Wang Rou ❀ The White Peony ❀
SPEECH: #3369A0

He stumbled after Lu Cai, nowhere near his usual graceful self. Sitting on the edge of the prince's bed, Wang Rou took another deep breath to try and regain control of himself. At least with Lu Cai nearby, he seemed to be able to get a better grasp on his own thoughts as the haze that had settled over his mind began to clear away. The prince always did have that sort of calming effect on him.

But then Lu Cai did something completely unexpected. Before Wang Rou even had time to ask what the prince was babbling on about, he was being kissed. Wang Rou blinked a few times, but did not pull away. It took him a few seconds to react. Finally, he pulled back, staring at Lu Cai in shock as a dark blush crept across his cheeks.

"You... Why did you do that?" he asked breathlessly.

He should feel ashamed, perhaps, but as Wang Rou's eyes fell to Lu Cai's lips, all he could think about was how much he wanted that to happen again.

Heart, that poor heart was beating in his chest as if it was about to rip free and fly away. It was painful, and Cai didn't know why, but he just went with it. After Rou pulling away, it took him a moment to open his eyes, then blinked and looked at his friend. "Because someone told me tonight that it is best to do what your heart says?" He was confused. Cai liked Rou's soft lips, and he wanted to do that again, but instead... no, he was going to do that again!

Leaning even more in, he pressed another kiss on Rou's lips, making it swift yet strong, then leaned back and fell on his back, spreading all of his limbs. "You know, Rou Rou..." he murmured, smiling as Cai had closed his eyes, "Your lips are very warm and soft..." he was gradually falling asleep, but Cai didn't let himself. He couldn't. He wanted to kiss Rou even more, but something stopped him from doing that. "Rou Rou...," the Dragon Prince murmured softly, in a sing-song voice, "You taste better than any wine or heavenly sweets."

Then, he pushed himself up and walked over to the shelves behind a seating area. There was a small plant growing, and his fingers were lingering on the edge of the white pot. His smile vanished, while Rou only saw his muscular back. Cai was worried about his companion, very worried. Wang Rou wasn't like himself, because previously, even if Cai had teased the elf, Rou had managed to avoid or punish him in that usual manner.

Wang Rou ❀ The White Peony ❀
SPEECH: #3369A0

When Lu Cai kissed him a second time, Wang Rou closed his eyes to better enjoy the feel of the prince's lips pressing against his own, but it ended all to quickly. He leaned forward for a moment when Lu Cai pulled away, just barely managing to stop himself before he chased after the prince himself.

Wang Rou swallowed, touching his fingers to his lips as Lu Cai spoke about the feel and taste of them. He felt himself smile faintly, but it disappeared quickly. Lu Cai was drunk. He probably didn't know what he was saying, and would most likely forget all this in the morning. There was no reason for Wang Rou to see this as anything more than a drunken mistake on the prince's part.

He suddenly felt very tired again as his eyes lingered on Lu Cai's form.

"Dianxia," he began, attempting to stand but immediately collapsing back on the edge of the bed. Huffing softly, he remained sitting, pressing a hand to his forehead and closing his eyes to try and fight against the throbbing headache that was once again forming. "You should rest. Don't do or say anything more that you'll regret tomorrow."

Because surely, the crown prince, this beautiful man, would never want anything to do with Wang Rou in any romantic or physical way. Lu Cai was just drunk, and had just returned from a brothel. If he had run into someone other than Wang Rou, the same thing probably would have happened. After all, Wang Rou thought to himself, I'm nothing special. I'm not worthy of even a second glance from Lu Cai.

Cai, the Prince of TianShia, would fall apart without Wang Rou. He would be nothing, only a miserable and broken soul. Without Rou, he would have never found out that he had a Dragon spirit inside of him. "Dear friend," he spoke to his Guardian Spirit inside of his soul, "what I am about to ask from you, don't refuse, don't say no and for the love of Moon and Sun, don't ask why." He sighed, a tear starting to roll over his cheek, "Delete all the memories of the kisses that happened now and all the kisses that will happen in the future. Give them back if I ever earn to remember them again in your eyes." And with the finishing touch to the wish or request, Cai snatched one of the leaves from his plant and crushed it, the tear disappearing from his cheek as if it had never been there. Why he did what he did? It was only to protect Wang Rou and not to make it so complicated, knowing the wrath that Lu ZhenXi's father held in his grasp. That particular King wasn't kind, and if found out - Rou would've been at fault, even if it was all on Cai. He couldn't let that happen. Never.

The Dragon only nodded and did what was asked of him, even if he didn't like the request. He would do anything for the safety of his boy and anyone precious to Cai. Old Luo was right, it was time to make things move, and if it meant to keep these memories as a safekeeping until they were safe to be released, the Ancient Spirit was going to do so.

As Cai heard Rou collapse, he turned around quickly... or as quickly he managed in his own weak state. He was worried, and that was very clear in his dark eyes, flashing firey red for a mere moment. "Stay here, Wang Rou," he spoke quietly, not wanting to disturb his dear elf even more, "I will stay beside you. I am resting, right here, okay."

"Miu Miu!" he called out and white haired female peeked inside from the secret, back door that was invisible to those that didn't know to look for it, "prepare medicine and bring me herbal cloth with cold spring water. Quickly!" His handmaiden and loyal servant quickly hurried to bring what Prince had asked for.

"I'll be fine," he whispered, shaking his head and managing a small smile. "I should go back to my own chambers. I don't want to disturb you. You need rest."

Wang Rou attempted to stand again, but failed once more. This time, though, instead of falling back onto the bed, he fell to his knees with a soft grunt. His cheeks burned yet again with a dark blush, feeling incredibly embarrassed to be so weak in front of Lu Cai.

He couldn't stay here. Not after Lu Cai just kissed him like that. Wang Rou didn't trust himself or his thoughts.

"Dianxia," he murmured pleadingly, unable to raise his gaze due to the immense shame he felt, "Please have mercy on this undeserving servant... and help me back to my room."

Wang Rou wanted nothing more than to fall asleep with his beloved prince beside him, but that was out of the question. That was not a luxury that he deserved.

Cai, who failed to make Rou stay the first time, grabbed other man's fragile-looking shoulders after Rou had fallen onto his knees. "Listen, you stubborn stubborn man," he was not only getting more worried, but angry at Rou for not letting anyone help him, "you have seen me weak so many times, you have picked me up, taken care of me. You are not my servant, I have never thought like that nor felt like that, no matter what other people speak. You are my friend, my companion, my teacher and my savior. Let me help you, and if you refuse, I will have to use my skills to make you stay." He spoke and ended his honest, heartfelt speech with a very strong warning.

"Tell me, what or who managed to make you so shaken up, Rou Rou?" Cai asked, once more lowering his voice and pleaded the elf to lay down. Wang Rou was indeed stubborn, but so was Cai, and he wasn't going to let the man whom had sworn to protect him with his life to suffer.

The Madam of Peony Brothel had made it clear for him that night - it was love that he felt, or at least this was what she tried to tell him, but as usual - Cai didn't listen nor believe it. He insisted that it was loyalty, although Madam managed to shout after him as he waddled off and towards the palace: "Often loyalty IS love, boy."

"Please, Rou Rou," he finally whispered, pleading, "for once, let me take care of you. It will remain between the two of us. Miu Miu won't ever say anything, you know that."

Wang Rou ❀ The White Peony ❀

Wang Rou blinked slowly as he listened to Lu Cai lecture him. He knew there was no point arguing with the prince even if he had the energy to do so. As he was laid out on the bed, Wang Rou closed his eyes for a moment. He was surrounded by Lu Cai's scent, and it did wonders to calm him down.

Opening his eyes once again, he spoke slowly and quietly.

"ZhenXi showed me something earlier... It's hard to explain, I don't know what's happening," he admitted. "I just feel so tired and confused."

Wang Rou could feel his body heating up as a fever began settling in. Staring up at Lu Cai, his body seemed to move on its own, and he reached up to gently cup the prince's cheek.

"If it's you, Dianxia, I don't mind being taken care of," he whispered with a faint smile. "I would do anything for you. I trust you with my life."

"Good, finally you are listening to me," he smiled, but very faint as Cai helped Rou to lay down. Touching other man's forehead, it was heating up. "Your fever is rising... What?" His little brother was always up to no good, and now his precious Rou Rou had fallen into one of the sneaky boy's pranks. "Lu ZhenXi, just wait. I will beat your ass. I swear, he needs a lesson or two, his pranks have gone way too far!" Sure, he knew that ZhenXi wasn't actually the way that people saw Little Lu, but sometimes he wandered if it all was true.

Miu Miu had arrived with all the things Cai was in a need of and left with a shor bow, taking place to guard behind the large chamber doors. Nothing was going to bother the two love-birds and as Madame had asked of her - to do anything for those to realize their feelings for each other and actually to come to terms with. It was going to be a though task, knowing how stubborn and prideful both of the men were.

Surprised, to say the least, when Wang Rou placed his hand on Cai's cheek. He nodded and replied: "As would I, my dearest friend." And with those words, he hovered above Rou, leaning in and placing a faint, and extremely tender kiss on that red forehead. He asked the Dragon to remember this moment, only to tease Rou later or just to give him hope.

Having prepared herbal infused cloth and warm water, placing it on top of Rou's forehead, after sitting up again. "If it wasn't for you, I would've never found my Spirit. I owe you for that, with life." Lu Cai had never been this serious before, and surely he was serious about kicking his brother's ass after he had made sure Rou was well and healthy again.

Wang Rou's eyes fluttered shut as Lu Cai pressed a gentle kiss to his forehead. He lowered his hand once more, allowing the prince to gently care for him. For once, he felt content with being looked after. Lu Cai was the person he trusted most in this world, after all. It wasn't so terrible to let his guard down once in a while, he realized.

"I'm sure you would have found it eventually," he replied, eyes still closed. "You are stronger than you think, Lu Cai. Truly the worthy heir of TianShi."

He opened his eyes again, lips curving up in another small smile.

"And I will always be behind you, supporting and protecting you."

Not by his side, as that would be reserved for his empress, but behind him. Working in the shadows. Pushing him forward. Always there for his prince.

As another painful migraine settled in, Wang Rou winced and groaned softly. He was beginning to hear those whispers in that foreign language again, but now he was starting to understand some of the things they were saying. A word here and there. Not quite full sentences.

"So noisy," he mumbled, trying to block them out.

"No, I wouldn't have," he admitted, "he even told it to me, the Dragon himself." Cai took the cloth and made it wet again, then squeezing it half-dry and placing it back on Rou's forehead. "Your magic is different, and He says that he comes from the same place from where you do... wherever that is."

He didn't like to talk about being the heir of TianShi, but he knew that he would end up being one, even if he really didn't desire so. All he wanted... was something that seemed very impossible. He just wanted to live side by side with Rou until they died, but something in the back of his neck told him that it wasn't going to go like that.

"Right now there are only very few of us, who know that I am the true heir," he practically whispered, gently cupping Rou's hand, then reaching out to a certain pill, taking it in and feeling gradually more and more sober. Sure, he felt tired, but it was nothing compared to taking care of his companion.

"Am I too noisy? I am sorry, I can be quiet," Lu Cai instantly reacted and then closed his lips, heating up the medicine with his magic.

Wang Rou ❀ The White Peony ❀
SPEECH: #3369A0

The dragon spirit comes from the same place that Wang Rou did?

There was too much information today. First from ZhenXi, and now this small bit from the spirit inside his beloved crown prince... Too much. Too overwhelming. Wang Rou was content with not knowing where he came from. What mattered was his future. A future where he and Lu Cai would grow old together. As friends, of course. Brothers if he was lucky.

"You will make an incredible king," Wang Rou whispered.

When Lu Cai then stopped talking, Wang Rou shook his head weakly.

"Not you," he tried to explain. "In my head... they're talking to me. Not you. Don't stop. I love the sound of your voice."

If he remembered any of this when he woke up, Wang Rou was sure to be absolutely mortified. But for now, in his weakened state, he wanted to indulge in Lu Cai's presence.

He turned his head slightly and inhaled the prince's scent from his pillow, humming quietly in content.

"You smell so good..."

Lu Cai doubted that himself, that he would be a good King. Having been kept away from the politics, he felt like a fish on the land. Dragon in his mind patted his head and simply pointed at something that he had been figuring out on his own for years. If politics was truly of how he had been treated by fellow royals and others, then he would be very good in this. The hidden cunning side of him wasn't afraid of games, and Lu Cai somehow knew that his good nature was going to be used in one way or another in the near future - even if it was for Lu ZhenXi's pranks, it was still a training of sorts. At least Little Lu had said that to him once - ZhenXi was doing all of this to sharpen Gege Cai's fangs and it was probably working.

"Who are talking to you?" He questioned, then quickly added while washing Rou's visible skin with different kind of medicine and spring water, plus from time to time switching the cloth on Rou's forehead. "If ZhenXi managed to pull some kind of magical trick on you to go mad, I will do a lot more to him than just kick his ass..."

Visibly pouting, of course over the fact that his precious Rou Rou was feeling weak and was sick, Lu Cai suddenly heard Rou's words and blushed darkly as soon as he realized what the other one had just said. He himself had forgotten the kissing insident earlier as per request, and forgetting even about the request, he didn't know what to say as Cai was sober now.

"I doubt it, Rou Rou," he muttered to himself, still continiuing to tend to his friend.

"I don't know what he did," Wang Rou admitted in defeat. "He showed me something... a language... and then I... I can hear someone talking to me... in a language I don't understand." He frowned slightly. "But I think... I am beginning to understand."

Too tired to even open his eyes again, Wang Rou turned onto his side, burying half of his face in Lu Cai's pillow with an almost purr-like sound of approval.

"So good..." he repeated. As he inhaled, the voices seemed to fade away, or at least grow quieter. "Dianxia, please permit this lowly daozhang to stay in your bed tonight. Don't... don't leave me..."

With these words, Wang Rou could feel himself beginning to fall asleep.

LU ZHEN XI ♦ The Jiuweihu ♦ The Prince of TianShi
SPEECH: #B73201 ♦ THOUGHT: Italic #B73201

Whatever was going to happen next, it wasn't going to be pretty nor nice. ZhenXi was dressed in all black; face covered with a certain mask that showed a dark red, horned demon. His own brown eyes were colored in crimson. It was a whole another personality, mixed with himself and Old Long, the Fox.

The fact that he was after an elven serial killer, exiled from the Hidden Kingdom, acting as they pleased among the Magimen, made the Prince furious. Partially at himself for taking so much liking towards the hidden species, but mostly due to the real reason of why that person was there - to murder his older brother, Rou; but sadly for this Kingdom, they were doing so much more.

ZhanXi had investigated in the secret for a while, and families of those whom lives had been taken, had been working alongside with him - not telling anyone about his actions.

Running and flying over the rooftops of the cityscape, the Prince finally lands on top of nearby building to a certain brothel. It was dimly lit, unusual to its busy and bright party, this place was weirdly quiet. Smelling the air, ZhenXi had lowered himself into the darkness, he growled. The stench of blood was strong and made him lick his lips. The mask of the demon he was wearing, tingled. The mask that was gifted to him by the barbarians living nearby Hidden Kingdom, in the depths of deserted mountains. It was a sign of friendship, loyalty and a warriorship - everything that described ZhenXi for them.

It was a legend, that the Lotus Blossom Wine can bring out deep-rooted madness if consumed too much... and if it is combined with someone, who is murderous for enjoyment, it can cause not just massacres, but be the beginning of a war.

ZhenXi was ready to kill that spy, assassin and serial killer. He moved through shadows and headed inside the bloodied brothel.

Cai sighed, seeing his best friend so troubled and angry at whatever cards his little brother had pulled to make Rou feel like this. He placed the cloth beside the bed and stepped over Rou, laying beside him and gently pulling the beautiful man into his embrace. Hiding Rou's face onto his chest, he caressed the hair and mumbled softly: "Never think of yourself as lowly. Never. If anything, you are and always will be equal to me."

Smiling, he also blushed as he felt the warmth of other male. He would do anything to secure the safety of his friend, and if anyone was to rip them apart, Lu Cai would go through Heavens and Underworld to get him back. Nothing nor anyone was going to keep them apart. He felt that stronger than anything else in his heart and mind.

Without realizing that it wasn't just deep rooted friendship and loyalty talking, it was the purest form of love. Dragon inside of him knew that, but kept it silent and let these two be, kind of enjoying the view. The spirit had always shipped these two together, he just wished Cai would actually realize all those feelinfs for Wang Rou.
