Personality: Calamity is a thoroughly quiet and calm individual with a seemingly apathetic air. She never hints at any sort of emotion and says both kind and horrible things with the same straight face. It is possible that due to her upbringing, she has no idea what an ‘emotion’ really is. Extremely dedicated and determined, she refuses to abandon a task once she has her eyes set on it. She always moves with a sort of abnormal grace and gives the illusion of a refined and lady-like demeanor.
However, that’s only her personality off the battlefield. When she comes upon an enemy, Calamity becomes a killing machine with no regard whatsoever to the beauty of life. She’ll brutally slay down anyone in her way, even innocent bystanders and witnesses. This is one of the fatal downsides of her determination, as she’ll allow no one to block her path.
Because of her emotionlessness and strange behavior on the battlefield, many people refuse to approach her or get close to her in fear that they might be the next victim. And they aren’t weary simply from pure speculation. Calamity has been known to kill even family and close friends if she believes it will serve to advance her further.
Background: In a distant day and age, the Abaddon Clan were regarded as one of the greatest Clans among the fallen angel race. While their counterparts in Heaven despised their existence, those below lived in fear of the very name. The Abaddon Clan had no morals, no Code of Honor. It was either kill or be killed. Their pride made it impossible for them to surrender, and they often fought to the death simply for the entertainment factor.
While the Abaddon Clan had no rules, it did have a ruler and a system. However, in reflection of the savagery of the Clan, the road to becoming the leader of the Clan was a hard one. Whenever the current ruler deemed it necessary to find a heir, a search was organized across the entire clan to find the young angel most suitable. ‘Suitable’ meant that they had to kill without hesitation. While many of the young ones balked at the suggestion, there was one girl who didn’t even blink twice at shedding blood. That girl was Calamity Lisette Abaddon, known at that time of her life as simply Lisette. The current head of the clan took her under his wing and gave her the Clan name. He also gave her a new given name: ‘Calamity’.
For the longest time, Calamity trained to become the next heir to the Abaddon Clan and its new ruler. When the previous ruler finally died in battle, she took over. However, Calamity felt severely uncomfortable in her position as leader and was never comfortable on the throne. Declaring that she was inept though would have resulted in her own death as her clan mates would deem her weak and indecisive. She longed for some sort of freedom, and decided that the only way to escape her chains was to fake her own death.
That was exactly what Calamity ended up doing. Less than ten years after she had ascended the throne, she quietly faked her death by drowning and abandoned the life that she knew. Now, she’s simply a wanderer with unknown motives...
