ImagePersonality
Almost human. That would be the best definition of Ari. He's not a 'hero', nor is he a 'villain'. He's, if anything, an selfish person. He puts himself and the people he cares about above others. He won't, unless there's a reason to, save someone if it'll hurt him. He's not the sort of person to go into a fire to save someone if the chance of him dying is high. He will however, not hesitate to kill someone if it'll save one of his friends, regardless of the dangers it'll prove to him. While he may be a selfish person, he's also a loyal one. No means of torture, persuasion, or otherwise could convince him to willingly betray someone he cares about. The easiest way to break him would be to give him an ultimatum. If given a choice between saving one of two friends, while letting the other die, he'd most likely shut down.

Ari is a logical person, or so he'd say. He's the voice of reason. He prefers to look at the situation from a logical viewpoint. He's not the sort of person to charge into battle without a plan. He's the sort of person to come up with the plan in question. He does however, tend to let his heart lead what he wants to do. He'll use his mind to figure out the best way to get what his heart wants, if that makes any sense.

Ari values intelligence, knowledge, and the sort. He enjoys reading books, ranging over many genres and authors. If you were to find him at leisure, he'd probably be at a library. He reads at a faster pace than the average bear the average person and can finish most books with ease. His memory is also, as a result of his ability, near perfect. Due his ability having emerged after he turned 17 however, he wont be able to recite to you perfectly what happened before then. He does however, have the ability to recite to you anything and everything that happened after he turned 17. He could also tell you the ingredients and instructions for making a muffin, if you were to be interested. Being able to convince him to waste his time on either however, would be a supernatural ability of its own.

Ari isn't a simply cold-hearted person, as hard as that may be to believe. No, he's almost human. He cries, laughs, feels fear, and does what most people do. He's just better at keeping his emotions under check than others. If you were to, for example, kill a friend of his, he'd probably end up crying, then swearing to kill you. If you were to try to seduce him, he'd probably just ignore you due to his sexuality. If you were to give him flowers and confess to him however, he'd probably be flustered. It's very easy to get him to show emotions. All you have to do is know what buttons to push.

Ari is a sarcastic and snarky person, outwardly at least. He tends to be unintentionally blunt and a bit mean, but doesn't necessarily mean to be so. He speaks eloquently and with ease, although his tone is usually bored.

Ability
Shapeshifting

In layman's terms, his ability is shapeshifting. It is however, limited and is most likely not what you'd imagine. The closest match for it would be the ability of Prototype's Alex Mercer.

His ability allows him to convert energy into physical mass and vice versa. If he were to, for example, take in large amounts of CPE, he could theoretically change himself into a colossal creature. This would however, require large amounts of energy, both to keep the form and to make it initially. More energy stored in him however, does equal more weight. The easiest way for him to consume energy would be to quite literally, consume biological mass. The lower on the food-web he eats, the more energy he'll be given. He can however, convert heat, solar energy, and the such into CPE. To convert solar into CPE however, he'd need to make his body able to photosynthesize, to convert heat he'd need to do something similar, and so on.

A large limitation would be knowledge. If he were to, for example, not know how nerves, muscles, and the such work, he'd be unable to wield his ability. For him to be able to change his body and allow for flight, he'd have to know how to do so and the mechanics of flight themselves. The easiest way to do this would be to copy the genetic information of flight-able creatures.

ImageHistory

If you were to ask Aristotile how his past was, he'd say 'Sorry, no sob story here.' He is however, a pretty good liar, so that should be taken into account.

Aristotile was born to two Mexican parents, in a little town in Mexico. He had an elder sister, named Belle. Both his parents and his sister were atheists, cut off from the rest of his very religious family as a result. The family was however, pretty well off in terms of money. The Desanta family owned a large amount of land and a relatively well-known business.

Ari spent five years of his life in Mexico, then moved to the United States with his family due to business opportunities. He went to school there with slight difficulty, due to his having not known English before his arrival. He did however, pick up on it with ease. He was never a social butterfly, more of a wallflower, but he did have a few friends. He preferred spending time at the local library to speaking with people, so this may have played a large part in his social ineptness.

Ari, when he reached middle school, didn't do much to help his social ineptitude. In fact, he went even more into his shell. He answered needed questions, had an overall 99% average, and was a perfectly good student. Needless to say, this didn't do much for his social reputation. During his first year at middle school, he didn't do much to protect himself. He let kids run him over, and silently got angry. He went home and took out his anger passive-aggressively on his family and aggressively on objects. He didn't however, have the guts to do much to the people actually bullying him. He only got into one fight during his first year, but this was mostly due to his anger having built up beyond belief.

It was the end of the school year. People were excited to finally get into vacation. Nearly everybody was up and about, making plans, talking to friends, and doing what would generally be expected. Ari however, was just passing the time reading books in the library and staying out of peoples' ways. He wasn't the sort of person to confront anyone, nor did he want to speak to anyone, but he was just unlucky that day. A group of kids approached him, "Hey, what you reading, boy?" Dekker, the 'leader' of the group seemed to think saying 'boy' made him cool. He, the boy, wasn't necessarily strong, but he was big. The boy's two followers stood behind him, leering at Ari. Ari however, tried to simply ignore them. This wasn't due to him being a 'better person', but mostly due to fear. He was a coward, no way of denying that. This prompted anger from Dekker, him having seen it as an insult of sorts. "I asked you a question, answer."

"Shut up." Ari said this without knowing he would. It was something that he had been intending to say the whole year. He had been dreaming of saying it, but he had finally done it. It caused an elated feeling in him, a feeling of triumph. "What?" Dekker, shocked, stared at Ari with a confused look on his face. He hadn't been expecting retaliation. "I told you to shut up. S-h-u-t u-" Ari didn't get to finish his sentence, due to Dekker leaving the room. Perhaps Dekker feared retaliation or simply didn't know what to do. Either way, the point was that he had ran away, and that this could be seen as a way to admit defeat. Ari however, didn't care and was simply glad that he had managed to muster the courage to say what he had. " School, surprisingly enough, passed without much more interruption. Rumor had spread. People parted at his feet.

After school however, the real problem began. Ari noticed that he, amazingly enough, was being followed. He however, told himself that it was nothing. He wasn't after all, 'noticeable' enough to be followed. As such, he continued home, albeit at a quicker pace. Eventually however, when he entered an alleyway, in an attempt to throw his possible pursuers, he found himself at a dead end.

"You messed up my reputation." Dekker, now not followed by his two former 'followers', seemed angered and as if he had been... crying? It was strange, to say the least, but also very intimidating. Ari turned around, then moved backwards, towards the dead end. The rest of that day would be best left to the imagination. Suffice to say, however, that Dekker didn't ever dare touch Ari again. Yes, Ari didn't stop at a few punches. Dekker didn't even get one in. That is however, all that shall be said.

Something, after that, in Ari changed. He didn't become more cynical and pessimistic. He just showed that side of him more. He didn't let people push him, he fought back. He didn't however, simply fight in retaliation. No, he continued fighting after his enemy was on the ground. "An arm for an eye, teeth for a tooth," was the system he based himself upon.

Skip a few years later, to when Ari was 16, and you'd find that Ari no longer 'had a sister'. Belle had ran away, to escape becoming a pariah in the town. She had, or so people say, been seen with a silver lining around her eyes. People say that she had hurt somebody with her ability. Rumors spread, of course, and who would believe the testimony of a silver-eyed creature?

Ari saw the way the world worked, once again, that day. He saw how people treated those with silver-rimmed eyes, and decided that the world was a volatile place. He never however, attempted to contact his sister. He felt bitter, as if she had betrayed him by not telling him. Ari didn't think for a second that she had wanted to.

Soon however, he was faced with the same predicament. He turned 17 and, as luck would have it, he had silver-rimmed eyes.

He woke up without much difference. It was a boring day, to be blunt, with little action. It was a saturday. The birds were tweeting outside his window, and the alarm was turned off. He never set it on Saturdays. That would be annoying. Tedious, useless, ect ect. His main concern however, was getting himself ready for the day. He couldn't slack off. That would be disastrous for his routine, putting it off track.

As such, he walked calmly to the bathroom. He wasn't in any hurry. It was, after all, a Saturday. There was no point in rushing himself. He reached the bathroom in a few seconds. It was sterile inside, unnaturally so, but he didn't find this to be strange. Either way, he took a quick shower, then got ready to brush his teeth after getting dressed and putting on deodorant.

He grabbed his toothbrush and toothpaste, looked in the mirror, saw his silver-lined eyes, but just continued brushing his teeth. He didn't find his eyes strange. This was mostly due to him having just woken up and still being groggy. He, after putting away his toothbrush and toothpaste tube, got a glass of water to rinse his mouth out. Unluckily however, the situation hit him. Suffice to say, his glass of water hit the floor, making a very loud crashing noise. His next word was the culmination of years of human refinement, fanciness, and proper etiquette, "Shit."

Ari however, managed to stay relatively calm. Sure, he was scared and nervous, but he kept his cool. He, after getting out of the bathroom, locked the door of his room. He heard footsteps coming up the stairs, very loud footsteps, and thought that he had a bit of time before anyone managed to reach his room. He was on the top floor of his family's mansion, so it would take a bit of time for people to reach him. Either way, he had little time.

He moved to his drawers, pulled out his wallet, some jewels, a pocketknife, and some other essentials. He wouldn't be coming back. After doing this, he moved to grab a sports bag, then stuffed clothes into it. It wasn't too heavy, so he didn't mind carrying it. "Open the door!" Someone was at the door, probably a servant. "In a second." He managed to respond without his voice cracking too much. "Gotta clean up." Good. He made an excuse. The person at the door however, started banging harder. That probably wasn't good.

He tore out a piece of paper from a nearby notebook, then wrote it in quickly. 'Silver-eye, don't look for me.' Ari gulped, then went to the window, and opened it. He breathed in and out for a few seconds, then jumped out as the door to his room was opened. He probably should have accounted for the fact that he was going to jump out of a high-up window. Needless to say, he broke his legs. They did however, through what he assumed to be a part of his 'ability', heal relatively quickly. The pain however, had caused white spots to appear in his vision. He couldn't however, stop. He wasn't 'human' anymore, according to laws. There was no telling what people would do to him.

He ran. Ran as far away as he could. He withdrew all the money he could from his account, learned to use his ability, bought countless contacts to counteract the weakness, and became different people in each city he visited.

What did I ever do to you
that you should treat me this way?
is it really such a crime
for an angel to speak his mind?
in time I'll try to shed some light
if I were a big boy I wouldn't cry
but since I'm not a big boy I'll have to cry

what did I ever do so wrong
that you should cast me from grace
though I love to rule in hell here
how I miss the taste of heaven
its soft and cool embrace
if I were a big boy I wouldn't cry
but since I'm not a big boy
I'll have to close my eyes
and picture what's it's like

I'm just like you
made by he
despised by they
I'm almost me
I'm nearly human look at me
I'm almost a human being
I'm just like you
made by he
despised by they
I'm almost me
i'm nearly human
pity me I'm almost a human being

I still remember your light
and it was streaming down
and burning out my eyes
If I were a big boy i wouldn't cry
but since I'm not a big boy
i'll have to close my eyes
and picture what it's like

I'm just like you
made by he
despised by they
I'm almost me
I'm nearly human look at me
I'm almost a human being

these tears are real
I'm jealousy I'm spite and hate
to the core I'm mean
I'm nearly human look at me
I'm almost a human being
I'm just like you
better than he
to hell with they
I'm almost me
I'm nearly human
Pity me I'm almost a human being

don't touch me ahhh
I couldn't bear the thought of it now
don't touch me ahhh
I couldn't bear the strain
don't touch me ahhh
I couldn't bear the thought of it now
touch me touch me touch me
don't touch me touch me touch me

So begins...
