Seamus Callahan

The Rude Reporter

0 · 177 views · located in Earth 2011

a character in “The Ruins of Terran”, as played by Jane Storm

First Name: Seamus
Last Name: Callahan
Age: 34
Gender: M
Peoples: Reporter
Weaponry: Short knife

Myth: Samyaza, the leader of the Watchers – angels that came down to Earth to seduce the daughters of men as stated in the Book of Enoch. They took wives and had children- the ancient giants. Their children consumed all the food on Earth and even people when there was nothing else to feed upon, thus making God angry and sending the Watchers into the place later called Hell. Once Changed, Seamus will gain great leadership skills.

Appearance: Image
Seamus has the typical red hair of an Irishman and enigmatic green eyes. He has an interesting constitution with broad shoulders, almost skinny arms and a beer belly, not being overly muscular or fit. Has athletic legs mainly because he used to run before picking up drinking habits. Has five scars on the left arm and one on the neck, natural consequences of the street fights he’s been involved on (some on duty, hassling the wrong celebrities or politicians, some after a night in the bar)

Personality: Callahan is the embodiment of rudeness and will always talk back when spoken to with sarcasm or using dirty words. He’s short tempered and not a fan of showing his emotions other than anger. Has a soft spot for women and alcohol and loves his fights. He judges others as often as possible and won’t trust anyone no matter the circumstances. (It helps if you offer him a drink, though) His only redeeming trait is his passion for the job and although he uses the basic vocabulary of a redneck in conversation, he has good writing skills.

A laptop, the short knife, a video camera, a palm notebook, tobacco and snuff, metal whisky bottle

Back story: Born and raised in Cork, the “County of Rebels”, his father a construction site worker, his mother a housekeeper, young Seamus was not very fond of school and had to help his father at the site from an early age to increase the family’s income. There he learned how to fight, later on turning into a juvenile delinquent, commiting all sorts of felonies, until imprisonment at the age of 20 for theft.

Two year later he was out again and without bothering to visit his parents, he started drinking, living from one measly job to another. It was then when he met Alice, “the brown eyed girl” how he called her and who had a major influence in his life. They fell in love, got married and she struggled with devotion to put him on the straight path. He gave up drinking and women and started to work again at a nearby store.Working as a reporter Alice asked her husband to help her in the field, gathering info from the streets. She was the one who taught him how to read and write properly and after a couple of years, Seamus started writing articles on his own. He became one of the best reporters in the city and his life reached its peak.

After four years since he met Alice, Seamus was a an accomplished man, but this peaceful life wasn’t suited for him. He started drinking again and seeing other women which made Alice leave him eventually. He was down in the gutter once again when his long term editor and friend offered him a second chance: reporting for the biggest event in the century, the opening of the Ruins.

Extra: He will pester Demetrius often for the not so occasional drink >:]
