Jack Rex's Story

"Hmmm" Jack turned to face an alleyway "something doesn't feel right" He quickly shook of the felling and started heading for the hotel he was staying at.

Jack got to his hotel, as he walked in, he couldn't shake the feeling that someone was after him. I better check, just to be sure, Jack touched his hand to the ground, after a few seconds had past, he stood up and walked out of the hotel "I know your here Hunter! But we must save our fight for a later date! I'll see you in hell!" Jack unsheathed his katana and plunged it into his heart. Ugh, I hope I don't come back to life in the middle of nowhere.

Adion heard the man kill himself. By the time he had gotten to the Resurrected, he was just a body. Adion then dragged the lifeless husk to the fire that was still burning behind the hotel. Now he had no reason to leave the officer gagged, so he walked through the fire, climbed up the tree, and cut the officer's gag. Once Adion had gotten back to the ground, he threw the Resurrected's body into the fire, all the while the officer was wailing in fear of his imminent demise.

After about 3 minutes of watching the officer slowly burn and scream, the sound of sirens screamed through the silence of the night. Adion walked out to great the police who had come to see what all the screaming was about. "Halt right there! Put your hands in the air!" One of the officers yelled at the top of his lungs. Adion, however, kept walking letting his hood cover his face, showing only 2 glowing, red eyes. His hands soon began to glow in the color of red hot iron, and as Adion walked he left a trail of flaming footprints in the pavement. The police then proceeded to open fire, but the bullets were incinerated before they even reached Adion. As Adion walked by the first car, he simply touched it with his had and the car then exploded into a massive ball of fire, leaving nothing left of the car or the officers that were using it as cover. The rest of the police on scene then began to run to their cars in hopes of being able to escape the monstrosity that stood before them. In response to the officers' actions, Adion touched the ground, causing a round wall of fire to emerge from the ground around him and the police. For the next 10 minutes, Adion played with the police who had tried to arrest him, leaving only a burned stretch of road.

Jack sat up and gasped as he came back to life, he stood up, Ugh, I hate dying he held his hand to his forehead, Alright, everything seems to be in working order. Jack walked outside and held his hand up to cover his eyes from the light, once he had recovered, he looked at his surroundings, Looks like I'm in New York Jack sighed and starting walking down a street, towards one of his safehouses.

Adion stood before the Council of Hunters, the leaders of the Hunter group that he worked for. He was getting yelled at by all the members of the council because he not only failed the mission, but he failed to keep things discreet as well. To Adion, this was a normal thing. He did not care whether or not he was part of this group. The only thing that he cared about that they provided him was food, shelter, weapons, and things to burn. Being in this war gave him the ability to have a use for his powers and a point were he could use them and others would clean up for him.

"Now, Mr. Failure, we will have you go to a new Resurrected that we detected in New York. We don't care if you are able to actually kill this one, but whatever you do, KEEP IT DISCREET!" said one of the council members, which was followed up with "Do you understand what I have said Adion?" Adion merely said "Yeah. Go to New York, kill a Resurrected, and don't draw attention to the war." Within the next 3 hours, Adion made it to New York National Airport.

"I have to lock the doors, who knows how long I have until the Hunter Council finds me." Jack started bolting all the doors, Thank goodness I have the roof hatch, I remember I had a close call with a Hunter before I had that, Jack sighed and touched the floor "No Hunters nearby, that's good" Jack walked to his bed and lay down. "Ugh, I need a break".

Moments after Jack had gone to sleep, his safe house was on fire. Adion had not only found it, but rigged the kitchen area to look like a gas leak had caused the soon to be inferno. He simply stood outside waiting for the Resurrected to come out. Adion managed to dodge the Resurrected's detection by leaving his sword in a Hunter safe house in the city. This was not a problem though, because Adion could just use the iron blade he had found and use his magic to take out his target.

Jack woke up to the smell of burning, he opened his eyes "Crap!" He jumped out of bed and climbed out the roof hatch, Jack had to run fast, he ran as fast as he could to the edge of the roof and jumped, time slowed down. He looked down at the road far below, Jack rolled as he landed on the other building and looked back at where his old safehouse was. He turned and bashed in the door on the roof of the building he was on. He had to go, now "how did I not sense the hunter when I checked, ugh, I hate it when my magic fails" he ran out the building having reached the bottom. Jack ran as fast as he could to the airport, looking back at the fire and to check if someone was chasing him.

By the time Jack made it to the air port, there was a massive jet fuel spill. The fire this spill caused was making a mushroom clouds. Adion stood behind Jack and said "Beautiful isn't it? I always liked the way jet fuel burned. What do you think Resurrected?" Adion's face showed that he was expecting an answer from Jack.

Jack turned and saw Adion "Well, it seems we have a fire problem" Jack smirked "You should just kill yourself and save me the trouble" Jack unsheathed his katana and started spinning it around in his hand "You know, I haven't had a good fight in a long time, maybe you'll be worthy to die by my hand Hunter" Jack ran at Adion and slashed across his side "That was me going easy, do you really think you can beat me when I am going full force!?" Jack turned and faced Adion to see what he would do.

Adion looked at the small wound. He touched it with his finger and the wound healed with a searing sound. He pulled out the crappy iron blade that he had been forced to carry to avoid detection. "Who ever said I was anything other that a pyromaniac?" said Adion before spinning around and cutting Jacks katana blade in half. "Ya know, for a shitty blade, this one works real well." said Adion to himself while awaiting Jack's response.

Jack looked at his broken katana, he burst out laughing "you really don't know who your dealing with, do you? I guess the Hunter Council wouldn't have told you eh? Very well, I'm going to keep that secret for myself for now" Jack looked at the remains of the plane he was supposed to be flying away on, he sighed and picked up the other half of the katana blade and held the pieces together there was a flash of light and the katana was whole again. "You should start thinking of running now" Jack sliced a deep gash in Adion's arm.

When Adion was gashed open, no blood came out. Instead, a large blast of fire shot out from the wound. Again, Adion rubbed his finger on it and the wound sealed. Adion then simply walked up to Jack, dragging his now flaming blade across Jack's chest. Adion seemed to smile at the sound of the searing of Jack's flesh, but also seemed to be in no particular hurry to do anything what so ever. "What is with you cutting my arm?" Adion asked in a slow and almost tired seeming manner.

Jack looked at the blade being dragged across his flesh and laughed "you do realize, that isn't a Hunter weapon, so it can't kill me" He continued laughing and grabbed the blade of Adion's sword and broke it "your right it is a shit blade" Jack sighed "eh, I'm bored now" he turned and started walking away. "Before I leave, I have to tell you, ask your council if the the last name Rex means anything to them, they'll understand what is happening, goodbye Hunter" Jack smirked and started running away.

Annie was on a walk thinking what's the worst that could happen. She'd grown tired and needed to wake herself up somehow from the quiet place in which she thought she occupied. Besides she'd heard a rumor of a powerful resurrected around and certainly want to find out who or where he was. Annie was a bit fuzzy on how the whole being a resurrected worked and all that. All she knew was that he could die but be able to come back.
Annie suddenly saw Someone running and realized that it was the resurrected guy shed heard of. She thought to herself, 'man this was stupidly coincidental.' she sighed and ran after him following closely behind. 'what was he running from?' she thought. Annies full attention was on the resurrected man but nothing else because she was consumed in curiosity.

Adion was not pleased by the running of Jack. It was not like the Hunter was not prepared for such a thing to happen. When Annie had caught Jack running, a delivery truck ran right in-front of Jack and exploded. Out from the fires of the exploded delivery truck walked Adion, making sure the two Resurrected had flames that prevented their escape. After a few seconds of whistling, Adion drew out his standard sword, which took no time to catch on fire. "Think ya can lose me that easy, Mr. Rex? You were wrong. Oh, and I brought a new blade." Adion said letting a cruel smile cross his face.

Annie was stopped when a truck exploded and she fell to the ground. She looked around frightened and saw a Hunter with a sword that had burning flames. She shook in fear as he came closer and she could feel that the hunter felt victorious and was full of a scary emotion shed only felt when she got strangled. The hunter was feeling murderous and it made her whimper. She looked at the resurrected man next to her and crawled behind him Then slowly standing up with weak knees. She backed away from the hunter until she heard her hair burn a bit from the fire and she away from it quickly And stood behind the man peekin over his shoulder at the mean scary looking hunter.

"Ohh, a big scary explosion" Jack said sarcastically "please, if you really wanted to kill me, why would you not bring your Hunter weapon in the first place? I guess it doesn't matter" Jack unsheathed his katana "Don't worry, I won't kill you, I'll just beat you within an inch of your miserable life so you can go to your stupid council and tell them my name" Jack started breathing deeply "my power is far greater than any other you've ever seen!" There was a huge gust of wind that extinguished all the flames, Jack started hovering above the ground "Prepare to be beaten Hunter" Jack blasted forward on another gust of wind and slashed Adion across his chest "this is my true power, learn to fear it" Jack then sliced the back of Adion's legs. Jack looked at the girl, he didn't know if she was a hunter or not. He walked up to her and put his hand on her shoulder for a few seconds "ok, so your new, I'll tell you everything later, but we have to go, let police deal with this idiot Hunter" Jack started walking down the road.

Annie got up and bit her lip looking at the hunter on the ground. She felt power radiating from both of the men. She left a hand on her shoulder and jumped. "Ok so you're new,I'll tell you everything later, but we have To go, let the police deal with this idiot hunter." Annie nodded and said,"yes sir." she got up and followed him close behind him. As they began to gain some Distance from the hunter. She looked up at the man curiously. "are a resurrected person?" she asked shyly but interested. "um I think that's what I am...I'm a bit fuzzy on everything." she shrugged and bit her lip more nervously.

Jack laughed "yes, I am a Resurrected, I'll explain everything, but we have to move now, I can use my power to get us away quickly, but you have to cooperate, understand?" This girl is definitely new to this life, I can tell, Jack waited for the girl's response "oh, by the way, my name is Jack Rex"
