Tulya Delmont

Role: The Warrior

Personality: Tulya, being the human manifestation of the Dragon God,has it's qualities, namely;being brave, fierce and strong while most definitely, the other manifestation holds the remaining qualities of intelligence.Tulya is also quite outspoken, and is unafraid of speaking her mind. She is not afraid to speak to strangers and is hardly ever shy.She can also be rather rough and tumble at times.Tulya is quite straightforward with what she wants to say,and that can often get her into trouble, because she hardly ever thinks things through.Although people think that Tulya is mostly just brute strength during a fight, that's hardly true.Tulya only uses her brain for that purpose, fighting. When she fights, her brain seems to kick into overdrive giving her better reasoning and a stronger strategic approach. This and her strength combined usually helps her win fights that she would otherwise lose.

Tulya is also quite kind towards people, but her bad trait comes from her impatience and lack of ability to stay still, being the impulsive person she is.When she is feeling angry, she often vents them on anyone, even those who are close to her.She can also get frustrated when things don't go her way.Tulya has the habit of entering rooms or houses without knocking first, which causes misunderstandings. She is spontaneous and will do things on the go,another sign of her lack of thinking and planning. Her speech pattern is rather tough and rude.

History: Tulya was born in the Snowy Mountains and was raised up by a small family. She often helped her family with the sheep.Being born in the Snowy Mountains,Tulya's skin tone was darker than average, just like the rest of the villagers. At a very young age,she displayed signs of being different from the other girls in the village. While the other girls were busy learning to work the wool obtained from sheep and weaving,Tulya was out in the woods, carving wood and practicing swordsmanship, though she only had a knife at the time. She also joined the men when they went hunting in the dangerous Snowy Mountains. She hardly did anything, but years of trekking removed alot of the baby fat that was present in her body and gave her a toned appearance. It wasn't until she was around the age of 15 when she finally managed to hunt and grab a kill of her own, wrestling with the mountain boar into submission and slitting its throat with a hunting dagger before bringing the game home for the villagers to share for several days.It was during that day that she was told that she was born on the Day of Sacrifice as one half of the manifestation of the Dragon God and was presented the village's prized claymore sword.

In the earlier years of her youth,Tulya made friends with an orphan who was in the village's orphanage. The child was, unknown to Tulya, the Dragon.Tulya felt a connection to the young boy and often felt him talk to her despite not opening his mouth. She hadn't heard of the incident during which he transformed and almost slew the occupants of the orphanage. When she returned, she never found him anymore, and felt sad.But more often that not, heard his voice inside her head. When she was 15,and the Day of Sacrifice was revealed to her,she realized that that boy was the other half of the Dragon God's manifestation. Now 17,she awoke to the voice of the boy,now louder and more vibrant than ever. She saw him outside her window, and was warned that there were people who were after her...no,the both of them.

... and the human deity lived alongside the villagers. The animal deity finally took on its true from and was sent to live in the wild with the village guardian. Seven more years passed. You are now seventeen. Your village has been prospering in their trade for the past few years, but suddenly things have begun to change. Then, one night the human deity awakes to a knock at their window. They open it to see their childhood friend, now seven years older, standing right in front of them. This friend doesn't say a word, but you can hear them speaking in your head. You had always felt they were there with you all along. They tell you that someone is out to kill you both, along with all the other prophesized children. There is a safe house to the east of the Forested Lands and that is where you will both travel. And from there is where our story begins...

_____________________________________________________

The room was quiet for a moment, except for the chirping of the crickets that lived in the tall grasses outside of the log inn, the crackling of the fireplace as it warmed the room, and the breathing of the ten others around Lin: the seven other prophecies which had gathered there, the innkeeper, his wife, and his daughter. The owners were in front of them, the burly, bearded innkeeper sat in a dining chair as his wife laid her hands on his shoulders. Their daughter hid in the corner behind them, like a piece of furniture. Lin and the others sat at a table. She stared at the flames, the licking sparks reflected in her blue eyes, as she waited for someone to speak.

“So,” the man gruffed, finally breaking the silence and calling Lin’s attention, he rubbed his knees, “you say you are on the run? And you are the eight children of the prophecy?”

“Well, yes,” Lin leaned forward and spoke up for the group, “it must be hard to believe howeverâ€Ļ”

The man held his hand up, silencing her, and she quickly shut her mouth. He rubbed his beard, and then creased his eyebrows as he contemplated something. “Someone knew this day would comeâ€Ļ” He muttered.

“Exâ€Ļ excuse me?” Lin questioned.

The chair squeaked when it scraped across the wooden floor as the man stood up. He crossed the room and reached up to the top of a china cupboard and slid open one of its top drawers. He pulled out a white sheet of paper and cleared his throat before handing it to Lin. “Ehm, see,” he said to her and pointed at the paper in her hands, “I thought it was suspicious, so I held onto it.”

Lin’s eyes scanned over the parchment in her hand. “On an evening in September, three weeks from when you should receive this letter, please have eight beds prepared for my companions. They should come to your inn seeking refuge, please do me this favor and keep them safe,” she read. She let her hands holding the letter fall to her lap, her face obviously confused. “Well then, who could have written this letter?” She asked.

“I don’t know, regular letter carrier brought it,” the man said with a shrug of his shoulders. He then proudly put them to his hips as he said, “But those eight beds are ready they are, aren’t they Pat? She prepared them herself,” he added merrily.

“They are Pa,” the girl meekly answered from her corner.

“Could this place really be safe then?” Lin wondered aloud. “Obviously someone was expecting us here. It could all be a trapâ€Ļ”

But then again, her guardian had told her that this was where she was to goâ€Ļ Would the guardian had led her, would everyone’s guardian, had led them into danger?

“Butâ€Ļ” she continued, “I don’t believe it would be wise to travel tonightâ€Ļ Fighting, had it come to it, would be difficult in the dark.” She motioned to all of those like her, the “shape-shifters” some liked to call them, “And we are all in our human forms until the morning.”

The man suddenly started laughing. “Why that would be something to see wouldn’t it? I’ve never seen a shape-shifter before.”

Lin quirked her mouth to the side. Was he going to go off topic with this? Right now was not the time to be laughing.

“That’s not true honey,” his wife corrected him, obviously unaware that this conversation was irrelevant at the moment as well, “remember that time when we went to that village, off the coast, to pick up a customer?”

The man thought for a moment. “Oh!” He suddenly recalled. “The one that was involved in that invasion a couple of years back?”

“That one!” The wife praised. “Remember the prophet child from thereâ€Ļ what was sheâ€Ļ a ferret or something like that?”

The conversation was gradually growing more confusing. “What village?” Lin asked them, not having heard of such a place. “I know of no village off the coastâ€Ļ”

“Well there isn’t one,” the man huffed and crossed his arms, “well not anymore. Invaders wiped them out, but not after they put up a good fight, had a lot of spirit in them they did. In the end, the land was no longer worth fighting for. Invaders left, villagers died, the island’s been left barren for years now.”

“They all died?” What a horrible thought. Lin shivered at the idea of the same thing ever happening to her village. “And what happened to the invaders? Where were they from?”

The man shrugged again. “Don’t knowâ€Ļ don’t want to know. There is no way I’m getting involved with them. The east is a neutral place. Only people we get passing through here are people headed from the coast to the inland. I’m not messing such a good thing up by asking about such things. Might put a jinx on it.” He shivered.

Lin gruffed and slumped a little into her chair. Yet again, ignorance killed what could be valuable information.

“Well,” the wife said in a hurry, as Lin fumed silently, “I’ll just run upstairs and make sure your beds are ready. Turn in whenever you feel comfortable dears!” She then bustled up the stairs, her daughter briskly followed behind her.

Lin looked around at the others at the table. She knew they would have to keep their wits about them, but what good would they be if they were all left exhausted? Turn in when they felt comfortable, she had said, but did any of them really feel comfortable? Someone was out to kill them, after allâ€Ļ

The conversation that was going on between one from their own party and the innkeeper wasn't really to Tulya's taste.Tulya tried and failed to stifle a yawn from her lips. When the conversation shifted to something about some village that was invaded, however,Tulya's eared perked up.It sounded really interesting...sounded like an adventure worth checking out.She looked at the 6 other children of the prophecy.Different shapes, shades and sizes. She must've been the odd one out, having dark skin and her signature blue woolen jacket. She looked at the 7th child of the prophecy, her partner,Kaatanmura.

It had been quite a while ago when Kaatanmura suddenly showed up outside her window, after disappearing for 7 entire years, and warned her that they were being hunted. She had quickly taken the most important things to her,her hunting dagger, her wooden makeshift sword and the village's prized claymore.A quick conversation with her parents went underway and she shot off from their doorstep, along with Kaatanmura. It was somewhere in the middle of their journey that they had met up with the other children of the prophecy.

Tulya ran a hand along the claymore's sheath and rested her hand on the pommel, feeling the cold touch of metal. She had never taken it out to use before. It was her village's most prized possession, and it was now hers to keep. She looked to the side of her table and stared at the wooden sword that she had propped against it.She had been practicing her swordplay with that for 2 years in place of the claymore, and it was quite evident just by looking at the knicks and worn-out wood. When the girl with red hair stood up and talked about defeating the people who were trying to kill them,Tulya laughed. When she was done, she looked up.

"Ain't it obvious? We fight 'em.Head on!" Tulya exclaimed, grinning widely. Her teeth were brightly contrasted against her dark skin.

Kalvin fiddled with his fingers not at all listening with the conversation Lin and the innkeeper were having. Just the thought of him seeing Lin again he was confused thinking that his mind was playing tricks on him, and when she said they were all in trouble and that someone was trying to kill them off. He knew right at that moment that she wasn't joking or paying or just a mere dream. Kalvin looked at the others trying to start a conversation he decided to join in trying not to let boredom kill him.

He rolled his eyes at the crazy answer the one withe the claymore sheath had given. He groaned and coldly said "They will have an army, we can't fight them all, they will build up the army full strength what we need is a plan a pack."

Tulya's response didn't surprise Kaatanmura in the slightest, she never thought things through properly. However, he felt that Kalvin's suggestion was equally stupid, if there were that many, Kaatanmura would have had to fight more than just one.
"Tulya, they're too powerful to fight in our current condition." Kaatanmura pointed out, "They're much stronger than we are, not to mention they can wane our powers down to next to nothing. Besides, we're too disorganised as we are now, they'll slaughter us like pigs."
Once he had finished talking, Kaatanmura turned towards the door to walk out and spend some time outside, but before doing so, turned to Kalvin.
"However, I don't agree with you, either." Kaatanmura stated, "You make it sound as if an entire nation is against us. Even if your far fetched paranoia was valid, we wouldn't be able to do anything anyway."
With that, Kaatanmura opened the door and walked outside.

Kaatanmura chose to rest in the shade of a tall oak tree, sitting and leaning his back against the trunk of the tree, meditating. His meditation was broken by a butterfly landing on his nose. The creature must have mistaken him for vegetation due to his lack of movement. Instead of shooing the butterfly away, Kaatanmura just sat and admired it. Its wings had a beautiful contrast between the turquoise and black stripes. The butterfly quickly flew away, in search of food, realising that Kaatanmura would yield nothing.

After a few more minutes of meditation Kaatanmura decided that it would be good to see if the binding spell had worn off, so he got to his feet and concentrated on shifting forms. It was usually easy, but he felt that his dragon form was distanced from him. However, that wouldn't stop him from trying. Straining every muscle in his body and focusing solely on transforming, a tongue of flame licked around Kaatanmura, slowly transforming his skin into crimson scales. However, Kaatanmura couldn't keep his efforts up due to exhaustion. The tongue of flame dissipated and Kaatanmura's scales relaxed back into his skin. Kaatanmura fell to one knee, pulling his mask down and gulping in huge breaths of air.

((OOC: Did Not Mean To Tage Kaden My Bad ^^))

Mizumi nodded at the girl with the dark skins answer, but then a gloomy expression crossed her face as the others began to join in with the conversation. The others who had explained the fighting situation were right about everything. And it would be ridiculous to fight an enemy they know nothing about. Not to mention, they don't even know who this person is that is trying to kill them. She watches as one of them made his way to the door and walked outside after adding his own opinion on what to do about whoever was trying to kill them, then looked down at the table. Of course, she thought to herself. Now isn't the time to be rushing in blindly. We have to come up with a plan...But first.. A smile crossed Mizuumi's face and she sat back down. "My name's Mizuumi!" She said loudly. She wasn't comfortable with how tense everyone seemed. They were all alike weren't they? They were all the children of the prophecy, so why were they acting like they were all enemies? If any of them hoped to figure out who was out to kill them and defeat them, then they couldn't keep acting like this. She still wondered how Leoh knew to come here, and how he figured out that someone wanted them dead, but trusted him completely. She knew that he knew what he was doing. If Leoh brought her here, she knew she could trust the inn keepers, even if a few of the others didn't. "So, what are all of your names?" she asked with a friendly tone of voice. She wanted to brighten up the room a bit. Though she was the one that brought up the fighting discussion, she quickly regretted it. She was far too tired to want to talk about strategies and enemies.

Tulya pouted when her choice of action was shot down by Kalvin. When Kaatanmura spoke up about how the enemies were too powerful at the current moment, she snorted. As if any adversary would be any stronger than she was. When Kaatanmura completed his entire speech,Tulya had to grudgingly admit the truth. After all,he had trouble with his transformation right now,and no doubt the others too.But she looked away and rolled her eyes.

"Yes Kaa~" she said in a nonchalant voice.Kaatanmura's tongue could be really sharp at times. As he made his way outside,Tulya looked at Kalivn and smiled apologetically for her partner's behaviour.

She focused her eyes on the girl who had been silent the entire while, her eyes immediately drew Tulya's attention. They were beautiful and unique. The girl seemed nervous and shy,and Tulya wanted to try and say something that would make her feel better. But before she could speak up,she saw the hand of the black haired youth grip onto the girl's,squeezing some comfort. This brought a smile to Tulya's face. She liked seeing people look out for each other, and liked it even more if strangers helped each other.

'Not a bad bunch.I can handle them...' she thought, but then she heard the black haired boy talk about strategy. '...even if they do have equally sharp tongues as Kaa.'

"I've been fighting blindly for years, and I'm still standing." she offered while getting up from her chair, not really thinking about what she just said. When he talked about his suspicions, she felt a little annoyed, and perhaps a little angry.

"Hey,that's not fair. You can't judge people we don't even know, and are helping us at the moment!" she yelled out,not noticing how naive that sounded. She heaved an annoyed sigh and plopped back down on her chair, crossing her arms across her chest and glared at the to her side. Some people were really just too...what would Kaatanmura say?Ah,paranoid.Amidst her thoughts, she could feel Kaatanmura attempting to transform and failing. She couldn't help but slowly crack a smile at this, but to others,it would seem that Tulya was going crazy just by staring at the wall. She grabbed hold of her wooden sword and stood up,her claymore in it's sheath dangling around her waist. The red haired girl had just introduced herself as 'Mizuumi' rather loudly, which nearly caused Tulya to fall down in surprise.

She turned around and smiled.Thank goodness there was someone who wasn't as silent as the rest. She brought up the hand holding the wooden sword up high to acknowledge Mizuumi.

"Nice tah meet cha!" she yelled back cheerfully. "I'll go check up on Kaa and bring him back so we can all introduce ourselves!Cheers!" And she threw open the doors before walking out,not even bothering to close it.

She made her way close to the tall oak tree that she had seen as flashes in her telepathic connection with Kaatanmura. And sure enough, she found her partner on one knee and had pulled his mask down.He was panting rather heavily. She walked over so that she was standing right in front of him and proceeded to tap her own shoulder with the wooden sword, making 'twack, twack' sounds to signal to him that it was her.She had a really wide grin on her face.

"So~Transformation failed eh?~" she asked, developing a more nonchalant tone. She was trying to lighten up his mood, she knew Kaatanmura would be disappointed with himself, and she didn't want that. She stopped tapping her shoulder with the wooden sword and rested it on her shoulder instead, and made a small sigh while smiling. She held out her free hand for Kaatanmura.

"You know...you look much better without that concealing mask on." she continued.

"Anyway, let's go back in and introduce ourselves so that they get our names stuck in their heads!" she exclaimed loudly, now back to her old self.

Despite the fact that is was obviously blind optimism, Kaatanmura couldn't help but admire Tulya's cheerful demeanour. No matter the situation, she always managed to believe that everything would get better or was already all right. Kaatanmura wished that he could take the same view on life, but at the same time was glad that he took things more seriously. Kaatanmura gripped Tulya's hand and pulled himself to his feet, but didn't pull his mask back up.
~You know I need my mask.~ Kaatanmura told Tulya telepathically, dropping the subject of his failed transformation entirely, ~Wisps of fire shoot from my mouth when I talk, I need my mask on to stop the flame going anywhere so I don't set fire to anything. I don't want to be responsible for manslaughter or a forest fire. I'll leave my mask down until we get back to the inn.~

Kaatanmura reluctantly pushed open the door, not looking forward to having to work in a large group. He just had to hope that they weren't all as paranoid and dense as the Farmer. As he walked in, Kaatanmura pulled up his mask over his nose again in preparation to speak.
"Tulya told me I should introduce myself." Kaatanmura stated blankly, "I'm Kaatanmura, the dragon. I'm the one who brought Tulya here."

The farmer, a strict name most people called him by. He was a simple man, the modest type. Kalvin smiled, Kaatanmura reminded him much of his ..father. His father always used his words..sharply not that he intended to be rude and mean it just the way he talked. Kalvin turned to Tulya and smiled and shrugged he was used to that type of people, the serious hard-working type...the ones you would find in a farm mending the crops and feeding the animals.

Kalvin watched as a muscular boy stood up and lectured them on a subject he dismissed...at least to himself. Kalvin watched as Tuyla face reddened and she was furious. He bit his lower lip...was this really how they were going to work together if they do they would all be dead.Kalvin fiddled with the buttons on his button up shirt. He got up and took a seat near the window glaring at the moonless night sky. He looked at the millions of stars that were on the night sky, the fireflies their lights glowing as they flew. He sighed, this reminded him of home, the smell of mildew in the early morning. The long grass and the smelly animals. He turned around faced to face the circle of people that surrounded him. The warm light paint in the small Inn. The blazing fire in the fireplace that warmed the room, he sighed obviously bored of this whole conversation. He wondered how his partner found him or how she knew to come here. There's obviously something that someones not telling him and he was going to find out what...

Tulya pouted with dissatisfaction when Kaatanmura reminded her about his fire-breathing problems. She guessed that was true, she wouldn't want people in a riot to cut off Kaatanmura's head if he caused a fire,or worse, accidentally set someone ablaze. She walked next to the tall youth, keeping her eyes on his face.It wasn't often that Kaatanmura pulled down his mask so she tried to make the best of it by taking in what she could see.Rare opportunities didn't come this often. She kept grinning, imagining Kaatanmura spewing fire from his lips. How interesting would that be?!

They walked back into the inn and Kaatanmura pulled his mask back up and introduced himself...albeit a little...without any vigor.Tulya playfully slapped a hand around the back of his shoulder and chuckled.

"Be more lively when you introduce yourself~" she joked, before smiling at Mizuumi. "Kaa,that's Mizuumi, and she's the first one to introduce herself here,so we all might as well follow the trend.Ya guys know who he is now." she stuck her thumb at Kaatanmura.

"And I'm Tulya.Hope that's stuck in your heads." she completed with warm smile.

She sat back down on her chair, propped the wooden sword against the table once more and looked at the others with interest. "What be your names?"

Arabella blinks in surprise, feeling the warm hand of Aziel grip hers in a very comforting manner. Her bright yellow and blue eyes quickly snap over to look at the reassuring smile he gave her. At that moment, everything felt just right. His warmth; his affection. She had missed it so much, and even though danger was just around the corner, being able to be close to Aziel again calmed her heart...Her cheeks turn a soft pinkish color as Arabella smiles widely back, her teeth a very clean white.

As people began to introduce themselves, she listened carefully. Arabella would not make the mistake of losing their names in the depths of her mind, for they may be very important from this day forward. Mizuumi...Tulya...Kaatanmura...Strange names which felt weird on her tongue, but were none-the-less unique. Her eyes gaze at Kaatanmura curiously, as he walks back into the inn, seeming to quickly slip his mask back on. She wondered what was hidden under that pretty little mask...

"Well..I'm Arabella..." She mumbles, shyly, giving a small, yet warm smile to those around her. Still, it was apparent that speaking to them was difficult for her. She would much rather speak only to Aziel. She knew he would always understand her; protect her. He had always been there for her and there was no doubt about him. But with these strangers, there was always doubt...Those smiles which they plastered on their face could be completely fake, as sceams ponder through their minds. She would keep a close eye on them all, for sure. But that didn't mean she would be rude to them. Arabella always knew that kindness and respect was something in which all people deserved until they proved otherwise.

At that point, Arabella was looking out the windows, which were inked black by the night. Her eyes were beginning to feel slightly heavy, and she wondered when they would get to sleep. Or if they would spend the night thinking of what to do next. Not that that was a bad idea, but she wasn't sure how much longer she could stay awake...But knowing by morning, Arabella would turn back into her animal form, sort of disappointed her. No matter what, though, the day would always come. You could never keep the sun from rising..."Well, we can plan all we want...But if we don't get the rest we need, we will be useless for fighting when we need to...It is late...Don't you all think we should rest?.." Arabella purposes, suddenly feeling awkward and hoping that her suggestion did not seem disrespectful to anyone.

(Hey you guys. Just wanted to let you know, I won't be on all day tomorrow. Please try not to leave me behind. TwT )

"If I acted more cheerfully, I'd be lying." Kaatanmura retorted, "I'll act happily when I'm happy, but no sooner."
Kaatanmura listened intently to Arabella's suggestion of rest agreeing wholeheartedly with her.
"An excellent suggestion." Kaatanmura applauded, glad to have an excuse to get away from the others, "I'll be upstairs if anyone needs me."
Once he had finished talking, Kaatanmura turned and ascended the staircase.

Once he was on the first floor, Kaatanmura opened the nearest door and walked into the room. It wasn't exactly large, there was a small bed just about big enough for Kaatanmura, though his feet would hang over the end slightly. Next to it was a small bedside table, with two drawers and a bowl of apples and pears on top of it. Kaatanmura hadn't eaten in some time, so he pulled down his mask, picked up an apple and took a bite out of it. It was fairly bland, but it was to be expected, it was free. Kaatanmura then realised that he was alone, so he wouldn't need to pull his mask back up, so he threw down his hood, revealing his full face. He had the dark skin typical of the mountain peoples, unruly, jet black hair, sharp, inquisitive, chocolate brown eyes that absorbed every little detail. His lips were slightly dry, due to the heat generated by his speech, but not cracked. His nose was straight and ever so slightly pointed with small nostrils. Kaatanmura kicked off his boots and fell onto the bed, falling almost instantly into a deep sleep.

Tulya lowered her eyes and sighed ever so softly at Kaatanmura's retort. She couldn't get Kaatanmura to lighten up after all, even if a little bit....When Kaatanmura announced he would be going to sleep, she looked up and kept her eyes on his back as he retreated upstairs. The white haired boy who was...paranoid according to Kaatanmura, spoke up and introduced himself as Kalivn.Tulya quickly broke into a wide smile and nodded.

After what seemed to be a long moment of silence...it seemed to Tulya that no one else was willing to introduce themselves,so she picked up her wooden sword, stood and stretched before letting out a yawn. She took a look at everyone else in the room and smiled.

"It's probably asking too much for all of us to start getting to know each other in one day.Let's take our time and be more comfortable with each others' presence." she walked up the stairs, before turning back to look at them. "We're all Children of the Prophecy after all...we might as well be a great big family,eh?" And she turned back to continue upstairs.

When she was up,she backed herself against the wall and breathed out.If she was asked her opinion...amongst the Children of the Prophecy, she and Kaatanmura had the least amount of interaction. He never spoke alot when they were younger, and she didn't always go to the orphanage to visit him.Everyone else seemed rather close with their other half. She was deep in thought until she felt Kaatanmura drop off to sleep in her mind. She smiled and entered his room. It's only been a while and he was already asleep. She stared at his 'naked' face,he had removed all the obscuring clothing around his face. She took in the sight, thought she still wished to be able to see him breathe fire.No such luck.

She walked out,and lightly close the door behind her.

"Really...you'd look much better it you smiled for once..." she mumbled to herself.Kaatanmura never smiled. She was very sure that he would look much better without his expressionless face...or concealed face in that case. She shook her head and walked to the room opposite from Kaatanmura's.To her surprise, the innkeeper's daughter was the one making sure that the bed was ready. She tapped the doorframe with her wooden sword to announce her arrival. The girl looked up timidly and walked over to the door.

"The bed's ready..." she told Tulya. In response,Tulya patted the girl's head and smiled warmly at her.

"Thank you~You're a dear." she told the girl sweetly, before making way for her to go out.Tulya walked into the room and untied the claymore sheath from her waist. She looked at the closed door.

She loved kids.Especially those pudgy little brats from her village in the Snowy Mountains. She loved hugging and playing with them.Tulya was naturally rough around people, but with children, she was pretty...gentle and sweet. She propped both her claymore sheath and wooden sword against the table next to her bed.She took off her blue woolen jacket to reveal a blue sleeveless shirt made from sheep wool, which was also rather thick, and warming. She proceeded to unbuckle the hunting dagger sheath from the back of her waist and set in on the table. She removed her thick leather boots before crashing on top of the bed, using her jacket to cover her eyes and pulled the blanket up to her chest.

After quite a long time, she finally drifted off to sleep.

Mizuumi nodded to show her acknowledgement towards the others who introduced themselves, keeping a smile on her face as first Kaatanmura went up to bed, then Tulya. The girl with the dark skin was right. It was probably best they were all well rested and relaxed before they went about acting like buddies. Still, it was good to at least know each others names. Then she realized Leoh hadn't said anything during the entire conversation. This wasn't really unlike him, but he was more quite than usual. He is probably just tired, she thought to herself, then scooted her chair back a little further and walked over to the wall that was on her side and picked up her spear. "I don't know about anyone else but I'm pretty tired so I'm going to go ahead and get some sleep now. We can all talk in the morning over breakfast! I'm sure everyone will be feeling better then." She said with a drowsy smile, then made her way up the stairs before anyone could say anything.

Once she reached the top of the stairs, her smiling face turned into a blank one and she let out a soft yawn. She made her way to the end of the hallway and opened the door to see a few beds made up nicely and some candles lit up the room. Closing the door, she leaned her spear up against the wall next to her choice of bed and sat herself down and slipped off her boots, then socks, and setting them aside. After letting out another yawn, she stood up and unbuttoned her dress and let it fall onto the floor, revealing a black, strapless undershirt. Lastly, untying the black ribbon in her hair, she shook her head a couple of times and let the long, red strands come undone and fall around her legs and shoulders. She fell over in her bed and pulled the blanket over herself, enjoying the feeling of lying down in a comfortable bed again. It didn't take very long for her to fall into a deep sleep.

Kaatanmura was awoken by a nagging sense of dread, certain that misfortune was nigh. He tried continously to get back to sleep but to no avail. He decided just lying there and trying to sleep wouldn't help at all, so he put his hood and mask back on, opened his door quietly, making sure not to wake anyone else, then descended the stairs and left the inn.

He sat under the same oak tree that he had sat under earlier before, trying to calm himself, but the sense of danger just got greater and greater like a fire building up inside him. Eventually it felt like it was burning his insides away, but didn't get any worse. Kaatanmura rolled to the side just before a pike drove itself into the tree on which Kaatanmura had been sitting. Kaatanmura saw a man in black, light armour trying to pull it back out of the tree, giving Kaatanmura the chance to knock him away with a kick to the face, wrench the pike from the tree and drive it into the man's face. If he was in danger, surely the others would be as well. He turned to see another man dressed in similar armour dropping multiple objects on the inn. Only when they flared to light did Kaatanmura realise they were torches.
~Tulya, you have to wake up now!~ Kaatanmura cried out telepathically, ~The inn is burning! You have to wake up and alert the others!~
He hurtled towards the inn as fast as his legs would allow him, hoping against hope that everyone inside would be all right.

Tulya felt the nagging tug of Kaatanmura on her mind, but she tried to sleep through it,being as tired as she was at that moment. It wasn't long before she eventually woke up with a start, coughing heavily. Her eyes stung and she tried blinking her tears away.

"What's going-" she was shocked. The searing heat, her entire room filled to the brim with black smoke. "A FIRE?!" She quickly tied her jacket around her neck and grabbed her belongings before hurtling out of her room.

"This is...insane!" she said to herself before cupping her hands around her mouth and yelling. "WHOEVER HASN'T WOKEN UP YET!!THERE'S A FIRE!!!!"

Amidst the smoke she caught the glimpse of the innkeeper's daughter and the white haired girl running down the stairs. She quickly followed them, all the while tying her weapons onto her waist.Downstairs, she witnessed a heated conversation between the girl and the innkeeper, who had revealed a hidden trapdoor underneath the inn.It wasn't long before the girl and the innkeeper's daughter descended the trapdoor.

"The others should follow her soon.Until then..." she whipped her wooden sword into a stance.

<Kaa...where are you?Get here, quickly!> she sent out a telepathic message over to her partner, while trying to peek through the hot, sweltering, smokey inn.The assailants were purposefully leaving the windows untouched, save for the one that the innkeeper broke,so that the smoke would clog up the place. She walked over and swung at two other windows, causing the smoke to let up a little.

"Sorry about that,I guess I'll hafta pay for those windows?" she turned to look at the innkeeper and his wife. From the corner of her eye,she saw a sword being swung in her direction. She quickly moved out of the way,but the slight delay caused her to receive a small gash on her arm.She backed away as fast as she could from the broken windows. She ignored the bleeding wound on her left arm, before looking at the innkeepers.

"Get down, and find some place to hide.I'll try and buy ya some time until the others leave." she immediately switched her focus onto the 3 broken windows, anticipating a group of assassins to climb through them.If they were coming in soon,Tulya would be horribly outnumbered, leading to her impending demise, unless the others arrive quickly. Her eyes fleeting to and fro the 3 broken windows, her sweat starting to mix with the blood from her wound and her breathing heavy from the smoke, but nonetheless, she held out her wooden sword ready to fight anyone that might come in.

Kaatanmura wasn't quick enough. The soldiers had surrounded the inn, cutting off his path. However, Kaatanmura was determined to get through, especially after having received a message in return from Tulya. Kaatanmura flicked out his wrists, loosing two hidden blades he had obtained from a travelling black market dealer. They were illegal, but he couldn't care less, after all, they had helped him protect his village. He charged forward, and as he ran drove his blades in the necks of the two soldiers on each side of him and jumped through' one of the windows Tulya had smashed open. He saw one of the soldiers slash at Tulya shortly before she dissapeared into the floor. He made the soldier his next victim, killing him swiftly by drving his blade through the assailant's neck and then removing it in one fluid motion. He then made sure everyone had entered the underground passageway before slipping down and covering up the hole behind him. Kaatanmura heard Tulya offer to stay and fight off the soldiers. Kaatanmura admired her bravery, but he knew she'd be unable to fight them all off in the haze with a wound on her arm. Kaatanmura pulled up his mask to protect him from the smoke.
~Tulya, you're in no condition to fight!~ Kaatanmura warned her telepathically, ~But if you insist, I'll stay and help you.~
Kaatanmura readied his blades, knowing that after his violent display they would surge in soon. He was doubtful that he and Tulya would be able to fend them off for long, since she was wounded and he was more accustomed to fighting as a dragon. Never the less, they stood their ground.

The sleep indulged Kalivn rolled around on his rather comfortable mattress unaware of the now large and growing fire. He moaned as a burning scent touched upon his nose causing him to drastically wake up. He sped knowing of the smell, it reminded him of the fires back at home, the barn broke into a fire and all the animals were stuck inside.. nobody knew until they opened the barn doors and found all of the animals dead or have second-degree burns. He ran through the hallway scared, as the fire ate the wood of the cabin. He was cornered by the flames as he tried to leave, leaving his only option going back to his room. He ran back and shut the door. He looked at the small window that was in his room and suddenly he sprouted an idea, a rather dangerous idea but it was an idea.

He opened the window as far as it would go looked down and gulped. He wasn't sure he was going to jump...then he heard the cracking sound of the flames eating the wood on his door, he had no choice. 1..2...3........he spread his hands and jumped closing his eyes shut...BOOM. There was a sudden pain and he could barely move, he felt the aching pain all over the blurry vision prevailed and suddenly everything was black.
