Name: Ethan Black
Alias: Yin-Yang
Gender: Male
Age: 17
Sexuality: Bizexual – He will love the person who loves him in return.
Love Interest: To be determined.
Role: The Leader
Personality: Generally quiet and gentle, he has always been a loner, not much noticed. He is gentle, kind, and highly intelligent. He has always focused more on school than on his social life, so he has never had many friends at all. He is at the top of his class; his best friends are his books. He feels safer that way; no one knows him, so no one can ever really harm him. He harbors a fear of pain that is a secret even from himself, so he does everything to avoid it. He studied martial arts in order to become stronger, so he would not be hurt anymore. He separated himself from his peers, and from his family, so they could not harm him. He is a loner because he is afraid, but not because he is antisocial. He has a protective side; he can not watch an innocent being hurt, or really anyone. He would do anything to help another. He would give his life for a stranger, in the right situation, without a second thought.
Because of this protective side, he has a tendency to take command of the people around him. He tries to lead them; that way he can plan all of their paths and get as many of them out of the situation safely as possible. He is a leader not because he wants to be, but because he has to be, to avoid the terrible pain of losing someone.
Uniform: He does not really have a uniform; super heroes have always bothered him a bit, so when he discovered his powers he didn’t bother making one. He just keeps to his Tai-Chi uniform. He does not do much to hide his face; he just cut a pair of eye-holes in a strip of black cloth that he ties around his head. He has to hide his identity, but he isn’t trying to impress anyone by doing so.
Power: Ethan’s power manifested during his Tai-Chi training. He is capable of manipulating his own Chi, or life-force, as a true and physical entity. By gathering his own energy and throwing it at someone, or something, he can throw them back or hold them still. It is like an invisible wall of force. The effects can by physical or emotional; he can cause horrible fear by projecting Chi through his gaze. He is relatively good at controlling the ability, due to his training, but he is still learning to cope with the massive amounts of energy it takes to project his Chi. In the end, he prefers just to use his martial arts to fight, since it is so remarkably draining to actually use his ability. He only throws his Chi in small amounts, or in very dangerous situations.
Side: He is good. He fights to protect others. He would result to almost anything to protect them, which can sometimes make his morals seem a bit… broken.
Other:He carries a yin-yang tassel, tied to his belt, which his teacher gave him when he became a senior student at his dojo. It is a very important item to him. He picks it up when he is nervous or angry; it is calming to him. It has his teacher’s presence, and reminds him to think with a peaceful mind when times get tough.
Theme Song:I will think of one eventually… unfortunately most of the music I listen to is in Japanese so I’ll have to search…
