He is usually the leader in group activities. He prefers dealing with either people or things rather than ideas. He regards intellectual exercises as a waste of his time. He finds helping other people genuinely rewarding and is generally willing to assist those who are in need. He also finds that doing things for others is a form of self-fulfillment rather than self-sacrifice, however he does not enjoy confrontation, but will stand up for himself or push his point if he feels it is important. He has strong will-power and is able to overcome your reluctance to begin tasks. He is a calm person who is considered almost fearless by some. He rarely gets angry and it takes a lot to make him angry. Mostly his emotions are on an even keel and he does not get depressed easily. He does not feel nervous in social situations, and has a good impression of what others think of him. He is poised, confident, and clear-thinking when stressed.

He genuinely likes other people and will openly demonstrate positive feelings toward others. He makes friends quickly and it is easy for him to form close, intimate relationships. Always eager to try new activities, travel, and experience different things. Finding familiarity and routine boring, he will take a new route home just because it is different. Often he exhibits a readiness to challenge authority, convention, and traditional values. He also feels a certain degree of hostility toward rules and perhaps even enjoy ambiguity.

He naturally assumes that most people are fair, honest, and have good intentions. He does not like to claim that he is better than other people, and is generally shy from talking himself up. He is tenderhearted and compassionate, feeling the pain of others vicariously and are easily moved to pity. He believes that he has the intelligence, common sense, drive, and self-control necessary for achieving success. In general he tends to be disorganized and scattered. His sense of duty and obligation is average and although he is mostly responsible, he can sometimes be unreliable. He often says or does the first thing that comes to mind without deliberating alternatives and the probable consequences of those alternatives.

      History:
His history is vague. Grew up living with both parents, came out of the closet at fourteen, his mom left because of it. Oddly, it was his father that was okay with his orientation, and after watching his mother try and beat the gay out of him, his dad kicked her out. Now he lives in a little flat by himself, one bedroom and sort of a hole-in-the-wall sort of place, so that he can save his money up for more important things. Like video games and mountain dew.
      Sexual Orientation:
      Gay

So begins...

The last day of school is usually the worst day of the year for Jamie, and actually wasn't even sure why he came this year. Usually he skipped it, made up some sort of illness. That or he really was sick, since when he got incredibly nervous of anxious about something, he had a habit of making himself sick. The same thing had happened this year, but he was going to try and power through it. Lately, he'd been trying to lay low at home, and getting sick would definitely have everyone worried about him. Since he had come out to his older brother, it felt like things were awkward between them, so he stayed clear of the older boy- which wasn't actually that difficult since he was only a junior and basically the only time he saw him was in the hall or at lunch, where he was now.

Two boys had cornered him earlier and stolen his lunch money, though he supposed it was sort of his fault. He hadn't really tried to stop them from taking it, since he wasn't really hungry. Actually, he couldn't remember the last time he'd actually been hungry. The last thing he had eaten was an apple, yesterday before school. He was still thirsty all the time though, so he figured it couldn't be that bad if he just skipped a few meals. Instead he could just settle down at his table- literally his today, his friends skipped school -and pretend to read as he people-watched.

It hadn't been too long ago that he had decided he wasn't straight, so it was still kind of weird when he found himself checking out another guy. That didn't necessarily stop him though, even though it was weird, they were still attractive. He didn't hate himself for being gay either, he didn't think it was a bad thing and honestly had never been attracted to girls, but he did hate himself for telling his brother. Of all people, he had to tell Jaiden! With a frown, he realized that as he had been thinking about his foster sibling, his gaze had actually traveled over to where he was. Reluctantly, he pulled his eyes away and told himself to focus on his book.

Jaiden had never really minded the last day of school. Then again, he never really minded anything at all. He kind of just floated about doing his own thing. The day had been a waste so far, especially sense he didn't have to take any tests thanks to his high grades. He mostly joked around with a few of his "friends" and thought about how the summer was going to go.

The only thing that had surprised him all day was when Jamie got out of bed and actually came to school. It was no secret--at least to him--that the younger boy usually tried to skip these days. And he knew why, too. He was on his way to their usual table, figuring he'd kick back and relax while he waited for the line to die down, when he felt a pair of eyes on him.

His own chocolate gaze flew across the room until they landed on Jamie, who had very obviously just stuck his nose back into a book. He frowned slowly then sighed, shoving his hands into his pockets. "Be right back," he muttered.

Alex looked up from joking with the others, arching an eyebrow at his best friend and following Jaiden's gaze to Jamie. "Seriously?" he asked with a whine. "Can't you just leave the freak alone?"

"Watch it," Jaiden hissed between clinched teeth, but he didn't stick around to listen to his friend attempt to apologize or come up with a reason to pick on Jamie. He made his way across the lunchroom without looking at anyone else, and stopped only when he reached his younger brother, ruffling Jamie's hair affectionately. "When was the last time you ate?"

Honestly, Jaiden had nothing better to do with his time than watch his foster sibling. While they didn't see each other but once or twice at school, he was well aware of the fact that the kid didn't eat much. At home or at school, apparently. He took it upon himself to take care of him.

Jamie wasn't actually reading, instead choosing to focus on the way his fingers twitched where they held onto the next page, creating a little rip in the binding from the stress on the paper. He had ADHD, but it was such a weak case that it was easily passed off as just restlessness. He didn't even have to take pills for it, like he knew other kids did. It just got hard for him to sit still after awhile, his fingers twitched, his legs bounced up and down. And his mind was always going a thousand miles an hour, as was his mouth. People rarely engaged him in conversation after they made the mistake of trying to talk to him, since he just sort of said whatever was on his mind and hardly let the other person get a word in. Then there was also his problem of being a terrible listener, since he found most people boring.

He heard his brother approaching, but decided to pretend he didn't as he continued staring at words he'd read a hundred times now. The ruffling of his hair made him blush a little as he set down his book, keeping his thumb in the pages to keep his place, to look up at Jaiden. Usually he would have made a big deal trying to fix his hair by now, but he left it be then. "I had a bagel this morning, Jay." Lie number one. In his new, gay world, his brother had definitely not been skipped over when he had reevaluated how he thought of everyone around him. The new him though, decided that his older bro was incredibly attractive, which was definitely a problem. "I'm not very hungry though, so.. yeah." He shrugged, looking past Jaiden and back to the table he knew his brother usually sat at, where all his friends seem to be laughing and having fun. First thought was that they had to be laughing about him, then he reminded himself that anytime anyone laughed he thought they were laughing at him.

Jaiden stared at his brother for a very, very long time. Things had been a little...tense between them for awhile now. Ever since Jamie had walked into his room that night and spilled his secret. Jaiden had taken it in stride, not even really reacting past his usual carefree way.

To be honest...he didn't really care. He felt honored that Jamie had chosen him to tell, and no matter what or who his kid brother was...he'd never stop loving him. But after that night...something had changed. Something he hadn't meant to. And he didn't know if it was him, or if it was Jamie.

But summer was coming...and whatever this was, it needed to go away. Because he'd end up going crazy if he didn't have Jamie next to him all summer. So, with a sigh, Jaiden pulled out a chair and flopped down beside him. "I don't believe you," he muttered, his eyes following the line as it got shorter and shorter.

"I know you don't like it...but you gotta eat sometimes," he added, but that was as far as he was going to push and the both knew that. He just didn't have it in him to keep being stubborn, not unless he was actually worried about Jamie's health. And he wasn't. Not yet anyway.

He moved slightly, pulling his wallet out of his back pocket and leafing through the money he had there. "I got enough, if you want something...or maybe we could go somewhere after school, hm?"

Yeah, he was trying. That was the most he could do. Wasn't like he was going to force feed the younger male, but he could try and get him to eat.

Jamie hadn't actually expected his brother to sit with him, and his surprise showed in his expression, but he didn't say anything about it. It wasn't like he minded, he loved his brother, they just didn't usually spend a lot of time in school together. Whether it was the grade/age difference, or the difference in the people they chose to hang out with, he didn't know. He just knew it resulted in them mostly hanging out at home or outside of school. The summer was the best for him usually though, he got to spend a lot of time with not just his brother, but the rest of their family. It seemed during the school year he was always so busy with work that he just really didn't spend enough time with them, especially since when he wasn't working he was sleeping- he slept a lot. School was hard for him though, he worked his ass off and was lucky he passed with one C and the rest were B's.

It didn't surprise him when his brother said he didn't believe him, they lived in the same house, it wasn't hard to notice when someone else was skipping meals. Usually though, he didn't even intend to skip meals. Most nights he just slept through dinner. "I'm really not hungry though Jay..." It was probably useless, one way or another he would feel guilty and eat, obviously assuming that his not-eating was going to make everyone else disappointed in him or make them hate him. But he also thought that if he ate people would hate him too, so either way he was sort of just screwed in his head. "Yeah, um. Maybe I'll be hungry by the end of the day..." He offered his brother a small smile, trying not to sound like he was lying.
