Its amazing how quickly the weather can turn on you when your out at sea. Just a few short hours ago, the sun was beating down, and the light was glistening off the great blue expanse of ocean all around. And yet now the sun has set, a dark shadow has crept across the wooden deck and the water moves more violently than before. The wind has grown stronger and an unearthing feeling has settled upon the ship. As the ship rocks slowly amongst the waves, the eerie silence is broken only by the rising howling of the wind. Its only been a few days since you left port, but already faith is already fading amongst the crew. Rylan stepped out of his cabin, and stared off into the distance...

"You there..." He spoke to a young deckhand, who was trying to make himself look busy. "Go fetch that navigator for me... Sincaid? I think that was it..."

Yessiree! A perfect day for a bit of boat rising. With the wind slashing across the face and the tiny drops of salty sea water splashing across the leathery pants. The skies were dark-most likely going to cast upon them light-but not from the heavens more like the hell spawns trapped in heaven came raining down. Hah!

Jesper stood right dead center in the middle of the ship, with his hands on his hips and a silly grin upon his face. He would not allow this storm to get the best of him-not today at the least. His boots slid across the deck right through puddles and everything but he would not mind. With his posture still intact it was almost comedic.

From within his soggy blouse came a small squeak. A furry head popped out with a shiver. Jesper laughed as if it was funny how they were getting tossed around by the terrible weather. “Aye! Prince Scratch! We might just end up dying out at sea!” he pronounced through the storm. The animal was not pleased with this as it agitatedly started bouncing in his clothes.

Remember the time when we first met?” he reminisced; the monkey growled. “It was like love at first sight,” the monkey held his own ears, but this did not stop the young man as he continued to babble. It was about the fifth ‘Remember’ when the mammal had enough of his brother’s nonsense.

Remember-OWWW!” The male slipped with a monkey hanging off of his jugglar with its hands stretching it with its monstrous strength. “OKAY!” he choked through the grip.

I’ll go help! Just calm yourself Scratch,” the monkey gave him a good smack across the head as he stood back up, rubbing his sore back . The rain did a number on his hair, his natural frizzy style had turned for the worst in the cold wet drippings of the rain, flat, completely clean and shiny. He sighed a bit as he headed up towards the captain.

" Oh Captain my captain!" he sang through a bit of rumbling from the storm, "need a hand?"

Gianna opened her eyes and realized, with a groan, that she was still alone.
"Aye! You realize I'm a lady, correct? I can't stay in 'ere my whole life or you just may lose a pretty woman!" She cried, earning a groan and an eye-roll from the unfortunate pirate who was stuck watching her.
She leaned her head back against her arms--which were held above her head--and started to hum a song that she had learned from the bandits.
"SHUTUP ALREADY" shouted her guard.
Gia smirked and sat up, looking up at him.
"What would Redcap say to ye' if he heard how you're talking to me? Sure, I'm a prisoner but your captain values me. Who else has an attitude like me?!"
She sat back and closed her eyes, the salty air filling her lungs. Her arms ached from hanging above her head, and her neck was full of knots. Her hair was loosely tied up, many stray hairs falling in front of her face. Her face was dirty and she was bruised on her eye, as well as her arms and legs. She was wearing something like this:

Richard sat at his desk with charts and journals strewn before him. He'd taken measurements earlier, before the storm set upon them. Now he'd have to remeasure if he was to chart their course properly. With the clouds out he wouldn't be able to determine the ship's position by star, but it hadn't been too long, the wind and a compass would give him enough for a guess.

Frustrated, he moved to the window, shooed away a spider and checked the instruments he had hung there. Telling when a storm was coming had been easy, but figuring out how long it would last was not. Sucking his teeth, he timed and dated the readings in his journal.

There was a knock at the door.

“Mr. Sincaid?” The deckhand called.

Richard's expression softened, an easy smile crossed his face, and his posture dropped as he answered it.

“What can I do for you?” His voice was low, but sweet with a cadence unbalanced just enough to be disorienting.

“Cap'n wants ta see ya.”

“Oh? Alright then. Thank you.”

After grabbing a few things from his desk, Richard headed top side, swaying with the ship's motion as walked. He could already guess at what Redcap wanted from him. He checked his compass, the wind's direction, and with a small anemometer, the wind's speed. Some quick mental calculation would let him give the captain some rough estimates.

He walked up next to Jesper, his coat whipping around him in the wind.

“Good evening, Captain! Fine night, ay?”

Ryland nodded slowly and turned his gaze towards Jesper…

“Can you steer a ship m’ boy? Why don’t you go take the wheel for a bit? Lad up there must be getting a little nervous…”

His gaze turned once again to the horizon. He stared off in silence, until he heard Sincaid approach.

"This storm... How long do you reckon its gonna hold out? The ships fast, but she wasn't built to withstand much worse than this..."

This was true. 'The reaper' had been bought out of availability rather than quality. She was small and fast, great for getting as far from Darranport as possible after just a few days travel. But she was small, and not really built to withstand everything the open seas could throw at you. He doubted he'd be keeping her for long. Just until they happened upon an alternative...

Placing his arms behind the back of his head, the boy stretched with a yawn walking with a bounce with each step over towards the deckhand just as the walking map crossed lucky charms man walked up behind him.The guy at the wheel was clearly nervous forehead splashed with rain, his eyes glazy but desperately shone out to assume sharpness.Taking one side of the wheel he exaggerated his hip motions and bumped the guy away causing him to stumble at the sudden motion of getting kicked off the wheel.

"Thanks mate I'll take it from here." The sailor went as one could say 'sailing'off. Although Jesper had said that he would take it from here, with both hands on the steering wheel he thought to himself 'it can't be that hard to steer a ship'. He steadied the wheel to keep it from spinning in all sorts of monstrous directions.

It was not hard to see why the mate had been so nervous about sailing. The waves grew larger and larger and one would think it was a whale trying to swallow the ship, especially a ship of this size. The wind was no better forcing the hands to burn as it attempted to push the steering wheel into oblivion.

"Catch a hussy and call her a man! I'm a natural at this Scratch. I knew those long days chatting up the ship handlers came in handy. Aaah-I remember-" the monkey raised it's tiny fuzzy arm out proceeding to slap the boy forced Jesper to shut his mouth with a childish grin. "Ye're highness I'll pay more attention now," he chuckled looking straight. There were many times where the young lad thought that he was a goner and this was probably one of those times,he was so used to it by now that it was like feeding Scratch bananas. Sure his heart beat like a horse hooves clattering against the cobblestone but his mind was at ease swallowing what would be a memory once they got past the storm.

"I should steer the ship instead of manning the guns! Haha,"he laughed to himself just as a mighty wave landed on the ship. "Blimey!" The boy lost his grip for a second. No man overboard yet at least.

Gia closed her eyes and swallowed her fear. The ship was jolting crazily, and she was unable to steady herself. Her head was being jerked back and forth and her body was in all sorts of awkward positions.

"Aye bootlicker! Get the capt'n. I'd like to... speak with him about my predicament"

She shouted. The pirate sighed and looked down at her. While walking away, he called;

"You're a hag, Gia."

She smirked up at him, squinting through the light from above. The hellhole she was stuck in was dark and dingy. There was an ample amount of room for 6 prisoners, though she was the only alive guest in the area. Gia assumed she had earned herself a one-way ticket to meet Davy Jones himself. She brought her knees up to her chest and rested her forehead on them.

Thinking back, Gia couldn't believe she had ever done what she had. She'd thrown away her opportunity at greatness, wealth, and treasure. Maybe if it weren't for circumstances, she could've run a ship with her sister. Before she realized it, tears were welling up in her eyes. She rubbed them away on her knees, and sniffed. What would captain do with her? She was fine with death, as she would get to see her sister again hopefully. She was filled with an anger that overwhelmed her. A cry of pure rage escaped her.

"LET ME OUT OF HERE OR JUST KILL ME ALREADY, WHAT'S KEEPING YE'!"

She sobbed into her knees, praying she would be let out.

Richard turned the question slowly in his mind. There were many variables to account for, some he could only speculate about.

"The fates are fickle," he said, delaying.

How fast are the clouds moving relative to the boat? Are they travelling parralel or on a seperate vector? Would the wind change?

"They offer many paths..."

Would it be better to ride the storm out or wait it out? Could they ride it?

"If we keep our current heading, the storm could last a couple hours or a day. We could lash the sails and wait it out, but that would set our schedule back. Or we adjust our heading slightly, and try to get around the storm."

Ryland nodded slowly. Part of him was keen to press onwards, straight into the storm... But no. His crew doubted that decision would sit well with the crew... And besides; Who would tell of his great voyage, if it ended with them at the bottom of the ocean after a few days travel?

"Aye... Change her heading. I doubt this ship will last very long in a storm like that... Change her heading and..."

He paused for a moment, and moved in a little bit closer

"And keep an eye out, eh? See if you can't find us a bigger ship"

And with that he turned on his heel, kicking up small water droplets as he walked across the soaked deck...
______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

He entered cautiously into the gloom, squinting in the darkness. He looked down at that injured and starving creature that lay in the cell before him...

"And so begs the question of what to do with you?"

He pulled up an old wooden stool, and sat for a moment in thought...

Gia sniffed and looked up.

"I hope ya' realize that what I did was for me. I needed it, an adventure"

Her eyes red and itching, she held back tears. The end was nigh, for the look on Ryland's face was enough to tell her that she had a few hours to plead her case.

"Say something. Anything. I just need to hear a god forsaken voice"

It was dark and gloomy, but he could see that she was close to crying. The red tinge around her eyes, and the slight tremor in her voice... He raised his finger to his lips to silence her, and chewed on his lip as he contemplated...

"Let me tell you how things are. Ship needs a crew, and we're short on hands. Ship can't sail without a crew, and in a storm like this, we can't afford for able hands to be chained up like this..."

He leaned a little closer, and his face turned more serious... He wasn't going to repeat this.

"I don't hate you for what you did. You saw your shot at glory, and you went for it... But you failed... Make no mistake; you ever try something like that again, and you will never see dry land again... Sail with me, and we can seek glory. But cross me again, and you will find no forgiveness..."

With that, he leaned back on his stool, and grinned slightly, awaiting her response...

Outside, the winds grew stronger, and the ship rocked more violently. The waves reached higher, and the wind rushed through the sails, making a high pitch screaming noise as they did. Whilst on the surface above, the small vessel was battling against the high winds and strong pull of the sea, below the surface, it was apparent the ship was not the only thing the storm had disturbed...

"Pulling to half-sail! Keep this thing steady...Hell, even that's asking a lot, I know!"

-The usually demanding voice that belonged to Jericho Maddox was close to snuffed out completly as the storm carried it away with the tides. His placement didn't help in the matter either, as he hung from the running-rigging ropes. He was late to his post, and by the time he was furling the sails, the ship was in the thick of it. One of the more dangerous times for a rigger, climbing the ropes in a storm like this one, but if Jericho wasn't doing it, due to being shortstaffed, no one would.

-The job was about done, though admittedly it was sloppy work in the desperate times. (You could tell it was desperate, for Jericho was wearing a shirt; his leather vest.) Amidst the final tugs of of the sail, the ship took a sizeable shake, that tilted Jericho sideways from his rope. Clinging on for dear life against the razorous shower of rain and thunder, his knot came undone in a rope, and would have swung him directly into the unforgiving tides if he wasn't quick with his hands. For a moment, he dangled as the sky howled at him like a wolf, but he managed his way back towards the mast, where he held himself tight as he glared up at his nearly deadly handywork.

He'd gave to go back up and tighten the cords if they wanted full sail, but for now he aimed his sights on the men on the deck. From half up the mast, he began to shout...

"...Did any of you people see that!? We can't go any longer!"

"A plan? A new course? We got them, or not?"

Whilst the winds were strong, and the waves were heavy, the true threat had yet to reveal itself. The storm had pushed the ship off course, and into more unforgiving waters. Beneath the surface of the volatile waters, shapes began to dance and twirl and whirl in the chaos. The wind continued to howl, but brought with it hints of the demonic laughter coming from the deep. A single, pale, elegant hand reached slowly out of the water, and slammed its fierce, red claws into the side of the ship, pulling itself out from the waves. Behind it trailed a smooth and humanlike figure, followed by a mess of thick black scales that crafted themselves into some resulting tail shape. Its face was young and innocent, but its eyes glowed a wicked green in the inky darkness of the night, and its teeth filled grin excreted some horrific and terrifying implication of laughter. A second, a third and too many to count plunged out of the blue, and clung desperately to the side of the vessel. One by one they pulled themselves out of the water, and climbed upwards towards the deck at the promise of bloodshed and flesh....

Well spank his arse and call him a monkey! Things were crawling out of the sea. Sadly, they weren't mermaids of a beauty but they were certainly something that would make a man gasp in strain. With what was going on, it was hard to see who was the boss that commanded this chaos, the smart one would probably be under the sea somewhere, underneath the ship perhaps.

"Bloody Hell! Grab my gun your highness!"the boy commanded, the furry creature wasted no time in slinging the gun from the boy's belt up to his hand. Then with the flick of his wrist, the metal snapped out of it's safety as he continued to steer the ship with one hand. Wherever they were going the sea mother's were certainly not pleased with them. He pointed his weapon.

Bang!

One of the creatures melted to the ground in front of him. He snatched at the first sailor he saw after that, with no weapon but a small knife, "oy mate. Don't go jumping the boat yet. Take the wheel and the gun. I'm gonna go fetch some toys for us all!" the man looked extremely frightened, his eyes were popping out and sweat dribbled down like rain intermingling into a storm on his own body and soul. Jesper sighed pushing his own gun on to the male, to be expected, they were all taken by surprise.

"Defend yourself well. May the albatross bless you a little~"Jesper said in a sing song voice before racing across the ship. He reached for his second gun that would have been strapped to the back strap of his belt.

He pointed the yellow fruit at the fish face pressing it against the upper skin of it's green lips. "Ahaha! Just kidding ugly," he laughed realizing his own predicament as a second ugly fish joined his mate that had a fruit pointed to his face, it rubbed it's sharpening claws together and the enthusiastic man's hostage showed off it's brilliantly dazzling teeth with the hel0p from the strike of lightning through the sky.

" I was seriously kidding about kidding!" he pressed against the peel of the banana and shot the white flesh into it's mouth, granting him a choking surprise. Jesper flung the yellow skin at the other one which was getting ready to dive him from the flank-while listening to Scratch's protest(it was supposed to be the last of his banana supplies). With a few seconds to spare he flung himself through the cabin halls racing downwards into the armory, but not before hearing a very casual voice-in spite of the situation.

The young brunette peered into the prisoners haul seeing the captain and the prisoner, an ex-mate. In a running motion he pointed towards the armory, gesturing to the mammal and the monkey squeaked in response. Scurrying down his body into the chambers in a second.

"Sir Magicman if you have time to be chatting up a storm with our pretty prisoner I suggest maybe you want to continue your discussion with her while you battle off the guests that seem to want to have dinner with us," his wet foot wear went squished against the wooden floorboards as he entered with a smile for the man with side burns. Jesper gave a brief nod of acknowledgement to Gia.

Gianna was listening, her head down. She listened, the ship jerking her to the side.

"Aye. What's my duty, sir?"

"Sir Magicman-" She heard a crew member, Jesper begin. The squishing was enough for her to want to punch him in the face.

"Er-Jesper, is it? Shut up. If ye' were down 'ere ye'd want to have a discussion about this. We're on our way up. Get outta here. And next time, please say hello instead of actin' like I'm a dog."

Gia looked over at her captain and nodded slightly.

Ryland didn't need to be told twice... In fact, he was insulted that this riffraff had the guts to tell him once, but he hadn't time to worry about that now. He reached into his pocket, and pulled out an old rusted set of keys, and skid them across the floor so they stopped just within Gia's reach...

"Watch that cheek of yours, Jespy boy... Its not so small a crew that we couldn't afford a few losses..."

He stared for a few moments, anger indented deep into his face, before it fell into a wide grin, and he begin to laugh. He grabbed his cutlass out of his sheath and made for the deck...

___________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

The demon-like creatures continued to haul themselves out of the black ocean, snarling and screeching with hideous laughter as they went. One of the monstrosities was already tearing into the corpse of its fallen ally, and about half a dozen more dragged themselves around the deck, looking for their next victim...

Aye Aye Missy. No need to get all pox faced. Just trying to lighten the mood’ere,” he held up his hands in front of him in a sarcastic taunt. The reasons why he chose the ladies on the land rather than the sea, some of them can get so heated over the smallest of words, although the ladies in general seemed pretty fiery when it came to words-making him revise his thoughts- why did they always pick on every single little thing? “Although you’re the one who called yourself a dog,-not me,”he chuckled lightly.

Watch that cheek of yours, Jespy boy…It’s not so small a crew that we couldn’t afford a few losses.” The captain said seriously before beginning to laugh.

Of course,” he gave an exaggerated bow. His water filled hat fell right down with a splosh. “But I do hate assisting in sending those ‘I’m so sorry for your loss boohoo' letters,” he swiped his hat off of the ground and proceeded outside the door way allowing Ryland to pass the door first.

The younger male eyed the cutlass the man unsheathed and tweaked his voice slightly higher humorously, “ Aaaw! Sir but what shall I do with all these other weapons that I’ve brought before your feet,” he said it as a joking statement rather than a question. His hands swept to the side at the empty space; although the space wasn’t empty for long as the squeak of a certain ball of fur had returned.

From its tail it dragged three light weighted swords and from its arms it dragged a bag of flint locked pistols. The brunette took up the two pistols allowing the monkey to climb aboard his arm once more while breathing quite heavily. “Aaah! What a good monkey!” he briefly stroked the animal’s nose as it sighed planting it's body on top of his shoulder.

"Maybe this'll just blow over...Maybe they'll get bored and hop off...Maybe they love us..."

-Jericho mused to himself as he hung from the mast watching as the creatures began to swarm the deck below. It was as if he was watching a sickness spread across the ship. An infection that was holding up the ever important process of actually getting work done...

...Well, at the least, it offered a break from tying knots all the live-long day.

-Thankfully, it didn't seem the demons of the deep were too keen on looking up, when they could start setting sights on prey along the deck. With that in mind, Jericho decided to keep his vantage point, and put his climbing skills to work.

-Making way up the mast of the ship, he took a seat and started surveying the scene. Beleive it or not, even from this height, the problem hadn't bettered itself. It was still freezing cold, and the deck was covered in more beast than crew. Worst of all, they seemed to have done the impossible, and looked up, making a few decide Jericho looked mighty murderable.

"Gah...Where in the hell be the rest when ya' need'em? Gonna need more than a dagger and a grenado for this..."

Gia snorted at the keys tossed at her.

"Aye Capt'n? I realize yer' dense but don't ye' realize my hands are a bit useless above my head?"

She chuckled as he unlocked her hands, and she brought them down around her face, stretching them and popping her knuckles. Looking at her battered, calloused hands sent her into a memory. Her hands had looked like this after her sister died. She had spent hour after hour punching sacs of flour. Her hands had turned out bruised and bleeding, not even coming close to the pain she felt inside.

Gia smiled slyly at the men around her and procured a dagger from her corset.

"A lady always has her dagger, correct?"

She followed her captain toward the deck, and what she saw above was the reason for a slight gasp that escaped her lips. She looked down at the water that was pooling around her ankles--she convinced herself it was water and not..--and turned towards the nearest edge of the boat. The corners of her lips turned upwards.

"Seem to be in a bit o' trouble, are we?"

While Richard had been expecting some amount of trouble inherent to piracy, the normal things; fighting the navy, fighting other pirates, just fighting in general. Slimy fish people caught him by surprise.

He spun around in a panic, some of the crew were already trying to fight them off. Not being much of a brawler, he thought it best to get somewhere less terrifying. Quickly, he tried to get below deck only to be cut off by one of the beasts. He swung back, avoiding it's claws. His arm twisted and snapped back, dropping a small pouch into his hand from it's spot inside his sleeve. A flick of his finger caused his rings to spark and ignite the pouch in a bright flash, temporarily blinding the thing.

With what he thought was a fairly solid kick, he tried to knock the creature aside, but only barely managed to not get caught in its claws. He bounced back, and looked around again.

If he couldn't go down, then he'd have to go up. He danced through the fray, swinging up on to the ratlines and from there to the mast, where he plopped himself next to Jericho.

“Heya,” he panted. “Awful night, ay?”

-Tossed a grin Richard's way as the man pulled himself up to higher ground. Great minds think alike, it seemed. At this point, Jericho held a dagger in his hand, which proved difficult as his hands were slowly numbing from the unforgiving cold that the storm brought.

"You could say such...Having too many close shaves today..."

-Just as Jericho said such, his eyes snapped downward as one of the razor-toothed creatures was scaling the mast, its claws tearing into the sturdy wood. It still had that demonic smile spread across its face...one which Jericho was aiming to wipe of. As the beast came into reach, Jericho lifted his legs, coaxing it up just a foot further, before thrusting his legs downward, both of his boots stomping into the creatures face before it hurtled to the dolid deck below. It planted with its head smacking first, and didn't stir too much more afterwards.

"So...Sinclair. What're the odds you have a plan for tossin' the bastards overboard?"

"...Or, are we just waitin' for death or miracles?"

Ryland had expected trouble, but nothing quite like this. He stared deep into the demons unblinking eyes as they shone through the eerie darkness, and listened to the terrible grating of claw against wood, flesh and bone...
"Watch yourselves men!" he shouted, before clutching his cutlass in preparation of an attack. It took mere moments for one such devil to oblige, gripping hold of the side of the ship and launching itself towards the captain…

A turn and a duck, and the creature sailed right overhead. He smiled, but the victory was short lived, as the beast had already turned and was already scrambling back towards him. He jumped backwards, and swung his blade, opening the demons mouth just a little wider in the process. But through bloodied teeth it continued to grin, seemingly undeterred by the grisly wound that now sat upon its cheek. For a brief moment the two of them stood their, eyes staring straight into one another, before the fiend decided once more to make its assault. Ryland ducked, lifted his weapon and grimaced at the sick sound of flesh against steel.

He was just about to wipe his blade, when one of the creatures fell screaming on the deck beside him. He stared up, and through the rain he spotted two silhouettes aboard the mast.

“I hope ye ain’t planning to stay up there all bleedin night! Get your asses down ere, or once I’m done throwing these devils back into the sea, you’lst be joinin em!”

With that he grinned, and began chuckling away to himself. This is what he’d been missing. And Ryland Redcap wasn’t gonna end his voyage here!

Unfortunately, Mathilda didn't prepare for a day like this. Not mentally at least, but she was as prepared as she could be physically, which again, was not at all. Mathilda had no idea how to fight. She's gotten used to stormy days like this, but today was a big one. A real big one. And withing a second of waking up from her nap, she was knocked down by angry water rushing onto the boat. "Who's steerin' this ship?" she muttered to herself, wiping the water off her goggles and squeezing her hair. Dirty black water fell from her matted blonde locks, splashing her already soaked legs. Once she got back onto her two feet, she was wonderfully surprised by ugly mermaid like creatures, crawling towards her. She froze. What to do? A confusing situation for a girl who only knew how to fix, not break.

The captain caught her eye, a dancing body through the water and blood, and whatever other fluids happened to be flying through the air at the time. She scrambled over, sloppily falling on her stomach to dodge an attack by one of those monsters, and grabbed at his clothes as soon as she was close enough.

"Ay', Captain! I'm sure you know this, but I'm not the best at fightin', I retell, and," she paused her statement to scream while whacking one of the creatures with her toolbox, "And so I'm sorry, but ya probably not gonna see me throwin' blades and fury like you are. Promise to fix the whoooole ship after we're done though, 'kay?" She wasn't the most excited with this promise, she couldn't even imagine the damage this storm has given. Nor the time it would take. But it was a good opportunity to learn more, to gain more knowledge. She might even be an expert after this! Oh, now she was--on the ground. In the midst of her daydreaming, she was pushed onto the ground, barely fighting off the thing. It's claws started to dug into her arms, and, the master fighter that she is, flailed her legs in the air as an attempt to get it off.

"Now ya's didn't think ya'd get away with startin a brawl while I was below deck did 'ja." John said smoothly as he emerged half drunk from the cargo hold, brandishing his twin cutlasses. Three approached. He pointed both swords towards the deck until the monsters were within striking distance. the one on the left received a sword directly through what John had assumed to be an eye,
the one on the right, the same. And the one right in front of john, well, he took a stiff right hand in the jaw, which, didn't really seem to do much of anything. "Aye, fuckin eh." John muttered as he parry'd the third's first strike, quickly dodging to the left and cutting the creatures throat. " Murphy's Wharf there things are god damn ugly." he said as he turned his head towards the ship's wheel. "Jesus H! Mathilda!" He quickly made his way to her, cut the creature clean in two. Guts, blood, and whatever the hell else is in there coated her. He laid a sword next to her. "I suggest you learn how to use er there ms'."

It seemed their numbers were thinning. "One last push." he said quietly to himself, as he jumped back onto the deck, and ran into a fairly adept creature, thing must've been around 6'8", weighing almost 400 lbs. Damn sea, what else would it come up with. It swung, catching John in the side of his face, and opening it fairly severely. "You bastard." John swung for thr creatures head, but it was deflected to the right. John followed his blade, ducked the creatures second swing, and removed three of the claws of the things right hand, followed by a swift kick to the head. Whatever it was, it was a good fight. The creature swung again, this time John dodged, and went for the right leg of the bloody monster. A fair cut was made, and now, time to finish. Before John could even raise his sword, he caught another blow, to his chest. He managed to jump back enough that his heart wasn't going to get ripped out, but he still caught a good gash none the less. He laughed, feigned a swing towards the monsters abdomen, and put his sword right between the eyes. The thing stumbled back, and began to pull the sword out of its head. "Oh, fuck." John looked around, found a broken spindle, and hammered the blade right back into the creatures head, and just began pounding on it. The thing fell to the floor, as John continued his savage assault on the creatures head. He continued long after the thing was dead, beating it into nothing more than a pulp. He was seeing red. He and the rest of the crew were down to just a handful of monsters. He broke the spindle over one of the things face, and followed that up with a drop kick, ripped out its eyeballs, got up and kicked it off the bow of the ship. "THIS IS MY FUCKING DOMAIN!"

Ryland watched as the man burst up onto the deck and began slashing at the creatures left, right and centre. To be perfectly honest, he didn't remember ever recruiting this guy, but right now he was sure glad he did. As the sword clattered to the ground beside him, he nodded in agreement.
"E's right. I say start fighting, or there might not be an awful lot of ship lef' for you tah fix!"
Though even as he spoke, he became aware of the fact that the battle was beginning to turn in their favour. It wouldn't be long now till they'd finished cleaning up all the stragglers, and restored a sense of order to the vessel.
