Personality

Levi loves love. He loves to be loved, give love, and see love. If anybody in the whole world was born to be a father, it was this man. He loves children, but this isn't the only reason he would make a great dad. He would give up anything or take a bullet for anyone he loves. Creating conversation when you are around Levi is not something hard to do. When you're in his presence, you will want to just speak with him for hours. He is great at keeping secrets and making people feel safe, both emotionally and physically. His sense of humor is unlike anything else. Most of the time you need to be intelligent to understand his jokes, and he makes references to his favorite novels (Gone with the Wind and Animal Farm) and TV Shows (House of Cards and Battlestar Galactica) quite frequently. He knows quite a bit about politics and religion, however he doesn't consider himself political or religious. In fact, he will be quick to tell you he doesn't relate to any political party or religion. He is also very keen with foreign relations. He can tell you what is going on this second in Libya or what the last law the president of Yemen passed it. He thinks he picked up these traits from his grandfather who was a good friend of the Prime Minister of Belize.

Another thing Levi loves is learning. He could spend hours reading news articles or autobiographies every day. This is one of the main reasons he decided to become and author. His first (and only) novel, The Bold Something, is all about the psychology of suicide. He spent days upon days, weeks upon weeks, researching for this story, and these late nights are some of the most memorable he's had. Levi can often be found in a classroom at the local university, taking random classes such as Basics of Finance or History of Opera.

Happiest Memory

Levi's best memory occurred on his twenty-first birthday. No, he didn't go out to drink with all his friends who were already legal. His first novel, The Bold Something was published this day. It sold spectacularly, better than his editors, publishers, and friends ever thought would happen. He sold over 100,000 copies the first two month it was out, which is better than most debut novelist do.

Saddest Memory

Levi and Megan were together for two whole years. But one day, a week or so after she left Levi's home to return to college, she broke up with him. Over text. She said there was someone else, someone she could actually see herself marrying. Levi had believed that they would marry each other since the moment he laid eyes on her, and he even had a ring, but apparently he was never good enough for her.

History

Levi and Martha Van Hassel never wanted children. They were living in a quaint subdivision in Burbank, California, living out their lives as extremely successful, famous veterinarians when Martha found out she was pregnant. The first instinct of both Mar and Levi was abortion, but the couple feared that her 40 year old body would not be able to handle the extreme procedure. She was already too far along anyways, and adoption was out of the question, so they kept the baby. When Levi Jr. was born on a sunny February morning, Mar and Levi Sr. knew they had made the right decision. Their precious son was perfect and the second he popped out, they couldn't imagine not having him in their lives.

Little Levi was an easy toddler; he never fussed too bad, and they could usually get a full nights sleep. As a young child, Levi St. forced his son to join Little League t-ball and basketball teams. This didn't last too long because it was obvious that their son was not cut out to compete with all the other boys. He was too small and too slow to be an athlete. Levi Sr., who had been a star quarterback in high school and college, was desperate for another child to follow in his footsteps. So, five years later, Martha gave birth to another baby. This time, a little girl, who they named Kierra. She was a harder baby to raise, but young Levi was eager to help Mom with all the chores around the house so she could spend more time with the girl. After all, Dad was usually at the office performing surgeries on cancerous puppies or curing diabetic horses or something of the like.

Levi was an average student when it came to high school. He got decent grades and maintained a solid 3.5 grade point average all four years. He certainly didn't graduate in the top ten of his high school class, but he wasn't the worst student to go through Northwright Academy, the expensive private school his parents sent him to. He ended up attending California College of the Arts against his parents' wishes. They didn't believe majoring in Writing and Literature would result in any kind of career worth having. But Levi knew he didn't need to worry about money - his parents inheritance and financial help would get him wherever he wanted to go in the long run.

It was here at CCA that Levi met Megan Rivard, a film student two years younger than him. They met his junior year in a 200-level science class; one he was taking to fill a requirement and she was taking just for the joy of it. They were paired together to work on a lab and had to meet outside of class two times a work for a whole semester. He asked her out one night while driving her home from class, and they were officially a couple two weeks later. Everyone on campus knew they were together, and by the time Levi graduated a year later, they were the couple everyone wanted to be like. They were destined to be together forever. The stars were aligned.

Levi moved out to Alpine, New Jersey on a loan from his parents two months after graduation. He chose this city to research a couple mental health institutions for a novel he was working on, and found himself loving the city. He had been living out there for five months when Megan came to visit him for the first time. Five months apart could put strain on any relationship, and it certainly did its fair share on theirs. Meg stayed in Jersey for a week, which was three weeks shorter than her planned vacation. The couple argued every single night until she just couldn't take it anymore, got on a plane in the middle of the night, and left. A week later, after no communication at all, Megan texted Levi. I'm sorry Levi. I can't handle the pain you put me through constantly, and I've found someone else to be with. Have a good life. Best wishes. Megan. This was the last text he ever received from her.

Levi surrounded himself in his career after the brutal break up. He began a couple other novels but couldn't really get into anything. He still had plenty of money, though, because his parents were paying off his student loans and sent him checks in the mail monthly, even though he kept asking them to stop. Nothing big changed in his life for four years except for the beginnings of another book and a couple dates here and there.

Pierce stretched his arms, the sunlight waking him. He looked over to his side. Tatiana. No surprise there. He had gotten drunk and high again last night, and it was fairly common for them to hook up, regardless of his "commitment" to Janelle Donovan. He looked at the clock on the bedside table. 8:00am. Too early. He sat up, rubbing his eyes, hoping not to wake Tatiana. He hated talking in the mornings. Janelle had asked him not to take anyone home with him and to not hook up with anyone she knew, so naturally, he hooked up with Tatiana. Janelle didn't know her, and he always went to her place. He stood up, walking out of the room to make himself a large cup of coffee.

When he got to the kitchen, he started brewing the coffee, making sure to fill the pot completely. Shit. The Donovan yacht party is today, he remembered to himself. He rubbed his eyes with the thumb and index finger of his left hand, already wanting the day to be over. When the pot had finished brewing, he grabbed one of the oversized mugs from the cupboard and filled it to the top. He drank the coffee black, not his favourite but not bad either. He heard movement from the room, and he assumed Tatiana was awake. Though he really hoped she wasn't; he was just starting to enjoy his morning coffee.
