Personality:
For most of his youth, the personality that Chris held onto so tightly was one that involved him being reckless, impulsive, fun, and down for anything. He was a big party guy and for many years of his life, practically lived in the club scene every Thursday, Friday and Saturday night. It's shocking that he managed to graduate high school and college with how much he drank and how frequently he liked to experiment with drugs, and back then, he would be quick to tell you that his only true loves in life are money, liquor, and sex. The Chris that most people know is one that is unfiltered, impulsive, adventurous, and always looking for fun. His parents say that he's selfish for living this life, and that it's time to grow up, and a couple of years ago, he actually managed to change his life. He got into his first serious relationship ever with Girl 5, and as cliche as it sounds, she changed him. Her mellow energy mellowed him out, and he actually managed to get a "real" job working in marketing at a startup company. It wasn't the best job in the world, but the pay was good enough, and for the first time ever, he was showing that he had the capability to be responsible, adhere to a schedule, and actually "settle down". He had always possessed a side to him that was more laid back. His friends would see it when he would insist that they drive to the nearest beach on a summer's night just to live in the moment and recognize how cool and beautiful the world was, or when they would have movie nights and he could spend a few hours sober while still being fun and cool. He wasn't the type of person who only had a personality when he was intoxicated, but before Girl 5, the intoxicated (or sober yet reckless) side of him was just the one that came out more frequently. He had always been very "you only live once" about things, and even looking back at how he acted now, he will admit that he was stupid.
Unfortunately though, following his breakup with Girl 5, that Chris is back, and back in a way that might even be stronger than ever. He lost his job after failing to show up for two weeks straight, and he couldn't have cared any less. He's blown through most of his savings since then, and he has too much of an ego to back to his parents asking for money when he's as old as he is, so the past few months have definitely been a low point in his life. Even if he has to deal with seeing his ex again, he thinks that this summer has the potential to bring him out of his slump. At the very least, he knows that it will allow him to avoid feeling guilty for sitting in his apartment alone drinking every night, because he won't be living alone anymore. Plus, having a guaranteed job, even if the pay isn't great, is better than being unemployed right now. He's not high-maintenance so the idea of working a low-level job doesn't bother him. In fact, Chris is more down-to-earth than people give him credit for. He has a good heart, is goofy and enjoys making people laugh, and he looks out for his friends. He likes to have fun, but it doesn't take much for him to have fun. He has a good sense of humor that often attracts people to him, but his biggest flaw is how when he drinks and does drugs, his temper seems to come out. He tends to be an aggressive and violent drunk, and it's a thin line between him being drunk and fun, and being drunk and sucker punching the guy sitting next to him at the bar for no reason at all. It's something that he thought he grew out of once he temporarily abandoned his old ways over the past years, but unfortunately, he knows that it's going to resurface as he gets back into his drinking habits.
