"Stay here, boy. Let me know if anyone comes." He let out an acknowledging bark and sat facing the street. Willow made her way down the isles, looking for anything she could easily carry around in her backpack. She grabbed some crackers, a bottle of aspirin, some water bottles, and some more food for buster. She made her way to the back, hopping over the counter to the shelves of medications. Hydrocodone, ciprofloxacin, Zarontin, and some other meds that may come in handy. She shoved all of that along with some gauze and ointment in her backpack and made her way back out of the window before stopping dead in her tracks to the sound of Buster letting out a growl followed by a quick bark. "Buster..?!" She yelled before quickly vaulting out of the window to find Buster barking at squirrel in a tree, it's fuzzy tail twitching in irritation at the large dog. It let out a few barks of it's own before scurrying away. Willow sighed and kneeled down to scratch Buster's head. "Don't scare me like that, boy. I thought one of those things was after you" He licked her face in reassurance and she smiled. "Ok lets get out of here."
Normally, it wouldn't have been that great of an idea to try and leave the safety of his home in such a state, but Chris's home was only a couple minute's walk away from the pharmacy, and after a full day of misery, he figured that it was worth risking a painful death to obtain the much-needed medication.
He had clearly been too optimistic. As he rounded the corner to the pharmacy, he found the windows busted open, and a redhead with a dog standing right outside. It was a bit surprising that it had taken this long to get looted, thinking on it a bit. "Er, h-hey!" He stammered, hastily hiding his kitchen knife (the only thing in his home that had been really suitable for use as a weapon). "Anything left in there? I guess the sick bird misses the worm and all that, but I'm sorta in need of some fever medicine."
"What's wrong with you? Are you bitten? Did you get scratched?!" Willow asked, stepping back cautiously. "Tell me right now, or so help me I will bash your skull in." Buster barked in agreement.
He sighed. "Look, lady, all I'm asking is if there's any shit left in there. If you took it all, I'm just gonna turn around, go home, and suffer, alright?"
"It'll be better if we stick together. Nobody should be alone here."
