"Just because I'm being quiet does not mean I'm ignoring you. I'm simply letting you speak while I think deeply."

a character in “The Poison House”, as played by Dreamalot106

Cat is a quiet girl who tends to keep to herself and read whatever books she can get her hands on in her spare time. She has few friends, yet a multitude of acquaintances, her generous, kind-hearted personality quickly winning most over. There is only one person Cat truly confides in and considers her best friend - the stableboy and handyman, Anthony Neil. He is the only person other than Daniel that she has told about her pregnancy. Cat used to be close to her sister, but when Hannah didn't listen to her advice about not accusing one of the sons - whether the accusation was true or not - then was sent away, the bond was disconnected. Now that Hannah's back, Cat is happy to be working with her again, but their relationship is not quite the same as it used to be.

Cat has always been a very curious girl with a keen eye for observation; she's heard the phrase, "Curiosity killed the cat," more times than she can remember. Because she has always tended to be a more introverted person, Cat is pretty innocent minded and unaware of the effect she tends to have on men. Her soulful, dancing, slate grey eyes, constant, cheerful smile and gentle swing in her hips often draw much, both unwanted and not, to the young woman whenever she’s in town.

Cat is a very honest person and likes to believe most others are too. Though she would always liked to just take a person’s word and hold it to him (or her), Cat knows from past experience that she cannot. One thing Cat values nearly as much as honesty is efficiency. She believes strongly that a person’s work must be completed before that person can relax and fool around. To help pass the time along while she cooks – and often times helps clean up after the meals – Cat hums to herself. On occasion, when she’s pretty sure there’s no one else around, Cat actually sings quietly while she works. It is truly lucky if someone manages to pass by the kitchen at this time and is able to listen in undetected, for Cat is very shy about her singing, especially around other people.

How Daniel Junior managed to get close to such a closed off girl is mystery, even to Cat. One day everything was normal between the two, then the next they were swapping life stories over late night snacks in the kitchen.

Who do you think did it?:
"Honestly? I don't know. But I certainly don't think it was Thomas. I know for a fact that killing someone is not the way you become a priest."
She thinks Mr. Lindstrom did it. Blame it on all those books she reads, because you know it's always the butler in those.
Daniel Gregor, Junior - obviously. She's carrying his baby after all.
And kinda, sorta Anthony Neil. Cat considers him her best friend and confidant, but she knows that if he was to stop his girl-hopping in town and be willing to settle into a serious relationship, the two of them could take that step.
Anything else we should know?:
Cat's laugh has been described as musical and charming by those lucky enough to have actually heard it. -- Cat is scared of having her baby, in fact, the day she realized she was pregnant was absolutely terrifying. She knows Daniel will make good on his promise if she has a son, but she has no idea what she'll do if she ends up having a girl. Cat is currently 3 months pregnant but still barely showing.

So begins...
