*My dreams (aspirations): "Oh, I've given up on dreams long ago. Though I do wish my children were better behaved. Or that, I suppose, I paid better attention to them. The two may be correlated. No matter. These days I just like to enjoy life as best I can on the surface. I've certainly gotten used to it."

*My fears: "What an impertinent question! But if you must ask I can be a little agoraphobic. That comes with a childhood underground, I suppose. Being out and about rather than indoors can leave me feeling rather vulnerable." Pause. "Sometimes I might fear that I'll break Dareus's heart one day, and he is such a sweet man."

*My talents: "Oh, I don't know about my talents. That's more the area of this nation, isn't it? I myself am a great appreciater of the Arts, however, and I am patroness to many. I find music charming, and I might like to sing on my own, but I hardly would consider that a talent. Does an adept understanding of social strategy count?"

Views on the war: "I try not to concern myself with such horrid matters, love. Leave that to the men to worry about. As queen it is my duty to boost morale among the people and support our culture; it is not my business to question what has been in place far longer than me and mine."

*Personality: Fun loving but to some end shallow, Emma tried to embrace her marriage as best she could. She likes hosting and attending social events and is a great lover of the arts that her new home is so famous for. She loves her husband to some degree, but more as one would adore an over-doting pet. She appreciates how well she treats her and enjoys spending time with him, but would rather devote her attentions elsewhere. It has been rumoured that she may keep a consort, but she refuses to speak on that matter. She is none too distant with her children, however, never a girl with a nurturing nature. She does love her daughters, but she's spent most of their life trying to stay out of their way. Her son Nereus is the favorite of her children (though she makes a strong effort not to make it obvious). It is not a close-guarded secret, on a darker note, that she has never been fond of the big-talking boy that Dareus (in what she feels was a moment of misguided addletry) adopted. Heir or no, she has a certain distaste for him.

*Physical traits: Uncommon for a girl of the Dark Nation, Emma was born with fair hair and skin. She generally keeps her golden hair up (a lady should never be seen with it down, in her opinion) and often in something as sensible as a plain bun. She was pleased to find that in the Water Nation cloth comes in a far wider array of colors than in the home of her childhood. She loves intricate, lacy gowns and blue has become a favorite color of hers to wear, as it brings out her large eyes.

History: Emma was the youngest daughter of the Dark Nation and never expected to be in a position of power. However, she was surprised to find that the eldest son of the Water Nation was quite fond of her, and they eventually were married. She adjusted as best she could to this new world of light and water and soon found solace in the arts that the nation is best known for. Through this she was able to easily integrate with the court dramas that kept the noble families busy and has since built herself quite an army of alliances within the group.

Though never accused by the king himself, many have implied that she is not as faithful as she could be. Though she has admitted that she may never love King Dareus as he adores her, she still swears that she is true to him. She is not by any stretch of the imagination, however, the most honest of women.

Views on life: She takes a laissez faire approach to ruling, and life in general. If something stresses her or makes her ill she chooses to ignore it, much more willing to engage in experiences of the moment. The queen has admitted that she might not be the happiest one could be.

[if queen/king..] I feel _____ about my child's arranged marriage: Emma will miss her children, but she understands that all of this has to happen fr the Greater Good. She is interested to welcome the two Dark princesses into her realm, maybe helping them with their transition. She also suspects that she will be able to handle them better than some.
[if queen/king..] I (do/do not) regret my marriage, because...: She does not regret her marriage because it has led to a happy home life and she got a chance to realize that there was life outside the confines of the underground.
