Coreva

"Cold and abandoned, I'll either make you feel my pain, or hide it from you with a silent, unreadable grief. It all depends on my impression of you."

Coreva

Role: The Weasel

Personality: She's a bit shy and reserved, but she's relatively cold and hard on the outside. She's more of the loner, and prefers to stay only with her other half. However, if needed, she'll play any part that her other half may ask her too. Coreva is extremely trained in picking up information, as she had nothing else to do when she was caged up, wanting to seek the escape. She usually acts as a spy, however, few would guess! She also has a charming and mysterious air to her.

History: A member of the last survivors of the lost village, she and her other half were soon captured after their escape from their destroyed homes. Coreva was locked up in a cage for most of the time, getting strange looks and creepier smiles from her captors whenever she was in her human form. She has grown and kindled a hate for her supposed 'Guardian' who never showed up to rescue either of the two. They were both abandoned, and forgotten. And one has to face it, that's never pleasant. So she is only closest to her other half, and would honestly do anything for him within her power and reason.

Kaden makes his way through the forest to seek out the targets that have been placed before him, targets to take his built up anger out on at last. His and Coreva's journey was indeed a long and hard one but that was no one eases fault but his own, he was a hunter now and wanted everything that transpired from the moment he was given the order on to be achieved with their own sweat and blood, he declined the king's offer to provide armor, weapons, and transportation to the place the guardians were held up. This left it up to them both to trek there by foot and the only clothing he had to travel in was a pair of hide pants, and that was days ago, his tanned skin was covered in layers of dirt, sweat and more dirt, he smelled of a wild animal, and his long dark hair was matted to his face and body giving him the over all primal look of a wild man. With his bow and arrow tethered to his back it created an appropriate image for him for he was now without a home or village, it was just him and his beloved counterpart .

Him and Coreva had gone over an endless amount of possible ways to deal with them when they arrived at their destination that ranged from taking them all out at once in a roaring ember to capturing and killing each of them one by one, it's what consumed many of the hours of the days it took on their journey, it wasn't a healthy conversation but they were both filled with so much anger and resentment that it hardly mattered, plus it provided a good way to pass the time. For the last fourteen hours though, they traveled in dead silence, the only thing that could be heard was the crunching sound of their footsteps as numerous dead leaves and twigs were crushed beneath their feet. Sometimes it was the sound of several footsteps, while other times it was just his while his counterpart took her animal farm and traveled through the trees above ground often scouting ahead to check for the village in the horizon. Finally he could see faint candle lights from the homes of those who remained awake at this time of the night, the corner of his mouth rose in a twisted smirk, he stopped walking as he looked up a full moon which light up the forest and his face with a ghostly pale light, his body that was tense from the strain the long journey put on it suddenly relaxed all at once when a cool night breeze swept over his more or less bare body. He took a long breath before turning back to Coreva who was in her human form since night had fallen, she some how did not look as ragged as he did, her red hair was being carried up behind her by the strong breeze like they were the crimson wings of a bird of prey ready to take flight. Even after such a long walk she was probably still invigorated by the freedom after being cadged so long, which he fully intended to make the king pay for after this business was done " We've finally arrived " in a somewhat quiet tone, breaking the extended silence that his voice needed to readjust from " What will we do now? We never decided how we would take care of them " Little did he know at that moment how difficult it would be, the struggle that would unfold before them when the guardians would flee and inevitably put up a fight. Had he took the king's offer he would have more than enough support, but as things stood now he was properly outnumbered, what he counted on was them lacking the training he had with his counterpart.

Coreva stretched comfortably, having now finally switched to her human form. It suited her much more easily than when in animal form, though both were fine by her. She glanced up ahead, seeing the inn. She tilted her head to the side, her red hair falling a little past her shoulders. She grumbled quietly, picking at the pretty clean white shirt she had buttoned up at least from the top down four buttons. Her pants were a dark khaki green, blending well with the forest. She rolled her eyes lightly, climbing up a nearby tree and settling herself on a branch, her legs swinging back and forth silently in the air. "I honestly don't see the point in barging in their and alerting everyone. Why can't we just join them for covert operations. It'd be a lot more easy to kill them from the inside. Besides, I don't want to go back..." The fem trailed off momentarily before finishing her sentence. "To the cages. Besides, how do we know he won't just back-stab us?" Her head tilted despairingly to the side, her facials twisted into boredom and faint grief.

"I don't feel like running after them all the bloody time. I mean, just look at you. It wouldn't kill you to go fall in a river once in awhile~" She teased with a semi-flat tone, her facials remaining the same, though a faint smile cracked onto her face. Coreva was always able to keep herself pretty clean, even after fourteen days of trekking after these bloody disgraces. Our village sacrificed itself for them, yet they think that we just died in a simple fire or something. They've forgotten us, treated us like we never existed to begin with. Well we'll see how imaginary we are once they turn to famine. She tilted her head down as she thought to herself, her eyes hidden by her hair and the shadows of the tree. Her hands clenched the bark of the branch she was resting on, her lip twitching slightly from fury, horror, and rejection. "Well, I've made up my mind, Kad. I'm going to at least get in there. This will make it easier for you to track them if I'm with them. Just need to look the part is all...." She mumbled, just loud enough for him to hear, and pulled out a small knife in one of her pockets. She pressed the metal blade against her skin, ready to press down to make a pool of blood to splatter on her white shirt and make her hair look messy.

Kaatanmura was awoken by a nagging sense of dread, certain that misfortune was nigh. He tried continously to get back to sleep but to no avail. He decided just lying there and trying to sleep wouldn't help at all, so he put his hood and mask back on, opened his door quietly, making sure not to wake anyone else, then descended the stairs and left the inn.

He sat under the same oak tree that he had sat under earlier before, trying to calm himself, but the sense of danger just got greater and greater like a fire building up inside him. Eventually it felt like it was burning his insides away, but didn't get any worse. Kaatanmura rolled to the side just before a pike drove itself into the tree on which Kaatanmura had been sitting. Kaatanmura saw a man in black, light armour trying to pull it back out of the tree, giving Kaatanmura the chance to knock him away with a kick to the face, wrench the pike from the tree and drive it into the man's face. If he was in danger, surely the others would be as well. He turned to see another man dressed in similar armour dropping multiple objects on the inn. Only when they flared to light did Kaatanmura realise they were torches.
~Tulya, you have to wake up now!~ Kaatanmura cried out telepathically, ~The inn is burning! You have to wake up and alert the others!~
He hurtled towards the inn as fast as his legs would allow him, hoping against hope that everyone inside would be all right.
