The Avatar of Fire
Despite his appearance, Kazu is actually a kind person, with a big heart. He dislikes causing pain, but will do so if necessary. He holds his friends and family very high, and can't stand to seem them hurting or down, and will give anything to help them or cheer them up. He isn't a huge talker, but is very wise, and a good person to turn to for advice, or just someone to listen while you vent. He has a way of bolstering confidence in his comrades, and others around him.
He isn't without his flaws though. Underneath his stoic exterior, Kazu has an internal anger that builds unknowingly. Kazu fights hard to control it, but a their are times that it comes ripping out of him, and he enters a blind rage.

His sword
Kazu was born Prince of the Fire Nation. He grew up studying under the best scholars, and learning fire bending from true masters of the art. As he grew older, and knowledge of the war came to his mind, Kazu couldn't help but feel remorse. He disagreed with his father's methods, and thought the war a horrible crime. He could not speak his opinion though as it would be seen as treason, and he would be banished from the palace. Kazu's mother was the head priestess of the Fire Temple, and raised Kazu, despite her husbands discouragement, that life was sacred, and the world needed to be in balance, all things living and coexisting together. She refused to let her son, the heir to the Fire Lord throne to grow up and become what his father had become. Kazu swore to follow in the footsteps of his great-grandfather Fire Lord Zuko.
