God’s Domain: He wanders the domains being forced to turn into his form that suits that domain and being forced to act the way that domain's gods usually act.

God's territory: Insane asylum, places where the ones touched by madness are located.

Portfolios Governed: Mind

Personality: Veltrez doesn't care about power or things like that. All he wants to do is simply exist and have fun or cause chaos depending on his form. He won't be much of a problem when he is neutral since he can't really use any of his powers in this state. In his demonic state his illusions can break a mortal's mind showing them gore and warfare far beyond what their mind can take. In his holy state he can heal the minds of the broken, give people good dreams, ect. Just be sure to not make him angered and you'll be safe from his demonic form. He will be seen with animals of some sort depending on his form. He will use his creations to help mortals have fun or suffer.

Opinion of mortals: He doesn't mind them in his neutral state. In his holy state he would want nothing more then to help them by fixing their minds if they're broken or making them have pleasant dreams, but in his chaotic state he loves breaking the minds of mortal's and wouldn't mind fighting another god for fun and watching them as their pride and self-confidence crumble to nothing.

Opinion of other immortals: He won't mind them in his neutral state as long as they don't mess with him or his floating island. If a god decides to try to fight him he'll instantly take up his demonic form and use his power to fight, he wont care about fighting fair, all he'd care about it beating you to a pulp and destroying your pride. In his holy form he'll help other gods in handling mortals and try to befriend them and invite them to his island for fun and games in the mania side of his kingdom. He wont be able to damage his friends in his chaotic form or he wont be able to help those he hates in his holy form.

So begins...

Veltrez

So much things were swimming around in this god's mind. It was maddening, he was surprised his mind didn't break. Love, hate, good, and evil he felt all of these emotions in a surge. Never in his time being alive has he felt this unstable, his felt his body convulsing trying to choose a form to stay in. It hurt constantly changing views on the world, he ran away and looked into his reflection in his mirror. It was disgusting and beautiful at the same time, he didn't feel like destroying or helping anyone he felt neutral for the first time in a while. He had wings, none of his forms had wings that he knew of, perhaps this was a trick of his own insanity. Wait where was he, what is he, and more importantly who is he? " I don't know anything about me, yet I know everything about this place. " He walked around his kingdom expecting someone to be there, no one was there it seemed as if any mortals that were here just disappeared into thin air. He hit his wings against a wall. " Guessing these wings are real." He hoped his wings would actually work, he flew a bit and fell to the floor. He tried again and managed to keep a steady flap and stay in the air. He flew out of the window and went directly up. He looked at his kingdom " Perfect, just the perfect mix of black and white." He looked around and saw that there was little sentient beings around. The land was beautiful, but it seemed to hold a sadness as if blood was shed over this location. He heard whispers in his ears, "Speak up" he said. He noticed it wasn't anything surrounding him. " I guess I really am insane." He got tired of being lonely and decided to create an accomplice, he carved a figure into the stone and gave the creation it's own mind to be able to communicate. He did the same for more beings, he told them to see if they could find any other beings in this world that are the same as Veltrez. He knew he had to try to not invade the beings mind or risk taking their sanity. He felt a darkness and an urge to destroy their minds and he then felt a light and an urge to make them experience wonderful dreams, but both urges faded as quickly as they came. He was confused as to what just happened. He decided to explore this world on his own while his creations explored elsewhere. Veltrez hoped he could find someone to answer all the questions he needs answered. He didn't know how well he could keep his mind intact, his conflicting forms made him capricous and dangerous.

Kazus suddenly came to realize his existence. He knew he was and knew he had been long before he even knew he was. He could sense that the energy that he consisted of had been stirring in the middle realm since the All Father created it, waiting to be realized. Anxious to be actualized.
He moved along the earth in the form of a gust of wind, beneath the tree tops, swirling around trunks and branches, splitting and recouping, howling and whistling. As the gust that was in essence him passed over the earth, picking up leaves and soil, Kazus could sense that this very ground had witnessed an event of great importance very recently.
Out of the wind came a whisper towards the earth, "What secrets do you hold?" He moved on, not expecting an answer. Then he saw the other rush up into the sky, wings flapping. Even at this distance, he could tell it was another god. Kazus blew skyward to meet him and pushed him upwards, being caught in his wings. As he passed the god's head, a whisper of curiosity escaped him. "Speak up," said the god. Kazus was a bit surprised that he'd been noticed, until the god muttered to himself "I guess I really am insane." Still, Kazus left his presence and watched from a distance. He saw as the god took stone and made creatures. Creation seemed wonderful to him and he contemplated making his own mortals as he watched the god fly away.

Veltrez was finally able to fly without any trouble, but occasionally his body convulsed and took on his other forms for a second or two. His body was unstable from all the chaos that was brought into this world in a short time. He didn't have the time to properly grow and was forced out of his seed young. He went into his holy form and didn't turn back instantly, like he did many times before. He didn't fret and gently fell to the floor, since he didn't have wings in this form. He walked and hoped not to see someone who was in pain. Don't get me wrong, he would gladly help anyone who was in pain in this form, but he didn't want to see someone in pain. If someone is in pain, then something must've caused the pain, correct?

His body convulsed once more and put him in his devilish form. He felt like destroying a mortal's mind just to see how they would act after he destroyed their feeble mind. "I need a weapon." He decided he would see if any blacksmiths were around here. He walked on the path set before him for quite a while. When he reached remains of a town he felt anger. "How can they die before I got here? " His rage wasn't justified, but considering this was his devilish form you shouldn't be surprised. He sent a wave of insanity that would cause any mortal in the vicinity to go insane, but there were no mortals here so his wave fell on deaf ears. He started throwing the rubble here looking for anything useful, his patience was done he was about to destroy all the rubble when his body convulsed once more and he went into his holy form, since his body was stabilizing he would be able to choose what form to go into soon, but occasionally his forms would pop up without warning. He saw a sword in the rubble that remained, since he needed a weapon he decided to look to see if there was any material left to make himself his own weapon. None, perhaps there was a god that could help on his endeavors? He found a pieces of iron and ruby still intact, since he couldn't make a weapon out of this he decided to make the first of many amulets. He made an amulet, but it served no purpose except for decoration yet. He sat down and waited for any other god to come upon him and try to interact with him. Patience is a virtue, although his neutral form had a lessened patience and his demonic form had next to no patience whatsoever.

Mathias

Mathias wandered what was left of the Middle Realm. During his departure, he recognized a familiar energy. It was that of "Laska". While Mathias had his curiosities about her, she continued not to trip any dire alarms. She felt peaceful and nothing else. Against his better judgement, Mathias continued to feel new life and their energy...is more questionable. Feeling that the other new comers pose greater threat than "Laska" he continued his search. Mathias roamed the landscape, it seemed to have changed considerably since the Cataclysm. A lot of the familiar sights and sounds, gone. This too brought on more trouble upon Mathias' heart. Mathias had to press forward, he can't risk being caught in nostalgia.

Mathias moved forward as he walked in the direction of one of the most turbulent, forces he's felt. Despite the feelings of chaotic mood swings, there was a familiarity about it. Mathias couldn't place his finger on it, but it was strangely familiar. Mathias soon found himself nearing the source and from that moment he recongnized the feeling. It was Madness. Only one god he knew could produce such feelings, is now all but dead. Mathias wished he was much more conversable than Trelás, the former God of Madness to him was nonsensical and sporadic. Such traits made it difficult for Mathias to get any reading on him besides threatening. As Mathias neared his destination he came upon a ruined village. Mathias felt pity for it's former inhabitants who are either dead or turned into those aberrations.

Mathias searched the village to come upon what must be the deity he was searching for. While Mathias sensed all matters of energy, at this moment he seemed peaceful enough to approach, Mathias cautiously walked up to the sitting god. "Greetings, new born." Mathias spoke in an caring, yet authoritative voice. "An interesting meeting place if I do say so myself." Mathias looked around. "Such a terrible waste." Mathias commented more to himself than the god. "So then, I assume you must be rather confused about your surroundings or maybe yourself?" "Any questions you wish to ask, I shall do my best to provide the answers." Mathias spoke as he gave quick bow before his young kin. He awaited his words.

"Why bow before me?" Veltrez stood up still in his holy form. "Do you know what happened to this place? " Veltrez was saddened that this place was in ruin. The young god's form was turning back to his neutral state. He can remember what he does in his other forms quite well. "I'm sorry, but I have quite a bit of questions." Veltrez was extremely confused not knowing anything about himself. "Do you know who I am and what I am?" His form changed back to being holy once more. "I am sorry, but my forms seem to randomly appear." Veltrez avoided eye contact, since it usually caused morta ls to lose their sanity. The god decided to paint in the colors of madness, since he had company he decided to give the brush to the other god. He hoped the god had no questions for him, since he didn't even know what he was. He felt a slight smile forming on his face from the new idea he had. He grabbed the paint he was using and gave it a mind of it's own, he wished to see what would be painted. The paint itself assorted itself into an image of the god of madness that was before Veltrez. Veltrez was visibly baffled, he turned to the other god. " Who is this person? I don't remember ever meeting him before. Veltrez's form began changing to his neutral form. "Amazing I didn't know that my creations could make such marvelous art."
In his neutral form he didn't understand that the painting was of a god that was dead. He decided he would make creations to help rebuild these ruins, since he thought it would look much better not destroyed. He carved a body for his creation using a tool left behind in the debris, he made the bones out of marble, and the muscles out of plants. To finish his creation, he gave it a mouth to communicate if needed. He then gave it a mind of it's own to be able to think and not be a mindless zombie. "Do you need anything to be done sir?" Said the creation. Veltrez was happy at the creation he just made and replied with " Rebuild this town if you can." He sat patiently waiting for the town to be rebuilt, but the town would turn out different then it originally was. He remembered that he had company and turned to the other god. "I'm sorry I forgot you were here, I guess my unpredictability is a bit annoying to you. "

Mathias

From his first meeting with this god, Mathias came to find he is very scatterbrained and seems to shift forms and personalities. While he doesn't appear to be as manic as Trelás he is no less sporadic. Mathias felt a bit tested with the young god ignoring him and forgetting about him. But Mathias was patient, just on end from the great war. Mathias took a deep breath and spoke.

"Do not trouble yourself with my concerns," "You have not disrespected me." Mathias pulled on a smile and waved his hand dismissively. "Anyway, I shall answer your questions." Mathias looked at him with seriousness. "The following information your are about to hear should be heeded." Mathias warned. "What happened to this place, was the result of a great Cataclysm." "As far as I could tell, all life was wiped out by it and only a handful of us gods survived." Mathias explained about the others. "As for who you are, I know not of your name, but I do know you are my kin, as you are the kin of the other surviving gods." "For that is what you are, a god." Mathias spoke.

Mathias watched the God of Madness paint and surprisingly it's the image of Trelás. Strange, perhaps he feels a connection? Mathias decided to answer his question. "Now as for the person in the painting, that was Trelás, The God of Madness and Music." "Unfortunately he was one of the gods that died during the Cataclysm." Mathias thought of when he saw that constellation in the sky and the sudden omen of events to come. It sent a shiver down his spine thinking about that moment in the Hall. Acanthus' grim tidings and our startled reactions. Mathias began to feel great sadness as he lost the smile he had.

Mathias sighed and the looked towards the young god. "I'm afraid I didn't introduce myself." "I am Mathias, and I am the God of Justice." Mathias proclaimed. "As for me bowing before you, I do it as a courtesy and sign of respect to my kin." Mathias gave a quick smile before losing it to solemness. "Now are their anymore questions you wish to ask?" Mathias asked as he continued to study this god. While his unstable nature gave caution he still hasn't done anything alarming. It's too early to tell whether this god's intentions are good or not. So far he's wanting to rebuild this town was a good sign but Mathias hasn't decided to drop suspicion yet.

"Yes, I have one question remaining." "Who are the other gods that survived this Cataclysm?" Veltrez wanted to know that, since he knew some gods weren't good and may try to deceive him. Although this god, Mathias, he seemed as if he wouldn't be threat to Veltrez as long as he didn't do anything to cause alarm. He then went on to create more of the same creation he made before and told them to start rebuilding this town. He started by rebuilding the main building, then he would rebuild the rest of the buildings varying by importance. He felt his form turn devilish for a second wearing a wicked grin, in that second he raised his fist against Mathias ready to fight the god to crush his self confidence. Before he did any harm to the god his form reverted back to neutral. "I'm terribly sorry my control over my form is weak." His creations hid when he turned to his devilish form, but when he reverted back to his neutral form they returned to work rebuilding the town. Veltrez decided to create ten elite soldiers to fight in his name. When he created them half of them were evil and the other half was good, but they both held a loyalty to his neutral form and wished to prove that they were better then the other five. They each had simple control over an aspect of the mind. He didn't mean to make half of the elites good and the other half evil, but it was natural for him to make some of the evil and some of them good. "I think I just did something I shall severely regret later on." He didn't wish to take their lives, for it would be cruel to live for so little time.

Mathias continued to watch the god as he spoke his question. Mathias was prepared to answer before something startling occurred. After he made more creations, another change occurred. This was beginning to become regular until the form he assumed was different from the others. This was the form that caused the greatest worry in Mathias' mind. The source of dangerous chaotic energies that shifted with the others. When he made a gesture of offense, Mathias was prepared to defend himself if need be. As of now, he is tired of fighting and would prefer to avoid it. Still with this god, there is a lot of variables. How long does this form last? If they cannot communicate civilly, should he fight? Mathias was guarded and prepared for the worse, but fortunately conflict was averted.

The god's form once again changed to a more preferable one. He apologized for his out burst. "Yes, of course, it was of no consequence." Mathias spoke reassuringly. "Still I would suggest working on control when you can." Mathias spoke with concern. That sudden change made Mathias more cautious and more observant of the god. While his other forms seem pleasant enough, the last, should be kept under surveillance. This god despite his scatterbrained personality, seems not a cause of trouble like Kreios. After all Trelàs didn't do anything damaging when he was alive, perhaps this one will be the same. Not a threat but someone to be aware of. Mathias decided to answer his question once he finished more of his creations.

"Well the other gods who survived the Cataclysm are our kin." "There is Acanthus, The God of Magic and Wisdom." "He is a very kind god, like a father to us." "I'm sure you'll like him, he views all of us with love and value." Mathias paused and considered who else to speak of. "There's Adarani, Goddess of Love." "She's a very kind goddess and has a gift for healing." "There's Aspestis, kind of a strange fellow." "He's the God of Illness." "From what I know of him, he's very well-mannered and some what nervous for a god." Mathias paused and thought about the last of them. "There's Nylia, I not well acquainted with her, but she is very strong and tenacious." "She is the Goddess of Revenge and Manipulation." "Despite her titles she has been a very great ally to us in our struggles with the chaotic forces in the world." Mathias paused once again.

His mind drifted to the last two, Cragin and "Laska". Mathias looked at the new god and spoke. "There is my brother, Cragin. He's a....difficult one to read...uh mysterious, silent, strong...uh it's a bit hard to put him in words." "Just know he is a very proud individual, one who is a true friend and brother." "Even though he may come off as intense and rude at times." "Just know his intentions are made for the good in mind." "He will never quit, I know that much about him." Mathias paused as he looked at the new god of madness. "There is one more, but I know nothing of her." "She appeared at the end of the great Cataclysm, her name is Laska, I know not much else of her, except say she radiates peace." "Sorry I wish I could tell you more of her, but I would like to know more about her myself." Mathias gave a chuckle.

Mathias looked at him and gave another smile. "Well I hoped I answered your questions as best as I could." "Is there anything else?" Mathias asked.

"Yes, is there any way I can meet these other gods? And how could Lasksa be formed near the outburst of chaotic energy and not be evil? I'm guessing the outburst of chaotic energy caused my dual personalities, so shouldn't it have done the same to her? Doesn't this strike you as a bit suspicious about her? I can radiate peace and chaos both, so couldn't someone else do the same?" The young god didn't think that someone would be free of the corruption of chaos if they were born so close to the actual war. He calculated the many outcomes possible and in his mind were playing out millions of different scenarios. He stared into space still playing out the different possibilities in his mind. He snapped out of his trance like state and returned to consciousness, he then turned to Mathias. "Excuse me, but do you even know who this Laska person is? If it's all possible may you not drag me into any conflict that may occur in the future? I doubt I would be help to either side, since I can be both good and evil." Veltrez knew history sometimes repeated itself as that was the way the simple minds of immortals and mortals worked. He laughed " And they call me insane, their minds can't resist being directed one way." He thought that to himself. He thought that perhaps having a way to communicate would be good. " Do you have a way to communicate with me from a distance?" Most of the town was rebuilt he was happy, but the town would remain a ghost town for a while. He decided to leave his creations here to work on fixing the town in case it was ever destroyed again. He then waited for a response to his questions.

Mathias noticed the urgency in his voice. All of his questions were good ones concerning Laska. Mathias knows nothing about her except single-handedly wining the war. Mathias decided to speak to him in a calm manner. "Yes, I've had suspicions of her, but I have nothing concrete to cause an investigation." "As far as I know with out her, we wouldn't be standing here right now." Mathias spoke as he continued to think about her. It was a godsend but was it too good to be true? Then came more words of wisdom and a request of all things. Mathias looked at him and gave a sigh.

"I know nothing of her, except say she's another Goddess." "She does seem to have great power though...." Mathias looked at him and gave a nod. "That isn't up to me, it depends on how you act is what determines what conflict befalls you." "Sometimes it's unavoidable even if you wish to remain outside of it." Mathias paused and then placed a hand on his chest. "While I can't stop forces of conflict reaching you, I will promise you that I won't be one of those forces." Mathias pledged as he placed his hand to his side. He then asked for a way of communication and Mathias thought about it. "Well I do but lets say those ways are not always willing to work." Then Mathias looked down to his hand. He pulled of the grey glove to reveal his hand. There as he left it was the ring Acanthus gave them when they first met.

Peering upon that ring brought back memories of a much better time. It seemed like forever since that point in his life, he can't help but remember the world as it was. Heaviness weighed on his heart as nostalgia reared it's head to drag him down memory lane. Mathias shook his head, knowing he is keeping the new god waiting. Mathias placed the glove in his mouth as he brought his two hands together. Magic began to glow and radiate from within and soon Mathias created a construct. Taking inspiration from Acanthus' item, he created not a ring, but a badge of communication. Mathias with his naked hand held out the silver badge to the new god, while he took the glove out of his mouth with his free hand. "Here this is a silver badge, you can use to communicate with me." "Yet I warn you, I may not always be able to answer, so please don't rely to awfully much on it." Mathias spoke as he waited for the new god to take this boon.

Veltrez took the badge and wore it, he hoped his changing forms wouldn't disrupt it. " I wont rely on it too much, I'll just use this when something interesting is happening and I think you should know about it. " Veltrez's form was neutral, but he didn't feel like flying at the moment. He turned to the other god and said "I shall be leaving now, you can follow me if you wish to." He walked for quite a while not knowing if the other god was following him or just going somewhere else. He passed many things and rebuilt many destroyed places. His elite warriors were following him constantly on guard expecting something to attack their patron god. He felt no need to worry about himself, but he did feel worried about his creations since they cant fly away when being attacked. Eventually he decided he would need to create his own civilization and sat down and began writing the Scroll of mind a book explaining the principles of his soon to be made civilization. He decided he may need help from the other gods, since it would be idiotic to create a civilization on his own. It would be weak without the knowledge the other gods may provide to help him. In his scroll he wrote down the laws and things like that. It was a simple scroll that would be added upon depending on the input other gods had to offer, since he heard of the god named Acanthus he hoped that he could meet him. Acanthus seemed like the god who could help him the most, but he had no idea on how to find him. He reached the Eye of Creation and flew west from there and kept a steady flap over the ocean wondering on what to do next.

Ahuv

Ahuv saw Acanthus cock his head and knew what he was thinking. The truth was, the reasoning was twofold. "Well, for one thing, since it would have been some time for a group of Chaos Beasts, if any, would find water here, I figured I would be able to remain hidden here, somewhat. Though, since you mentioned it was already over, my estimates were far from accurate." He lifted his head a half way. "The other reason was, there could have been others who came here, as well." Lifting his head all the way, now, the Blue Crane continued. "You may find this odd, but I recently encountered a deity with only half the power a regular one would have. It felt heavily familiar, to say the least. What I sensed was similar to Miurcrost, yet it was only one part. My guess is the shrine of Miurcrost contained his power and memories upon his death and a divine seed landed on it, creating twins instead of just one immortal. The one I saw was female, with a mask and robe. Whoever she and her twin are, I suspect they are now filling the gap Miurcrost left, becoming the new deities of Artifice and Freedom."

Adarani

Adarani's meditation came to a stop when she sensed a deity coming closer. This one seemed similar to Trelas, yet more out of control in personality. There was good and evil at the same time, at the same level as each other. We have a new God of Madness? At first, the Elder Goddess of Love did not know what to do, due to the unpredictability. However, her curiosity and willingness to be hospitable outweighed the risks. She transformed into a dove, again, and flew towards the younger God. Her aura radiated so that he could feel it. While she was in front of him, she jerked her dove head in a motion which indicated she wanted the new God of Madness to follow her. She hoped he would.

Once they were over one of ther islands, Adarani landed and reverted back to her humanoid form, her blue dress knee-length. She looked up at the sky to see if the God followed her. This was the first new deity she saw since the Cataclysm.

Veltrez

Veltrez didn't really feel like if she was a threat at all, since the aura she was radiating fit the description of the god named Adarani he decided to see what she would be like in person. "Hello, I'm guessing your Adarani." He landed on the island and sat down next to the god and was studying her response to his questions. "I've only met the god Mathias, so please don't take me as rude. I just don't know how to respond to the current situation that I'm in. Anyways, nice to meet you I'm Veltrez." He said that all smiling a timid smile, inviting, but not too strong. His form then changed to his holy form, but he didn't feel the need to run before he changed. This form wouldn't do any damage to the goddess. " I'm sorry, but my forms change randomly and with them changes my personality. Don't take anything I do as an offense to you, it is just the way my fragmented mind works. "
He drew random symbols in the ground with his finger not really having any purpose besides just being art, but you see this symbol would soon be named the Capricorn symbol and that is the symbol of this god. He then suddenly had a worried expression his face, since he was about to change to his devilish form. He jumped into the water hoping his other form wouldn't be able to get out of it. As soon as he hit the water his body convulsed and changed form, he now radiated an aura of evil and insanity that would cause fear into mortals. His now enlarged hand grasped the edge of the island trying to pull himself back up, but his saunter was now limited to a slow crawl. His armor was weighing him down a lot. It wasn't pitiful at the very least he still had the aura of insanity to him. As soon as he got to Adarani his form changed back to holy. A saddened expression was on his face. "I'm sorry, but this is the sort of madness I have to put up with." He felt saddened in this form, but in his neutral form he would feel a bit saddened, but not too much. He laid down on the ground waiting to see the reaction this god had to his madness. He just hoped she wouldn't be too mad at him form almost hurting her.

Adarani nodded to Veltrez's question, a closed-mouth grin on the side of her face. Once she heard his name, she now realized the reason for his aura of mixed alignment as the power within the name filled her veins. He was the God of Madness, Ruler of the Mind, and Lord of the Unpredictable. His alignment and personality changed constantly, a result of his portfolio of Madness that he received after Trelas' death. That fact was even more obvious when Veltrez took on his holy form.

"I'm sorry, but my forms change randomly and with them changes my personality. Don't take anything I do as an offense to you, it is just the way my fragmented mind works."

The Elder Goddess of Love's grin grew wider. She appreciated his honesty. It reminded her of the time Mathias spoke about having had help building the structures he did in Paradise before the Cataclysm terrorized the Middle Realm. She missed those moments she spent with him before Kreios' trial, yet was unsure why. Her innocent-looking eyes watched as Veltrez drew symbols, which eventually formed the Capricorn, possibly the new God of Madness' symbol. The look on his face, worried her, even more so when he plunged into the sea.

Adarani made ready for combat by getting into one of her more defensive martial arts stances. She waited until he was about to strike to react, but by then, Veltrez already changed back into his holy form. He now felt deep remorse, an emotion she did not like seeing in anyone.

"I'm sorry, but this is the sort of madness I have to put up with." He felt saddened in this form, but in his neutral form he would feel a bit saddened, but not too much. He laid down on the ground, waiting for the Elder Goddess' reaction.

Adarani was not angry, however. She understood from hearing his name, in the first place. Every deity had the ability to determine each others' nature just by hearing those names. She wanted to help him with his problem, even if it would not remove it completely. "I think I know of a plant in this rainforest that can help. Hold on." Changing into a dove, she flew up to the tree tops, examining the leaves. Once she found what she was looking for, she plucked some of the leaves with her beak before landing next to Veltrez, returning to her humanoid form with the leaves in her right hand, equipment right next to her left foot.

"This will take a bit, in the meanwhile..." She placed a hand on his forehead, allowing some of the Paradise energy to enter him. Hopefully, it would help keep the form-shifting under control, at least partially, anyway. Adarani got to work immediately, crushing the leaves in a bowl, pouring fresh water from the lake on the island before stirring the powder from crushing the leaves until it all dissolved into the water. Now that the medicine was ready, she presented the bowl to Veltrez, her gentle smile returning to her face. "Here, drink this. It is Sanuut, an herb medicine made from the leaves of a Grantiiro tree. It will help to keep your form-shifting under control by delaying it."

Once the paradise energy entered him Veltrez gained a bit more control, but not much to be able to choose when to shift. Just enough to stop from shifting if he tried hard enough. "Thank you for trying, but I do not know how this will react to my body or my powers. It may just decrease the amount of control I have at the moment. I can not predict what will happen to me when I drink this, but I shall try." Veltrez took the bowl from her and stared at it a bit nervously. He sincerely hoped that the unpredictability he has wouldn't screw him over. He drank it expecting his body to blow up for some reason, instead it did exactly what Adarani said it could do. Veltrez realized the exact opposite of what he was expecting to happen happened. He went back to his neutral form, but he knew that this form would only be kept for a while. His body could decide to change forms whenever it felt like it wanted to. He had control over his body, but he didn't know how to control his body yet. He was still a young god after all and he was a dangerous one too. He wouldn't be much help in conflict, it would be better for both sides to keep him out of it, since he could change forms any second in a battle.

Veltez wanted to go somewhere calm to think about what just happened and try to analyze his mind. He wished to see what he could figure out about the madness he had, since he may be able to get rid of his paranoia that he may kill someone in his devilish form. He went to paradise not knowing he could do such a thing, it just felt natural for him to go here. He sat down and folded his wings and entered a state of intense thinking. If any mortal could know what Veltrez was thinking they would surely fall into complete madness from the sheer amount of possibilities that were playing out in the young god's head. A god on the other hand would be confused to the jumbled mess the mad god's mind was. There was no real rhyme or reason shown in his thoughts, but to him it made perfect sense. He waited and hoped he would come across another god who could perhaps shed some more light on his mind.

This world was quite strange, but he liked the gods he met so far. Mathias seemed to be The Elder God of Justice and Civilization and Adarani seemed to be The Elder Goddess of Love, Healing, and Fertility. He was in his neutral form emanating an aura of evil and good in the same amount. He felt like if his body would change form any second now, but he had no idea what to do. He smiled and decided to let his mind take him to any given location, but what happened he didn't expect. He felt his form change demonic and he felt like destroying some mortal's minds, but instead of doing it directly he decided he would test something out. He used his finger to carve out a drawing in the stone, but the great thing about this drawing was that when looked upon too closely by a mortal. The mortal would see the actual complexity of it and begin losing their mind if they stared at it too much, but the drawing was compelling to look at. His form changed once again and this time he became holy, but he felt disappointed in his other form. Although he couldn't do anything about this creation that his other form made, instead he decided to make a reflection of it that would instead soothe the mind. This new drawing was a beautiful drawing that would calm any mortal and intrigue them, but the best thing it did was help get rid of madness. His form then returned to neutral, but this time he created something that marked this creation as his. The sign of the capricorn was what he created to mark this, but it wasn't complete. It was missing something, so he waited for a god to pass by and give him an idea for his creation. To get a better view he flew in the air and stayed there waiting for a new god to cross his path. He hoped his dual nature wouldn't annoy the god that came to him.

The twin deities had travelled some time before they arrived where they currently were. Shock of meeting the strange and violent creature not too long ago had kept the arguments to a minimum, escaping the creature had taken precedence. They walked in a random direction, following an instinct that neither could truly describe. All they knew was that they were following something whose aura was similar to their own. It wasn’t long before they came upon the being that was the source of this aura.

As the pair looked up in the air they saw something flying there. A being that radiated both good and evil. ”Check it out! What is that thing?”The female half asked, grinning as she looked up at the winged creature. The male half only shrugged, studying the same being. ”Sheesh, yer as good as useless ain’t ya?” The female half responded, irritation in her voice obvious. The male half shrugged once more, the strange being in the sky absorbing his full attention. ”Ya think that thing’ll be like the other one?” The female half asked once more, poking the male half in the side of the head in a misguided effort to elicit some form of response beyond shrugging. ”I hope not.” Was the only response she got for her efforts. ”Sheesh, talk about a stick in the mud. For now let’s call out to that thing than, eh?” The female half said once more, sounding more exasperated than before. ”That seems like the wise course of action at this juncture.” The male half said, nodding once before both their heads turned to the sky, while lifting their hands trying to get the flying creatures attention.

”Greetings, winged one. May we ask what you are?” They said in unison, the male half smiling kindly and the female half grinning with malice.

The young god stopped and flew towards the creatures, but not close enough to be attacked by the creature. He wasn't sure what it was, perhaps it was a new god like him, but what god would be shaped like this? He felt no need to be hateful towards this creature, since he hasn't even met it yet. "I am Veltrez, and you are?" He hooped that this god or whatever it was wouldn't cause him any trouble, but before he could get a response to his question his form changed to devilish. "I wonder if you bleed, since I do not know I shall see for myself." He was mad to challenge a god not even knowing what this god could do to him, but being sane wasn't one of this god's main goals.

His aura emanated madness that would destroy a mortal's mind and his fist raised in a sign of violence, but before he could do any damage to the other god his form returned to neutral. " I hope I will not cause an inconvenience to you, being an unpredictable mess has its downfalls." He thought this god would attack him, since he showed his dual nature. He hoped the god would at least take the time to understand that what he does is far beyond his control, or at least that's what he thinks. He knew he could easily frustate people and cause paranoia to seep into the minds of beings, but even he was frustrated with his own capricious ways. He could be fighting someone one minute and speaking casually to them the next. He did not know what to do about it, since the thing that Adarani gave him to control his forms didn't work, perhaps this was part of a mental issue and not a physical one. "Gah" He didn't know what to make of it and was looking to be insane mumbling to himself.

His form then changed once again to his holy form, but this time he felt like waiting to see what the god in front of him thought before asking any more questions. He remembered to add something to the words he said. " Please ignore my violent behavior and tell me your name." He said this with a calm tone to his voice. He emanated an aura that could fix the broken minds of the mentally unstable, but sadly he could not heal himself. He sat down and waited patiently to see what the god in front of him had to say about his strange behavior and constantly changing views of the world.

The twin deities smiled a little brighter when they saw they winged creature approach and got a got look at him. Unlike the monster of the night this one was more like themselves, balanced between good and evil. And when they heard his name Veltrez a strange new feeling washed over the pair and they knew what manner of creature it was. It was a creature with dominion over the mind. Yet before they had a chance to answer the creatures question, it changed, its previous features so similar to their own changed into a more devilish perversion of what it was.

"I wonder if you bleed, since I do not know I shall see for myself."

The male half was clearly taken aback, a slight gasp escaping from its lips as the female half began grinning even wider. ”Oh! Did ya see that?! See, this is much better!” the female half exclaimed happily, as she raised her hand, ready to strike. Yet the creature changed just as suddenly, turning back to its neutral form, and the twins once more settled back, sensing no further danger from it. They looked at each other for a moment, not sure what to make of the creature or it’s apology. ”Ya think he does that on purpose?” The female half asked, her previous excitement forgotten as she studied both her brother and the creature in turn. The male half simply shook his head, turning back to the creature with some sadness in his eyes. ”He would not apologize for the unpredictability if he did.”

As soon as both had their attention on the creature it changed once more, this time into a spectacular example of divinity, and neither of the pair could deny the goodness of this new form. This time the male half smiled happily at recognizing a creature like himself. The female half simply snarled and looked away slightly disappointed. Yet both instinctively knew that they had found something truly similar to themselves, not just in the dual nature of their being, but beyond that. Yet, they had no idea what that might be.

"Please ignore my violent behaviour and tell me your name."

The pair looked at eachother once more, uncertainty clear in their faces. ”Name?” The pair said in perfect unison. Not sure what such a thing might entail. Then then thought back at what the creature had said. Veltres and the feeling they felt when they first heard that name. They both smiled and looked at Veltres, before saying: ”We are Equallis and Disballis. And we have travelled a long way to find one such as ourselves. Tell us, do you know what we are?” The question was asked nearly pleadingly, as four eyes longing for knowledge looked at the winged image of holiness in front of them.

Veltrez knew the answer to this was simple. "You are one god, but two minds. I am correct right? The god of duality and balance." He felt that knowledge come to him as soon as he heard his name, but he was baffled at how easily he knew this from just a name. His mind was much clearer in this state and he could actually think correctly, but he felt a lot of new power rising from new borns like him. Yet he felt no danger from the other gods that were being born. The young god's eyes held a glint of wonder in them. He knew he would probably be used as a scapegoat for many things to come by those who's intent would be evil, but he felt content that he found a god with the same sort of duality he had. He turned to them a smile on his face "I do not know much about this world, for you see I am a young god. Perhaps another god could answer the questions you expect me to be able to answer."

Once again his form changed to neutral, emanating the aura of evil and good he usually did. "My mind is fragmented, whatever knowledge I may give you is the knowledge you should already have in your subconscious. The mind is an interesting thing to explore, for it is where the secrets of a person lie and the memories of one exist. " The young god had the perfect idea to add to his creation he made earlier, so now he had statues of all three of his forms showing the balance in his alignment. He could be evil and mad, and decide to walk into the wild where the chaos beasts live. Or he could be peaceful and helpful, and help those with broken minds fix their mind. In his neutral form he could provide an un-biased insight into the world, but this wiseness only came from the fact that he was neutral in his alignment. At the moment his good form seemed the form to come out the most, but his evil form could cause more effect on the world when he came out. It was only a matter of time before his evil form became the form to come out more and his good form to come out less. The young god's unpredictability caused paranoia in many gods and people, but his two forms which caused no trouble made the gods and people who knew he was a danger not attack him considering he wasn't completely evil. Innocence could be a bad thing when in the hands of unpredictability. His form could decide to do exactly what you expect it to do, since that would be the less likely outcome or it could do the opposite of what you expect. It didn't favor any sides which was why he was neutral, instead it just changed his form depending on luck alone.

The young god decided to wait a for a response to his actions. He did not know what to expect, but he knew this god was similar to him in the fact that they were both dual.

The pair simply looked at Veltrez in wonder and some pity. The continually shifting forms were so like their own, yet so different as well. Duality without balance was a sad thing, they decided, but they realised that this being was not one who needed pity. Theirs or those of others. They would have stood there in silence, pondering about this brother of theirs they had met, were they not disturbed by Veltrez’s next words.

"You are one god, but two minds. I am correct right? The god of duality and balance."

They had heard the word god before. They had realized that the god in front of them possessed dominion over the mind by just hearing his name. And now he had done the same. The pair looked at each other and said: ”The god of balance and duality… yes.” Their happiness at knowing more of their own nature and knowing there were others like themselves was not diminished when the god explained his own youth and his current ignorance of this world. A kind smile appeared on both their faces when the god assisted them further by explaining their own subconscious knowledge. ”You have already answered things of more importance to us than you may realize. It would not be right of us to ask more of you without offering anything in return. A balance of exchange must be maintained.” They said, both now holding kind smiles on their faces as they looked upon the other god.

As suddenly as all the other god changed once more and began work on a statue. The pair could only watch in wonder at Veltrez’s skill. When he finished they suddenly realized there were now three statues, each representing a different form of Veltrez. Without thinking Equallis pointed to the statue of the statue of Veltrez’s holy form and Disballis to the statue of Veltrez’s evil form. They spoke at once, yet this time their voices did not join to form a third voice and instead they simply spoke at the same time. ”I like that one!” ”I prefer that one!” Almost as soon as they were done they turned to glare at one another. ”What, are ya stupid? Who can like such a senselessly selfless thing? Its idiotic! That’ll never work!” Disballis hissed through her teeth, her tiny eyes shining with malice. ”How foolish of you. Strength without constraint can never survive. It will destroy, or be destroyed. Even if it were victorious at every juncture, in the end it would be the only thing left, unable to create, unable to survive.” Equallis retorted, shaking his head in disappointment.

Then, they looked at the centre statue. Their eyes drawn to it, to its perfection. So drawn were they, that even the grand awakenings of some of the new gods were like a gentle rocking of a crib. ”Kindness with strength, strength with constraint. Balanced in their duality, perfection in Balance.” The two said, their voices filled with nearly unconstrained joy, this god was truly like themselves. They both smiled at the new god. ”You are truly a wonderful being. ” They said before remembering the ants they created at the beginning of their journey. ”We know we said we did not feel right about asking more of you, when you have already given us so much. Yet one question still burns, brighter than any other. Have you created anything that moved? And if so, may we see it? In may not be much, but in exchange we shall endeavour to assist you in any way you may wish, as long as it is within our power to do so.” They said, curiosity burning in their eyes, as the ground beneath them stirred, and dirt gave way to small insects and spiders, each scurrying off to seek shelter.

Veltrez pondered this question for a bit. "Why yes I have, but they are just creations to help me build and paint. " He created the being made of paint he made come to life earlier, since this was his favorite being. It painted without a side to be on, it's paintings neither depicted good nor evil. They were simply paintings that showed many things implanted in the god's subconscious mind. This being had no real form, it was just a paint that could move. It had many colors and painted freely without constraint. His other creation, a simple golem of stone, was only there to help him make buildings and repair the ones that were ruined. Neither had a mind of their own, for with a mind they would choose a side to be on , and he wanted them to be neutral and carefree.

His most perfect creation was a set of mortals made by him. They were beautiful when put side by side and were lead by a neutral party that would pick what to do. The five warriors on the left were bloodthirsty and would kill without constraint, while the warriors on the right were prideful and would only kill those not innocent. The middle warrior was exactly the way Veltrez's neutral form was described by the god of duality.

He decided that he wouldn't really need any help from them at the moment, but he did think of something. "May you accompany me to where I shall create my civilization? It is fine if you do not wish to." He remembered something very important "If you may, could you perhaps make a being that could supervise the system of justice in my civilization? It would be most helpful if you could." He hoped to wait for an answer and would begin traveling to the Icewalkers region as soon as he had the chance to travel.

The twin deities looked with wonder upon the many creations of their newly discovered brother. All creatures so unlike their own creations. Wonderfully colourful beings and a great being made entirely of stone. But most of their intent was drawn to the cadre of warriors, who seemed like a mortal mirror image of their patron deity. Unbidden and indeed, somewhat carefully, they touched the forehead of the neutral leader and spoke a few careless words to the being. ”May you be blessed in maintaining neutrality amongst your kin.” The words came so naturally, ignorant of what consequences a blessing from a god might or might not have in the future.

"May you accompany me to where I shall create my civilization? It is fine if you do not wish to."

The offer surprised the young deities, the concept of a civilization had not occurred to them as of yet. In fact, the fact the being he had just blessed was in any way different from the colourful beings of paint had not even registered within their young minds. But the next offer was the one that nearly unbalanced the deities of Balance, to create their own being capable of making decisions beyond any instinctive need was something wonderful indeed. Both of the deities smiled, creativity dawning in their minds. ”We would relish the chance to accompany you there.”

And so the twin deities would follow Veltrez to where he would create his civilization. Along the way they would ask what he intended his civilization to be like. And upon arrival, as they observed Veltrez in whatever he had come to do here, at the starting point of his civilization, start work to create their first intelligent mortal. They would sculpt a being of dirt, grass and stone. A tall being, with four arms and two legs, with multifaceted eyes and a tough exoskeleton, with powerful mandibles around his mouth and most importantly, comprised of equal parts evil and good, perfectly in balance. They had thought to add a tail with a stinger, but no. Such aggressive additives were not required of this creatures. His agelessness and strength would be all that was needed to accomplish the task he was born to. Once the mould was completed, Disballis pulled a splinter from her arm and stuck it in the chest of their new creation. Equallis plucked a single fruit from one of his branches and placed it in the mouth of their new creation. Finally they breathed life into the being and forced awareness and intelligence along with it.

They looked proudly upon their new creation and said a few simple words for him. ”You are the arbiter, first of our children and servant of the god Veltrez, may you serve him well.” They would then turn to Veltrez, pride evident in their expressions as they said: ”We hope he serves you well. He will represent duality and balance like we do, and make no decisions with favouritism. Though, we must admit we know nothing of Justice or what such a concept might entail… so he must be versed by another being in such matters before he is truly ready for the task.”

He bowed to his newly found friends and smiled, "Thank you, and you have just gained an ally with me. " He decided to let the civilization explain itself, instead of him explaining it. He started by making golems to make the kingdom, but this time he made many instead of a little bit of golems. "I shall ask Mathias to help me in this endeavor, but for now I must make a suitable kingdom for them to reside in.

He started by making the castle that separated both sides of his kingdom. On the right side was dementia or anger and strength, and on the left side was mania or happiness and art. He made both sides a different colors. He put his golems on every part of the kingdom and made a duke and duchess to control the golems. He then decided to allow the citizens to be mortals that wish to live freely with art or freely with sins. The most important law his kingdom would have is to never cross the line into the other side, unless you wish to live on the other side. You can only choose to live in one side at a time, but you can leave that side once a month has passed. He decided he would consult Mathias for help with setting up his system and helping the mortal that Equallis And Disballis created.

For now he would wait for his golems to finish creating his kingdom. He turned to the god of duality "You can leave if you wish, for I am only waiting for my kingdom to be completed." He laid down on the ground waiting patiently. He remembered he would need citizens, so he created mortals that wore masks depicting their personalities. He created an equal number of good and evil, but they would each have to go to their respective sides. He would now wait with his mortals for the kingdom to be created.

((OOC: I'll put the intelligent mortals Veltrez creates in the created beings tab.))

The pair was at a loss on how to respond. They did not fully comphrehend the concept of an “ally” yet understood the significance of what Veltrez had said. ”That means we’re friends right?” Disballis said to her brother, smiling awkwardly. ”I would imagine so.” Equallis said as he nodded, before the pair joined their voices together and said to Veltrez: ”And you in us, Veltrez.”
Equallis watched Veltrez create his mortals and their kingdom with fascination and more than a little adoration for his brother. But more importantly he learned what a mortal civilization might look like. Apparently it needed leaders and mortals needed places to live in. ”How annoying, can’t they just dig holes into the ground like that digging guy did?” Disballis said, clearly bored with the entire affair. Equallis didn’t bother to respond, instead he continued watching Veltrez work. Even the mention of another god like them named Mathias did little to stir him from his observation of Veltrez. When their brother was done they nodded and decided to use the example the strange burrowing god had given them when he left. A few words before leaving, maybe that was how all gods did it? ”Thank you for showing us the birth of your civilization… brother.” The word came without either having thought of it before, yet it felt right. ”Must be a subconscious thing…” mumbled Disballis as they wandered off, looking for a quiet spot to create anew.

Upon finding such a quiet spot their work began. First, Equallis would take the lead and removed a part of wood from his chest and used it to form a creature like the Arbiter, yet different, more graceful, standing on four legs instead of two to support its large abdomen like the ones he saw on the rear end of his ants. Equallis smiled, this creature’s beauty would truly be the envy of all. He decided he would make it female, like his sister, but much more refined, kind and loving in nature. He looked down upon the tiny creature, not even close to the size of the Arbiter. Something was not quite right just yet…

As Equallis pondered Disballis’ patience got the better of her and she started work of her own, dragging Equallis along in a supportive role. She removed a slab of wood from her chest and placed it on the ground, to serve as her base material. Unlike Equallis’ wound hers did not heal, instead she pulled a few of the long white leafs from Equallis’ head and simply stitched each end of the wound back together. Her being would be none of the soft lovey crap her brother seemed to like. No, the Arbiter was a good model, but it needed a long tail with a stinger! Yes! And many spikes protruding from its chitinous exoskeleton. Fearsome indeed! And that brown colour was so pre-cataclysm, no it needed to be fearsome, mostly black with fearsome red streaks accentuating its authority. Finally, Equallis’ jab had not gone unnoticed and she made the creature male, but fierce, grim, strong and warlike. Ready to fight at a moment’s notice. Large and in charge, that’s how a man should be. But even Disballis could not shake the feeling something was missing from her creation, something vital.

”So… how do mortals create other mortals anyway? It’d be such a pain to make each and every one by ourselves. I mean, seriously, talk about a drag.” She said, her brow furrowing as she stared at the two tiny creatures before them. Equallis’ shook his head, pondering the same question. ”Perhaps they somehow breed?” Equallis said, as Disballis nodded. They were on to something there. But how did that work? They grasped the core concept but could not figure out how to do it. ”Wanna give that subconscious thing a try again?” Disballis said, turning to her brother who simply nodded and closed his eyes, both focusing strongly on what they imagined must be how mortals reproduced. And then they felt it, a tiny spark, something that felt similar to what they felt their idea for reproduction amongst mortals might feel like. They looked at one another before saying in unison: ”As good an option as any other.”

They gathered dirt and grass around the tiny chrysalis forms of their new creations and formed it into a thick organic shell to protects them during the journey. These creatures would need to grow when they emerged from their cocoons, but first they needed to be finished. They both picked up their creation gingerly and headed off into the direction of the Goddess of Fertility.
