries without any regard to their own well-being. The Divine Matchmaker expects spouses to be loyal to each other in more ways than one. (Example given, when the wife is having trouble raising the couple's children, if any, on her own, the husband is expected to help and vice versa.)
God’s Domain: Adarani rests in Paradise to recharge her energy, yet does most of her work in the mortal plane. She can normally be found somewhere close to agricultural areas, or wherever ill or injured people are being tended to. Adarani wil also appear whenever she feels a certain pair of people should become a couple, thus she will make it all possible.
Portfolios Governed: Love, Healing, Fertility
Symbol(s): A Heart with a Tulip in Front
The pictures below are of Adarani's spirit guide: Loyalty
Dormant for some time before becoming active after the Trial of Kreios, there is a spirit inside her named Loyalty. Her birth is explained like this: Before the Corrupter came along, the first two mortals were still growing used to their environment in the world. Their time together formed a bond which gave way to a relationship, then marriage, a family starting because of it. The love between the first two mortals eventually gave way to Loyalty. Once the world under the All-Father was destroyed, this spirit needed to find a worthy host, and found that in the Divine Seed of Adarani. All the innocence, the purity, it was all much like that of the first two mortals. From that point on, as she bound herself to the Goddess, Loyalty promised to be a guide to her, to help her in any way possible.
Essentially, wheareas Adarani is emotion, Loyalty is logic, and will be there to help bring her back to reality whenever she strays too far from logic. She is also handy for when the Goddess is in trouble, as they can switch places, altering their body's appearence a little (Loyalty has a bit more muscle tone and has a more serious demeanor about her than Adarani, sort of like the bit between Yugi and the Pharoah in the "Yu-Gi-Oh" anime) while a sword appears in the right hand. Like Adarani, Loyalty does not normally kill, though her methods are somewhat more bloody due to maiming with slashes and stabs. Switching places not only comes in handy for combat, but also for when Adarani quite literally cannot create something that is important for her disciples, such as self-defense weapons or other forms of equipment. Loyalty is even a great artist, capable of creating murals or statues in honor of mortals and immortals alike, a handy trade for when temples, monuments, or memorials are being built (those are where her skills in art are at their peak, since she cannot find inspiration for anything but honoring certain individuals).
