Race
Human. Although his mother was Human and his father a Demonic, Kichiro is full Human and was born Human. His magic was passed down from his mother and father.

Magic
Sacrificial Health - Heals the target however another person or living thing's health must be sacrificed to heal the target. However this can be used to harm others also. When someone is badly injured it could take away the remaining health and kill them. If someone is completely healthy and fine it could be used to simply make them feel weaker.

Sacrificial Defence - If Kichiro ever finds himself in a threatening situation, he is able to use his blood to make a shield of some kind. To do this he must make a small cut anywhere on his body enough to draw blood. This then allows him to bend the blood into a thick matter. Although not too much blood is needed to make a decent shield, if the shield is broken he will lose all the blood used to make it in the first place. If he gets away successfully with the shield still, he can bend it to return to his body. It is possible that eventually he may be able to bend the blood of others but for now it is impossible for him and it would probably cause too much strain and harm himself more than the other.

Static Speed - After rubbing his hands together at a fast pace for only 5 seconds, an electric energy can be seen forming around him, sparks and such are seen pulsing from around his body. Followed by a bit of concentration, Kichiro is now out of sight in the blink of an eye. Although this is great for getting away and for fast attacking and tricking the opponent, within those 5 seconds the enemy could already be on his way to attack Kichi. Also a brief electric trail is left behind him as well as a faintly black or burnt ground, mainly footprints. The electric trail is gone after 3 seconds though so it isn't harmful to follow the trail and easily find him. So with some concentration and observing you can break through his speed and lay a blow at the right time.

Inner Maelstrom - Kichiro can use his electric powers freely as it is something passed down from his mother. He can control the strength of his electric power from a simple small electric shock or zap to freak people out randomly, to the ability to create something equivalent to a violent thunderstorm. Although the stronger it is, the more energy it uses. Creating something like a thunderstorm is something he might use when nothing else will work as it really drains him to the point of being unable to use any other ability or run away.

Weakness(es)
- Earth Magic. Although his electricity could easily break a rock in half, a large amount of thick, Earth is easily unharmed by his electricity, so it would require more energy for him to go up against someone who uses Earth Magic.
- Water in general. Although he could electrify water and fry whoever is in the water, it can backfire. If Kichiro were to be drenched in water or wet from water anywhere on his body, he could easily electrocute himself of that area.
- Kichiro is also easily angered and annoyed, simply bringing up his mother and father can cause him to lose concentration and screw up, you'd think anger would make him stronger but it causes him to lose control and injure himself in the end. It's the only time he could possibly lose control, and it's not because he can't control his powers it's his emotions he can't control.
- Kichiro is quite easily persuaded especially when it's about something he agrees with. Such as someone might say that all people who can't control their magic should be eliminated, he'll be intrigued and agree and that person could then possibly manipulate Kichi to kill or harm someone they might have said is dangerous or a threat when they are indeed not a threat.

Equipment
- A small, sharp but very useful dagger. When he has no energy to use any magic his dagger is what he relies on so he's made sure he actually knows how to use it other wise it's useless.
- A small back-pack full of clothes, food, water, a few medical things like bandages in case he can't use his magic.

Personal Description
Kichiro is slender, tall, a bit toned, not the most muscular guy but he's nimble which makes up for his lack of strength. He has long hair that only just sits at the base of his neck, white, messy, a long front fringe which is probably due for a trim soon. His eyebrows are also white, sharp, pointed and thin. His eyes a bright crimson colour. When he smiles it's quite wide and sinister. His nose is small and round. Kichiro's skin looks rather soft and is milky white, quite pale, due to not really enjoying his time in the sun much. His clothing varying in style, consisting of mainly black and white. Usually seen wearing long sleeved shirts, normal convenient, pants for moving around it which are then tucked into combat looking faded black boots.

Original Cannon
Kichiro comes from a world where different species live in their own select cities. Humans in one, Nymphs in another etc. Some cities allow certain races or even all races into their city, whereas others either don't allow any others or only a select few. Before the great war, the cities where quite open to all species entering their homes, everyone was fine with one another. Until demons started corrupting their land. All the races worked together to try and stop them but they weren't getting anywhere and the Demons continued to plague the land. The humans with their magic and intelligence of otherworldly elements, discovered the ability to trap a demon within a human. The first test was successful and most alarmingly powerful. They finally decided to create an army of demonic filled humans and with this they were able to win the war. All species took on this newly found weapon, all species had someone with a demonic trapped within. However, after the war, everyone started to realise that the people were starting to lose control of the demons within them before becoming corrupted beings, no longer who or what they were known as before. All cities started to fear one another, blaming each other for another persons demonic. Gradually, new laws, rules and regulations formed, banning certain races and discriminating against one another. Some cities made it a rule to never leave their city walls. If you did you would never be able to return. Others were more welcoming to certain races and certain rebellions and justice group formed. One was to kill anyone who couldn't control their power to avoid a war from happening again. Another would take in anyone who couldn't control their power and help them learn how to control it under strict rules and restrictions in general. Both sides fought for what they thought was the right things to do while others related to the cause were caught in the middle. Kichiro was invited to join the side which kill those who cannot control their powers. Although he agreed with their ways, he is not the type to take sides and doesn't like taking orders from others.

Personality
Kichiro is usually quite kind to those who don't get in his way. When someone does something that he dislikes, he's blunt about it and not afraid to tell them that they irritated him just now for what they did. He's willing to help others but sometimes he can be a bit selfish in the sense he finds it tedious to lend someone a hand unless it will benefit him too. He enjoys meeting different people, he likes to study them, see what different things make them tick or angry, how they react to certain words and actions. At times this makes him seem quite sadistic and well, he is a bit of a sadist. He finds it hard to trust others since most races still hold a grudge against others and he knows very well that Humans aren't liked by almost every race. When he's proven wrong, he hates admitting defeat and gets annoyed with himself, a bit of a baby in the sense that he'll pout and frown and stay silent for a while, while he wallows in his defeat. Kichiro isn't as serious as he may seem at first; he enjoys joking around, tricking people, scaring people, he thinks everyone should try and have as much fun as they possibly can in such a puzzled world full of distrust and grudges. Kichiro hasn't exactly experienced love before, he can't recall a time where he might have had affectionate feelings towards someone and so he doesn't know what would attract him to another person. This could be because he loses friends quite quickly and prefers it that way. He prefers not to get attached so that way he won't get hurt if he loses them and can move on easily. It has been hard for him though to say goodbye to the people he meets along his journeys; but he makes sure to leave early to avoid such sadness. When he's angry, he's quick to judge and make decisions without thinking of the consequences or how it might affect others. When he's certain his opinion is right, despite the arguments that may occur beforehand, he will do everything in his power to make sure what he believes is right follows through. Kichiro is positive on the outside but negative on the inside, he contradicts himself in the sense that he hate negative people and pessimists when he in fact is one. He feels that the only way to survive is to be powerful, and without power he feels weak, useless, nothing, trash to be easily tossed away by those stronger than him and so he fears defeat. Kichiro enjoys traveling around as much as he can, even if the places to travel to are limited. He doesn't have any family that might be waiting for him but one day perhaps he would like to have a place he could call home.

History
Kichiro's mother was Human and his father Demonic. They loved each other very much and his father had been in a quite infamous war, he was one of the people who had a Demon sealed within him. His father, unlike most, did well to keep himself in control and never really used his magic ever, it was the only way he would feel comfortable with not losing himself to the Demon within. His mother and father knew each other for a very long time before they got together. They had been childhood friends and after the war they became a couple and had Kichiro. At birth it was clear that the Demon in his father had affected how Kichiro was born. At first his parents were extremely worried, they thought that somehow his father's Demon had moved on into their baby boy, but this was not the case which they realised after his father could still feel it within. But still they wondered if there was something within their son. Over the years they came to realise nothing was there or else their son would have lost control by now, being only a child and all would make it easier for a Demon to take over. But he was still isolated by the other children who feared him and indeed thought he was a Demon, followed by Kichiro's cries and pleas to convince them he wasn't. His snow white hair and crimson eyes did certainly stand out compared to the other Human kids. But Kichiro grew up this way and learned to deal with it as the children around him got used to Kichiro and realised he wasn't harmful at all. There were some that would of course be cautious around him and want nothing to do with him but all in all he had a fairly nice childhood.

Up until the age of 16 that is. Yes 3 years ago, Kichiro had woken up in the middle of the night to get a drink of water. As he walked past his parents bedroom, he noticed the door was slightly open and within he could hear struggled breathing from a raspy voice. He was scared but worried about his parents, and when he opened the door, what he saw was something no child could ever possibly imagine. His mother's lifeless body lay on the floor, covered in her own blood, and looming over her was his father. Kichiro was struck with fear, shaking, hoping it was a nightmare. His father's breathing stopped for a moment as he slowly turned to look at his son, he himself covered in his mother's blood. Especially around his mouth. What Kichiro saw was not his father however. And what he heard was the voice of the Demon his father had inside him for so long. The Demon said "you will be much easier than your mother." Kichiro couldn't move and before he knew it his father's hands were wrapped around Kichiro's neck. Kichiro struggled to breathe, looking into his father's eyes and pleading for mercy, but his father was no longer there until, it suddenly stopped. Kichiro was shaking as his father suddenly went limp and fell to the floor before him, a large hole was seen in his chest. Kichiro looked at his mother as his mother's arm was outstretched towards his father, shaky it fell to the ground and she gave her son a weak smile as tears rolled down her cheeks. "Kichi your father loved you sweetie. We both love you, be brave my precious boy." And with that she finally passed away. Kichiro was terrified and alone, he began to scream and cry and fall apart until someone finally came in through the front door with much force to see a young Kichi crying uncontrollably. At first everyone thought he did it but after much study of the bodies it was clear the wounds of his father were from a power his mother had only, but how the mother died was uncertain of if it was by the father or Kichi. They thought it wouldn't make sense for his mother to kill his father randomly unless she was protecting herself from him and protecting Kichi. Still a lot of people were more cautious than ever of Kichiro and he felt more alone than ever. A few families cared for him but in the end he was moving from place to place, being tossed around like an unwanted toy until he finally decided when he was 18 to leave and travel on his own. His goal is to make sure things like that never happen again, to exterminate the world of those who pose it a great threat, to kill those who cannot control themselves or their power. And to do that Kichiro craves more power as his hatred for his father poisons his mind and fuels his anger. He's willing to do anything to be powerful enough to kill off anyone like his father. Even make a deal with a demon.

One moment Kichi was casually venturing through the forests of his world, on the hunt for a certain person corrupted by a demon. He was going to be paid for this job too. He'd do it anyway even if he wasn't paid. The money was simply a bonus this time and he kind of needed it considering nothing was for free. The next, he finds himself surrounded by darkness. It was such a strange place to be in. It did not feel as though the lights had gone out but more like he was in a strange realm dedicated to the colour black. He wasn't sure how to explain it but he couldn't say it was a very comforting place. The Rend, this Rend guy, he sounded like an idiot. Like some employee hired out of pity. He sounded so unsure of his own words, and all that rambling was pretty annoying.

Although the idea was quite intriguing that this strange being came up with, it would have been nice to be notified in advance. Kichiro suddenly felt his stomach drop, as if he was falling before his mind went blank and there was silence. Kichi lay there on the hot, colourful mosaic tiles. He was conscious and felt like he was waking up after a long nap. Didn't feel like moving, just wanted to really go back to sleep. But it was a bit hard with lightning bolts, ice, fire and yelling happening around you. Kichi simply stirred, groaning out of irritation. He wasn't too far from the gathering of troglodytes, that's how he'd see them for now anyway. A bunch of uncivilised cave people fighting over who gets to light the fire first.

The bickering didn't seem to end and just went on and on. Kichiro rolled over onto his side, eyes lazily open now as he studied the gathering of strange looking people. They were certainly an odd bunch. Kichi couldn't help but get excited over the possible fun things headed his way. Considering how emotional some of them were it would be too easy to toy with them. The soothing sounds of a flute playing nearby only made him want to sleep even more. How annoying that he would be forced to wake up. "Oh my god no one cares." Kichi said out loud to no one in particular; at was almost aimed at everyone really. A shame the peaceful ones couldn't keep the brats under control. "No one cares if you think you're stronger than they are. And no one cares that you lost your damn daughter, go have a cry somewhere else. Is this really going to be some kind of stupid fight over 'my guns are bigger than yours'. Or hey I'm angry because you did bad things in my world?" Kichiro himself was in fact, one of those brats. He liked to stir shit and most of his statements were probably not even relevant but simply there to make someone annoyed or to see who would get annoyed first.

"Why don't you all take a fine look at green eye metal man over there. Use him as a role model for how to take your anger out on other things." With that said he pointed casually with his thumb at Xinder who was casually and amusingly tearing a lava shark apart. Kichiro grinned at the sight. He hoped to see the man do that to a person some day. All of the white hair male's words were spoke in a calm and lazy tone. As if he were forced to read something out in front of the class by the teacher. Madison was doing quite well with trying to keep things calm, hopefully her words would work and everyone would calm their tits. Otherwise. "Fighting would be such a waste of time right now. Especially considering we only just got here. Surely there are more fun things to do." Kichiro didn't care if his earlier statements struck a nerve or anything, and a simple insult headed his way would only encourage him to be a pest even more. To think that the creatures in his world were fun to toy with, imagine the surprises this lot had in stall for him.

"Oh and I'm Kichiro. Destroyer of imbeciles or something like that. Yeah."

With all the arrogance and stupidity flying around, Ocean was tired of dealing with these creatures
and ashamed of herself for even getting involved in their “I’m the best” contest. However, it was
when another newcomer told the woman on fire that her losing a child didn’t matter- /What an
arrogant selfish ass, who says that, ever?/ - that the fairy just...gave up. She landed over at the
site of her waking, rummaging through her provided bag. One of her clips was there, thankfully,
and she pulled back her locks, the weight on her head lessening significantly as the hair became a
much more manageable mid back length. She also found the hilt of a sword, which she shrank
and placed in her pocket, and a miniaturized bow along with several arrows of water fey make with
the distinctive slots in the metal body. Renewed, she began to pull out the water
she had - multiple bottles, much more than anyone else - and finally, in a box at the bottom, she
found them. Capsules, one of her nation’s most well known weapons.

The queen’s next step was to scan the minds of those present with a spell for telepathy, finding
herself shocked when the woman to greet her first was a male vampire (in a dress) who
happened to be one of the most sensible there by her own personal judgment. She walked over
briskly, and dropped the bag with all its water replaced beside him, before kneeling to pull out the
box and show the vampire its insides.

“You seem to be sensible, so I’m hoping it’s not wrong to let you have these.” she told him,
opening the tin to reveal pale blue, well, capsules, on the inside.”They freeze any liquid they come
into contact with instantly, including blood, which is why we often use them within our weapons to
make any strike devastating. You seem like you won’t run around on a murder spree.” she put the
capsules away, and stood back up with three of the bottles of water, which she held in her arms
while creating a small but strong shield over Madison, and out of courtesy, his companion Stride.
Having to shield the man’s world companion reminded her to be kind, and she looked around, also
shielding others not involved in making things worse, the cyborg and the flute girl with her dragon
companion included.

Then she walked back to the scene of the fight, placidly opening the three bottles and setting them
on the ground. “Maybe Rasteva needs an upgrade to hear better, because that isn’t what I said.”
she informed him lightly, fluttering up to his “eye” level. “And you,” she flew over to Drake,
“should land, alright?” Finally, she moved over to the newcomer, and her face said she would very
much like to spit on him. “How much of a bastard are you, to tell a mother losing her child doesn’t
matter? You should be ashamed.”

She waited for no replies, only flying as high as the grates above them would allow. The water in
the bottles flew up to meet her, and she dipped her hands into it, gathering herself, before
unleashing her powers. Storm clouds flew in, with pelting rain that soon turned into snow, sleet and
hail. With this distraction, force-fields shoved most of the aggressors away from each other and
back into the walls. The storm, confined to the arena because Ocean wasn't arrogant enough to
take on a sea of lava, grew fiercer, while the fairy flew lower, tossed wet hair from her face, and
slashed a hand before her. Before her, what seemed to be a tear in the air appeared, pouring in
sunlight, and Ocean slipped through with a cheeky wave. It sealed behind her, and immediately,
the storm died down. Soon the sky was back to blankly sunny cloudless blue, and without the water and
melting ice on the ground, there was no evidence anyone had been there at all

Madison remained unruffled as Rasteva stared him down, doing little more than place a hand upon his face, the other moving to clasp his elbow lightly in an almost contemplative posture. He had to crane his neck a little in order to better meet the thing’s “gaze”, but he managed, and was just about to speak when Eze had chimed in before him. The vampire gave a short nod in the scaled gentleman’s direction at his words, before turning back and giving a roll of his shoulders.

“He’s right, although I have my own reasons for agreeing with him.” Idly, he gestured towards the various bags littered about the arena- either hanging off the shoulders of some, or abandoned on the floor. “From what I’ve seen, everyone has gotten one of these, and each one seems to have the basics of a survival kit. Food, water, medicine; things you wouldn’t really need if you were expecting everyone to start hacking away at each other all of a sudden. To my knowledge, gladiator battles weren’t made up of camping between fights; although feel free to correct me on that point.

“Plus,” without warning, Madison’s voice had took on a lighter tone, as if he was merely discussing a particularly good day. “I don’t really consider myself much of a fighter. Given the...well,” another gesture. “abilities of everyone else, it would be an extremely short battle, wouldn’t it?” A subtle caress of pride. Adding onto this, he added, “And, well, if we are here to fight, I suppose I’ll die, of course!”

This was said even more cheerfully, oddly enough.

To Kora, the vampire gave another slight frown, the jovialness of before having drifted. “I know you didn’t start it, Kora. The most you’ve been doing is calling the boy a terrorist- and I’m sure that there’s evidence of him being one in your world. I don’t blame you- but I do blame the ones who keep trying to stop violence with violence.”

At the sound of a newcomer’s voice, Madison bit back a sigh, and moved to capture this one in his sights, as well. Another youth, by the looks of it. Human. Madison didn’t show any sympathy for the young man being trapped there, however- instead, his features had been pulled into obvious sternness as he regarded the other, words more cold than before. “Mr. Kichiro, losing a child isn’t something to joke about. While I’m sure that you haven’t had to deal with anything like that before, that’s a very raw nerve to hit, no matter the circumstances.”

He had just begun to turn away once again when the fairy woman approached, dropped a bag at his feet, and revealed to him the contents of a container. Madison took a look inside- it appeared to be filled with some sort of...pills? capsules?- before raising his head and listening to the woman’s explanation of what, exactly, they were. As the explanation went on, the seriousness that had been abandoned shortly after looking from Kichiro returned. Carefully, he lowered himself to the ground, taking another glance into the bag before glancing back up at the woman.

“Thank you, ma’am,” he said. Giving a polite nod of his head, he rose from his place on the floor, the new bag slung on his other shoulder. Despite the weight both must have had, Madison hardly seemed bothered, only nodding once more as he watched Ocean. “I’ll do my best to use these responsibly; thank you, again.” While some might have been more skeptical as to what the capsules could do, Madison had seen enough for today to have a healthy amount of openness in regards to what was possible. And if what the woman said was true, then...Well, he would do well to keep them to himself, especially given his company. As if to prove his point, Madison caught sight of one of the captives brutally mauling a shark from within the grate from the corner of his eye.

When the shield was cast over him, and the storm appeared shortly after, his belief of the capsules’ power only grew. Watching as the rain fell about him, with several of the offenders being blasted about, Madison clutched his sun hat tight and remained where he was. He watched as, almost as soon as it came, the storm passed, with its maker having disappeared completely from the arena.

That just about confirmed the capsules twice by this point, Madison thought brightly.

...Where’s Ocean?

What happened- I- where did she go? What just happened? What...wait.

How…? Characters...characters
don’t do this. Characters can’t do this! They can’t just- just get up and walk away from the Rend like this! That’s ridiculous! They- they can’t- but what if she did...

EVERYTHING IS GOING HORRIBLY WRONG.

N-no, it’s too early for everything to be
that bad, Rend! Sure, the gates just- just magically opened themselves, and sure, one of the characters just- just somehow left, but...but it’s fine! I can still do this! After all, every GM starts off rockily, right? They always have that one that ends up going all...like this, right? In fact, I’d say I’m doing decent, given the...uhm, the characters I picked up. And yeah, it’s my first one! Nothing to feel bad about! I just need to, uh, start things now. Intervene.

”Okay, everyone! I- well, one of your fellow...people just ended up leaving, but...but don’t worry, alright? I’m pretty sure that no one else can do that, but- but I probably have to make sure, uh...Heh. Sorry! B-before I do anything like that, though, I just want to go ahead and clear up a few things. Actually, uh, y’know. Do my job and all.

“Well, I just want to go ahead and clarify that
nobody is supposed to kill anyone here. Yep! Haha, yeah, no, uh, trying to cut people in half, shoot someone in the head, noooope. In fact, you’re actually doing the exact opposite of what I wanted, if you can believe that! Weird, right? Heh. Basically, uh, I’m going to send you all out to do these amazing missions! Fun, right? You’ll be explorers of a new world, and you can fight evil monsters and things like that! Everything you could want, I’m sure- but, uh, still, no killing the other people here? You’re supposed to form a nice little group down there, and, uh, not supposed to attack everyone else? In fact, you guys will actually, ehm...get...punished if you do anything like this again! Scary, right? Nobody wants that. And you’re also supposed to protect each other, too, so if you don’t do that, you’ll...Also get punished!

“Now, now, I know what you all must be thinking- ‘But Rend, you sound like some evil god trying to watch us all suffer!’ I would also like to clarify that I am neither a god, demon, daemon, daedra, angel, death, Gifted, or anything like that. You guys are
not, in fact, in hell. But I do have to be a bit strict in things, however, since you all are so...uh, violent? And because one of you just suddenly up and left, but, anyway. Let me just, uh, clear my throat here…”

Suddenly, several of the characters found themselves feeling...well, not as absurdly strong. Got to even the playing field and all that, but, eh-hehm. Don’t want to end up causing more trouble, but, uh, the ones with the most skills and powers and magical stuff ended up with less. Like Rasteva, and Eze- mainly because I’m just kind of worried about how far this will, uh, escalate, if they’re so strong...Uhm, and, uh, the other ones who triggered the problems, um, got less strong somewhat, too, and, uh, yeah. Less power. Of course, not planning on, uh, taking away from those who need the power, but yes. Weakened somewhat. This is both punishment and to make sure nobody else escapes.

“Now, I’m going to remove the lava and, uh, other things right now. And open the gate properly. I expect for all of you to get along at this point, or else, you know. Punishment. Have fun!”

With that, all obstacles that had been placed outside the arena vanished, and the gates began to open once more…

Adira Hasidare

As Adira stood and moved to walk towards the others, Rend's omnipresent voice rang out, sounding rather flustered (which was odd if this being was trying to play god). However he managed to bumble his say through explaining that not only were they not supposed to kill each other (which was a relief) but that they would be "punished" if they tried. This coming from the being that summoned lava sharks and giant spiders because Adira opened a gate, she was not eager to find out what his concept of "punishment" was.

More than that though, they were all supposed to work together to go on this heroic quests he'd supposedly be assigning them. Looking at the others Adira couldn't help but to wonder exactly how thoroughly Rend had thought this through. If he'd intended for everyone to get along and work together, he probably shouldn't have chosen a group of people from opposite sides of an active war. She also noted that, while everyone else was exceptionally powerful, she was somewhat on the weaker side which would make it rather difficult for her to keep up with them on their missions.

This thought was addressed a moment later when Rend said:

As he said this a strong gust of wing blew through the arena and past- no, through- the bodies of the characters. She saw many of the more powerful beings sway as the wind blew through them, appearing to have been significantly weakened (especially that fairy who seemed to have just caused a hurricane on a whim). However when the wind reached Adira she felt... well, the same actually. Nothing seemed to have happened to her. Too bad.

However as she glanced over at Fell she could see that he was equally confused, the scales on his back rippling oddly as if his muscles were sore. There were strange lumps under the skin that hadn't been there before. They bore a resemblance to young adult Fanghur who were in the first stages of wing development, however Fell had not reached that age so Adira quickly scratched that off her mental list of explanations. Before she could ponder any further, Rend spoke again.

“Now, I’m going to remove the lava and, uh, other things right now. And open the gate properly. I expect for all of you to get along at this point, or else, you know. Punishment. Have fun!”

At these words the gate did open, the monsters and lava having disappeared. Adira looked at Fell but he stared back at her in equal confusion. "Well, I guess we know why we're here..." she said slowly, still trying to process all of this, "If we're all supposed to work together like some big, happy family then the first step would be to go meet everyone. And not pick a fight this time." Fell bobbed his head in agreement and Adira hesitantly started walking towards the group of now significantly weakened heroes.

After Eze's few words to Rasteva, all that any of the others did was shout at each other. Figuring that his intervention would be, once again, pointless the half-dragon began walking back to his bag. Almost halfway through his little walk a storm picked up. The rain Eze liked, but as it escalated he simply dug his claws into the ground to prevent himself from moving with its wind.

Even with the storm, Eze managed to make progress to the bag. However, as soon as the storm stopped the being that brought them here spoke up. Something about things not turning out how it wanted to. Perhaps the 'god' should have made a place a little better for introductions, or given everyone some time before sending them all to the same place. Eze didn't care at this point. The only thing he cared about from this being was the fact that it mentioned that the exit was now open.

Then it happened. Just an arm's reach from his bag and Eze dropped to the floor. The air was becoming dryer, his mind foggier, his muscles more tired, and his scales dulled of their bronze-like shine. Then his shoulders began feeling pain beyond anything he had ever experienced. From his crawling position, the half-dragon let out a long, loud, high-pitched screech like a dragon mounted on a pike. All the while his wings were being forced from his back, slowly growing out to 6 and a quarter feet each. After 5 or so minutes of the excruciating pain, the death screech ended as Eze shakily stood up. Finishing his march to the bag, Eze quickly opened it up only to devour the once again full bucket of water and fish.

Placing his bag's straps around his neck and rolling his wings on his back, Eze shakily marched towards the gate. Useless. I am weak. How am I supposed to fight evil like this? No, I useless. Just another reminder as to how useless I am. I couldn't even stop a fight, how am I supposed to protect everyone else?

Well, that... solved that? Khojin sighed and pulled herself to her feet, adjusting the bag on her shoulder. This was one hell of a way to get her to do what she already got paid to do.

She studied the wall of the arena; if Rend wanted them to go off on 'heroic quests' to fight 'evil monsters' then there was bound to be some kind of board where they could find their marks, right? Or was there supposed to be some kind of town outside the gate, with this 'arena' just being a gathering point for new arrivals? She didn't see any kind of board from where she stood, so she opted to rejoin the others for the time being.

"So, how we gonna do this?" she called out as she approached. "I figure there's enough here we could form teams, if we wanted." She came to rest next to the white-haired Sha... girl, scratching the back of her head and looking at those around her.

Suit of armor, Magitek Armor Shark Mutilation (now gone, she noticed), a guy who looked to be 80% metal now that she was close enough to see it wasn't armor, wing boy, hot lady, gun dude, umbrella mask, shock lizard, girl who's black clothing wasn't as nice as her's, white-hair boy, white-hair girl, Adira, and others. Haha, yeah. Heroes.

Oh gods, this wasn't gonna end well.

Khojin really wasn't particularly eager to start team-building; getting Adira to accept her as an ally was hard enough, and she wasn't really sure who she could group with, anyway. She was pretty certain the guy in magitek armor wouldn't be up for it, and the red-haired warrior queen likely wouldn't want anything to do with her since she was allied with one of the ones who had sided with the winged boy. He might be a possibility, of course. The suit of armor who had apparently traded his polearm for a sword at some point was questionable; Khojin had no objections to it, but Adira might have other thoughts on the matter, assuming the big guy was even interested. The rest were... strangers. She didn't know enough to say either way. She glanced at white-haired girl out the corner of her eye, looking her up and down. She might be able to handle herself.

Khojin nonchalantly tapped her hand, looking in a different direction to pretend it was an accident. She turned her head to look at the girl, as if only just noticing she were there, and pulled her hand back. "Oops, sorry. My bad." Good. Ice: broken. "I'm Khojin, by the way. Don't think we've met yet."

For all that could be said about what these folks were doing, Stride mused, one thing could be said for certain.

At least seventy percent of the people around here were pretty fucked up.

While it had begun to dawn on her before this, it was only really until she had found herself hunkered beneath some sort of magical shield, storm raging around her, that she really had the time to properly realize just what...interesting company she had ended up with. Within the span of some minutes and whatever seconds, she had watched several people try to kill the clone of someone she knew, defend someone who was- apparently- part of some sort of terrorist-cannibal cult, maul a fucking shark, and go off to play the flute as if all of this wasn’t happening in front of her.

She supposed that it didn’t matter at the moment, however. After all, being picky in a situation like this would just be stupid, unless she decided to march out into the storm and demand better company. Oh, Mr. All-Powerful being that kidnapped us all? Would you mind putting less sociopaths in here, pretty please with a cherry on top? Stride soon stopped putting so much thought into the subject, however, upon catching sight of the source of the storm suddenly tear open...something, hop in, and go off on her merry way like she hadn’t just made a total mess in the arena with her powers.

However, shortly after her disappearance, the clouds slid out of the sky, the water quickly evaporating when exposed to the bright sun. Warily, Stride stepped out from where her bubble had been, giving her bag a little bounce on her shoulder as she glanced about. Part of her was surprised at what had just happened, while the other...well, you could only see so many cyborgs in one day before getting a little expectant of such bullshit. They didn’t get much of a breather, though, as the voice- Rend- soon popped up and began to address the matter of the fairy lady leaving in a panicked manner. “Punishments” and “monsters”; “fun” and “exploring”. In the back of her mind, Stride was reminded of some awkward little kid, but the thought fled her mind soon enough.

Admittedly, the woman had to bite back a snicker upon seeing the suit of armor plant, face-first, into the title.

She found less amusement in Mr. Godzilla screaming his lungs out, and, cringing, she moved to clamp her hands over her ears before they began to bleed. It was only until the muffled cries had completely stopped that Stride tentatively lowered them, and turned, squinting over at the now-opened gates. Thankfully, there was a lot less lava and spiders this time. Stride was just about to look for Madison and a few other people when she felt a light tap on her hand, drawing her attention.

It was one of the girls who had ended up leaving right when things were turning into a complete and utter shitstorm- the one who looked more like some sort of videogame character than a human. Stride raised a brow as the girl acted as if it was an accident, before introducing herself as “Khojin”. The hybrid went over the pronunciation of the rather unique name in her head a few times before giving up, golden eyes narrowing into a squint as she gave the other a lookover.

“Call me Stride.”

And that was all for a while as the woman once again looked over at the gate. Soon enough, however, she turned back, squinting yet again at Khojin. “Ya want anythin’?” While she didn’t exactly have manners at the best of times, considering that they were all supposed to get along and make a team, she might as well try and throw something out there.

Adira Hasidare

Adira took a small step forwards. For the most part it seemed that everyone had managed to reach an uncomfortable truce - this would have to be enough. "I hate to interrupt," she said evenly, addressing all those around her, "But it looks like the only way we are all going to get back to our own worlds-" her eyes flicked towards the noticeably small Rasteva who had just dropped her polearm, "-and back to our normal strength, is to go along with Rend's game."

"He said something about going on an adventure or whatever but, though he hasn't specified what this mission will actually pertain to, the first step would still probably be exiting the arena." Adira's eyes turned upwards. The light had been slowly but steadily moving across the sky whilst they'd been standing in the arena. "If we remain here too much longer, it'll begin to get dark. And, seeing as everything that makes up this world seems to be based on Rend's whims, there's no telling what creatures may travel under the cover of night."

"If we can get out of here before night falls, I can find a place for us to set up camp and see if I can trap anything to eat. If we're fortunate, Rend will tell us what exactly we have to do before he'll allow us to return." She pushed a hand through her hair, meeting the eyes of everyone in the little social-circle. "I also... apologize... for my rudeness earlier," there was a small strain in her voice, making it obvious that she rarely was one to apologize, though she didn't look away from their eyes. "I have no excuses as we are all on edge about this whole situation. However, I am as keen to return to my world as I'm sure you all are. So it may be in all of our best interests to hold a truce, at least until escape is a possibility." Fell nudged her hand and Adira blinked. "Oh, yes, and I am Adira. This is my Fanghur companion, Fell."

Adira Hasidare

"Fell did not receive a bag as everyone else did, and the food that is in mine is not suitable for him to eat long term. So even if you all have food that is fit enough for you I still need to go hunting." Adira answered simply, then made a general gesture towards all of them. "Take a good look around you. As far as I can tell, Rend didn't just make up all of this stuff on his own - he borrowed it from somewhere. Similarly to how he 'borrowed' us from our own worlds - and a considerable number of us your world world in particular, if I'm not mistaken." Her eyes wandered between Kora, Drake and the others that Fell had detected similar scents on (though Adira herself did not yet know their names).

"As for the design of this 'game', it's like a bunch of pieces from different puzzles that a child might've connected together. As far as I can tell regarding the rules and reasoning behind it all..." she offered a lame shrug, "I honestly have no idea. But so far he's make it clear we're to work together and complete a series of tasks which he will assign us. He has even opened the gate and removed it's guardians - which strikes me as a pretty clear indicator that it's his desire is for us to leave the arena."

Adira then looked up towards the sky, shielding her eyes against the slowly descending orb of light. "I don't know how long the day or night last in this place, nor do I know exactly how long we've been here thus far, but time seems to be moving along nonetheless." Adira looked back to the group, making sure to meet Kora's eyes, though her voice was level and lacking hostility as she continued on, "Which brings me to reiterate my previous point: it is unwise to be running around aimlessly in the dark, especially when you're in an unknown and potentially hostile environment. Therefore I am inclined to find somewhere to set up camp before the last of the light disappears."

Fell Vrangr

Meanwhile, Fell had taken an interest in this new kid who'd just jumped onto Drake's back and began talking fast enough to stun one of the faire folk. Where are we? Who are all of you people? Can I pet your dragon? Or like, ride it? I’m Skip the Third. Are we dead? Which afterlife is this? I kinda wanted to meet Cerberus ‘cause I’ve always wanted a dog that didn’t die and that’d be like having three dogs." Now Fell was a touch indignation that this new figure had just referred to him as a dragon, as he was most certainly not, but Fell was also much more understanding than Adira usually was about the misunderstanding. What truly perplexed him was not the hyperactivity this one displayed, but instead the strange scent that emanated from him. Though Fell had encountered many unfamiliar scents in his lifetime, this one was completely foreign to him. Like if dragonfire had engulfed an alchemist hovel. When Drake flew off (rather quickly, he noticed) Fell slowly moved closer to the yellow-eyed being, sniffing his leg in puzzlement.

Ma’am. While others might have chosen to correct what was, really, a completely honest mistake, Madison chose not to- at least, not for the moment. He hardly bothered these days until it was completely necessary for him to do so, and the young man had already flounced off before he could have the chance to do so. As such, the vampire merely blinked once, twice, thrice, then trailed after. It was rude not to answer a question, after all- especially when said question pertained to someone who had escaped captivity as easily as waving her wrist.

As soon as he was in proper earshot once again, Madison slowed to a stop, taking care not to plant himself in a puddle or anything of the sort (these heels had been expensive, after all!) before speaking. “I’m afraid that she didn’t tell me anything about getting out,” he admitted. “She was in a bit of a...rush to get out, you could say. All she gave me was a warning before- well, considering you saw her before she left, I’m sure you know what she did just now, too.”

The lie came naturally, the researcher not missing a beat throughout his words. While he was sure that this one wasn’t as...volatile as the others, he was still determined to keep the existence of the fairy’s presents hidden for the time being. With how the gathering had been acting, and how powerful the woman had shown herself to be, there was enough evidence to make Madison reasonably wary- or so he felt. Even if they decided to properly ally, there was still the chance they would attempt to use the capsules for more malicious purposes. So he simply decided to keep his lips sealed, absentmindedly adjusting his packs as he stood.

Soon enough, Madison seemed to realize something, and smiled brightly even if the other’s eyes were not on him. “I’m Madison, by the way; it’s nice to meet you.” Curious as to what had drawn the man’s attention, he peered over his shoulder, looking at the contents of the bag from where he was. A question had begun to form itself on his lips, although it was soon and suddenly replaced upon catching sight of a dog trotting up.

The question itself was delayed again as the vampire cooed at the canine, bending a little in order to pet its head.

Once he had remembered what he had been about to say, Madison raised his head, although he kept his eyes locked on the little beast for the time being. “Is she yours? She’s beautiful!” Although he typically disliked assumptions, the other had been rifling through a bag stuffed to the brim with dog treats and other miscellaneous objects, so there was at least some evidence to do so.

By the point that both Adira and Rasteva had spoken, he had lowered himself to the ground already, tucking his duffel bag beneath him so as to avoid getting himself wet. He appeared completely and utterly distracted by this point, so his sudden raising of voice seemed to only spring from nowhere at first.

“I have to agree with Kora on this, actually. After all, you two- such a cute little puppy- you two seem to be assuming that our host didn’t add in other challenges for us to deal with. This...being has been acting extremely erratically which leads me to believe that there may be some things that we can’t expect outside- I’m sure you all remember the sudden lava, after all. We have enough rations to feed all of us, I’m sure, and the gate can be barricaded…” He paused once again, moving to actually look back at the others.

“I would say that we should cast a vote. From what we’ve heard, we’re all a team, and if one of us ends up wounded, we’ll all end up punished one way or another. Shall we?”

After all, he was no leader. Calling a vote and conducting himself as if he was was only stir more tension, or so Madison believed.

It was with a sort of morbid fascination that the hybrid watched Khojin’s...tongue? loll from the massacred flesh, waving about in the open air for a long, uncomfortable moments. It was like watching a car crash- it wasn’t really the most pleasant thing to watch, but you just couldn’t tear your eyes away. It was only until the muscle was pulled back into the “Za Ri’s” mouth that Stride blinked, continuing to squint at the opening as if expecting it to suddenly start expelling beetles.

“That’s fucked up,” she muttered decisively, giving a short shake of her head. “Ya know, where I come from, ya don’t usually tear open someone’s face when you’re screwin’ ‘em. Least, we have a rule ‘bout that; ‘don’t stick your dick in crazy’.” Stride paused, giving Khojin another once-over. “Or, ya know. ‘Don’t let batshit insane stick its dick in ya.’.” The true rule of thumb, really, no matter the race or origin.

Adira’s words caused her attention to be drawn away from the weird horror-story shit she had just witnessed, and it was with a sense of disbelief that Stride listened to the dragon-rider boss everyone around. Her disbelief was only increased as the weird suit of armor chimed in, and, eventually, Stride began to chuckle just a bit louder than before.

“Look,” she said dryly. “I don’t care if you’re the princess where you’re from or whatever, but I can’t say I really wanna go jump off a cliff cause some magical armor and some kid told me there was a buncha pillows at the bottom of it. Hell, I could just be trippin’ by this point cause some asshole decided it’d be fun to slip some drugs in my drink, but I’m still not gonna just fuck off into the wilds like this.” Idly, Stride brought her gaze about in a circle, taking in the surrounding party.

“Just cause ya think the voice cut pieces from our worlds doesn’t mean everythin’s baby-proofed. For all we know, someone came from Monty Python, and there’s a buncha killer rabbits everywhere. There were fuckin’ lava spiders out there, ya know- and whose to say the voice might end up lettin’ one of us die off to make things interestin’?” Popping a stiffened joint in her neck, Stride let out a small sigh before continuing on.

“I’m votin’ that we just don’t follow the lead of the underdressed fifteen year old and Iron Man. Not sayin’ we hide in here forever, but we should at least find a place where we know there’s no poison dolphins or anythin’ like that.”

Absentmindedly, Stride took notice of the weird little glowing guy who had joined DoppleKora, but her attention did not focus for long on them. There were more important issues at hand, after all.

Khojin gave a very exaggerated look around the arena. "No poison dolphin's here," she commented, letting her duffle bag fall to the ground.

There was a point to what she said, of course; thus far none of the dangers claimed to be present in this world had appeared in the arena. Even the lava sharks had stopped at the gate, with one only passing the iron barrier when it was yanked in by a homicidal man encased in magic metal. This also seemed to be the only known location people had arrived at; wouldn't it make sense for the area to be warded against outside dangers? She said as much to the others.

"I mean, yeah, I could be wrong, but judging by our current track record this is our best bet," she waved up at the iron wires strung over the arena's mouth. "That's a good defense against anything from the air, an' the only t'restrial entrance is the gate, which we could probably close if needed. Or, failing that, drop Big Man Metal in the center of it. He seems reasonably impervious. Did you get smaller?"

She didn't notice before, but the suit of armor seemed to have shrunk several feet. Unfortunate. Still, her point remained. Oh, she almost forgot.

"Hey, jus' by the by, if we're s'pose to be a team wouldn't it be better to separate into groups?" she asked, lacing her fingers behind her head. "I mean, we'd be slower and attract more attention if we all jus' followed each other. Like, I dunno bout you guys but in my world travel in the Wastelands mandated groups no larger than four or five, unless you were lookin' to raid one of the Gaian settlements."

"Oh. And, uh, I'm Khojin. Not sure if we did introductions."

Azai had been enjoying a night's rest in his web just moments before and now he was falling... and falling... and falling. He wasn't a fly! He didn't have wings! How the hell did that ominous voice think that it was a great idea to have him spiraling down in the darkness like this? He had tried to use his webs to cling to something but this inky blackness had no ledge, branch, or ceiling. It was just emptiness. He did have a strange bag that appeared beside him but that wasn't helping him right now. He almost wished he was back in the mansion he despised. At least things there made sense! Why was it that he was the one that always got snatched away from his home and brought somewhere else? This was the second time, damn it! And this time, he hadn't even done anything to warrant his capture!

Suddenly, the shadow seemed to break open and spit the spider out and he continued to drop. The ground and people were fast approaching. "Ah!" he cried out a bit undignified as he landed on one of the creatures below. Both he and the stranger hit the ground hard though Azai had to admit, he was lucky this guy cushioned his fall. He winced and started to try and get to his feet but the damn bag dropped on his back then and he winced as he hit the man beneath him again. He groaned and shook his head, his dark strands falling against his pale skin. He looked up, his deep amethyst gaze catching a glimpse of the dog in front of him. He had never seen a creature like him before. His eyes widened as he got on his hands and knees, careful to actually use the ground as leverage instead of the man. He pulled himself off the stranger and dusted himself off, his gaze never leaving the strange four-legged beasty. He wondered how the creature's innards tasted like.

The black widow then realized there were others in the strange place he found himself. He tensed and crouched low. He gave a hiss and bared his fangs. He really didn't like meeting strangers as of late. The voice said he was in a different world, but was it really a different world or was the master of the house toying with him? Punishing him for biting that patron? He wasn't supposed to bite or harm the others after all but it really wasn't his fault the man kept poking his face. The guy was asking to be bitten. He didn't recognize anyone or anything here. And being out in the open like this put him at a disadvantage. His only true weapons in this situation were his fangs and claws but he couldn't take on all of these strangers. Some of them looked like their skin wouldn't be easily penetrated.

Khojin gazed up at the sky for a moment, considering. If she were alone, then sure, she'd go out no problem, probably get 20 malms by the end of the night. But with a group of... how many people were there? Here, Adira, Rasteva, the four or five from the same world, Stride, Lightning Hei-Senn, armor dude 2, white hair boy, girl with worse black clothing than her, Shao in the dress, a dog, and the new guy who apparently fell on... Who was that? Regardless, their number was easily around a dozen, far more than she felt comfortable travelling with.

She clicked her tongue and dropped her arms, swinging them a bit at her sides. "Fine. But I still think we should split into smaller groups. If Rend has somethin' he wants us to do, I'm sure he can organize it in stages. Besides, three of the others already bolted, so..." She flicked her finger to Stride, Rasteva, and Adira. "I call these three. If we do go with that idea."

She picked her bag back up and slung it over her shoulder. No use leaving it in the dust. She lifted her leg to begin walking before another thought struck her.

"Hey," she began, resettling her foot. "If we are s'pose to work with each other, shouldn't we know what everyone brings to the team?"
