Jozan is close to being power mad. He strives to rise in rank and reputation, and heās willing to manipulate his own friends in order to do that.
He wonāt hesitate to prove his authority or his power, and has often abused his position to make others to the dirtier work for him.

Born in the middle classed people, Jozan joined the Temple to escape the fate of becoming a paper maker, although the profession would promise him much coins, he didnāt wish to be stuck doing the same tedious things day out and in.
He had heard of the Battle-Clerics, and went to become trained in their ways.
He quickly discovered what a luxurious life he could live if he was promoted higher than the mere Clerics, and that made him highly competitive. He lost his friends as he would constantly use them for his own gains.
Jozan was, eventually, approached by Sir Daniel Juurgen who was a member of the Saint Hectar Order. Though Jozan was hesitant at first to join the order, he joined the moment he was told that other higher ranked Temple agents were members of the Order as well.
Jozan became much busier now that he worked for both the order and the Temple. He often struggled understanding why wizards were allowed to be a part of the Order, though after a throughout scolding by his superiors he stopped.
He met Terrynās father, Richard, and the two became friends (not close as Richard was no fool to Jozanās ambitions and stayed clean of any āfavorsā). Despite Jozanās nature, they managed to forged a mutal friendship through their common interests in ridding the world from evil, though they became separated as Jozan was finally promoted and moved from one city to another.
Years passed, Jozanās reputation rose within the Temple, he was one of the first men to stand up against the dragon that threatened the Empire, but he returned home with a broken army, and a stained reputation. When Terryn returned with the head of the dragon, Jozan was, firstly jealous of his achievement, then hatred filled his feelings when he learned that the man was related to wizards, though when he learned that Terryn was the son of Richard he reconsidered it all, deciding to endure such ālesser nobleā as he admitted that heroes could arise from the most odd places.
Terryn and Jozanās paths crossed again when they wee both hunting down a rouge wizard and heretic. The man had been trying to escape to The Free Worker Union.
The two were ambushed by the hereticās henchmen, and though they survived, Jozan was severely wounded and couldnāt continue, he urged Terryn to catch the man and bring him to justice for what he had done.
Fearing that if Terryn told Jozanās superiors what had really happened, heād have his reputation shaken for a second time. So, he struck a deal that Terryn would hold his mouth shut and in return Jozan would own him a large favour.
It turned out to work, and when Jozan wrote the report, he switched roles and made up his own heroic battle against the heretic wizard. This gave him yet another promotion and he became a Battle-Cleric Captain, gaining more power and a higher status, yet the knowledge that heās in favour t Terryn is a dark thought, one he doesnāt think of often.
