Full Name: Khojin Malqir

Nicknames/Aliases: Grim Sparrow

Age: 21

Gender: Female

Species: Za Ri (Diabi subrace)

Original Canon: The world of Xalgr was a planet in its death throws. Most "civilized" peoples were forced into a vast chain of mountains, plateaus, and flying magitek cities by the Mist which covered the planet's surface, spawning powerful, aggressive monsters that rendered the region too dangerous to inhabit - after all, no one wants to live in a place where a violent beast could spontaneously spawn inside your bedroom. The peoples of Xalgr were nothing if not adaptable, however, and the advancement of magitechnology allowed them to live comfortably above the clouds. Comfort comes at a price, however, and vast quantities of aetherium crystals were required to keep these cities running. Miners risked their lives each day in outposts on the planet's surface, protected only by mercenary Free Companies and barriers which constantly required maintenance.

The story of this world began when a mining outpost in the mountains not far from the city of Hel-Haram suddenly went silent, prompting an investigation by those who would serve as this story's heroes. The arrived to find the miner's dead, the outpost destroyed when an ancient sealing stone finally broke, worn away by the Mist. The demon inside had escaped and gone on a rampage before fleeing into the wilds. This set an unfortunate precedent; if the Mist was removing seals laid down by those who once lived on the planet's surface, then the peoples of Xalgr were in danger of chaos unleashed by sentient evils of great power.

Thus their journey began, as journeys do, to find and, if not reinforce the seals, then destroy the beasts held there before they became a threat to the settlements above. Unfortunately stories are rarely so straightforward, and they eventually came to learn that the mist was not, in fact, the final breaths of a world about to die, but rather a scab meant to help it heal. The mist, lacking sentience, was unable to understand that the seals were not, in fact, wounds, and had been leeching the aether out of them, eventually unleashing a powerful archdemon named Kharberos who sought to devour the heart of Xalgr, a truly immense crystal lying in the planet's core. The heroes clashed with Kharberos and his minions many times, gaining strength and new power granted by Xalgr itself, and when the time came, they chased the archdemon deep into the planet's core for their final confrontation. There, they slew Kharberos's physical vessel, but his essence remained, nearly untouchable even with the powers the heroes had gained. They were forced to abandon Kharberos, their only course of action being to wake Xalgr from its slumber so that it might direct its own aetheric energy, the energy of every being on the planet, into destroying him once and for all.

And of course they succeeded, because they're the heroes, and they always get their happy ending. Even if said happy ending requires the centuries-spanning loss of all magic in the world.

Description: At 4'5", Khojin is fairly average in height for her people. Though a bit thin, she is possessed of a wiry strength and well-defined muscular physique. She has violet hair, kept fairly short, and yellow eyes with vertical pupils. her skin is covered in patches of scales, and a hole in her left cheek leaves pointed teeth visible, giving her a rough, almost feral appearance. She also has a thin, reptilian tail which ends in a triangular point, not unlike a dragon or devil's, which is equal to half her height in length.
Personality: Khojin tends to have a calm demeanor and quiet voice, yet is far from serious. Nearly everything she says is some form of insincerity, yet since she so often speaks in the same slightly disinterested tone with which one might comment on the weather or a new haircut, it can cause her to come off as apathetic and moody. Khojin has great difficulty forming friendships, as she naturally withdraws from any sort of genuine connection, yet at her core Khojin is a kind, gentle girl, and extremely loyal to those she chooses to trust.

Skills/Powers: Khojin has access to dark magical powers, allowing her to rob health from opponents, form areas of damaging miasmic energy, and shoot dark bolts from her hands, among other things. She can also summon a lesser demon in the form of a massive greatsword named Capricorn, whose power and appearance she could augment in her own world through the application of the True Eyes of certain powerful monsters. She is also extremely fast and agile, able to keep out of reach of most opponents, and can jump vertically up to thirty feet. She also possesses a resistance to poison and disease.
Aside from these, Khojin is skilled at hand-to-hand combat, utilizing a style which emphasizes speed and mobility over raw strength. She is also a decent tracker.
Weaknesses: Despite her great speed and damage output, Khojin is extremely fragile, and will tire in prolonged combat, causing her to become more vulnerable to enemy attack. When desperate, she may call upon her Primal Aspect, Ravana, to increase her power exponentially. However, if she has expended too much of her power by that point, she may not be able to control it and be driven into a berserker state, where she is little more than an animal. She also possesses an unfortunate weakness for those she considers friends, which could be used to manipulate her, or catch her off guard.

Brief History: When in her mid-adolescence, Khojin formed an unintentional blood-bond with the demon Capricorn when she removed the sealing stone keeping him in her village. She was thus exiled from her clan, yet her connection to Capricorn also set her on the path to becoming a Dark Knight, arcane warriors with access to powerful dark magic abilities. In her twentieth year she became an agent with a free company of mercenaries known as Dragon Tongue, taking jobs which brought her from the inhabited mountains and flying cities of her world into the Mist-filled, monster-infested lands below. It was here that she was discovered and recruited by the group of adventurers who would eventually save the planet.

Other:
She's a fair cook, and is obsessed with new books due to the rarity with which she comes across literature in her work. She is believed to have been killed in her original canon while holding off Nox Kharberos, but being pulled into the Rend has potentially prolonged her life. She has a Linkpearl crystal, which acts as a kind of laptop/mp3 player. While lacking connectivity, her non-connective functions still work.

Capricorn Status: Zodiac Body (Sealed)

Adira Hasidare

Following Fell with her eyes, Adira watched as he walked around the length of the arena, his nose to the ground before he stopped and tilted his head to the side. Looking up at her he made some squeaking noises and raked at the sandy ground with one of his taloned feet. 'He found something,' she thought and ran over to where he was. There in the sand Fell was indicating towards was a lever of some sort. Looking up Adira could see there was a gate not too far from said lever with a spiked fence down. "Hm..."

Taking hold of the lever she started to pull, but it wouldn't budge until Fell stepped forward as wrapped his tail around it, pulling the lever easily. They meet eyes and Fell gave a smug snort and in return Adira rolled her eyes. "Yeah yeah, the Fanghur is strong then the human, there's a big surprise." Fell made a chuffing sound, which was probably the closest he could get to actually laughing, and Adira grinned.

The sound of gears grinding drew her eyes to the gate and she watched in excitement as it slowly lifted. Finally, she'd be able to get out of here! What waited outside she didn't know, but staying in this arena certainly wasn't going to get her home any faster. Turning around she waved at the group she'd been talking too. "Hey, this appears to be an exit." she called to them, and at that declaration she could see a few others heads turn to look in her direction.

Oliver was surprised by the female known as Madi's quick response to Oli needing shelter. Although no one could see his facial expressions, he blinked in surprise, then simply replied in a relieved, happy tone. "Many thanks." Noting that he had just been offered to sit somewhere beside the female, he did just that. Whether he was completely covered by the umbrella or not didn't matter, the smallest amount of shelter certainly made a difference. And so, Oli crouched down, almost resembling a bird perched ever so delicately on a branch. Whereas for him he was carefully trying to avoid the sun.

Now that he was safe, (for now), he felt quite uncomfortable. Realising how vulnerable he was he wasn't sure what to do. While most of them seemed quite friendly, he was still very cautious. Everyone was fairly calm considering how no one knew what anyone was capable of. One could only assume. The female known as Stride said something, but Oli wasn't entirely certain if she was speaking to him or not. Turning slightly to see someone possibly beside him she might have been speaking to. Nope, no on there. But perhaps the question was rhetorical. Oli simply gave a nod in reply, feeling too awkward to really talk when he didn't fully understand what would be the best reply. Perhaps he was thinking too much?

Although Oli was curious, he wasn't exactly able to take in everything at once; catching glimpses of random scenes from all around him, growing slightly overwhelmed by all the sudden events. A lizard man, Robocop? A girl with white hair, another with brown hair and; looking out into the distance he first noticed another metal looking man with green glowing slits on his mask thingy. He had seen similar looking people to this man and Robocop in his world, but knew little about them due to waking up in his own world with no memory. Too many conversations going on at once. Oliver stayed crouched quietly trying to take in everything at once. A man with wings, a female with wings too. A strange looking female with horns conversing with winged boy and dragon girl. Sounded like cheap superhero names. Oli had no idea what a dragon was and just by looking at the female's companion, Oli was lost for the right word to call it and simply called it a lizard in his mind. Some random purple themed girl teleported out of no where to the other group followed by a heavily armored man. So many people! Oliver felt sick. Suddenly a woman cursed something loudly, only briefly catching the words fuckers. He watched the fire caused by her rage glow brightly, it was pretty but very alarming. Why were all women pretty but alarming?

Okay, Oliver wasn't going to look at anyone anymore, it just made him more nervous, and the more nervous he grew, the closer he was to doing something stupid. Everyone seemed occupied which was good, no attention on him. He decided to look at the items people had; which honestly didn't help. Nearly everyone had a gun of sort or something threatening. That large sword that Oi noted as a large knife set off alarm bells. He and pointy things did not mix well. Averting his gaze, he noticed everyone had a bag of sorts. He watch Eze break his in attempts to zip it back up, only to pull a bucket of sea water out and devour a fish from with in. Holy cheese sticks. John was kind enough to show him how to use it at least, he seemed friendly too. Wait where was his bag?

Oliver turned his head, looking around the arena floor for a bag without an owner. Until finally his eyes landed on it. Glancing at everyone briefly, hoping everyone was concentrating combustion woman, he decided to retrieve the bag. Remaining under the umbrella, (although it was redundant from the large shadow looming over from the armored man) his hand detached from where clear stitch marks were present around his wrist. Leaving behind a trail of black mist, his hand floated over to his bag, grabbed it, and floated back over to him. Grabbing the bag with his attached hand, allowing the other to reattach itself, he read the note that said his name on it before continuing to open the bag and look within.

Within his bag, he found boots, pants, an ankle length black coat, food and water. That was it. Nothing in the bag was familiar to him but was certainly a lot more than what he had in his world. Madi spoke up asking curiously what everyone's world's were like and such. That was a good question, Oli too was curious about this, only just realising the fact that there was more than just his own world. It made him feel strangely hopeful. Oliver decided to speak. "In my world, I have no idea what it's called, or what the city is called. Or my birthday..." Oliver trailed off for a moment, trying to think of something interesting to say. "Uh actually I don't know anything about my world, I'm not much help sorry. I do know that people use a lot of technology, the city is basically made of technology. I uh... I kind of woke up there without my memory. Wandered around then ended up here." Oliver wasn't usually this talkative, but the group he was currently with strangely gave him a good vibe. "I'm Oiver by the way but you all can call me what ever you want." He spoke out loud to everyone. Then waited to hear of their world's.

Adira Hasidare

"The gates suddenly closed once again, keeping everyone from leaving before they could escape." Came the omnipreent voice of Rend, and as he said this the gate slammed shut. "Yeah, no way of, uh, tunneling out or anything, or lifting the gates. Nada. Can’t do any weird super speed stuff either- just all stuck there for the time being. Forced to- well- sit tight. And it’s not like you’d even want to leave yet, either!" Adira glared at the gate, mostly because the voice seemed to have no physical form which she would glare at.

"Because there’s...spiders outside the gate! Really massive ones, I’m not kidding- and- and not like the ones the size of your little finger that get in your shower, and you think, “Wow, that’s a pretty big spider” before going ahead and crushing it- no. These ones are...they’re as big as the armored one, and as wide as three people of healthy weight. Yep. And, uh, there’s lava, too! Don’t ask me how the lava isn’t getting in through the grates, but there’s a whole mess of molten rock outside." Moments after Rend said these things Adira would hear the hissing of lava, and Fell started growling as if there were creatures on the other side of the grate. "And the spiders, you ask? Well, they’re also lava-proof! Ha! Bet you didn’t expect that! And there’s...lightning, too! Granted, don’t particularly want to use lightning, but you should know how serious I am about this when I bring in the lightning! I’ll just add in a few goblins, too, for good measure- maybe a few rabid bunnies, a few lava-sharks…"

As Rend went on and it got more noisy outside the gate Adira could feel herself growing aggravated. 'I don't know who the hell this prick is or why he's not letting us leave, but if he's powerful enough to teleport us all here from our own worlds then why the hell wouldn't be be able to summon frickin lava sharks and giant spiders to wait just outside of the gate for us?' sarcasm was dripping from every word in her thoughts, but she pinched the bridge of her nose to try and calm down. "Alright, so much for an escape plan." she muttered to Fell, who grumbled softly, "I guess all we can do at the moment it socialize."

This was definitely an item that sat very low on her list of things-to-do, but it also seemed to be the only option at the moment. But then again Adira was rather peeved at Rend. If his (or it's) intention was to get them to become all buddy-buddy with each other, she was rather inclined not to give him the satisfaction. So instead of walking up to some of the others in the arena, she started rummaging through the bag that'd been provided. Fell however had a different idea.

As Adira reached for the bags he moved away from her, emitting a soft playful growl. "C'mon Fell, let me get into the saddle bags," Adira said, irritated, but Fell had the strange laughter sound again and moved further away. Within moments Adira was sprinting after her companion (who was significantly faster than she) until they came to a halt in front of the Drake and the others. Adira glared at Fell, who wisely avoided her eyes by instead nudging her to look up. Everyone seemed to be staring at this one red headed figure (who as currently on fire, though didn't seem to be dying) and had all taken up defensive stands. Drake looked especially nervous.

"You! What the hell is going on here?! Spit it out you grubby little terrorist or I'll try my very best to make sure that you stay dead this time!" she shouted, pointing accusing at Drake. Forgetting her earlier irritation, Adira stepped in.

"Hey, what the hell is going on here?" Adira said harshly, her hand moving to grasp the hilt of her sword and the spines along Fell's back raised as he growled softly and flashed his teeth. She slipped between the others so that she was now standing between the flaming warrior and her small band of acquaintances (for lack of a better word). Fell moved so he was now standing beside her, and Khojin seemed to be talking to the red-head quietly, probably trying to calm her down. "I don't know who you are or why you're screaming about "Sneaky little Liberty fuckers!", much less what that is supposed to mean." Adira said, her voice cold and defensive, "But maybe it would be wisest to calm down and talk to us, before you go ranting and setting yourself of fire. In case you haven't noticed," Adira's eyes flicked to the others in the arena before returning the the eyes of the red warrior, "you're surrounded by powerful fighters who are equally as confused and on edge as you are. Maybe it would be best you not do anything to upset the delicate balance we have at the moment." Fell gave a soft hiss of agreement as Adira locked eyes with the red-head, watching for any indication she was going to do something stupid.

Khojin through up her hands in resignation, turning away slightly and muttering something indecipherable. At least the warrior seemed open to conversation. She turned back, slapping Drake on the shoulder as she did. "Go get her, buddy. See if you can manage not to get torn in half." Leaning in, she added, "If you can slip my name in I'd appreciate it. Khojin Malqir, strong 'e' on clan name's second syllable, silent 'h' in the first name if you try to spell it later."

She took a step to the side to give them space, clapping the winged boy on the shoulder once more for luck and flashing him an encouraging, toothy grin.

Enter Adira, rising to the occasion and stepping forward in defense of the kid. Khojin couldn't help but be entertained as the Shao girl tore into the larger woman verbally, reciting almost exactly the same thing Khojin had whispered to the boy just a moment before. The girl was tougher than Khojin had given her credit for; she wondered what she'd look like in combat. Maybe the two Shaos would enter combat against each other. Khojin couldn't help but feel herself get a little giddy.

Armory stepped back as Eze began to explore the contents of his newly opened bag. The dragon man almost immediately grabbed a a bucket from out of the bag, an greedily began to consume what looked like fish, and water. Great, not only did Eze seem to be a physically powerful dragon creature but it appeared he was some kind of water loving creature. Water. John was not a fan so he stepped back lest the hungry man accidentally got even a drop of water on his sleek metallic frame.

Just then he turned his attention away from Eze back towards Stride, and Madison who had just posed an interesting question. Where did the other come from? He watched the strange mask creature, now dubbed Oliver, who evidently had very little in the way of memory. John then opened his mouth to answer the pale woman's question when several other odd characters made themselves known, and gathered near the girl with the strange lizard, and another female creature that he couldn't place. One of these new figures, was a massive ratehr imposing set of armor, John was not quite sure if anyone was even in the thing. The other newcomer, a girl who seemed to fit many definitions of the word "fiery" who illicited quite a lot of attention from some of the others.

Armory however was not really concerned with her, at least not compared with what happened not too far from the cyborg. Eze had suddenly began creating sparks from his body, an action which illicited an immediate reaction from John as he quickly jumped back from the dragon, his hands making a not very subtle jerk towards his side arms. And now it seemed he could produce lightening. John was rapidly beginning to dislike the man, and he tried to bury the fear that began to rise in the back of his mind. Eze could quite easily kill the cyborg, so he wanted to keep his distance.

It was the the mysterious voice had decided to address the them again. It was clearly a being of great power, though not one of nerve or decisiveness apparently. The being described quite a few obstacles, many of them ranging from dangerous to outright ridiculous. Though nothing beyond the gate frightened John more than the promise of lightning. He made a quick decision that he would not be the first one to step foot outside that gate.

It was at this point the fiery girl had started to cause some kind of commotion with many of the others. A fight seemed to be on the verge of breaking out between the fiery woman, and the girl with the strange pet. John let out a sigh. Maybe they'd kill each other and John would just have less problems to deal with. The notion of a bloody fight breaking out let a small smile come to his lips, and a chuckle escape his mouth."Well looks like some of the others are in the mood for a fight. This could get interesting. He spoke to on one in particular, though it was quiet clear he was looking forward to a fight. He was eager to possibly learn about the combat abilties of some of the other people trapped here.

Things were escalating quickly since this new woman appeared, and Eze knew that a fight would not be the best thing at the moment. Still in his defensive posture he mental went over everything that he could do. Just clawing one of them would only make things worse. Talking obviously wasn't working. There was no water to throw the woman in to try and cool her down, though Eze doubted just how good of an idea that was. Then one idea that might work came to mind.

Slamming his staff into the ground, he leapt upon it even faster than when he first woke. He was hydrated, hopefully enough to knock one of them out if they retaliated for what he was going to do.

Suddenly the sound of a voice like lightning originated from the half-dragon, the sparking in his mouth seeming to help with it. "No one will fight here so long as I stand!" Boomed his thunderous voice before a massive bolt of light blue shot from his mouth and over those near him. It landed between the would be fighters, kicking up smoke and dust as well as punching a half-foot deep crater into the area it landed. With singed sand and all.

Eze remained balancing on his staff with a single food and his claws obviously at a ready position. If it came to fighting, Eze wouldn't go down without one hell of a fight.

Xinder Ouquid

Xin had been focused on the flaming girl when suddenly some voice that sounded like lightning with words hit his ears like a cannon. Turning to the origin of the sound all that he saw was the bronze colored lizard man with sparks jumping all around his head and mouth. Then something Xin didn't believe could happen did. A perfect bolt of lightning flew from the damn thing's mouth.

Electricity just didn't work like that. It just didn't. It jumped in arks. It followed paths of least resistance. It spread to other things. That was why plasma and slugs were so popular when electricity itself was the best counter to barriers was because they could be controlled and electricity always found a way to disobey.

What was even more surprising was that the landing zone of the bolt didn't just heat up. It fucking exploded. No. No way. There was no water there. Nothing to expand with enough force to do that. When the dust started to settle, Xin spotted singeing along the crater and what looked like some flash formed glass.

Okay, the lizard/dragon man gained some respect. Xin may not have heard what exactly he was shouting about, but a display like that was impressive. Perhaps it was a simpler mind dumped into a body from a place even more advanced than Alphadine, or perhaps it was some natural thing that a whole species adapted. Whatever it was, it was damned impressive. And threatening.

Mixing force and electricity might actually be able to over-power Xin's barriers. While this marked the lizard as a valuable ally, it also made him the priority target of Xin. If that thing were to ever try that with Xin, it would quickly find a fresh bullet right between the eyes.

Upon seeing that Eze was too preoccupied to notice the gesture, Madison pulled his hand back, folding it neatly against his chest before letting it fall to his side. It seemed that the being was happy, at least, draining the bucket as if it contained the nectar of the gods. And, as far as the researcher was concerned, a happy stranger was a peaceful stranger- and a stranger far more willing to establish familiarity. He paused, dusting off his sleeves, and then turned away to better take into view the youth from earlier, who had now hid himself under the umbrella with obvious gratitude.

“It’s no problem, really. With how hot it is in the shade, I can only imagine how it must feel out there.” Madison then smiled brightly at the other- although his expression once again shifted upon seeing the man’s hand suddenly fly from his wrist, wrap about the handles of his bag, and drag it back.

Madison blinked. Then blinked again. Then again, for good measure. After the third and final blink, he gave a small shrug, instead glancing back over to his own bag as if suddenly reminded that it existed. Considering his company- especially with the revelation of them all coming from different worlds- he supposed it wouldn’t hurt to take a look. Dropping gracefully to the floor, Madison opened up the metal teeth and began to rummage inside. There was a sun hat and a pair of sunglasses within (which, to his delight, went wonderfully with his current outfit), various other pieces from his wardrobe, and even the notepad he had thought missing. After putting on both hat and glasses, and tucking his pocketbook back into his pocket, Madison resumed his search, intrigued by the contents lying inside the carry-on.

Beneath the neatly folded clothes, and beneath the small makeup kit that had been nestled up to the fabrics, were more...useful (not that what he had discovered earlier wasn’t useful, of course) contents, to say the least. A rifle was tucked neatly at the bottom of the bag, along with a basic handgun, and a pair of knives. While Madison was curious to explore more of his little weapons’ stash in the way that the others had, he thought better of it, instead turning to the rest.

Other than the same weapons-care items and customary bullets his coworker had, there was little difference between his pack and the basic items of the others- although there was no food or water whatsoever. Instead, his collection of medical items contained a basic blood transfusion kit, and a few plastic containers to go along with it.

Well, that was certainly thoughtful of their captor to include.

Suddenly, a girl’s voice rose above the clamor, calling out that she had found an exit. Intrigued, Madison looked up, only to find that the way out she was gesturing at had been closed off. And, in addition, there appeared to be...spiders? outside. From where he sat, he could see the creatures clawing at the metal, hissing at those who lay within and attempting to slide their fangs through the gaps.

While the girl certainly hadn’t lied, it seemed that, at the moment, any way of leaving was blocked off. Frowning at the thought, Madison decided to turn his attentions onto something more positive- such as the youth who had joined them. He was clearly uncertain about his origins, hinting at amnesia, but Madison continued to smile placidly at the other- Oliver, or so he had said.

“That’s fine, Oliver; you’ve still helped with what you’re able to remember. Thank you.” A short nod, sending what hair was left uncovered by the hat swaying lightly with the movement.

While Madison had been far more lax about the prospect of an escape, Stride had already begun to make her way over to the iron gate, having heard both the shouts and whirring of metal from where she had been standing. However, before she had even reached half the distance between her “starting point” and the gate, it had shut- with what visible land that could have been seen from through the bars quickly being hidden from sight by...lava?

“Well,” Stride suddenly drawled, gaze shifting to the one who had cried out that she had found an escape. “That’s a real interestin’ way of gettin’ out you were thinkin’ of, but, y’know, not all of us can swim through lava, kid.” Before she could even get a proper reaction to her words, however, the situation had suddenly taken a rather interesting turn. The Kora-doppleganger had suddenly started shouting at one of the younger-looking strangers gathered, calling him a terrorist, and- from the looks of it- preparing to fight. The kid didn’t look exactly happy about the redhead’s presence, either, hands flaring up with visible blue light.

Even during such a scenario, Stride couldn’t deny her interest in what was most likely a potential fight. She crossed her arms over her chest as she approached, hoping for a better view, although a scowl quickly overtook her expression at the intervention. Fights were always fun to watch, after all- especially when it was some weird emo kid versus an angry Norwegian. Nevertheless, she refrained from speaking at first, listening to the various back and forth for a while between the groups.

That is, until the Eze creature suddenly shot a bolt of fucking lightning out of nowhere.

“The fuck, Godzilla?” Instinctively, one of Stride’s hands flew to her submachine, preparing to draw it if necessary. “Ya know, when ya rant about not fightin’ then go and shoot fuckin’ lazers everywhere, that kinda defeats the damn purpose!” Squinting at the lizard for a while, she cast a glance over to Kora-Ganger, what familiarity that would have inevitably managed to slip in cast away from the previous surprise.

“You’re sayin’ that kid’s a terrorist?” Stride paused, peering over at Drake skeptically. “Looks like he could barely lift a stick ‘fore breakin’ his arms.”

Almost immediately upon seeing the fight brewing, Madison had practically flown from the ground and onto his feet, staring towards the little gathering with a deep frown. While he truly didn’t know many here asides from Stride and Kora- and even then, the latter wasn’t of his world, by the looks of it- there was still the matter of a godlike being watching over them. Of course, what the being even wanted was up for a debate, but Madison had a strong gut feeling that it wasn’t for everyone to get killed off so quickly. He hurriedly slipped a pair of gloves on from the bag and jogged over, taking care not to use ]too much of his own skills so soon- and casting a friendly nod in the direction of the fairy floating above the arena, hello there, good to meet you and all- and stopped some distance away from the actual fight.

“How about we all just calm down and don’t use any sort of weapons or magic or anything in this situation?” Madison offered. “It won’t do any good here, aside from potentially letting in those.” Almost casually, he gestured over to the gate, where some sort of vibrant red shark was baring its teeth against the grate.

Sharks. Wonderful creatures, really, but not something he exactly wanted flopping about and causing even more havoc.

And the lava also posed a problem, too.

Everyone was being very noisy, now. It was sort of ruining the fun of Adira and the larger woman's confrontation. The Hei-Senn could apparently shoot lightning out of his mouth. Evidently not a Hei-Senn. Khojin had never encountered one who could pull that off; she was fairly certain she'd remember that. She'd also seen the Armored figure move to raise his... what was that, a halberd? Regardless, it was covered in ice now, courtesy of the... actually, she severely doubted that was a Shao. She made a mental note to start asking before she assumed these things.

She scratched the back of her head, eyes flicking lazily between those who had involved themselves in the affair. Considering for a moment, she decided it might be wise to separate the two parties. Casting one last look at the warrior woman's biceps, she tapped Adira and the boy on their shoulders, tilting her head toward one side of the arena to indicate her intention.

Adira Hasidare

A lot of things happened at once.

Then a dragon-man-hybrid charged forward, "No one will fight here so long as I stand!" he called in a thunderous voice between a beam of lightning shot from his mouth and stuck in the center of where they all stood, kicking up smoke and dust as well as punching a half-foot deep crater into the area it landed. At the blast everyone had been knocked back slightly (save for Fell who was bigger and heavier than all of them), and Adira stumbled backwards, but was caught by Fell. The hybrid was perched on his staff in an offensive pose but instead of also assuming a pose of aggression, Adira just shot him an irritated look.

'How ironic for someone who has just declared that he will not tolerated fighting to make the first attack...' she thought, still glaring at him, though she said nothing. "That was completely unnecessary." said the suit of armor, obviously thinking the same thing, and Adira made a sound of agreement. Fell crooned softly and Adira touched his head, assuming him that she was perfectly fine.

"What are you doing?!" came another voice and Adira looked up to see some kind of fairy creature, stiffening slightly as she came closer. She's heard stories of the fae and it was one of the few things that could make her skin crawl. "She's clearly fire bound, and if I know anything about fire, it's that it's volatile. You can't subdue fire with fire! That's how you make it worse!" the fairy woman scolded the hybrid coldly before turning to the rest of them. "Stop showing off. All of you. You, with the black hair and wings. Move from her sight. Miss? Despite their actions, no one wants to hurt you. And we've been transplanted, your old enemies are not here."

Adira made a sound of irritation and sheathed her sword. So much for trying to make friends. Already Adira was feeling crowded. She'd been in this small arena for too long and there was a deep yearning for the open mountain ranges she was used to. And there were so many others at this point, Adira was rather uncomfortable.

A dead man who appeared as a woman.
A true woman with hair white as snow.
A dragon-man-hybrid with lighting and martial arts.
A darkly dressed man with a canine skull as a mask.
A man who seemed to be at least 90% made of metal.
Another man who was wearing a full metal suit.
A girl with black feathered wings,
and Drake with his more serpentine wings.
Khojin (whatever she was supposed to be).
An empty suit of armor that'd just tried to swing at
the enraged red-headed female (who was also on fire still).
A teleporting purple/black dressed girl.
A fairy who apparently thought she was a queen.
And then Adira and Fell.

And these were only the humanoids that Adira had noticed so far. There was a good chance that there were (or at least that there would be) more to come.

It was a drastic understatement saying that Adira was "uncomfortable". There were way too many people who were all way more powerful than she was. What was she even doing here? The only think anyone seemed to have in common was that they'd all been suddenly whisked away from their home worlds. 'What the hell am I doing? I can't leave until Rend allows it, it seems, but staying here will get me killed. And I can't let that happen.' Being so deep in thought Adira didn't notice Khojin's subtle hints, however Fell did and he gently nudged Adira forwards. Fanghur were extremely intelligent creatures, after all.

Adira followed Khojin out of ear shot of the rest of the group. There was still irritation in her expression, though this was to cover up her uncertainty. Absentmindly her hand began stroking Fell's scaly head and he crooned softly, the vibrations slowly calming Adira until she had regained her temperament and was no longer as high-strung as she'd been moment ago.

Everything seemed to happen so quickly.

The first thing the boy noticed was Adira being the first to come and defend him. He didn’t really understand it. Why she had stood up for him at all. He did appreciate it, however, and would make a note to help her out in the future. It was nice to know he wasn’t alone, and Adira was quickly climbing his like list. From there, things seem to build, however. Suddenly people were threatening, others were looking ready to attack, one was even scolding. Khojin was expecting him to run in there and fight, which he quickly responded with a, “What? No.”

People were still rivaling up though. There were swords, lightning… It was getting insane.

“Woah, woah. Hold up, stop all this!” The boy’s peacemaker side showed its face as he took flight and rose above them, joining Ocean so as to properly see Kora. The place had gotten rather crowded, after all, and being 6 feet tall only did him so much good.

“Please, stop. Everyone."

He turned his head now to the ginger-headed girl, speaking calmly over the storm. Or at least, as calmly as he could, considering. "Listen. I don’t want to fight you. I don’t even want to be here right now. Obviously we’ve got our own qualms about each other as natural enemies, but can we put all that aside for the time being? Hear me out. Yes, back home we’re fighting a war. Sure, call me a terrorist if you want, but you can’t tell me Erubesco didn’t also slaughter and hurt people, too. That’s just war, neither of us can help that. And we both hate Liberty, so there’s that?”

He took a breath. “I don’t know where we are. What I do know is this place is probably dangerous, more so than either of us should be toward each other. So let’s just... work together on getting out of here for now, and when we get back home, you can seek me out if you so please. Okay? Look, I’m not saying we have to like each other, just… There are no factions here. No war. So let’s not fight like there is. These people don't deserve it.”

Drake really didn’t want to go into the war in front of everyone right now. It wasn’t relevant, and it was painful to think about. Probably even more horrible to speak of. They didn’t need to hear it. They didn't need to be a part of it.

Ezenvare Queem

Eze ignored those attempting to harass him about his actions. He guessed he had at least 200 years experience over nearly every single one of them, and almost all of them look human enough to not get run out of every town they go to. Through all the other tries to diffuse the situation Eze was still balancing on his staff and glaring at the loud woman. She reminded him of many, many problem causers from Eze's life from soldiers to criminals.

After what seemed like the longest few moments the half-dragon ever had to go through, Madison proposed an actual idea. Introductions. Taking a quick breath, Eze spoke with his deep hiss of a voice once more. "I'm Ezenvare Queem, I hail from Da'vier, and I have had more unprovoked bad experiences with military and guard types than I have scales on my hide."

Eze wasn't too terribly interested in making friends, as he could see those that were too far along the path of evil being protected by those who didn't know better. Besides, his friends had a tendency to die in the most... depressing of ways. Allies, on the other hand, where a different story.

Oliver simply smiled from behind his mask in reply to Madi's friendly words and gestures. She was pretty. A lot of the people were quite fascinating, beautiful, intriguing. He didn't know why he felt that everyone seemed visually pleasing considering he hadn't seen anything like them before. Unless, he had? Somewhere deep within his mind, a lingering feeling or emotion somehow related to this mixture of species. Nah, probably not.

Okay now things were getting a little heated. Literally. The red head was drawing a lot of attention to herself for all the wrong reasons and everyone was on edge. She was staring dragon boy down, perhaps they had some history? How fascinating, more than one person now had someone with them from the same world. If anyone might have been from his world, he'd have no idea, which was a shame. It would be nice to feel some sort of safety and comfort with another.

Oliver jumped, snapping out of his little day dream as he watched the lizard man suddenly jump up onto his stick thingy and shoot bloody lightning from his mouth. The bolt landed straight between the two who looked like they were about to fight as smoke and dust cleared, revealing a fairly large crater. His eyes were wide and he couldn't help but feel the need to stay dead still and hold his breath. "Holy shit." He said out loud to himself.

Things only felt worse now as the red head's flames were stronger and she ordered everyone to back off. There was ice, a flying woman too now. Everyone was talking and things felt slightly more calm. Oliver finally released a very long, loud breath, almost forgetting he was stopping himself from breathing. It was now that he realised that Madi and Stride had left and were with the others. When did that happen? Oliver, a bit puzzled, looked around to understand his current position better. "Well. At least I have the umbrella to myself now." Just casually talking to himself. He could see that John, or Robocop, the lizard man, Eze and green eyes metal man were the only ones nearby.

Oliver decided to first, put on his boots, although they looked god awful with his current attire, at least his feet wouldn't burn on the hot round. Then stood up, making sure to keep hold of the bag and umbrella, then turned to the others. "Well." He said out loud to no one in particular. "Call me crazy but I think it best to stay together as a group. For now anyway." Yes he was very crazy. Great idea Oliver, go towards the dangerous group of strangers. And he did just that. He didn't want to be alone considering what lay behind the safety of the walls that surrounded them. Everyone needed to stick together to get out of this mess.

"Hi I'm Oliver." Oliver suddenly said quite loudly over all the talking once he finally reached the gathering of people. His words far too stern and awkward for a proper greeting as he lifted his hand to give them all a wave, only to have it fall off out of nervousness. He was greatly embarrassed now. His nerves got the better of him. He felt real stupid. Oliver stood there, quite frozen, as his hand lay on the ground. With any luck everyone would have been far too interested in the drama with the red head to notice his embarrassing greeting. "Rend you can just bury me alive now." Wonderful first impression Oli. Good job.

Khojin sighed and slumped against the wall of the arena, tail curling around her legs as she slid down into a seated position. She closed her eyes, the voices of the others growing distant as she allowed her mind to wander. She was peripherally aware of Adira's presence, but it was far away, inconsequential as she retreated into the depths of her mind.

In her mind's eye she could see herself flying through door after door, searching for the one she needed, only to have it disappear whenever she got close. Frustrated, she called out to her quarry, only to be met with the same hollow silence she'd encountered the last two times she'd done so. The more she searched, the more she was confronted with the possibility that what she was searching for would be something she wouldn't find - couldn't find. That was not a possibility she would accept.

She came back to the present, feeling the warmth on her skin and the hard stone floor beneath her. Her eyes fluttered open slightly, landing on Adira holding some kind of flute, though whether she was about to use it or had already used it Khojin couldn't tell, unaware as she was of how long she'd spent in her own thoughts. She shifted slightly, her butt starting to feel sore from sitting on the hard ground.

"Much into music?" she asked, voice a bit hoarse. Had she fallen asleep? She didn't think so, but her voice suggested she might have, if only for a few minutes.

Adira looked down at her flute, which Fell had placed in her hand. 'What...?' she was confused by his actions. Now hardly seemed time for playing a song, but as she looked into his eyes she could see that there was more behind his actions than for them to be a part of some silly little game. Adira sighed softly and rubbed Fell's head who crooned softly in response, drawing a small smile from her. 'He must be afraid,' she thought, 'Undoubtedly this entire ordeal has been more stressful for him than for I. Perhaps a song would help calm his nerves, and maybe my own to a degree.'

"Alright bud, alright," she said as he nudged her arm again and looked at her expectantly, "But just a short, soft tune, okay? If something happens in the next few minutes then I don't want to be caught off guard all because I had to play you a lullaby." Adira's voice was quiet and had a playful tone, but underlying her voice there was genuine worry. She was very worried that she'd be caught off guard should something happen - however as Fell crooned softly she felt herself relax slightly. As long as Fell was beside her things would turn out okay.

Adira patted his head again before leaning back against the arena wall and putting the flute to her lips.

The song she played was... breathtaking. Though she was playing softly, as she only intended for the song to be heard by herself and Fell (and Khojin, though this was only because she was standing right next to them), the mild breeze of the desert that filled the arena seemed to have a different idea and it easily carried the clear notes of her song to the others in the arena. Though the song was so very faint that if one was talking too loudly they many drown it out with their voice, the tune itself was stirring - a song of being lost and of holding onto a swiftly fleeting hope of find one's way, but a song of hope nonetheless.

Indeed it was calming, and not just to the listeners but the the player as well. With every soft note Adira felt herself unwinding, all that panic and confusion ebbing away for the time being. She was so focused on her song that she didn't noticed herself slowly slide down the wall into a sitting position, nor did she notice as Fell laid down beside her with his tail draped lazily over her legs. When she finally finished the song and the last note faded away she sighed contently.

"Much into music?" Khojin asked, having come out of her daze, but Adira merely chuckled quietly. All her anger and stress seemed to have replaced with a feeling of serenity and she remained in that sitting position for a few moment before cracking a smile. Reaching over his tail, Adira patted Fell's hindquarters and he looked back at her with a smug toothy grin. "Yeah yeah, I see what you do there." she said, rolling her eyes at him (though her smile grew wider), "Thanks." Fell chuffed in response and Adira lightly smacked his hindquarters, only making him laugh a little harder.

"C'mon. Maybe it's time we play nice and actually try to make some friends, rather than just some allies." she said and put the flute back into it's pouch. Fell stood, helping Adira up with his tail as if he couldn't agree more. Let it never be said that Fanghur weren't intelligent creatures.

One moment Kichi was casually venturing through the forests of his world, on the hunt for a certain person corrupted by a demon. He was going to be paid for this job too. He'd do it anyway even if he wasn't paid. The money was simply a bonus this time and he kind of needed it considering nothing was for free. The next, he finds himself surrounded by darkness. It was such a strange place to be in. It did not feel as though the lights had gone out but more like he was in a strange realm dedicated to the colour black. He wasn't sure how to explain it but he couldn't say it was a very comforting place. The Rend, this Rend guy, he sounded like an idiot. Like some employee hired out of pity. He sounded so unsure of his own words, and all that rambling was pretty annoying.

Although the idea was quite intriguing that this strange being came up with, it would have been nice to be notified in advance. Kichiro suddenly felt his stomach drop, as if he was falling before his mind went blank and there was silence. Kichi lay there on the hot, colourful mosaic tiles. He was conscious and felt like he was waking up after a long nap. Didn't feel like moving, just wanted to really go back to sleep. But it was a bit hard with lightning bolts, ice, fire and yelling happening around you. Kichi simply stirred, groaning out of irritation. He wasn't too far from the gathering of troglodytes, that's how he'd see them for now anyway. A bunch of uncivilised cave people fighting over who gets to light the fire first.

The bickering didn't seem to end and just went on and on. Kichiro rolled over onto his side, eyes lazily open now as he studied the gathering of strange looking people. They were certainly an odd bunch. Kichi couldn't help but get excited over the possible fun things headed his way. Considering how emotional some of them were it would be too easy to toy with them. The soothing sounds of a flute playing nearby only made him want to sleep even more. How annoying that he would be forced to wake up. "Oh my god no one cares." Kichi said out loud to no one in particular; at was almost aimed at everyone really. A shame the peaceful ones couldn't keep the brats under control. "No one cares if you think you're stronger than they are. And no one cares that you lost your damn daughter, go have a cry somewhere else. Is this really going to be some kind of stupid fight over 'my guns are bigger than yours'. Or hey I'm angry because you did bad things in my world?" Kichiro himself was in fact, one of those brats. He liked to stir shit and most of his statements were probably not even relevant but simply there to make someone annoyed or to see who would get annoyed first.

"Why don't you all take a fine look at green eye metal man over there. Use him as a role model for how to take your anger out on other things." With that said he pointed casually with his thumb at Xinder who was casually and amusingly tearing a lava shark apart. Kichiro grinned at the sight. He hoped to see the man do that to a person some day. All of the white hair male's words were spoke in a calm and lazy tone. As if he were forced to read something out in front of the class by the teacher. Madison was doing quite well with trying to keep things calm, hopefully her words would work and everyone would calm their tits. Otherwise. "Fighting would be such a waste of time right now. Especially considering we only just got here. Surely there are more fun things to do." Kichiro didn't care if his earlier statements struck a nerve or anything, and a simple insult headed his way would only encourage him to be a pest even more. To think that the creatures in his world were fun to toy with, imagine the surprises this lot had in stall for him.

"Oh and I'm Kichiro. Destroyer of imbeciles or something like that. Yeah."

With all the arrogance and stupidity flying around, Ocean was tired of dealing with these creatures
and ashamed of herself for even getting involved in their “I’m the best” contest. However, it was
when another newcomer told the woman on fire that her losing a child didn’t matter- /What an
arrogant selfish ass, who says that, ever?/ - that the fairy just...gave up. She landed over at the
site of her waking, rummaging through her provided bag. One of her clips was there, thankfully,
and she pulled back her locks, the weight on her head lessening significantly as the hair became a
much more manageable mid back length. She also found the hilt of a sword, which she shrank
and placed in her pocket, and a miniaturized bow along with several arrows of water fey make with
the distinctive slots in the metal body. Renewed, she began to pull out the water
she had - multiple bottles, much more than anyone else - and finally, in a box at the bottom, she
found them. Capsules, one of her nation’s most well known weapons.

The queen’s next step was to scan the minds of those present with a spell for telepathy, finding
herself shocked when the woman to greet her first was a male vampire (in a dress) who
happened to be one of the most sensible there by her own personal judgment. She walked over
briskly, and dropped the bag with all its water replaced beside him, before kneeling to pull out the
box and show the vampire its insides.

“You seem to be sensible, so I’m hoping it’s not wrong to let you have these.” she told him,
opening the tin to reveal pale blue, well, capsules, on the inside.”They freeze any liquid they come
into contact with instantly, including blood, which is why we often use them within our weapons to
make any strike devastating. You seem like you won’t run around on a murder spree.” she put the
capsules away, and stood back up with three of the bottles of water, which she held in her arms
while creating a small but strong shield over Madison, and out of courtesy, his companion Stride.
Having to shield the man’s world companion reminded her to be kind, and she looked around, also
shielding others not involved in making things worse, the cyborg and the flute girl with her dragon
companion included.

Then she walked back to the scene of the fight, placidly opening the three bottles and setting them
on the ground. “Maybe Rasteva needs an upgrade to hear better, because that isn’t what I said.”
she informed him lightly, fluttering up to his “eye” level. “And you,” she flew over to Drake,
“should land, alright?” Finally, she moved over to the newcomer, and her face said she would very
much like to spit on him. “How much of a bastard are you, to tell a mother losing her child doesn’t
matter? You should be ashamed.”

She waited for no replies, only flying as high as the grates above them would allow. The water in
the bottles flew up to meet her, and she dipped her hands into it, gathering herself, before
unleashing her powers. Storm clouds flew in, with pelting rain that soon turned into snow, sleet and
hail. With this distraction, force-fields shoved most of the aggressors away from each other and
back into the walls. The storm, confined to the arena because Ocean wasn't arrogant enough to
take on a sea of lava, grew fiercer, while the fairy flew lower, tossed wet hair from her face, and
slashed a hand before her. Before her, what seemed to be a tear in the air appeared, pouring in
sunlight, and Ocean slipped through with a cheeky wave. It sealed behind her, and immediately,
the storm died down. Soon the sky was back to blankly sunny cloudless blue, and without the water and
melting ice on the ground, there was no evidence anyone had been there at all

...Where’s Ocean?

What happened- I- where did she go? What just happened? What...wait.

How…? Characters...characters
don’t do this. Characters can’t do this! They can’t just- just get up and walk away from the Rend like this! That’s ridiculous! They- they can’t- but what if she did...

EVERYTHING IS GOING HORRIBLY WRONG.

N-no, it’s too early for everything to be
that bad, Rend! Sure, the gates just- just magically opened themselves, and sure, one of the characters just- just somehow left, but...but it’s fine! I can still do this! After all, every GM starts off rockily, right? They always have that one that ends up going all...like this, right? In fact, I’d say I’m doing decent, given the...uhm, the characters I picked up. And yeah, it’s my first one! Nothing to feel bad about! I just need to, uh, start things now. Intervene.

”Okay, everyone! I- well, one of your fellow...people just ended up leaving, but...but don’t worry, alright? I’m pretty sure that no one else can do that, but- but I probably have to make sure, uh...Heh. Sorry! B-before I do anything like that, though, I just want to go ahead and clear up a few things. Actually, uh, y’know. Do my job and all.

“Well, I just want to go ahead and clarify that
nobody is supposed to kill anyone here. Yep! Haha, yeah, no, uh, trying to cut people in half, shoot someone in the head, noooope. In fact, you’re actually doing the exact opposite of what I wanted, if you can believe that! Weird, right? Heh. Basically, uh, I’m going to send you all out to do these amazing missions! Fun, right? You’ll be explorers of a new world, and you can fight evil monsters and things like that! Everything you could want, I’m sure- but, uh, still, no killing the other people here? You’re supposed to form a nice little group down there, and, uh, not supposed to attack everyone else? In fact, you guys will actually, ehm...get...punished if you do anything like this again! Scary, right? Nobody wants that. And you’re also supposed to protect each other, too, so if you don’t do that, you’ll...Also get punished!

“Now, now, I know what you all must be thinking- ‘But Rend, you sound like some evil god trying to watch us all suffer!’ I would also like to clarify that I am neither a god, demon, daemon, daedra, angel, death, Gifted, or anything like that. You guys are
not, in fact, in hell. But I do have to be a bit strict in things, however, since you all are so...uh, violent? And because one of you just suddenly up and left, but, anyway. Let me just, uh, clear my throat here…”

Suddenly, several of the characters found themselves feeling...well, not as absurdly strong. Got to even the playing field and all that, but, eh-hehm. Don’t want to end up causing more trouble, but, uh, the ones with the most skills and powers and magical stuff ended up with less. Like Rasteva, and Eze- mainly because I’m just kind of worried about how far this will, uh, escalate, if they’re so strong...Uhm, and, uh, the other ones who triggered the problems, um, got less strong somewhat, too, and, uh, yeah. Less power. Of course, not planning on, uh, taking away from those who need the power, but yes. Weakened somewhat. This is both punishment and to make sure nobody else escapes.

“Now, I’m going to remove the lava and, uh, other things right now. And open the gate properly. I expect for all of you to get along at this point, or else, you know. Punishment. Have fun!”

With that, all obstacles that had been placed outside the arena vanished, and the gates began to open once more…

Adira Hasidare

As Adira stood and moved to walk towards the others, Rend's omnipresent voice rang out, sounding rather flustered (which was odd if this being was trying to play god). However he managed to bumble his say through explaining that not only were they not supposed to kill each other (which was a relief) but that they would be "punished" if they tried. This coming from the being that summoned lava sharks and giant spiders because Adira opened a gate, she was not eager to find out what his concept of "punishment" was.

More than that though, they were all supposed to work together to go on this heroic quests he'd supposedly be assigning them. Looking at the others Adira couldn't help but to wonder exactly how thoroughly Rend had thought this through. If he'd intended for everyone to get along and work together, he probably shouldn't have chosen a group of people from opposite sides of an active war. She also noted that, while everyone else was exceptionally powerful, she was somewhat on the weaker side which would make it rather difficult for her to keep up with them on their missions.

This thought was addressed a moment later when Rend said:

As he said this a strong gust of wing blew through the arena and past- no, through- the bodies of the characters. She saw many of the more powerful beings sway as the wind blew through them, appearing to have been significantly weakened (especially that fairy who seemed to have just caused a hurricane on a whim). However when the wind reached Adira she felt... well, the same actually. Nothing seemed to have happened to her. Too bad.

However as she glanced over at Fell she could see that he was equally confused, the scales on his back rippling oddly as if his muscles were sore. There were strange lumps under the skin that hadn't been there before. They bore a resemblance to young adult Fanghur who were in the first stages of wing development, however Fell had not reached that age so Adira quickly scratched that off her mental list of explanations. Before she could ponder any further, Rend spoke again.

“Now, I’m going to remove the lava and, uh, other things right now. And open the gate properly. I expect for all of you to get along at this point, or else, you know. Punishment. Have fun!”

At these words the gate did open, the monsters and lava having disappeared. Adira looked at Fell but he stared back at her in equal confusion. "Well, I guess we know why we're here..." she said slowly, still trying to process all of this, "If we're all supposed to work together like some big, happy family then the first step would be to go meet everyone. And not pick a fight this time." Fell bobbed his head in agreement and Adira hesitantly started walking towards the group of now significantly weakened heroes.

Ezenvare Queem

After Eze's few words to Rasteva, all that any of the others did was shout at each other. Figuring that his intervention would be, once again, pointless the half-dragon began walking back to his bag. Almost halfway through his little walk a storm picked up. The rain Eze liked, but as it escalated he simply dug his claws into the ground to prevent himself from moving with its wind.

Even with the storm, Eze managed to make progress to the bag. However, as soon as the storm stopped the being that brought them here spoke up. Something about things not turning out how it wanted to. Perhaps the 'god' should have made a place a little better for introductions, or given everyone some time before sending them all to the same place. Eze didn't care at this point. The only thing he cared about from this being was the fact that it mentioned that the exit was now open.

Then it happened. Just an arm's reach from his bag and Eze dropped to the floor. The air was becoming dryer, his mind foggier, his muscles more tired, and his scales dulled of their bronze-like shine. Then his shoulders began feeling pain beyond anything he had ever experienced. From his crawling position, the half-dragon let out a long, loud, high-pitched screech like a dragon mounted on a pike. All the while his wings were being forced from his back, slowly growing out to 6 and a quarter feet each. After 5 or so minutes of the excruciating pain, the death screech ended as Eze shakily stood up. Finishing his march to the bag, Eze quickly opened it up only to devour the once again full bucket of water and fish.

Placing his bag's straps around his neck and rolling his wings on his back, Eze shakily marched towards the gate. Useless. I am weak. How am I supposed to fight evil like this? No, I useless. Just another reminder as to how useless I am. I couldn't even stop a fight, how am I supposed to protect everyone else?
