w e i g h t x // x120 lbs
h a i r x // xIvy has dark raven hair. On the rare occasion tints of crimson can be seen in the right light. Her hair is thick and corse, coming down past her shoulders. It has just enough body to give it a slight wave.
e y e s x // xHer eyes are a chestnut brown, soft, light and warm with a rich golden hue towards the center. Although they seem warm, they fill with pain and loneliness she feels on a constant basis.
o d d i t i e s x // xIvy has more than her fair share of scars from the facility. Some she deserved, and others were from the guard's own stupidity. They beat her whenever they accidentally touch her skin. Her most predominant scars are around her wrists from constant restraints, and around her neck from they use animal control poles to move her about. Then others are more hidden, like the slashes on her back that she received from the time she killed a guard.
a p p e a r a n c e x // xIvy is tall, lanky and incredibly skinny. She doesn't look emaciated by any means, but it is the simple stature of her person. But her muscle mass is not much. In a physical battle, she would lose easily if she went full attack. But luckily for her, most people don't attempt to come anywhere near her. Sometimes her appearance can fool most people. Her eyes are big, warm and friendly, with plush lips constantly turned to a slight smirk. But those are things out of her control. Those who really know her see the sadness, pain and isolation that she feels on a constant basis. She carries herself with her head held high, with a strength and confidence. But when no one is watching, the mask falls revealing the truth.

If it is an intentional decision, the life can be drained from another person within 5-10 seconds, unconsciousness capable within 3 seconds. But this is also capable unintentional through common physical contact. This takes longer. Taking a couple minutes to completely render someone dead, 30 seconds for unconsciousness.

This rejuvenates her, almost like a recharge when her stamina and energy is low. The use of this on people, works the same as her syphoning, and most commonly results in death. When done against other, unintentionally, within the group it temporarily weakens or drains their own abilities.

She refuses to let the people who do this to her see her cry. Her sense of self is all she has in a place like that. It's everything and the only thing they can't strip from her.

xxxxxxxxxxxxā¢ x strong x ā¢ x depressed x ā¢ x realist x ā¢ x guarded x ā¢
But being strong, doesnāt mean she doesnāt have her own personal struggles. As the years have carried on and her abilities develop, her depression has deepened. She doesnāt look at her abilities as a blessing but as a curseā¦. A disease she is forced to face alone, forever. No one understands the struggle or burden it is being unable to have physical contact with another person. Itās devastating. It makes you cold, callous and a shell of a person. Something so simple, a basic need, stripped from a person has extreme effects on a personās psyche. People need human contact. Ivy canāt remember what another personās skin feels like, the shape of their body or if her own touch is gentle or course. While everyone else dreams of freedom, Ivy dreams of contactā¦ Holding someoneās hand, cheeks pressed to each other or a kiss. Sensations sheāll never know.
Life is beyond Ivyās control at this point. It hasnāt been for a long time, but she hasnāt brought herself to believe that whole heartedly. Regardless of who is in control, there is no point in being optimistic or pessimistic in her opinion. Their lives are shit. Can it get worse? Of course. Can it get better? They can only hope. Sheād rather keep herself at a neutral middle ground and just accept what happens when it happens. Yes, sheās tried to escape because in that moment she saw an opening. She took what life gave her and ran with it. But she canāt let hope or fear control her. Being hopeful for freedom that may never come can destroy someone as quickly as believing that this is the end of everything. So, she decides to believe neither and focus only on the present. She finds itās the safest mindset.
Ivy doesnāt know human compassion. Of course, assuming that any of the others do is wrong as well. But hers is on a deeper level. Sheās been isolated as a freak, among freaks, feared to such a level that no one wants to go around her and justā¦ alone. Her strong nature has built walls to guard herself. Every day itās tempting to give in, crack under the pressure and let the pain consume her. But as a promise to herself not to break, she puts up barriers between herself and others. Being close to someone just means that her own fears could manifest themselves in the most terrifying ways. She could hurt someone close to her, or they could herā¦ What little bit of herself is left. She keeps everyone at bay to avoid destroying whatās left.

It's no secret among the group that Ivy is the most antisocial. She prefers to keep to herself because some backwards place in her mind it's safer for everyone else. But, with Hawke's abilities, he's slowly been able to get closer to her over the years. He's never infringed on her personal space or privacy, but has been able to understand her on a level beyond the rest of the group. She still holds her guards up, spending a lot of her time focusing her attention on things that make it easier for her to hide her thoughts. But with their lives wasting away, Hawke has been nothing but patient... All they have is time.

It's not often that Ivy takes part in the conversations of the group. Most of the time, she doesn't have anything to add, or would rather remain distant for the benefit of the others. Over the many years, she's come to notice strong similarities between herself and Novak. They both use creative outlets as a way to cope with the world they have been forced to live in. Unlike Ivy, they are more open meeting her 80/20. Ivy's began to feel the their hope fade. She knows when the time comes, she could count on them to try to make one final escape along with her.

When Hawke had the pleasure of connecting their minds, Ivy has come to realize Vlad has one hell of a mouth on him. He also doesn't particularly know when to close it. She believes there is a fine line between rebelliousness and stupidity, and he falls under the later. They all want freedom, but pissing off the guards for no reason at all is dumb and just puts a target on his back. That's not to say she doesn't act out, but not for shits and giggles. Every time he acts out, it ends badly, not for just him, but Hawke. He's selfish and needs to realize his actions effect his brother too.

Ivy feels sorry for Hanne. Unlike many of the others who see her as a subject of insanity, or complacency, Ivy doesn't feel that way. She thinks Hanne's demeanor is due to the breaking of her spirit. The facility can do that to people, and when their own will isn't strong enough they break easily. It could be a facade to get more freedom, but with that much freedom, she doesn't understand why Hanne hasn't escaped. Ivy pities her, hoping that someday Hanne will see the light. Hanne has also grown interested in Ivy's syphon touch due to its physical nature, unlike the others' mentally driven abilities.

Ivy doesn't talk often, but that doesn't mean she doesn't listen. She actually finds comfort in listening to Specter read to them, or explain complex topics to them. It fills the mundane silence, and she remembers all the lessons he shares. On occasion, he even shares poetry specifically because he knows how fond of it she is. His sunny optimism is somewhat toxic, making her even have hope on occasion. He finds silver linings in everything, which sometimes is exactly what they need in a place like this.
