βApacheβ¦tomcat? Humph! Whatβsβ¦Apache Tomcat?β Talon quickly typed in another blatant response, yet another quite dead Chatbot staring back at her with disdainful narrowed silver eyes. Her own dark amber eyes burned, tired eyelids gradually wilting shut. Dilated pupils reflected the blindingly bright glare of a slatternly achromatic PC screen hosting quirky Clever bot. Two simple words remain of their previous idiosyncratic parry: Apache Tomcat,β after which the vexatious error: βSorry! I am too busy to respond right now! Do try again later,β flashed across in bold red letters. Oh, great, error messages...[/i]
This is Talon Day. Her existence, her very name means nothing to you, the newest member of an obscure community simply known to the outside as "The Screaming Man Complex." With unshakable reinforced concrete walls twenty feet tall and ten feet deep, the only way in being a set of steel double doors that opens only when a lever from the inside is pulled...this seems to you like a peaceful community where nothing unwanted can come in, or out. But is that really a good thing? Talon Day's house is a house exactly like the other cookie cutter houses lining a perfect street. The house, a white two story rambler with exactly two square windows in the front, three steps leading up to the front door.
Nothing ever occurs here. No car accidents, no petty acts of thievery. Did I say nothing occurs here? Well, I meant...occurred. You see, the complex is about to open its doors to welcome a set of free spirited adolescents. In about three hours, the doors will swing open. And with the arrival of these new residents, the "Screaming Man Complex"... will live up to its name.

The Story So Far... Write a Post » as written by 2 authors
This, was the Screaming Man Complex, a perfect, uniform, crime free community where nothing ever went wrong. And it was absolutely boring.
Nothing ever went wrong here. No one was ever killed, no one ever got drunk, no one was ever beaten or robbed or hit by a car. nothing interesting ever happened in this little community because no one ever did anything other than go to work or school, and go home. Everyone followed along like the robots they were, smiling and waving like trained monkeys. He hated it here.
Oh yes. Oh yes. Everything will be fine if you just put up with it. Please do that. Please do that. Please keep deceiving yourself.
Fly away. Fly away. I will send some signs to you this time. If you keep acting so tough, you'll tire yourself out, you know?
Talon's tiny room was unlike any other tiny room within the consummate bleached propaganda farm, for all four walls were painted black, the siding had become victim to multiple coats of a metallic silver sheen.
The square windows, every window in the house, was draped over with heavy black velvet curtains that she practically stapled there, all but the set veiling her bedroom windowpanes. Her window was swung open, her slender ivory legs dangling over its edge. Her own ear buds shoved into her ears, blasted Yuzuki Yukari's newest cover, "Hurting for a Very Hurtful Pain." Today, as she witnessed a boy casually strolling down the street, after picking up a thin but heavy stone she'd found laying in the side of the main road, Talon decided that something was going to happen.
She was going to start a fight. With all her strength, Talon Day threw the stone at the boy.
He stared up at the girl before him and knew full well who she was, though he had never met her in person. Talon Day, the girl that refused to fit in. Her dress was out of uniform, her colors were any that were against the norm. And she didn't mind breaking a few rules. With a smirk, he grabbed the stone, shoving it in his pocket as he turned away from the girl. He'd have his fun later, when he could play around with his computer without fear of prying eyes.
"You aren't like the normal zealots in this shithole. you don't act like you're a trained monkey." He looked her in the eyes, judging her reaction to his words.

Talon tossed the stone, watching it skid across the pavement and hit a nearby trash can. That...would raise a question. If the chemicals burned her flesh, then why weren't there marks to show for it, or even scarring? Her figure was clear of such things.
