A dark blue color, Nereus's hair has quite the length, reaching to at least his waist when left down. He typically keeps it up in some sort of ponytail when Lysias doesn't come up with something to do with it instead, letting it rest on a high spot on his head, and leaving sections of it out to frame and fall over his face. It's rather soft to the touch...when he takes care of it, anyway.

Attire
While varying with the era and locations he finds himself in, Nereus does hold to a rather traditionally styled set of clothing that he made himself. Whether a memory of the past or simply what is most comfortable to him, he keeps the outfit with him wherever he goes, occasionally taking to wearing it. The outfit itself consists of loose, blue shirt of sorts, the bottom covering past his hips, with sleeves that barely cover his shoulders, and a neckline that dips into his chest. A white scarf or sash is tied around his waist, the fabric embroidered with crescent moon shapes around the end sections. Along with that, he wears simple brown pants, those cutting off above his ankles, more on the loose side. The outfit is completed with a simple necklace, though by the overly worn look of it all, it's likely that this one hasn't been remade, only repaired. It holds a small, rectangular pendant.

Notable Scars
A wide variety. Markings of a likely surprising number of fights, and more likely leaning towards torture, he seems to have a hard time fully seeing and taking those in, even with the passage of time. The worst of them seem to lay on his back, a mess of long, jagged scars that appear to have originated from a blade, or some sort of whip. Friction scarring over his wrists and ankles. In both palms of his hands, and through the back appear to likely have come from some sort of blade running them through. A thin scar under his right eye. Several scattered over his front and back, resulting from some sort of branding. A large variety of others, and with his immortality, more will likely follow.

Strengths

Immortality – As herald of Xerneas, Nereus cannot die by most means, natural or unnatural. He would be long gone if not.
Adaptive – After living as long as he has, adaptivity is something he's had to learn. Otherwise, he would have lost his mind.
Agility – Quick on his feet, speed is his strength in battle, making it hard for opponents to keep up with him and land their own attacks.

Weaknesses

Capacity – For how much he can take in a fight. Speed may be his ally, but his body's endurance to attacks connecting is much lower for it. Get several in and he'll be down and vulnerable without much question.
Left Eye – In an exchange with the forest deity Celebi, Nereus lost the sight belonging to his left eye. While he has mostly adjusted to its absence in presence, he still occasionally makes mistakes with depth perception and the like.

Fears

Losing Lysias – While the other man is immortal, and as such the likelihood of him ever dying or anything of that sort is highly unlikely, Nereus struggles to let go of the lingering fear. Lysias has become his whole world after the thousands of years he's been with him, and it would destroy him if anything were to happen.
