Leif Santano

Codename: Crucible

0 · 23 views · located in Earth: Present Day

a character in “The Squad, Task Force 417”, originally authored by SylentStand, as played by RolePlayGateway

Name: Leif Santano
Age: 19
Gender: Male
Height: 6'3''
Weight: 182lb
Position: Intelligence Advisor/Logistical Support (Tech)

Appearance: Leif is a tall and lanky young man with a clean-cut face and shaved head. His innocent blue eyes mask a frightening intelligence and quick wit. He has a rather scrawny build owing in part to genetics, and also to the nature of his job as a desk jockey.

Despite his youth compared to the other members of Task Force 417, Leif has a highly logical mind. He excels at quick calculations and timely solutions, an asset that endeared him to SOCOM recruiters and launched his career into the Special Forces. He has an overwhelming desire to please, and runs himself ragged trying to 'fit in with the guys' whenever possible. His private fear is that he'll be seen as a weak link in the unit due to his inexperience on the battlefield.

Under pressure however, Leif is a paradigm of cool. Never one to lose his head, he watches his monitors to the point that he can envision the battlefield in real time and make accurate predictions.

His equipment varies with the mission.

Leif joined the army at 17 to escape from failing grades and a deteriorating home environment. Surprisingly to everyone but him, his initiation tests placed him very highly on the MOS chart. He was made to retake the test, though he knew the truth: his poor grades at school were the result of boredom rather than ignorance. He was snatched up by the Army engineers who put him through accelerated Basic, and then sent him to sapper training at the Engineering school.

By this time, Leif was sore enough to realize that the life of a grunt was not for him. When the opportunity to transfer out to a little-known intelligence branch of the army emerged, he took it and accepted a ticket to Fort Bragg. With it came entry into Task Force 417, though he wonders if he is to be a permanent member.

So begins...
